Born to a Gilnean pirate and a young hedge witch, Kelsea was taken from her parents early on by her paternal grandmother and raised by an aunt and uncle. When the Plague of Undeath struck, she was forced to flee Tirisfal with her grandmother. She witnessed her parents’ death and rise into undeath before leaving.

Upon arrival in Stormwind, Kelsea was immediately handed over to local mages to learn their ways and she developed an affinity for fire magic.

Kelsea went out on her own at 19 despite not having finished her mage training, and despite never learning how to properly control her magic. She fueled her spells in a manner more appropriate for warlockery – using her own life force – and nearly died several times as a result. Eventually she decided “sod this” and started over again, joining the ranks of Stormwind’s paladins and learning to harness her inner flame into a destructive force that wouldn’t kill her.

Events between back then and *now* aren’t entrely clear.

Kelsea’s short, stout, and tends toward appearing slightly annoyed by much of what goes on around her. Painfully bright red hair stands out against pale skin that could really use a little more time in the sun.

She carries her heavy hammer and armour without any effort. It’s possible she’s been hauling big hunks of metal around on her person for a few years now, at least.

Sarcasm and snide remarks come naturally to Kelsea, made all the more ridiculous by her Gilnean accent. She’s prone to talking with her hands.

Kelsea’s distrust of undead is fairly obvious in her attitude toward them: she keeps her distance, she’s more likely to be disrespectful, and she’ll rarely stick around for very long when they’re in the area. ‘Tense’ is an understatement. She *hates* the undead, allied or otherwise.

If nothing else, Kelsea is at least very capable of extreme acts of devotion to her Order and those she considers friends. She’s a curious young woman with a keen interest in the Scarlet Crusade – though you won’t catch her outright saying as much.

Like many gnomes, Annie was born in Gnomeregan and forced to flee when it was irradiated. Her father was killed defending the people from trogg and irradiated gnome alike, leaving her – as the eldest child – to keep the family fed.

She learned to shoot with a very basic rifle by repeatedly approaching dwarves around Kharanos until she found people willing to teach her. Annie adapted very quickly, and by age thirteen she was able to earn enough coin from trapping wildlife and selling the meat and hides to pull her family from poverty.

Her skill as a sharpshooter got her a spot as a performer in the Darkmoon Faire, though with war descending upon the Alliance *again* she left to join the army and has been within the military ever since.

A short, serious-looking young woman often seen clad in light chainmail and with a boomstick in hand, Trixianne “Annie” Oakenstock doesn’t tend to come off as anything more than a typical soldier of the Alliance.

Mazzriel was once a member of the Black Dragonflight.

She worked on Draenor, protecting the children of her sire from outside threats – only to lose her charges to Gruul and his children. She fled the destruction of her flight to hide in Shadowmoon Valley.

The brand-new Netherwing presented Mazz with something else to occupy her time. She studied them intently, which lead her to learn of Illidan and his Illidari.

From there, the temptation of a power that could give her the means for revenge against the Gronn was too much to resist, and she submitted herself to the Illidari and their training. She was awakened to a threat far greater than that which had wiped out so many of her people in Outland, and her mission became clear: channel the fury of the dragon into destruction of the Burning Legion.

‘Cause if the Burning Legion wasn’t stopped, there’d never be a chance for her kind – or anyone else.

Born and raised in Gilneas, Phaedra was raised by a doting mother who trained her in her family’s alchemical tradition. As an adult she opened her own shop – a front for a shelter for battered women and their children.

During the events of the Cataclysm she was killed when she made a last stand against the Worgen – just herself and a cannon – to keep them from killing those she kept watch over.

Most of the women and their children survived to escape Gilneas. Phaedra, however, rose into undeath among the Forsaken.

Phaedra’s nearly immaculate. She shows no signs of rot, her skin is smooth, though her body temperature depends entirely on where she is. Her hair has the silken quality of a really expensive wig.

All this melts away when Shadow form overtakes her and reveals the state she should be in: clumps of hair missing, pale flesh chewed away as if by wildlife, gaping wounds from Worgen claws and teeth.

Drigha was born in the main timeline’s version of Draenor – the one that became Outland. Her mother an orc, her father Draenei, he left when the Orc clans started their relentless assaults against his people in order to guarantee some safety for his family.

During the initial invasion of Azeroth, her mother took Drigha and fled into that foreign land in the hopes of starting a new life. They remained in the wild, traveling the world, until they heard of Thrall’s new Horde and they joined in the building of Orgrimmar. With Mother’s health failing in her old age, Drigha made certain she was set up with a safe, stable home.

Drigha herself spends much of her time traveling as the spirits will her, offering her skills as a healer wherever she goes.

Gravemoss’ life as a blue dragon is unknown. Her story truly starts upon her resurrection as Rotjaw, where she served the Scourge until her second death during the invasion of Orgrimmar – a Tauren shaman sacrificed herself to end the Frostbrood Vanquisher, and Rotjaw’s body shattered once she hit the ground.

Necromancers raised her in the corpse of the shaman that had died with her. Before the battle for Light’s Hope Chapel, something happened and a disconnect occurred between Gravemoss’ mind and body that rendered her nearly mindless. Mograine’s Death Knights became free, and she followed her kind into Icecrown where she worked as a labourer for the Ebon Blade.

The years between then and the Legion’s invasion saw Gravemoss wind up in the care of a man named Stormvine, who had been the husband of the shaman whose corpse she inhabited. Just before the Legion invaded he realized she wasn’t who he thought and he abandoned the Death Knight to her fate.

She awakened when the Legion attacked Kalimdor, and has been figuring out what to do with herself ever since.

Arielle’s mother was a maid of House Cartier. Beauregarde Cartier, the man that would become Marielle Cartier’s father, had a brief fling with the woman who left upon discovering her pregnancy. She was taken in by House Renault and her daughter was adopted by one of the few remaining heirs of the house upon the maid’s illness-related death.

Arielle’s parents were murdered by heretics within a few years of her adoption. Since the only other Renault family member alive was married to her biological father and therefore refused to raise her, she was relegated to one of Ishgard’s orphanages where she lived her life in books. She preferred tales of ancient heroes, though once she delved deep into sacred Halonic texts there was no going back. Arielle joined the Inquisition as soon as she was able. It was hoped that she’d use her aetheric affinities for less-destructive ends; instead, Arielle was fascinated by the torture methods used by Ser Charibert de Leusignac and did her best to tread in his footsteps.

In light of his supposed death, Arielle has further withdrawn into herself and taken it upon herself to continue his work — whether it’s needed or not.

In recent months she has been ousted from the Inquisition and sought the company of her half-sister Marielle in Eorzea, who is not at all pleased by the arrangement and still believes the other woman to be her cousin. Ari isn’t exactly noticing or giving a damn about the lack of welcome.

An officer of the Raging Wyvern platoon alongside Pellam Ursellement, he became its commander fairly early in his career. He was the eldest member of said platoon until it was disbanded after the Dragonsong War.

Savoix enlisted in the army at sixteen and his early life was otherwise uneventful.

Years of dragon-induced injuries have forced him to give up his career as a lancer and pursue a life of pugilism to teach him to better manage his aether and keep himself in shape. He can no longer wear heavy armour or wield a lance due to the pain from old wounds.
