I love dumb criminal stories, but you know what’s even better? Dumb criminals caught on film!

This video is one of my favorites. A guy who’s been drinking decides to break into a liquor store - through the roof! A comedy of mishaps happen and it’s all caught on the stores surveillance cameras. here, take a peek:

Tortoise addicted to nicotine

Last March the China’s Xinhua news agency reported that a farmer in Jilin province had been found with a tortoise that is addicted to nicotine. How they know it’s addicted I don’t know …

The farmer is a smoker and he said that he was surprised that the tortoise puffed on the smoke that he stuck in it’s mouth one day as a joke. Since that time the farmer occasionally shares a smoke with the tortoise.

I doubt the tortoise is enjoying the smoke.

The car tractor

Now this is one odd looking contraption:

It appears to be a custom made car tractor. Perhaps the inventor plans to use it to dig earth or push snow around in the winter? I’m not sure how well it would hold up, but it’s definitely interesting!

Stupid flies live longer

With most species you’d think that the smarter of the bunch would live longer but that’s not the case with flies apparently.

Evolution scientists at the University of Lausanne in Switzerland published a report that states that over the course of 30 to 40 generations, ordinary house flies tend to live a lot longer if their stupid. One guess as to their longevity is that heightened neural activity likely overtaxed the systems of the smarter flies causing them to die earlier than their dumber less stressed counterparts.

Hmmm I wonder how much money in tax dollars was spent on that project?

A real life My Little Pony

I think these people are taking the “my little pony” stuff too far … this certainly looks a lot like one of those toys that came out in the 80’s doesn’t it?

I’ll bet someone hired the pony for a kids birthday.

New car buyers want gun instead of free gas

In May, as gas prices were beginning to climb higher and higher a car dealer at Max Motors in Butler, Mo, announced an optional premium giveaway for every new car purchased.

The vehicle purchaser could choose from either $250 worth of free gasoline or a gift certificate for a handgun.

When interviewed by Kansas city TV station, KMBC-TV, Walter Moore stated that approximately 80% of his customers opted for the gun.

Odd. I would have chosen the gas!

What would you have picked the gift certificate for the handgun or could you have used the gasoline?

With all the wet weather in the North Eastern parts of Canada and the US this summer there’s probably a lot of flooded houses that will soon be on the market.

Bad luck at the dentist proves fatal second time round

It’s not surprising that Anne Greer filed a lawsuit against a Winter Park, FLA dentist, Wesley Meyers, over the death of her father last year during procedures to secure his dentures with implants.

You might wonder how one dies at the dentist office … well … In October, 2006, Meyers accidentally dropped a screwdriver down the patients throat. The man, Greer’s father, required a colonoscopy to remove the tool.

The next year the man returned to the same dentist, giving him a second chance to complete the procedure. This was against the daughters wishes BTW. During the course of that procedure, the dentist accidentally dropped a torque wrench down the patients throat, creating serious problems almost immediately that proved fatal.

It’s no wonder so many people don’t like going to the dentist!
