New True North 34G hybrid

Pearson Marine Group announces the arrival of the diesel-electric hybrid-powered 34G.

The 34G can run for over four hours at up to 6 knots exclusively off an electric motor with the only sound coming from the calming ripples swirling through the wake.

In addition to the innovative Steyr Hybrid Drive System, the TN34 boasts many environmental and performance innovations such as:

- Hideaway transom door
- LED Lighting (interior, courtesy, navigation and engine room)
- Solar Panels (charge its multiple battery banks and further reduce shorepower recharging)
- Weight reduction with a net 500-pound decrease in weight from the original True North
(switching to carbon fiber canopy, changing to smaller and more efficient batteries, selection of the Steyr engine)

Boston Volvo Ocean Race Stopover

True North had the pleasure of hosting PUMA’s guests throughout the Boston stopover of this race on six of our stunning and well fit True North 34’s and 38’s.

With up to 15 people onboard each boat there was no shortage of fun. The only fleet on the water aside from our fleet of True North’s to attract as much attention was the fleet of 70 footers on their way to Ireland.

Throughout the two week stay in Boston’s Rowe’s Wharf the unmistakable PUMA graphics and graceful True North lines attracted the attention of crowds and spectators.

True North in France!

Last August, True North 38-117 was sent to northern France in time for the La Rochelle Boat Show.
