It has two panes.on the Left pane select - SECURITY OPTIONS under Local Policies
Then look in the left pane for - ""Interactive Logon: Message text for users attemting to log on""DOUBLE Click on this option. The window shown in fig. 2 appears.
You can write anything in this window you wish to show to the users before logging on.To give title to the window which should appear before logging on click on the option in the right pane just belowthe optio we clicked earlier.ie. click on ""Message Title for users attempting to log on""

KGB ARCHIVER - compress at an unbeleivable level

noreply@blogger.com (Cool Dude Kartik) — Sat, 22 Aug 2009 13:58:00 +0000

Hello Frndz. All of you use different compressing softwares like Winzip, WinRAR etc. These softwares give you many functionalities but dont give much benifit in terms of file sizes adfter compression.
This is the best in class compressing sofware in terms of ULTRA-COMPRESSING ability. The file size of the packages created which are of .kgb extension are very very small. It makes Data Ultra compact and is a must downloadable.
But everything is this world has pros and cons. The disadvantages are that for high data compression levelsit takes more time and same is applicable for extracting data from those files also.Download the KGB archeiver software for free from the end of the post. But overall it can make your dat of ~500MB to mere 1or2 MB ie. an unbeleivable compresion. So what you Say!

Your pet Folder Virus AD5D90 at your service

noreply@blogger.com (Cool Dude Kartik) — Sat, 22 Aug 2009 13:53:00 +0000

Hey this is one of my posts written on my researches on computer viruses.
So it staes that many of you (specially net users) may have seen your copmuter
sick of converting the folders to executable files (actually the .exe files which the virus creates has
the same icon as that of we have of our folders in our computers) automatically and sometimes
creating new virus files which appear as folders named as ",,,,," or "......".These commas or full stops actually serve
as the folder names. and if you come across such folders , never open them.

The fact behind this pity virus is that it never deletes the contents of that folder nor the folder itself
but create a new .exe file with the same name as of the folder and makes th original folder hidden.
So whenever you come acoss such a situation don't fear and follow my tips.
I have also made a downloadable copy of this vir in a .zip file from where it cannot
harm your copmuter.Whenever you want to take revenge from anyone just extract the contents of the .zip
file to the CD or Pendrive and give it to your foe, The moment he will access that folder the virus will
be activated and damage his computer.Don't worry its safe to do this.Your computer will not be harmed by this.

One more thimg if the anti-virus will be strong enough in the host's computer , the virus will be detectd
and the Game will be over.

Download a safe copy of that virus to be extracted .

Ubuntu [Linux] Pocket Guide v1.1

noreply@blogger.com (Cool Dude Kartik) — Sat, 04 Jul 2009 21:46:00 +0000

Most of us don't shift to free linux distros (such as ubuntu) as compared to Windows operating systems due to lack of knowledge about operability about them. Hereby, I bring you the latest pocket guide to using ubuntu. This is the exact replica of original printed handbook of ubuntu which will help you get familiar with ubuntu operating system.

It's ideal for those who need vital information on all aspects of using Ubuntu, but who don’t have time to wade through thick documentation.

Each chapter of Ubuntu Pocket Guide and Reference tackles an aspect of Ubuntu.

First, you learn about installation—getting Ubuntu onto your computer—after which you learn how to configure your computer's hardware.

Following this, you’re introduced to the Ubuntu desktop, and the tricks and techniques of efficient day-to-day usage. The book then describes the highways of the Ubuntu filesystem, and gives a full run-down of Ubuntu’s file manager.

Next, the command-line is tackled in-depth, after which software management is explained. Finally, system security is described—configuring the firewall, installing antivirus, and encrypting sensitive data. Appendixes provide a glossary of terms, and a guide to understanding technical documentation.

Written for anybody switching to Ubuntu, particularly former Windows users, Ubuntu Pocket Guide and Reference assumes zero Linux knowledge. It provides the wisdom of the expert user and concisely conveys core competencies.

Table Of Contents :

Installing Ubuntu
Configuring Ubuntu
Getting to grips with the desktop
Users and the filesystem
Hands-on at the command-line
Software management
Securing the system

APPENDIX A: Glossary of terms
APPENDIX B: Learning more and getting help
