This month we are debuting our new Boudoir Photography. I love this type of session because is gives the women an opportunity to display her sexy side. We all have a little vixen down deep. Now, I'm not posting too many images because I feel it is too be shared only with the subjects significant other. I really want to keep it personal. But I got my model friends in the other day to get just a few to show. The images from your or your wife to be's photo shoot can be compiled into a coffee table book to be used as honeymoon gift.

These are just a few of the images from the Jennifer and Henry's wedding. They got married at Meadowlark Gardens in Vienna, VA. It was such a beautiful day. They had friends and family in from all over the world. I met a great couple from Spain with whom I plan to visit :-) when I travel the world. I couldn't help but attempt to speak french with another couple. They were kind enough to entertain me. I had such a great time.

Time to share some of my favorite images from my wedding day. It was really weird being on this end of a wedding. So many details so many decisions to be made. Since I've been to so many weddings everyone thought that I would know exactly what I wanted. Not true. I had an idea, but when my ideas met my wallet my ideas had to change.

Dream Wedding: Fly all willing family and friends to the Ulusaba resort in South Africa. Have a 3-4 day celebration which included a Safari for me and my guest and 5 star spa treatments for my girls. Good food, great atmosphere and great company. The ceremony would be at this ultra exotic location, with the african sun on my shoulders and Giraffe walking in the background.

However, I'm not making that type of money yet! So Huntsville it was, and we picked Bridge Street so that our guest would have no problem finding something to do. I hired Tinesha Mack from Embellish Events to help me visualize what I could do and she helped me bring it all together. From the finding the dress to coordinating my tablecloths to designing our guest bags. She was on it!

My photographers were Derrel Todd from Footprint Fotos in Washington, DC and Neville Simpson from N'sight Photography here in Huntsville. They were great. I work/worked with them both and have nothing but admiration and respect for them and their work.

Ohh go ahead and yell at me, I deserve it. The last time I posted I promised to keep up with it. I promised to keep you informed with what True Moment Images has been up to and share some cute pics of my baby boy. Well... in true procrastinator style - i did not. Now my pumpkin has turned 1 yes he is a whole 1 year old and I'm just now getting back to writing.

Needless to say, so much has been going on and for that my focus on business has suffered. For that I apologize. I have spent the last 8 months planning my own wedding and watching my 5 pound baby become a 20lb toddler. Yes I have been shooting weddings here and there but I'm still not working to my full potential.

Therefore to get myself on track again, I'm looking to employ some help. I'm in the process of finding a graphic artist to help offload some of my tasks b/c I cannot do it all and give my customers the level of service that they deserve. I need someone to understands the TMI style and that I can utilize frequently for album and print designs and marketing.

If you know of anyone - please send them my way!!!

In the meantime, as I institute some new structure, marketing and style to my business I will keep sharing with you as I grow. It's time to walk in purpose. I am going to "press toward the mark". I love photography and I look forward to sharing it with you.

June 4, 2008 at 6:51 in the morning my angel - Joshua Carter Dennis arrived. He was 5 lbs 0 oz and 17 inches long and the most beautiful baby I've seen (No bias there). Since then I can hardly pull myself away from him. I just stare at each little feature. His little fingers and toes, his beautiful eyes and funny faces. I'm so in love.

I admit I started complaining about every little thing during what I know now was the last few days of my pregnancy. I was tired and anxious and the hardest part is not knowing when he would arrive. I couldn't wait to meet him and with my swollen face and feet my body was ready to get back to normal. So I kept hoping that every little movement was the onset of labor. I kept hoping he would come early and he did. He arrived in time to greet all my girlfriends for his baby shower. His timing couldn't have been better and with his small stature I thank God daily that all was well with him. He's my miracle. It's surreal. I'm someone's mother. A new chapter to my life has begun. WOW.

I had the AWESOME pleasure of capturing the vow renewal ceremony of Arthur and Shirley Reed this weekend in Tuscaloosa, AL. As those of you who have met me know - I love weddings, I love capturing them. There is nothing more exciting than to celebrate with those who have a love that truly has withstood the test of time. Marriage is a lifetime commitment. Statistics would say differently, but when couples say I do that is what they are signing up for.

As they renewed their vows I kept wondering about what they've been through. I've learned that although relationships look great from the outside, you never know what's going on on the inside. But that's not a bad thing. Most of the trials and tribulations a couple goes through will help weave their lives together, assisting the two in become one. But throughout the ups and downs (and I'm sure they have had a bit of both over 25 years) they said to each other, I would do it all over again with you.

My parents are on the eve of their 40th year anniversary and I really think they are happier now than ever. I can see they have truly hit their stride. They compliment each other well and sometimes do and say the exact same thing the other would have done or said. All though they maintain their individuality, their friendship and oneness is quite apparent. That's my goal. That's what I consider to be happily ever after.

Each wedding I shoot shapes my idea of love and I was really encouraged to see a love that has overcome the worlds obstacles. I wish the same for all my couples. That they will have a marriage that makes the bad days not seem so bad and the good days great. I wish for them a love that just gets better with time.

To Arthur and Shirley, I commend you and wish for you another 25 wonderful years!

It's a BOY!!!!

I went in to get my 20 week ultra sound on Friday and I got the great news. I'm so excited! First of all my baby is healthy, all of his internal organs are developing as they should and second - it's a boy! True, I would have been happy either way but coming from a family of girls, there is just something about having a boy. I have to say that seeing my precious little developing bundle of joy grants perspective on many of the everyday complaints. Giving birth is one of God's great miracles that we often take for granted. So many things have to "go right" to first of all get pregnant and then to give birth to a healthy perfect child. It truly is a blessing.

I have been procrastinating in updating this site. I know, I know the whole point of it is to keep you up to date with what True Moment Images is doing. Well we are still alive and kicking and I'm tying up some loose ends that I neglected due to the holidays. I'm in the process of updating the site with some great new images and some recent engagements and weddings and updating the links with our new logo. We've gotten a bunch of great feedback from the new site so I am really pleased. I also plan on posting some of the slideshows we have recently completed for our clients.

I also have another reason for not sharing earlier. I've been in denial. :-) I'm expecting my first child. I'm due in late June. I know it's such a blessing but sometimes life catches you completely off guard. However, I am soooooo excited. I am about 5 months now and I am feeling all kinds of kicks and somersaults it's really amazing. Now I have to find someone to take MY pictures!!!

So unfortunately, I won't be booking any weddings between Memorial Day and the first of August. I plan however to be back up and running as soon as I can. I know June and July are prime wedding dates and I'm going to really miss my peak season. However if your date is in the fall or winter I will be greatfully at your service.

Well I promise that I will be more diligent in keeping you up on the latest and greatest on my progress and business. Feel free to drop me a line and check in.
