The NOH8 Campaign is a photographic silent protest created by celebrity photographer Adam Bouska (http://www.bouska.net) and partner Jeff Parshley in direct response to the passage of Proposition 8 (Prop 8). Proposition 8 (or the California Marriage Protection Act) was a ballot proposition and constitutional amendment passed in the November 2008, state elections. The measure added a new provision, Section 7.5 of the Declaration of Rights, to the California Constitution. The new section reads: “Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California.” Photos feature subjects with duct tape over their mouths, symbolizing their voices being silenced by Prop 8 and similar legislation around the world, with "NOH8" painted on one cheek in protest.

Minneapolis, MN (Tripple Sul Entertainment) January 3, 2009 -- Minnesota’s funk daddy of Hip Hop is nominated for a very fitting Twin Cities Hip Hop award, Twin Cities Best Hustler. The 3rd Annual Twin Cities Hip-Hop Awards show is scheduled for January 31st, 2009 at the Varsity Theater and is presented by High Society Ink.

“This is the first time I have been nominated for a Twin Cities Hip Hop Award.” said Afro about the nomination. “I am excited about being recognized for my hustle, especially by my peers right here in the Twin Cities.” Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Afro often came to the Twin Cities to visit family. After some time spent in the military and being stationed at Fort Snelling, Afro decided to make Minnesota his new home. “It was different here. I saw myself being more prosperous.
