I didn't and I gotta tell you...it was really starting to get me down!  I think that by NOT working out, it made me feel even worse?  Maybe it's all just mental!?!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffffff;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well, I headed to the gym today and thought I would at least get a half hour or so of exercise in, so here's what I did:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Warm up:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;7 Minutes on the Eliptical&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Workout:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;5 Minutes of Kick Boxing floowed by&lt;br /&gt;5 Burpees (I don't know if that's how you spell it)&lt;br /&gt;5 Push ups&lt;br /&gt;10 Jumping Jacks&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;I did this rotation 3 times&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then 5 minutes of kick boxing&lt;br /&gt;10 Burpees&lt;br /&gt;10 Push ups&lt;br /&gt;20 Jumping Jacks&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Cool Down:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2 sets of Plinks&lt;br /&gt;2 sets of Side Plinks (each side)&lt;br /&gt;Iron Cross&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;That was enough for me today!  I sure hope I can get rid of this miserable cold I have had! I am almost to the half way point...58.4 pounds to go...slow and steady wins the race!!&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffffff;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;So what am I eating...chicken and lots of it, tuna, turkey and a little bit of beef as well, but I have never been much of a beef eater.  &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffffff;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Lots and lots of fruits and veggies and for snack time, a few whole natural almonds!&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffffff;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;I stopped drinking coffee for about 20 days, but I thought I was going to die...I was sooo crabby and tired.  Plus I was scared that Starbucks would go out of business if I took anymore time off from there!!   I am drinking just one a day now...that's enough to keep me going!&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffffff;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;I'm still working out like a crazy lady, I thought I had a bump on my upper arm, was a little scared, then realized it was a muscle...LOL!! I didn't realize how much time had passed til I went to look at the blog and saw my last post was over a month ago!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cccccc;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have been sooooo busy, especially with my other blog &lt;a href="http://www.savingmoneyinmissouri.com/"&gt;Clippin with Carie&lt;/a&gt;.  That blog takes a lot of time and energy each day!  I'm not complaining...I love every minute of it!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cccccc;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have been going to the gym faithfully and working out like a crazy woman.  It's so frustrating because the scale and I just don't seem to be on the same page! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cccccc;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;TODAY (10/10) I weighed in at 215.2 - which is a total loss of 48.4 pounds&lt;/strong&gt;, but I have slacked off a bit on my healthy eating and it's amazing to me just how much of a difference that makes.  I mean I haven't been totally out of control, but I haven't been as diligent as I should be!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cccccc;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So today...I start back on a commitment of NO SUGAR, NO PROCESSED FOODS for at least 20 days to get my brain reprogrammed and remind myself that it's not so bad!  Maybe that will bring me out of my plateau!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cccccc;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I may be a little crabby the next few days trying to get myself back on program, the hubs is going to need to batten down the hatches...it's gonna get crazy around here! OOOPPPSS!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffffff;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here's the thing...It's not that I have been eating bad stuff (okay maybe a few times), but I have just gotten out of the habit of eating multiple small meals during the day and not working out, so back to the gym I go today and I am trying to re-energize myself to get back on track and stay on track!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffffff;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Why is it sooo hard to lose weight?? It has been hard, I am not going to lie, but it has been so worth it!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffffff;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have only eaten lean meats, fruits and veggies! I have not gone out to eat once in the last 28 days and I tell you what...that alone will do wonders for your budget!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffffff;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#3333ff;"&gt;I have lost a lot of weight, but more importantly, I FEEL so much better! I have tons of energy and I am starting to feel better about myself!!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffffff;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My husband is not doing this with me, but he eats what I cook for dinner and he has lost 9 pounds, just by eating healthy in the evening and walking with me at night. WAHOO!!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffffff;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have just been so busy the past couple weeks, but I am still making sure that I give myself time to workout at the gym in the morning and walking though my neighborhood in the evening!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffffff;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have not deviated one bit from the sugar, processed foods concept! I have not ingested one ounce of sugar or processed foods in almost 3 full weeks!! I didn't know I could even do that, but it just shows me that when I put my mind to it...I can do anything!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffffff;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am not really missing or craving anything except cheese! I have stuck to eating lean meats, and produce!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cccccc;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I bought a George Foreman Grill and have used it probably 10 out of the past 12 days!!  I love it, but it's kind of a pain to clean...so if you have any tips on cleaning that thing easily, please pass them along.  I also went out and bought a food scale in order to figure out a REAL portion size!  HOLY COW!!!  I never really realized that a portion was so small!  No wonder I am where I am, I have been overeating for so many years and sometimes didn't even realize it!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cccccc;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well, it is really paying off!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cccccc;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today, I weighed in at 229.6 pounds, which is totally amazing to me since last Friday, I was at 237! Kind of frustrating, ya know!  You do all that work and don't even lose a couple pounds...what gives??&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffffff;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;I decided it was time to take a serious look at my food intake and make some changes!!  This has to be what has been holding me back!&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffffff;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Well I started the week with a trip to the grocery store to overhaul my menu!  I bought fresh fruits and veggies, chicken, lean beef and shrimp!  That's what I was going to stuff my face with this week and see if that would trigger a drop in weight!&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cccccc;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Well, low and behold, mama dropped a couple pounds!! So I thought it was time to re-measure and see if I was losing any inches, since it seems the scale doesn't want to cooperate too much!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cccccc;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Shoulders = minus 1 inch&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cccccc;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Chest = minus 1 inch&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cccccc;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Waist = minus 2.25 inches - woo hoo&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cccccc;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Hips = minus 1.25 inches&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cccccc;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Leg = minus .5 inches&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cccccc;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Arm = minus .25 inches&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cccccc;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So I was feeling pretty good about my numbers and thought I would put them to the test! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cccccc;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I headed over to Old Navy, since that is where I currently get my jeans and I tried on the exact jeans that I always get, but one size smaller and guess what!!!  They fit great!!  I even bought just one pair so that I have some jeans that aren't totally falling off my booty!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cccccc;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;YEAH!!! It's not that I have fallen off the wagon again, just the opposite, I have been really busy, but I have stuck to my workout routine faithfully!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cccccc;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I weighed myself this morning, even though I said I was going to throw that scale away, and I weighed in at 243.2, so now I am down 20.4 pounds!  That equates to about 10 pounds per month, which from what I understand is the healthy way to lose weight!?!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cccccc;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am going to wait til the end of the month to re-measure and see if the inches are coming off too!  I don't really feel like they are, but I guess it's just a mental game!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cccccc;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;By the way...I boxed for the first time in my life today!  I wanted to change up the cardio a little so I spent about 20 minutes boxing! Why? I find it totally frustrating to work my booty off, watch what I am eating and then after a week, only lose 1 pound!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cccccc;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:180%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;What gives???&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cccccc;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;I have been working out HARD!!&lt;/strong&gt; Pushing myself to places I didn't even know I could handle!! And ARRGGHHH... 1 stinkin' pound in two weeks....&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cccccc;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Yesterday, I set an actual specific goal! Originally, when I started this journey, I wanted to lose 113 pounds, well, that's gonna be a long time comin'!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cccccc;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then, yesterday, I set a new more specific goal and that is to lose 46 pounds by September 24th!! So this week I have been trying out a new life schedule and it has been working for me.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cccccc;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I would always plan to workout in the afternnon, but then something would always come up and my workout would just get pushed aside or I would be too tired or some other lame excuse I could come up with!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cccccc;"&gt;,&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well this week, I have been getting up at 6:15 am, eat breakfast, blog for an hour on my &lt;a href="http://www.savingmoneyinmissouri.com/"&gt;other site&lt;/a&gt;, then get into my workout clothes and be at the gym by 8am!!  I have been doing this nearly all week (today included) and this schedule is really working for me!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cccccc;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This way, my workout is done early and NO EXCUSES!!
