1.) Open a Word Document by going to Start, All Programs, Microsoft Word.

2.) From the menu bar, click Tools.

3.) Select Options from the drop down menu.

4.) The Options dialogue box will open. Select the General tab.

5.) Now you will find a check box that says "Blue background, white text." Click to select it so that you have a tick mark on the box.

6.) Click OK to save the changes and to close the options dialogue box.

Now, go back to your Word document. See the difference?

Yes, now it has a blue background and when you type, the text will be all white. Try this for a few days and you should see a drastic change on the eye strain you've been experiencing.

How to add sub domain to blogger adding sub domain to blog custom domain

This tutorial is for all those who are using Custom Domains with Blogger. If you already have a blogger blog at some Custom domain like www.yourdomain.com , then you might want to add a sub domains to this custom domain like blog.yourdomain.com , gallery.yourdomain.com etc. In order to create blogs at sub-domains, you need to create CNAME records for the same.

Create Sub Domain on a Blogger Custom Domain

Here we will learn how we can add a new sub domain to your blogger custom domain blog. As an example we will learn how to create a sub domain blog.yourdomain.com to your custom domain blog. (If you have need some other sub-domain change blog with what you want). To do that we need to create 2 CNAME records.(one of them will be used for redirection purpose)

1. blog.yourdomain.com pointing to ghs.google.com

2. www.blog.yourdomain.com pointing to ghs.google.com

If you are having a self hosted website, then you will have to create these two CNAME Records with your Web Host.You might be able to do it from the “Simple DNS Zone Editor” in most cPanels. If you don’t have such an option, contact your Web Host and ask them to create these two CNAME recordsfor you.After creating these records with your webhost(and after they have propagated), publish your blogspot blog to that sub domain(Skip the tuts for CNAME Creation on Different domain Registrars. They are not applicable for Self hosted Websites)

If you don’t have a self hosted website,then to create the CNAMEs you need to login to your domain control panel. So if you bought the domain via blogger, then you have to first login to Google APPSto get into your Domain Control panel.

If you bought the domain from within Blogger, then you have to get into your domain control panel. To do that go to

http://google.com/a/cpanel/yourdomain.com

you will have to replace yourdomain.com with your domain name. From the Google APPS dashboard, Go to Domain Settings > Domain Names and click on Advanced DNS Settings. From thenew page, Sign in to DNS Console(of Enom or Godaddy with the username and password that you get from here.)

Creating CNAMEs

1. Login to your domain registrar account.

2. Go to DNS Management/ Manage Domain page.

3. Click on your domain name

4. To add a CNAME record, click NEW ROW.

5. Enter blog as Host Name , ghs.google.com as Address and CNAME as Record Type

Similarly add another record with www.blog as Host Name , ghs.google.com as Address and CNAME as Record Type and create it as shown in the picture.

Create another one

Now the Sub-domain is ready.

Switching your blogspot blog to the Custom Sub-Domain

I assume that you have already have a blog which you want to switch to the custom-sub domain. Get into its Dashboard and navigate to Settings > Publishing > Custom Domain and click on the linksaying “Already own a domain? Switch to advanced settings” Now provide the url blog.yourdomain.com or www.blog.yourdomain.com(you can opt any of them as per your wish)over there. Type the captcha and save the Settings. Enable the redirect option and Save the settings once again.

How to access Facebook, Gmail and other sites without Login Password

Security, today is a major concern while surfing on Internet. Many websites we use including Socialnetworking sites, you require username and password to login and access content inside. Also, some have implemented tough system to protect privacy but here is a trick which lets you access websites without requiring Login Credentials.

When you login to any website using Username and password, system checks the information and authenticates your login and stores a cookie on your system which is then used for further requests. This is stored until you log-out or clear cookies from browser.

Obviously it is very common for websites to protect your username and password by encrypting the initial login. In fact, after browsing, where the authentication is done through cookies, it is not encrypted, and when a malicious user takes possession of your cookie, they can have full access to the “website” provided they are on the same IP address. This is called HTTP session hijacking (sometimes called “sidejacking”) when an attacker gets a hold of a user’s cookie, allowing them to do anything the user can do on a particular website.

When you login via Open Wi Fi network, many others are connected to same and they have same IP Address. Firesheep is a Firefox extension designed to demonstrate how can one take possession of some other person’s cookies and login as himself on any site namely, Facebook, Gmail, etc.

After installing this Firefox addon, you will see it in a sidebar. When you are on any Open / Busy WiFi, just press “Start Capturing” this starts searching for a user browsing some insecure site known to Firesheep and displays their name.

When you double click on that link, you are logged in as themselves instantly.

This is compatible with Mac OS X, Linux and Windows. Windows users need WinCap installed to use this.

Recover the lost administrators password in Windows XP

Slightly more work needed if you lose or forget the Windows XP administrator password.

1.First reboot Windows XP in safe mode by re-starting the computer and pressing F8 repeated as the computer starts up.

2.Then (in safe mode) click Start and then click Run. In the open box type "control userpasswords2" without the quotes - I have just used quotes to differentiate what you have to type.

3.You will now have access to all the user accounts, including the administrators account and will be able to reset the lost password.

4.Just click the administrators user account, and then click Reset Password.

5.You will need to add a new password in the New password and the Confirm new password boxes, and confirm by clicking OK.

All done, you have recovered the lost adminitrators password!

Trick to Show ur name after time in taskbar...

I m here to tell u a trick to add up ur name in place of AM and PM beside time and make urself to feel proud among ur group of frnds.
Its simple
Start -> Control Pannel -> Regional and LAnguage option -> Customize (beside English US) -> Go to TIME tab -> Change AM symbol and PM symbol from AM and PM to ur name -> Apply -> Ok ...
IS it changed ??? Might be not ...Now go to time in taskbar and Double Click it to open "Date and time property" ...Look place where time chnges in digital form i.e. 02:47:52 AM , click to arrow to cnage the AM or PM by selecting and press arrow. It will Show ur name or name that was entered by u, Apply -> OK and be HAPPY 8)

Computer viruses are designed to cause damage to your computer data. So you mustn’t be downloading files that are virus infected. In business or personal communication, it is very embarrassing if the receiver tells you that your files are virus infected.

Yes, I hear you saying that come on, I use an antivirus. How can the files be infected as I update my antivirus and scan all my files on computer regularly. I know almost all of the online and offline PC’s have antivirus protection on. Let me be very clear with you, even if you are using an antivirus, whatever it’s name be, there is no 100% guarantee that it will detect 100% viruses. Sad but true! If you believe that your antivirus is 100% completely taking care of known and unknown viruses, then it’s wrong!

While, you can use two antiviruses – one on your regular hard disk and one working from a bootable disk/CD/DVD etc. as and when required, there are still chances that you might be sending or downloading an infected file.

I got idea of writing this post after one of my friend (first) using Mcafee antivirus sent a file to another friend (second) who was using Symantec’s Norton antivirus and the second friend found the file infected.

Computer Tip To Download Almost Any Of YouTube Videos On Your PC

Almost everyone wants to download some or other video of his/her choice from Youtube.com, Google’s site, which is one of the most popular video site.

At the top left of your youtube.com browser window, in the address bar you will see some characters before & starting with youtube.com such as http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYDmo0Vd2RA (shown with the red big oval in the next screenshot).

Right click on this address in the youtube.com video address bar window at the start of the youtube.com and select just before & with the help of mouse. Ignore the characters after & in youtube.com address of your choice of video.

As you right clicked on the youtube.com video address bar, a small menu window with various standard options will come, select Copy.

Now open a new tab in your browser window, type savevid.com and press Enter key of your keyboard.

Site savevid.com will open and you will see a small rectangular white bar opposite to URL in the top left.

Right click on this URL bar and click Paste.

You will see the youtube.com address of the video of your choice that you wanted to download on to your PC appear in the savevid.com download URL space.

Click on Download on Savevid.com opposite to URL bar (shown in the next screenshot)

If this is is first time you are downloading video from savevid.com, it will prompt for installation of a plugin along with Java. Install the same without any worries and follow the instructions that appear for Running the Java etc.

How to hide files and folders in JPEG image file

A File or Folder of any size can be hidden in an JPEG file by compression techniques and masking it in the image file.

Steps to hide a file in a JPEG images are --
• Create folder in any of the hard disk drive.(c: \New Folder)
• Then put some files whichever you want to hide in New Folder, as well as a JPEG image that you would like to hide the files in.
• Then select all the file which you want to hide and add to ZIP or RAR .
• Now create zip or rar files which you want to hide,
• After this go to Windows Start menu, select Run and type cmd.
• Type “cd \” then type “cd New Folder” press enter
• Type “copy /b image.JPG + NewFolder.rar image.jpg”, here you have to Replace the name “image” with the name of your image, and replace “New Folder” with the name of your compressed file.)
• Then you get the system message “1 file(s) copied.”
• Now you can go ahead and delete the original files, except for the newly formed Image.
• Then you get the files in your image for that you need to do is right-click on the image then only you will get the option of extracting it. Extract the image to get the hidden files.

NOTE : This is a old technique which hackers used to do steal the data of the target and it can be done on stuffs easily even now so when u browse the net make sure you won't click these kind of suspicious images hosted in some of the suspicious sites just to steal the data of the victim and viruses also can enter a system when a image of these kind is clicked.

The method to find out either the image is embedded with some file or not is check the extention of the JPEG image file if it is just plain JPEG file then it is just an image if it is something other like jpeg.exe, jpeg.rar and so on then that particular image is an embedded image with some file in it.

What to do when your Google Account is Hacked

1. Reset Your Google Account Password:

a) Type the email address associated with your Google Account or Gmail user name at google.com/accounts/ForgotPasswd - you will receive an email at your secondary email address with a link to reset your Google Account Password.
This will not work if the other person has changed your secondary email address or if you no longer have access to that address.

b) you can get the reset code to your mobile as SMS if you had registered your mobile number with your google account. entering of the code you get to your mobile will reset the password easily

c) Answering the Security Questions which u had selected while creating the account properly can also do the job

2. For Google Accounts Associated with Gmail, Orkut :

If you have problems while logging into your Gmail account, you can consider contacting Google by filling this form. It however requires you to remember the exact date when you created that Gmail account. And also submission of your orkut profile id and the email ID of some of the most contacted accounts from that account and the last date and time when u had successfully logged to your account.IF the Gmail had some labels in it then submitting of those Labels also help in this process.

Here are some of the tricks which can be used on youtube videos of that particular video url for the desired kind of the result as mentioned with the trick.

1) View high quality videos : Youtube gives you the option to switch to high quality videos for some of the videos, however you can check if a video is available in high quality format by appending ‘&fmt=18′(stereo, 480 x 270 resolution) or ‘&fmt=22′(stereo, 1280 x 720 resolution) for even higher quality.

2) Embed Higher Quality Videos : While the above trick works for playback, if however you want to embed hig quality videos you need to append “&ap=%2526fmt%3D18″ and “&ap=%2526fmt%3D22″ to the embed url.

3) Cut the chase and link to the interesting part : Linking to a video where the real action starts at 3 minutes 22 seconds, wondered if you could make it start at 03:22? You are in luck. All you have to do is add #t=03m22s (#t=XXmYYs for XX mins and YY seconds) to the end of the URL.

4) Hide the search box : The search box appears when you hover over an embedded video. To hide the search box add ‘&showsearch=0′ to the embed url.

5) Embed only a part of Video : Just append ‘&start=30′ to skip first 30s of the video. In general you can modify the value after start= to the number of seconds you want to skip the video for.

6) Bypass Youtube Regional Filtering : Some videos are only available in certain parts of the world. Your IP Address is used to determine your location and then allow or deny access to the video. Change the url from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=<somecode> to http://www.youtube.com/v/<somecode>

7) Download Video : Although not inherently a youtube trick but useful all the same for downloading videos. Just change youtube to kickyoutube in the url of the video and it will take you to kickyoutube.com with all the options for downloading the video you were watching. Firefox Addons like downloadvideohelper, grabitall, youtubevideodownloader etc.. also can be used to download the video from the youtube.

8) Autoplay a Video : If you want your embedded video to start playing automatically, once again you can do so by simply modifying the url. In this case you need to append the string “&autoplay=1” to the url and remove everything before and after the embed tag.

9) Loop a Video : If you wish to loop a video add the string “ &loop=1” to the end of the url.

10) Disable related videos in YouTube’s embedded Player : Many webmasters may want to disable related videos in YouTube’s embedded player since it encourages the reader to navigate away from the current website. Once again the solution is as simple as appending the string “rel=0” to the video URL.

Instead of manually modifying the embed code you can let a new service called VTubeTools do it. VTubeTools.com allows you to customize your YouTube player with a few clicks. You can resize the player, autostart the video, loop the video and enable high quality version. It also allows you to set custom background (you can just change the colours or even use your own background picture).

11) Embed a Part of a YouTube Video : Youtube supports a parameter called “start” that allows start playing an embedded video after a specified number of seconds. For example if the interesting part of the video begins only after 20 seconds you need to use the code &start=20.
