Well, we didn't quite ring in the New Year at all this year.  Our new church schedule has us starting at 9 am, I had to teach the next day, and we stayed up late pretty much each night of the two week vacation we were off school.  Trent & I watched a movie nearly each night after the girls went to bed or he worked late on construction projects and I did my own thing waiting for him to come home.

This was our extended family nativity.  Miss Bug & Miss Bean both modified their angel halos. Miss Bug decorating her orange with cloves - it sure did smell good! We stopped at the Princess Festival on the way to Grandma's house.  The girls loved dressing up and they loved seeing others dressed up as princesses, but we are glad that we didn't have to pay for it!  We are Pass of all Pass holders, so we received an email and saw that it was no cost and on our way out of town.  I am hoping to take my little princesses to the festival at Thanksgiving Point

Something that I have always wanted to do and haven't before is to wrap up all of our Christmas storybooks and let my girls open one up each day until Christmas.  I didn't have enough books to fill the entire month of December, so I ordered a Christmas collection through our preschool book order and we ended up with way more than enough.  So, we started our advent the week of Thanksgiving.

We are definitely missing the really warm weather at our house!  We loved heading across the street to the park to play during the summer.  The only thing that might make us feel better is a really big snow storm so we can go outside and play in the snow.  It just isn't any fun to play outside in the cold if there isn't any snow!

Our girls had an awesome time at the fair.  When we pulled into the parking lot they both started screaming!  We read Charlotte's Web last year at this time and we planned to take them on the Ferris Wheel, but we ended up just missing it.  This year, we made sure to read the book again and watch the movie.  We had to go on the Ferris Wheel and we went on a few other rides, as well.
