Meet this sweetheart! She slept the ENTIRE time :) She was a sweet baby for me and my big ole camera in her face. Her mom was awesome with her. I love seeing a hard working/ proud mommy in action! Im just glad she shared her with me <3

Greetings Friends,

I haven't blogged in forever! As much as I love my new site, I hardly have the time to keep it up! I just wanted to share a little bit more of what I've been working on this summer. I have added tons of new props & backdrops and attended a few trainings/workshops. Because I have invested so much into my photography business, you will see a small increase in prices starting Aug. 2012. I will still be offering great service & creativity and hopefully a little more :)

Summer break brings so many new ventures my way! While I look forward to the break from my teaching job. I am often very busy with my photography. I haven't blogged in months..please forgive me. I am working on expanding and driving my photography into a new direction. I am hoping to specialized in newborns & children! They are my absolute favorite thing to do. Not sure if it's the mother in me or the school teacher..none the less, this is really what I love doing!! Take a look at some of my recent babies that paid me a visit:)

What an exciting weekend! Saturday was our long awaited photo shoot. My friend Bridget from Totally TuTuLicious and I did a promotional contest online (FB). The winners of the contest won a custom Tutu & a mini photo shoot "She's a RocK STaR". These young ladies were the cutest & sweetest little things ever!!!!! There moms...and dad were also kinda awesome! You should see the behind the scenes footage of the moms rocking it out :) I can't thank them enough for supporting us and this contest. This allowed Bridget & I to get a more exposure, and we are thankful. We met up with our families Saturday morning at The Cupcakery of Elizabeth City, my friend Heather had treats waiting for us. And then we were off for our shoot.

Needless to say, nap time & illness tried to stop our shoot! But these little ladies were troopers, and I think the finish product turned out PERFECT! There were a few bloopers, blunders, run away babies, tears & even a little throwing up! But we made it and I think(I hope) everyone had FUN:)

How in the world did this sexy young lady miss the blog?! IDK.....but here goes! This young lady contacted me about doing a session to build her portfolio. A bit nervous at first, I said "sure why not".

Normally, I leave all the high fashion/ top model shoots to my good friend Tishima! She is a master mind at that stuff. She sets it up, wardrobe, hair, make-up, etc... I simply show up and get in shoot mode. The original plan was for the two of us to get together with a few girls from her upcoming hair show (http://www.rootsandgarmentsshow.com ) and get some shots done for her models to build their portfolios. Well, I over booked myself and that didn't go as planned. Luckily, she is understanding and I know we will get together REAL soon :)

Being the pleasant an understanding person that she was, Ms. Chanta understood and re-scheduled with me! She was a joy to work with, standing well over 6ft. tall, and a natural beauty, my camera LOVED her. Below you will see a small sample from our session. Today was so beautiful! The weather was perfect to hang out with these cuties! 9 yr. old Justin recently became a BIG brother as his family welcomed sweet Jordan. He was soooo fat & juicy, I love them that way :)

Thanks to one of my past clients, I received a referral to work with another awesome family. You know what they say about word of mouth...:) This family was so much fun to work with. Mom shared that they were long overdue for some family pictures & I couldn't have been more happy to help them out! You rarely witness a teenage brother & sister team that are as close as these two <3

I really enjoyed their laughter and closeness!!

I am too excited to share this little diva with you all! Please take a peek at my God-Daughter Casey Nicole <3 Ms. Casey turned 4 yesterday, Feb. 22. While she is still recovering from her recent tonsillectomy, she really RocKed her photo-shoot. I love it when her mom takes her hair out.

From what I understand, it's A LOT of work. Casey came into this shoot with her own set of demands.

1st she needed her custom made Tutu :)

2nd we had to make a trip to Sonic's for her favorite treat, mozzarella sticks!
