Minneapolis, MN (Tripple Sul Entertainment) January 3, 2009 -- Minnesota’s funk daddy of Hip Hop is nominated for a very fitting Twin Cities Hip Hop award, Twin Cities Best Hustler. The 3rd Annual Twin Cities Hip-Hop Awards show is scheduled for January 31st, 2009 at the Varsity Theater and is presented by High Society Ink.

“This is the first time I have been nominated for a Twin Cities Hip Hop Award.” said Afro about the nomination. “I am excited about being recognized for my hustle, especially by my peers right here in the Twin Cities.” Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Afro often came to the Twin Cities to visit family. After some time spent in the military and being stationed at Fort Snelling, Afro decided to make Minnesota his new home. “It was different here. I saw myself being more prosperous. Don’t get me wrong I love Kansas City and the people there. That is where I got the hustle from. Growing up I had to run and fight to stay away from the cops and the gangs. A lot of people can not understand that unless you lived it.
