Πότε επιτέλους θα αποκτήσει συνέπεια η match engine του FML; Η ομάδα πήγαινε τρένο, είχε ανέβει μέχρι και την 5η θέση της παγκόσμιας κατάταξης και ξαφνικά …. ήρθε το update της εφαρμογής. Αποτέλεσμα: τραγικό. Από εκεί που είχαμε όλο νίκες, ξαφνικά με το ζόρι παίρνουμε Χ από ομάδες με κατάταξη 250+. Αυτά δεν είναι σοβαρά πράγματα, να πρέπει κάθε φορά που βγαίνει καινούριο update της εφαρμογής, να πρέπει να αλλάζεις την τακτική σου και τον τρόπο που παίζεις. Αυτό πρέπει να το ρυθμίσουν εκεί στην SI…

Και αυτό, γιατί έχουμε έναν από τους καλύτερους παίχτες ως τώρα στην ομάδα μας! Η Καλλιθέα του Τάσου, είναι στις καλύτερες ομάδες!

Αυτό το feature είναι πολύ ενδιαφέρον και αν υιοθετηθεί και για το κανονικό game, θα προσδώσει ένα νέο επίπεδο ανταγωνισμού στους (ήδη καμμένους πιστέψτε με) συμμετέχοντες!

Άλλα σημαντικά χαρακτηριστικά που προστέθηκαν με την νέα version που λάβαμε αυτόματα μέσω του autoupdater χτες, είναι ο wizard για δημιουργία φιλικών τουρνουά (τα οποία είναι πολύ σημαντικά στο FML), το tab με τα Past meetings και ο emoticon selector! Πλέον δεν θα αναρωτιέμαι πώς βάζουν αυτά τα σχεδιάκια στα κειμένα τους οι καμμένοι !!!

Federations: the season is underway
Welcome to FML Game World #2 – To Madeira! We hope you’ve all settled into the new world and got used to the new rules. Well, the settling period is over and the first season of federation fixtures have started.

Basically, a federation is a sort of Football Association (FA), and by joining one you will be entered into official FML leagues, cups and other tournaments. Currently there are six to choose from: Casual FA, Daytime FA, Night-time FA, Weekend FA, Extreme FA or the Moonlight FA.

Each has its own rules and playing times, and the name of the FA is normally a very good pointer as to what you can expect.

Who’s started the new World in style?
So, the Game World is well underway, and the new financial and transfer restrictions have made it more competitive than ever before on FML. So who’s taken the new World by storm in its first week?

We begin with Beckton Wizards who, thanks to a water-tight defence, managed to claim the first ‘Team of the Week’ award – congratulations go to boss David Cummins along with an imaginary bottle of champagne!

This week’s other mentions go to Bostellee FC, San Antonio Pirates, Kallithea FC and Dream FC.

Past Meetings Tab
You can now view your past meetings with your opponent whilst in the ‘Match’ area by clicking the ‘Past meetings’ tab. It’s the ultimate in judge of your superiority over a given rival.

Create Competition – ‘Step By Step’
Creating a competition just got easier thanks to the new ‘Step By Step’ mode acting as a sort of ‘wizard’ tool, this should make setting up your own comps less daunting and more fun, why not try now?

Emoticon Selector
There is now no need to remember the code for all of the smileys on offer in the chat areas of FML. Simply click the new emoticon selector button and choose from all of the emoticons available.

Τύχη ή ικανότητα; Μάλλον το 2ο! Ο παίχτης αυτός είναι η ελπίδα που θα μας πάει ψηλά! Πέταξε ένα χαττρικ μέσα στην έδρα του 8ου στην παγκόσμια κατάταξη στο τελευταίο ματς, που ανάγκασε τον αντίπαλο κόουτς να υποκλιθεί στο μεγαλείο του Παναθηναϊκού! :P Καλά ξεκινήσαμε στον καινούριο Gameworld!


Πλέον (μετά τις 2 νίκες επί του 8ου μέσα έξω με 3-2 και 2-4) έχουμε το υψηλότερο ranking της ιστορίας μας στο FML και είμαστε πρώτοι στην εβδομαδιαία κατάταξη! Α, ρε μεγαλεία! Τον Τάσο βέβαια δεν τον φτάνουμε ακόμα, αλλά έρχεται και η σειρά του!

Με τα πολλά, τελικά καταλήξαμε ότι ο κόσμος μας δεν χρειάζεται άλλο ρισταρτ (προς το παρόν) και οι ομάδες άρχισαν να συγκροτούν σιγά σιγά τις νέες τους ομάδες. Τα πρωταθλήματα δεν έχουν συμπληρωθεί ακόμα και τα οικονομικά όλων είναι πολύ στενά, αλλά την παλεύουμε παίζοντας σε φιλικές διοργανώσεις και προσπαθώντας να βγάλουμε τίποτα ψιλά. Χαρακτηριστικό είναι βέβαια, ότι και μετά την τελευταία επανεκκίνηση υπήρξε πολύς κόσμος (Αγγλάκια κυρίως) που γκρινιάζει και μέσα στο παιχνίδι και στα beta testers’ forums, κυρίως γιατί δεν κατάφεραν να πάρουν τους παίχτες που θέλανε. Βέβαια οι πραγματικά καλοί παίχτες είναι ακόμα εκεί, αφού είναι απλησίαστοι για όλους μας. Για αυτό, ευθύνεται το “aquisition fee”, ένας όρος που εισήχθη με τον καινούριο Gameworld και είναι το ποσό που χρειάζεται να πληρωθεί στον Gameworld, από τον πρώτο συμμετέχοντα που θα θελήσει να υπογράψει έναν παίχτη, για να τον ξεκλειδώσει στο παιχνίδι. Συνεπώς, οι καλύτεροι παίχτες είναι ακόμα ελεύθεροι – κλειδώμένοι (θα μου πείτε αυτοί οι 2 όροι είναι εκ των πραγμάτων αντιφατικοί και θα έχετε δίκιο) και θα τους αποκτήσουν αυτοί που θα τα πάνε καλά και θα βγάλουν τα πολλά λεφτά πρώτοι!

Another reset : The new new gameworld will be live tonight
You may have noticed that the Game World servers have been taken down and that you can’t log into FML. We apologise for this, but do plan to re-launch them at 6pm BST tonight.

We feel that due to some problems with the new acquisition fee system and some users restarted their squad excessively, that it is in the best interests of the beta test that a server reset is carried out.

We have addressed these issues, and more, but just need to take a little time to ensure everything is in order before we open the ‘gates’ again.

With the Game Worlds being at such an early stage, we felt it best to act quickly to avoid users getting too attached to their squad.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience, but hope you understand our reasons and look forward to welcoming you back to FML very soon to continue beta testing.

Κάποιος στην SI έχει πολύ humor και ταλέντο στο να δίνει ονόματα! Από σήμερα ξεκίνησε η νέα πραγματικότητα, κοινώς η 2η φάση του beta testing και τα πράγματα με μια πρώτη ματιά φαίνονται πολύ πιο στριφνά όσον αφορά τα οικονομικά των ομάδων. Κανείς δεν έχει χρήματα να υπογράψει τα πραγματικά μεγάλα ονόματα και όλοι περιμένουν να αρχίσουν οι διοργανώσεις για να αρχίσει να ρέει και το χρήμα!

The new gameworld is now LIVE!!
In order to get the best pick of talent for your team, we highly recommend logging into FML and picking your squad right now, as the top players are likely to be snapped up fairly quickly.

When you download the latest client, you will need to Sign up again. Sadly, your shortlist, contacts, tactics and other personal data is gone (although the sharp managers will have exported these already!)

As we mentioned earlier we have split the initial gameworld into two, there are now two smaller 500 player gameworlds. We have allocated you into Gameworld #2 To Madeira. We’re continuing to test the game and its various elements, this reworking of the gameworld will allow us to carry these out and test how a smaller gameworld works.

We’re not forgetting the great work you all did in the last world, of which we really appreciate.

Η Παναθηναϊκάρα μου, τερμάτισε στην θέση 32 / 1000+ . Όχι και άσχημα. Βέβαια τις τελευταίες μέρες το παιχνίδι είχε γίνει ένα μπάχαλο, με εξωφρενικά ποσά να δίνονται για μεταγραφές και μισθούς και παίχτες να τα παρατάνε.

Κρίμα, πάνω που άρχιζε να ανεβαίνει η ομάς και είχαμε μαζέψει αρκετά νέα ταλεντα! Τέλος πάντων, για το καλό του beta testing θα το ανεχθούμε και αυτό! Φήμες ότι το τέλος του κόσμου ήρθε γιατί ο Τάσος (δες προηγούμενο ποστ) έχασε στον τελικό του Champions League, ελέγχονται ως ανακριβείς!



IMPORTANT! Your gameworld is being reset
On Monday 1st October the current beta gameworld is going to be reset and it will then be split into two gameworlds of 500.

There are a number of reasons behind this decision

Bug and exploitation fixes
Since the start of the beta we’ve fixed many bugs and closed a number of loopholes and exploits. These have obviously had a major effect on the GW.

Financial changes
We’ve made so many important financial changes recently and we need to focus on how successful they would be in the finished game. The only way we can safely do this is to reset.

Splitting into two worlds of 500
Our recent survey told us that many of you do not have a chance to buy players that you recognise. The reset to smaller worlds is going to test if you’re able to buy more recognisable players.

We know some of you will be sad to see the end of the current world, but we’ve also had many requests to reset from the forums. Think of this as a new challenge to your obviously immense managerial skills!
