Before you begin you're going to need a trumpet cleaning kit, which you could buy online or from any good musical instrument shop near you.

Here is a fairly good clip for how to clean your trumpet.

You won't necessarily need two large plastic tubs, a bath is just as good, particularly if you pop an old towel down on the bottom of the bath to avoid any damage to the trumpet/bath.  Access to running water (like a shower head) is also useful.

Reassembly is essentially disassembly in reverse.  However, take extra care when puting the valve pistons back in to their casings to have them in the right order.  They should be numbered 1-3 so make a mental note of this as you are taking them out at the beginning.  Also be sure to use a good amount of oil on each valve making sure they are well covered, more is preferable to less in this instance!  The opposite is true of putting the slides back in, when you are ready to do this make sure each slide only has a thin layer of slide grease on it.
