Admissions 2014

Candidates are invited for admissions into B.A.LL.B (Hons) Course 2014 in Banaras Hindu University. B.A.LL.B (Hons) is a five year course and Fee for this course is Rs. 60000/- per annum.

Eligibility Details:

Candidates who have passed intermediate or equivalent with minimum marks of 50%( for General),45% (for OBC's and Physically challenged) and 40%(for SC & ST).

Selection Procedure

Selection of candidates for admission will be based on their performance in the Admission test BLAT 2014 conducted by Banaras Hindu University.

Details of BLAT Exam:

BLAT 2014 test contains 150 multiple-choice questions and for 450 marks. Questions will be related to General Awareness, Mental Ability, Current Affairs, Aptitude and English comprehension.

The admission test will be conducted on 20th July 2014 at following entrance test centres - , Chennai, Varanasi, Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata.

Selection Process:

Hindustan Aviation Academy, Bangalore offers a four year, eight semester Aerospace Engineering degree course from Central University of Karnataka, Gulbarga. The course syllabus is structured in such a way that the student has option to exit after two years with Advanced Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering or continue for another two years for grant of B.Tech. Aerospace degree.

On completion of six semesters and after clearing three DGCA examinations students are awarded the Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License (BAMEL) which qualify them for employment in Civil Airlines.

Diploma Courses:

A Student who has completed diploma can appear for selection for lateral entry in to B.Tech/B.E Second year directly. The benefit from this scheme is that a student would be studying almost all same subjects of diploma course with higher syllabus content. Hence students will be definitely in a better position to do very well as compared to a direct B.Tech/B.E entry after +2/PUC.

Eligibility:

Pass in SSLC/10th Std/Equivalent examinations with 35% marks in Science and Math's subjects.
Students having qualification other than Karnataka State Board have to apply for eligibility certificate from the Directorate of Technical Education(D.T.E), Government of Karnataka, Bangalore.

Guidelines for International Students:

Students need to procure a letter of admission (provisional) from the recognised colleges or institution, prior to applying for a student visas. Alternate Training Scheme Course Details

This is shortly known as ATS. This course is designed by International Maritime Organization. ATS is split into three phases as follows:

Phase-1 (First year): 12 months training (residential) at CSSM.

Phase-2 (Second year): 9 months training on-board ship as Trainee Marine Engineer.

Phase-3 (Third year): 11 months training (residential) at CSSM.

Total Fee: Rs.8,93,000/-

On completion of ATS at CSSM, the candidates will have to appear for the M.O.T. Class-IV Part "A" examination in the following papers, conducted by D.G.Shipping, Government of India:1) Mathematics
2) Marine Heat Engines
3) Applied Mechanics
4) Marine Engineering Drawing

After passing the above examination, the candidates will be issued Certificate of Competency (CoC) by D.G.Shipping. Based on this certificate, they will be designated as Junior Engineer to sail in the ship. Given the level of expertise available at CSSM, passing the above examination will be smooth sailing affair for the cadets. Through ATS, one can become Chief Engineer in a short period of 8 to 10 years.

Eye sight: 6/6 permissible upto +2.5, Colour vision should be normal, Field of vision should be normal.
Hearing: Normal in both ears.
Height: A minimum of 157 cms.
Weight: A minimum of 50 kgs.

Note: In case of Lakshadweep, Amindivi, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Assam and other hill areas including those from Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tirupura, Garhwar and Sikkim the candidate's height may be reduced by 5 cm and proportionately the minimum weight should be 45kgs.

K L University 2014 Admissions into Ph.D & M.Phil. Programmes

In this post I have mentioned details about the admission notification for Ph.D. and M.Phil programmes 2014-15 in KL University. About K L University

K L University first started as K L College of Engineering in the academic year 1980-81. Later in year 1996 it was converted into Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation. And then it was shortly named as K L University. This University is situated in a spacious 100-acre campus on the banks of Buckingham Canal of river Krishna, eight kilo meters from Vijayawada city. KL University offers several flexibility for students at both Undergraduate (B.Tech) and post graduate (M.Tech, MBA and MCA) level. This include acceleration & deceleration of degree programme, minor degree, degree with specialisation, withdrawal and substitution etc. This University had installed the infrastructure, employed well experienced faculty. They design and deliver programs that help enhancing the communication and soft skills of students. The University has been successful for the last 7 years, in employing all the students who have registered and eligible for placement.

Admissions

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates into Ph.D. and M.Phil programmes.

Categories of Admission:

Candidates will be admitted into the Ph.D. and M.Phil programmes of the university in any one of the following categories:
a. Full-time
b. Part-time

Eligibility For Ph.D.

The minimum educational qualifications for admission into the Ph. D programme of
the University are as follows:

* Ph.D in Engineering

a) Master's degree in Engineering/Technology or M.Tech. by Research or equivalent Degree from any university recognised by UGC.
b) Candidates with a first class (minimum of 60% marks or 6.75 CGPA). For SC/ST/Physically Challenged Candidates 5% relaxation (minimum of 55% marks or 6.25 CGPA) will be applicable as per the Central Government Norms.

* Ph.D. in Sciences/Management/Humanities

a) Master's degree or equivalent Degree in the relevant area
b) With a minimum of 55% marks from a university recognised by UGC. 5% relaxation will be applicable for SC/ST/differently abled candidates as per the statutory bodies norms.

Eligibility For M.Phil

The minimum educational qualifications for admission into the M.Phil.
programme of the University are as follows:

* M.Phil. in Sciences/Management/Humanities

a) Master Degree in Arts, Science, Computer Application and Management of this University or any other qualification recognised as equivalent thereto in the field of study.
b) Minimum eligibility is 55% of marks or equivalent CGPA. However
5% relaxation is given to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/differently
abled as per the statutory bodies norms.

NOTE:There will be no MPhil Programme in ENGINEERING STREAM.

Mode of Admission into Ph.D & M.Phil Programmes

There are two modes of admission: online and offline

Offline Application for Admission:

Application forms can be obtained in person or by post from K L University Administrative Office, Museum Road, Vijayawada-02 by paying Rs. 900/- in cash or by D.D in favour of K L University payable at vijayawada. Filled in applications along with two copies of all certificates should reach the mentioned address on or before 30-05-2014.Applications can be obtained from KLU Campus.

Online Application for Admission:

Applications can also be submitted online at

You may fill and submit the application and pay the application fee of Rs. 900/- online through Credit Card, Debit Card or Net banking. After completing the application process successfully, print your application form, attach a latest passport size colour photograph of the applicant, have the application signed by the applicant & parent/guardian and send it through Registered post/Speed post to the address given below.
