Every year, during May, in almost every town and province of the Philippines, there is a Santa Cruzan. It is a parade commemorating <i>Reyna Elena</i>'s pilgrimage in finding the crucifix. She was accompanied by several other <i>reynas</i> including Mary Magdalene. This year, my niece was chosen to be the <i>Reyna</i> <i>Elena</i> with my son as <i>Constantine</i>. She is wearing a dress with sweetheart neckline adorned with floral appliques. The bow on the hip is accessorized with a brooch.
