Welcome 2015!

2015-02-02T18:44:00.001-05:00

Hey everyone! :)

Not too much going on!

We sadly sold Lily, the pony we bought last year. She had a bit too much of an attitude for what we needed. She has gone to a great home and I wish her the best!

For this year, I will be spending my spring working with our new girl Delilah. She is a bit shy so it is taking a while to earn her trust. But we are coming along nicely! I am hoping that she will be ready to use this year! I don't want to push her so I don't have a specific guideline. But what's most important is her safety and the children's safety.

Once she understands what's expected of her, we might bring her to a few parties just to get a taste of what she will encounter every day and let the kids love on her! :) Here she is! What a cutie!

Other than that the only real news is that I still have not raised prices! These rates have been good since I think 2010!!! Thank you for all of your support! We love our clients!!

Liz!!!

PS...We are starting to fill up for 2015 so get a move on! :)

Busy Summer!! :)

2014-09-09T21:30:00.001-04:00

Hi y'all!!!

Just a quick update! Not too much is new with us. Just lots of parties! Including one with this cutie...

An how about this little girl. Her grandmother made this. She LOVES Vinnie! We are so lucky to have all of our clients!!! They are THE BEST!!!

The only really big news is that we are FINALLY starting the process of having our own "farm". Vinnie and Mariah (my retired horse) are currently living with my mother in law (GRANDMA!)!! They absolutely love it there!! If you take a look at our facebook page (www.facebook.com/trueventurefarm) or my facebook page (www.facebook.com/liz.ghent) you can see pictures and videos!

There's not riding ring yet or anything like that. But it's one step closer to me living my dream. I would give anything for my own piece of land and to be able to wake up every day and look out to see my horses! :) It's happening though!! Dream big I say!!!

Hope all is well out there in internet land!! Love you all so much!!! MUAH!!!

Hugs and kisses!

Liz and the rest of the crew!!!

The areas we serve!

2014-04-15T18:51:00.000-04:00

Tonight got me thinking...I wish I could draw a radius of the area that we service! So I searched and I found a site that will do it!

The map below gives you the general idea of where we will travel. We try and keep our travel area to under 60 miles or under an hour in the trailer for the horses/ponies. Traveling is stressful and although I could charge an arm and a leg to drive 200 miles to your party, my horses safety comes first.

Standing in a trailer for a long period of time, and then walking around and around can take its toll. I know it seems like they aren't working hard, but believe me, my horses/ponies are working every minute that we are at your event!

Having to "behave" and keep alert is hard work! :) But they love it and so do we!!!

Hope all is well! Thanks again for your business and most importantly, your friendship to us!

Liz

I had to share this picture!

2013-12-01T18:13:00.004-05:00

Vinnie made a new friend! :)

And believe it or not...this isn't our last party! :) Thank goodness for good weather in December!

Have a great day! Take care!!!

Santa Parade!

2013-11-24T21:02:00.000-05:00

Hello there! Hope you are all keeping warm!!!

Yesterday was the Scranton Santa Parade. We had a BLAST!!! It was a little chilly but it was soooo worth it! Every time we drove by I heard "A HORSIE!" It was so cute! Warmed our hearts! If you saw us, please post pictures! Or if you have ANY pictures from our events please sent them to trueventurefarm@gmail.com

Other than that, not much new! Dreaming big of one day having a facility to do pony parties at our own site. I am thinking a playground, bouncehouses, tables for food. All kinds of great ideas! What would you like to see if you came for a pony party? Feel free to share ideas!!!

Keep warm and don't forget to keep your animals safe and warm this time of year!

Happy Thanksgiving in a few day!!!

BRRRRRRR!!!

2013-02-02T15:32:00.000-05:00

Good day everyone! :)

We have new T-shirts!!! Sooooooo exciting! I can't wait to wear them this summer! If anyone would like to purchase one please let me know!!

It's been a cold winter so far. In the horse world that is good and bad. Good because it'll help kill a lot of bugs! Last year the flies were horrible! But of course it's hard to keep the horses in shape and I really want to ride!!!

We have a few parties booked for this year already. Here's a few tips to making sure you get your party in with us!

#1 Plan ahead, even if you don't have the exact date, give me a call! If I don't have a party booked that day I will pencil you in. If I get another call for that date I will let you know and if you want to book it, we can get together. I will allow up to 48 hours to hear back and then I will have to give that date away. A deposit secures that date but I don't mind holding dates, especially if I haven't gotten a request for that day!

#2 I try my best to do last minute parties. The stress comes from making sure I have someone that can work with me. I will NEVER do a party alone. It's not safe for anyone involved. My husband works two jobs, my nephew is a typical 20 something year old and he makes plans, and other people might not be available at the drop of a hat. I will do all I can but I ask that you bear with me if I only have a few days!

#3 Parties during the week. Until we have our own farm, I need to have a "real" job. I work 8-5 Monday through Friday. It takes at least 2 hours to leave work, get the horses ready, and be at a party. Evening parties just don't work out well. It's not that I don't want you business, I just can't afford to take the time off. One day, I will be able to do parties 7 days a week!

Please feel free to ask any questions!

One of the best parts of my job is meeting all of you wonderful people. The one thing that some people don't realize until they meet me is how important it is to meet the person doing the pony parties BEFORE the party. It doesn't always work out...last minute bookings...parties that are really far...schedule conflicts...etc. But I really do try and meet you beforehand!

Think of it this way...I am coming to YOUR HOME...to do something DANGEROUS (please don't let that word throw you off, it is a fact that riding a horse could be dangerous)...with your CHILDREN...don't you think you should meet me first? I want you to trust me and the only way I can do that is work all the details out beforehand. I want a safe party. I want a happy party! Feel free to book a party with any other pony party business...just please make sure you feel comfortable before the party starts!

I love what we do and I can't wait to spend 2013 getting to know some really great parents and some REALLY great kids!!!

Don't they look great!!!

This is the back but we ended up going with white writing since it showed up better! Hope you enjoy them!!!

Much love!!

Liz

2013-01-01T10:09:00.002-05:00

HAPPY 2013!!!

2013-01-01T10:04:00.000-05:00

Not much going on. Getting ready to order new shirts for the new year! I think you guys will love them!

Hoping to book 50 parties this year! So far we have 7 booked!

Spread the word...I am giving away a $50 gas card if I can get up to 500 "likes" on our facebook page by midnight tonight!!! www.facebook.com/trueventurefarm or click on the facebook link on the right side of this page.

Hoping you all have a wonderful 2013!!! Much love!

All of us! :)

Ok I'm out! :)

Liz

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

2012-11-17T11:41:00.002-05:00

First off, since this week kicks off the start to the holiday season, I wanted to mention that we now offer gift certificates in any amount! This would make a great Christmas present! :)

Ok so now onto what I am thankful for!

For this business, we would not be where we are today without our horses! Vinnie has been there from the beginning. He is my rock, my baby, and the best horse in the whole world! He amazes me every time I see him! Then there is George. We bought George because I fell in love with him the moment I met him! He was ultimately too small to use for what we needed, but I still see him when I am at the barn. He warms your heart and even gives kisses when you're feeling down!!! Bella! I bought her knowing she would be perfect for what we needed. I didn't, however, know how much I would love her! She is smart, spunky, and a joy to be around! Finally, Mariah! Mariah will be premiered next year for our pony parties! She is a bit smaller than Vinnie but would still be able to be ridden by adults and children. She is honest, sweet, and full of energy!

Here she is! :)

This is Linda, Mariah, and me.

She is going to be an awesome addition, and did you notice...she has blue eyes!!!

Our last party (so far) for the season is tomorrow. Can't wait because it's a total surprise to the birthday girl! :) Those are always fun!

Here is some news on specials we are having...

***Sale for December and January! $150 for parties within 15 miles of the farm! Use this code when booking: YEAREND. $50 deposit required! Call me! 570-407-0622! Not sure how long I will hold the sale so act quick!

Remember, just because its cold doesn't mean you shouldn't party! As long as the children have a place to warm up, they will love having a pony party!***

***SALE!!! 10% off bookings for 2013! Offer expires 12/31/12 @ 11:59pm! Call, email, text, or Facebook message me!!! Prices will most likely increase as of January first so get the savings now!!! *$50 deposit required and must be received before offer expires.***Date does not have to be set in stone***

2013 is fast approaching! We already have 6 parties booked and it's not even January! I never could have imagined how much fun and how successful this venture would be! I am beyond thankful to the people that invited us to their home or party site! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Christmas pictures 2013 are going to be taken soon! :) Can't wait! Look out for them!

Take care and be well! Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Liz and everyone at True Venture Farm!

October...Whoa!!!

2012-10-16T20:47:00.002-04:00

This month is booked solid! It's great! I just can't believe how awesome this year has gotten! I wish all months could be like this, and you know what, I bet they could be!!! :)

Over the weekend we did a great party and I was thanked for my professionalism and how well I treated the children. It got me thinking, do people really know what they are getting when they book other companies? I am not knocking anyone since I don't know how they run their show but I do know what I do for my company and my clients.

I strive to bring the farm to the city. I want to make every child I come in contact with smile. I want the parents to remember that joy until their child has their own children. :)

Here's to another year gone and another one coming around the corner!

I am offering a special...book a 2013 party by 12/31/12 @ 11:5pm and receive 10% off!! ($50 deposit required)!!

Don't forget to "like" our facebook page!!! www.facebook.com/trueventurefarm

Take care!!!
Liz and the rest of the gang!!! :)

2012-04-24T21:14:00.000-04:00

So it's official! Bella came home last weekend! We worked all week to get to know each other as best we could and she had her first party on Sunday! She...was...WONDERFUL!!!

We could not be more thrilled with how she behaved!

Plus the kids were just great and the rain didn't stop us!! :)

Take care everyone! :)

Liz, Chris, Vinnie, and Bella! :)

PS George has moved on to a new home but he is still at our farm and I couldn't be happier with his new mom! :)

2012-04-08T08:05:00.000-04:00

Went and looked at a new pony yesterday! Her name is Bella...she's 18...11.3 hands...bay...and sweet! She has a great personality! It's looking pretty good! :)

New Trailer

2012-03-15T18:17:00.000-04:00

So this is our new trailer! We are really rockin and rollin now! :) Our old trailer is for sale if anyone is interested!! :)

2 Parties this weekend! Woohoo!! Can't wait! George and Vinnie are ready!

Hope all is well with you folks! :)

Much love! MAUH!

Something funny! :)

2012-02-11T20:34:00.000-05:00

Going through old pictures I found this one. I don't remember the guys name but he had a blast! He was like a kid in a candy store! He had never ridden a horse before and he had to ask about a million questions! It was so cute! Nice guy too! His lady friend was so proud! Sorry that I'm using your picture without your permission, if anyone knows who this is, I'll take it down if you want!!!

So this just goes to show you that even the biggest "kids" love riding horses! There's something about them that just draws you in!

I hurt my back a last Sunday and I'm finally almost 100% better! No more meds and I can finally walk! I'm just glad this didn't happen in the summer! Cross your fingers it doesn't happen again!

Hope you're all staying warm!

Well wishes to all!

Love all of us! <3

I found a new site to advertise on! So far I'm loving everything about it! Check it out and for all my fellow business people...might be a good idea to put yourself on here! So many options and ways to add information! I thought the questions they ask are really helpful! You pick which ones you want to answer (some might not apply to your business) and you can give your customers even just one more reason to pick you! Very smart! Check out my answers!!!
