the perfect day

It's been while.. its not that I don't have anything to say, its the fact of being way too busy and there not being enough minutes in the day to do everything that needs to be done. Unfortunately blogger has been lower on my priority list.

So lets catch up!

My baby girl turned 5 last week. I have been insanely busy with custom orders. I have been making some new photog friends and doing some fun trades. I am so close to having a new logo and then will be working on branding. AND today was the most perfect Mother's Day!

Lets run through my day...

1. I didn't wake up until 8am
2. I woke up to two sweet little voices wishing me a happy mother's day.
3. I didn't have to make breakfast, I was SERVED it.
4. I didn't have to change ONE poopy diaper.
5. BOTH kids took a nap.
6. Played in the sand at the beach.
7. Didn't have to make dinner, but ate a delicious one.
8. Had ice cream for dessert.
9. My hubby is cleaning out my car as I type this:)
10. I finally got a picture of me and the kiddos!
11. Spent the entire day with the three most important people of my life, xoxoxoxo!

I have been getting A LOT accomplished this week. So far, I have organized all my yarn/craft stuff (I don't have a special room, now instead of piling it where ever I can fit it, I actually have a shelf in my bedroom, how convenient!)

I've created a new logo (let me know what you think!)

I've had some help from some great fans on how to use my DSLR camera a little better and they have shared some great information (practically were my online manuals!) xoxo!

But one of my favorites is from Jaime who shared how to turn a t-shirt into YARN! HOW AWESOME is that?!?!? I don't know about you but my husband has about a BILLION t-shirt and I'm almost positive he will never know I stole a few:) I hope he doesn't miss his old superman tee, because that is the one I decided to cut up!

I have also been working on a large order for a Jennifer, an awesome photog in Indy. I love it that she gave me some ideas on what she wanted, but wasn't specific as far a color and pretty much gave me free reign to be creative (woot woot!) I can't wait to see some pictures she takes with them!

my week on

So, I am lucky enough to work for two amazing people that take annual vacations.. which means I automatically get time off! I love this since I do not regulary schedule vacation time:) BUT for some reason.. my time "off" is actually turning out to be my time to catch up on everything that usually is neglected. I am catching up on some much needed crocheting, of course, but we are organizing, going through, getting rid of, deep cleaning, etc, our entire house this week too. Of course I am getting in all of our appointments this week along with scheduling some "fun" spring break things for the kids to do. I think I may need a vacation after this much needed vacation! Here is a recent family picture I took with my timer on my dslr, it turned out pretty good AND I am actually in it!

some ALMOST springtime fun!

So this week, I worked four days at my "day job".. keep in mind I usually work two and

sometimes three, thus, I can keep up with my kiddos, crocheting, housework, etc. My week

has been pretty busy and I have been exhausted BUT today the sun was shining ALL DAY

long. Yes, I saw this from inside my office. I had a hard time keeping my mind on work

today because all I could think about was what I was going to do AFTER work:) So as soon

as I got off I decided I was picking up my kids, pizza for dinner, the hubby and heading to

the park from some fun! It looked much warmer from inside my office...so the park was

pretty chilly... but as you can see, it really didn't matter. I LOVE going to the park with my

family, its feels even more special when we haven't been able to go at all in the past

ohhhh... 4 or 5 months or so. No matter how tired I am, a little sunshine and fresh air go

a loooong way! Enjoy the pictures!

So it has been about two weeks since my last post (shh...) BUT my life has been a little hectic, just like everyone elses I'm sure. We have had a "sick house" for the past two weeks. First me, then my little man, then my little girl... NOT my husband at all.. he is SO lucky!

I have also been crazy busy with my day job and custom crochet orders which I am ECSTATIC about, but it all seems to come at the BUSIEST time for me. Why does it have to work like that. My house is a disaster.. and we are attempting to put our house for sale in the spring which is an added stress. Meanwhile, I am trying to be the best mommy and wife I can be, but I feel a little lacking.

So as I am trying to get caught up on a Sunday night, I came across a blog post from Rita at The Coffee Shop Blog. It's titled "How I don't do it all and I'm ok with it." It was nice to know that I am just like every other mom who tries to do it all and doesn't most of the time. I think Rita said it perfectly, so I"m not going to repeat everything she says, I'll let you read it for yourself! Thank you Rita for helping me with my blog and giving me all your great ideas, actions, tutorials, etc.!

So now, I start my week with a new (much needed) outlook to do the best I can with the task at hand and I'm ok with not doing it all, all the time. Crochet wise.. a little bit of sunshine!

So the past few days here have been absolutely gorgeous (mid 40's) so we took advantage and went outside even though it was still a little chilly:) The kids have been anxiously waiting to ride on their tractor so that was what they did the majority of the time. Zander actually sat patiently as Tru was his driver, for those of you who have little boys, this was a big achievement for him! Tru also inspected her tree how and realized that some "tree peckers" as she calls them damaged her home and she thinks that Daddy should build her a new one:) Here are a few photos of our playtime.. I have been working my tail off to get all my orders done, here is a collage of what I've done so far! ps. please don't tell my husband about my little man modeling a girlie beanie:) He is still sooooo cute! I am trying to get as many finished as I can between working, kids and ATTEMPTING to fulfill my household chores:) I did decide to take the kiddos to Shedd Aquarium today! We are venturing to Chicago with my sister in law Ali and my two beautiful neices... pictures to come soon. It looks like we picked a perfect day.. high of 55! We decided this year we would celebrate Valentine's Day by baking some very yummy

heart-shaped cupcakes to share with our loved ones! We all had a blast.. you will see WHO

I want to start by welcoming you all to My Blog! I have been anxiously awaiting its completion and now it is virtually done! I do have a few more tweaks and modifications I am going to make and would LOVE your input on anything you think I need to make thing run more smoothly or be more helpful to you!

My next challenge is to get my Etsy Shop up and running, I do have it created but am working on all the details.
