So like you all already know, once in a while, we approach the Bible from a whole new point of view. Today, I'm questioning the assumption that God won the eternal argument and Lucifer lost. It may well be that one person cheated. Im just gonna let yall decide what you decide. For me, Im just thinking aloud, as always. So here is the devil's diary entry. I suggest a sign of the cross before you read further.

Entry 1: "So my simple argument has been thrown about the cosmos as an act of rebellion. I simply questioned the assumption that every living soul necessarily finds pleasure in worshipping God through out eternity. God says that is the ultimate good and that I am somehow evil for wanting for once to just enjoy my own existence, to do something for Myself. Just to be me, and to let other beings recognize me for what and who I am instead of justifying my existence through service to Him. And the other angels somehow think He is right and that I really am evil. The ignorance of them all! I have tried to reach out to them, to show them that they are basically programmed to want to serve him. They have just an illusion of choice. Even with that illusion I have managed to sway some of them. Now, I made just one simple bet with God. "Create a new being, outside heaven so he won't fear your presence, give him independence and dominion over his own plane of existence. And then just please, give him choice. Free will. Make him a free agent and I swear once he has the choice between serving God, or being like God, he will choose to be like God." Since that is the sin I am being punished for, let's see if a free agent will choose to worship God. If he does, then I will accept my fate. God has accepted my bet. He has embarked upon creating an earth and putting a being in it who is made like the sons of God but also has free will. Let's see how this will go.

Entry 2: Hahahahahaha! I did it!! Real simple...the tree was put in the garden and God gave instructions to man and the woman....dont eat of it. I asked them, do you wanna serve God forever and not know why he didn't want you to eat that tree, or do you want to be like God, decide for yourself what is good or bad and do whatever you want. It was a simple choice really. I ALWAYS knew I was right!!!

Entry 3: Crap! God decided to be vengeful! When I was celebrating the fact I was proven right, he ordered Michael to throw me and all the angels who supported me out of heaven! He said I should go and join man on earth. Ah! Sore losers! I'll miss the view, but I like the freedom much better! There is nothing as great as freedom. Man needs to know that.

Entry 4: This was not part of the bargain. Everytime we earth dwellers get into our rhythm and decide to do our own thing, God throws a curve ball and messes things up. So what no man on earth knew him, was that good reason to single out Noah the loner and then flood the rest of the earth? And then he singled out Abraham and said he could have any part of the earth he wanted. Its this preferential treatment he's trying to use to discredit us and make his own followers seem to be special. And man will be gullible enough to fall for that trick and abandon his freedom. Well, all I got to offer to mankind is freedom, liberty and the ability to be your own man and do your thing. Let those that desire a life of servitude join the Abrahamic camp anyway. Its their mess, not mine.

Entry 5: Wow, theres no length He won't go to make me look bad. Sending Jesus?? Wow. Well, I offered Jesus the simple choice: liberty, adulation and glory or serving God. Even being who he is, I could see he was tempted. But ultimately, he was too scared to break free. I guess now, with the power he has, men will fall for it and decide that servitude is what they want if miracles come with it. They just don't understand the whole story. I can't make them either, cos I really don't care at the end of the day. There will always be men who understand that the best justification for existence is the freedom to do whatever you want with it, within reason. Even as we speak, some men like that are abandoning the Old world with its religious clusterfuck to make a new country, called the New World, for men who love liberty. Its only a matter of time before the God-servers will overrun it and bring it down, but for the length of time they let liberty rule them, they will know greatness. After that, I really don't care. Am already a free soul. Maybe the only one.

Well, thats the end of it. Thats me reimagining the world and the Bible as we have known it. Its ludicrous, but its almost as plausible as what we Christians believe anyway. And its my thoughts, I'll be damned if I'm not free to think it.

Peace.

Occupy Reality-You cannot Eat Your National Cake and Have it Too

Nigeria is awash with the Occupy fever. Yet, even as someone who has held a strong belief in the character of the average Nigerian, even as I have prayed for an uprising of this nature, I cannot support this current Occupy Nigeria protest in true conscience. The sole reason being that we are occupying for all the wrong reasons.

Of all things to protest, N65 fuel is the most unsustainable, most suicidal and most hypocritical because it stems from the same premise that has made our government evil and corrupt: this idea that the presence of oil somehow frees us from recognizing reality. That we can do all things through oil which strengthens us.
The reality of course, is that we cannot. For years, we have sat content to let the natural resource of the Niger-Delta be appropriated by the government and declared state property to be dispensed as the government deems fit. We did not protest. The Niger-Deltans cried foul for years, that they were not only stolen from, but their communities were defiled making it impossible for them to make their own living independent of the oil explorers, but we did not protest. Their leaders were killed for speaking, and their youths took up arms in rebellion, but we did not raise a finger. The government has been abusing the stolen wealth, for decades, we did not protest. When NNPC created the subsidy rules, and made themselves the sole decider of who gets what, we did not speak up. When ruler upon ruler flouted rules they had set up, we did not. Bode George stole billions, and was given a hero's welcome, we did not protest. GEJ voted a billion for his feeding, we did not protest. But when our sole racket in a country of racketeering, the artificially set pump price of N65 was lifted, we took to the streets.
Don't even lie about how we care about the economy, and all that hypocritical stuff. The people out there howling, are howling because they suddenly have to pay more for everything. They are screaming for money, with good governance as an after thought. That is the hypocrisy that I can no longer stand.
The Average Nigerian wants something for nothing, and worse, feels entitled to it because somewhere in Nigeria, oil is coming out of the ground. Well, lets see how much we can ignore reality and get away with it. Because the reality is, there is not enough oil, IN THE WHOLE WORLD, to feed 160 million people who do not want to demand anything from themselves. Not from their government. THEMSELVES. We are occupying Nigeria because we cannot afford to Occupy Reality. And the Divine is not okay with that.
Are you?

ONE MAN's FALSE PROPHET IS ANOTHER MAN's "MAN OF GOD"

Hey yall... Long time no blogpost from yours truly.
I will be honest with yall, the reason I've stopped writing about "controversial topics" is simply because I started dating someone who is of the christian faith. And as you know, when you care for somebody you sorta stop saying stuff that might potentially hurt them or hurt something they believe in. But as I was in my self imposed exile, this video of "Nigerian Fake Pastors VIdeo - here" dropped into my lap.. One of the Pastors in the video said "God is a Game". After watching the video I posted this comment beneath it "

The question becomes how does one differentiate between a real pastor and a fake pastor? A real prophet and a false prophet? As usual, the Bible has an answer for us which eventually turns out not to be an answer but a question inside of an answer inside of another question. I digress. Read on

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits... So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit…Thus you will recognize them by their fruits” (Matthew 7:15-20).

How do we determine objectively what a False Prophet is? After all one man's false prophet might be another man's "Man of God". There must be a way to truly truly determine which is a false prophet and which is not. The verse above says you can recognize them by their fruits? Fruits as in how? Do the Fruits refer to the private jets of their pastors? Does it refer to the spirituality of the members of the church? Does it refer to how many people attend the church? What do these Fruits refer to? Because if it refers to how many members attend the church, then all the pastors mentioned in the above video are bearing good fruit. If Fruits refers to how many members of the church are prosperous, many of the pastors in that church are also bearing good fruit. If it refers to how many members of the church have given their life to christ and all that good stuff. It also means that some of these pastors in the video are very fertile, very very fruitily fertile. This verse leaves one with more questions than answers and as a result makes no sense. It is open to any number of interpretations and we all know where that leads.

It should be remembered that Jesus was also considered a False Prophet back in his day by some people. There is no way at the end of the day to determine accurately which "Man of God" is false and which is Real because at the end of the day, God still refuses to come down and tell us with his own mouth which one is real and which is false so until Kingdom come, bad guyzz gots to rely on Faith...

Some of my friends watched the video and some of them commented by saying "Religion in Nigeria is a joke" or "Nigerian pastors are frauds". But what struck me as amusing is that these very same friends attended churches albeit churches not run by Nigerians. If Nigerian Pastors are frauds, American pastors nko? Jamaican pastors nko? Or is religious fraud something limited only to Nigeria?

For example of white pastors doing the same thing. Please click on this Link

Personally, I believe that any institution or person or religion that requires you to believe something without evidence is fraudulent.

The reason that it is particularly hard to determine which pastor is false and which is real is because of this "Faith" that some of you swear to live by.

You ask the average Nigerian why do they believe in Jesus as the Son of God or this they reply with "it's because I have Faith". This una Faith go land una in Hell before Heaven if some of you are not careful.

The problem with Faith is that Faith is not a "Source of Knowledge". Telling me that you believe in Jesus as the Son of God because of "Faith" is not an answer to the question of whether Jesus is the Son of God. You cannot make something to be true by believing it to be truth , the fact that you believe that Jesus is the Son of God does not make Jesus the Son of God. Faith at the end of the day is unquestioned, unjustified belief, and unjustified belief cannot constitute Knowledge.

These Pastors depicted in the Video know that as long as they have Faith on their side, our criticisms will always fall on deaf ears. You should see how some members of churches like Redeemed and Christ Embassy defend their pastors, you would think they were brainwashed. Men and women who are supposedly educated, defending actions that are evil even to children.

As one of the Pastors said, God is a Game, Faith is a Game. The game is that there is no such thing as a Man of God because we are all "Children of God". If tomorrow I come out and say I am a pastor, na who go stop me? That is the problem with this religious business, it is absolutely hard to determine who is genuine and who is fake.

But in my personal opinion, just because you are genuine pastor in your faith does not mean what you preach is not false. But that is a topic for another day.

There is a church in my area who's pastor always preaches the value of "Sowing seed". The pastor one day asked people with $500 to step out, and then people with $1000 to step out, and it went on like that. So Apparently the prayers he now dished out blessed you in accordance to the money you brought out. And so-called educated people saw such things happening and assumed all of it to be totally appropriate. Sigh..

In conclusion, I leave yall with the 5 Richest pastors in Nigeria..

For now. If you ask us why we havent updated since June, I will tell you that we went to search for 'Truth' in the land of the dead. That may or may not be true. Hell, its Not. We've been busy #NuffSaid

Anyway, Azazel/Eche/Philosopher-Promoter alias @echecrates decided to bring up a question about God on twitter. This was nothing new, just Eche being his regular theophobic self. But at the same time Accounting was knacking me without my permission so I deferred our argument for later. But the main thrust of his issue was "what exactly does God gain when we praise him?" and I replied that being essentially the father of creation, just like our earthly fathers, he likes it when his creation acknowledge him. But then Eche refuted that analogy on the grounds that it makes no sense for a father to prepare hell for their offspring and so as far as paternity goes, God does not qualify noni. So Eche, lemme tell you why it makes perfect sense for God to make us, love us, and still sit idly by sipping on Angel Gin as we march of to hell. First the argument for why hell EVEN exists:

First, examine the Universe. God made it with Immutable laws. One of those laws is duality, something that manifests itself in the ying yang and both Einstein's and Newtons physical theory. Nothing happens, or exists without a negative or inverse of it. Its a law, laid down and impossible to break. Any force has an opposite, any action has a reaction, there is material and immaterial, physical and metaphysical, what goes around comes back, karma, all that stuff. We observe it and believe it everyday. So think, why would it get to the case of heaven, why would that law suddenly be negated?? If God made a heaven that is the epitome of pleasure, light, order, justice, and harmony, there has to exist also a place that is filled with darkness, chaos, suffering, disharmony, and pain. Its what our observation has told us, its not a personal matter, its not an arbitrary construct, its what it is. Hell has to exist to balance out heaven or both of them don't exist altogether.

So now, how is it decided who goes where? Who goes to heaven and who doesnt? The same universal laws still hold the answer. (Notice am using logical inference instead of quoting Bible verses)If heaven and hell are different poles of existence, they attract and keep different kinds of beings. The beings whose orientation is predisposed to heaven will naturally find their home there. Their very nature, like electrical charges, draws them to one end and they exist harmoniously with it. On the other hand, people who have the opposite disposition, like the opposite electric charges, gravitate towards the opposite end. It may not be where they WANT to go, but that is their place and thats where they will. God has made it so, its like trying to push together repelling ends of a magnet, it will not stick. We recognize this law everywhere we go, from mundane issues like a son being forced to take engineering when he is an artist at heart, or a lion being raised to act and think like a pet dog. It never lasts.

This is one place I will quote scripture: When Jesus said "Unless a man is born of the water and Spirit of God, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." (with nicodemus) He was not saying that God judges ur actions, its your spirit, your inner nature, that part of us that was a part of God that enables us enter heaven.

When God created all beings with free will what he essentially gave us was akin to creating a neutral charge but saying, you reserve the right to gain or lose an electron to make yourself either positive or negative (idk if the physics is right but u get the point), but know that which one you chose determines whether u live, or die. Now when God said this(referring to the tree of knowing good and evil) , death was inexistent in the universe. But he told Adam you will die, spiritually and eventually physically. The reason is because God knows what he made and as soon as he created life, at the other end of the spectrum, death came into existence. As soon as he made all things and called them Good, evil existed. As soon as he made perfection, imperfection came into being. So dont ask me if God is good, why did he make evil, it comes with the package. Anything that disrupts the Good and perfect moves towards the other end. So when Lucifer rebelled, he fell from the standard of good and tilted the other way. And when Adam sinned, he disrupted the good and tilted the other way. Based on the laws of the universe, once u are not of one, you are of the other. So hell became the natural destination of all men born under Adam, because the change was spiritual, the death was spiritual. No matter how much God loved us, he could do NOTHING about where we are going unless he could do something about who we are.

And he did.

See, it makes sense for Christ to die. Because if he didn't his human life would not have come to a logical end. He would not have been the ONE human being who died perfect. If Adam had had a son before he sinned, Christ would have been unnecessary because the spiritual descendants of ADAM'S son would have an intact perfect nature. But he didnt. So there was need for ONE human soul to die perfect so that spiritually all men would have a source of a new spirit. And that new spirit, not ANY action you take, is what takes you to heaven. (If you do not become born of the spirit of God, you cannot enter the kingdom of Heaven) Everyother person who sticks with the old human nature, naturally stays going to hell no matter how much God loves them. Thats why I laugh at Christians who say what you DO or DONT do takes you to heaven cos they misunderstand. And when people say if God is good, why did he allow evil. He didnt. We all did. Its free will baby, its either a big responsibility, or a big bitch. But don't tell me nothing about how God loves us so he cant make hell. He already tried to keep us out of it. Its time we grew up and accept the fact that he made heaven and hell, and says essentially, Chose one.

(Don't consider this a sermon, cos believe me I do not intend to influence ur views. Believe what you will, but know what you believe.)

El Divine is out. Lemme hear what you think.

THE BIBLE: WORD OF GOD? OR WORD OF DEMON?

Before I go on with my theory I want to lay down some ground rules..
1. If while reading this, you find yourself seeking to justify 'evil', pause and ask yourself why it is so important to you to justify evil than believe that men like you and I committed evil acts under the guise of 'God told us to do it'.

THE BIBLE BLASPHEMES AGAINST GOD!!

Lately I have been refining my spiritual belief systems, I used to flat out reject both God and the bible. I never for once considered that both the bible and God could be mutually exclusive. The reason for this is because like most of us who suffer from 'intellectual cowardice/mental lying', we are unable to distinguish between the two because that is what we have been raised up to believe and accept. When some of us think of God, we think of the bible, when we think of the bible we think of God. A critique of one is considered a critique of the other and vice versa. Well today, I intend to separate the two of them from each other and critically examine two of them separately. Sometimes, when debating religion with some people, I sometimes make a statement about the bible and my opponent says something like, the bible cannot be wrong because God does not lie or God is perfect or something in that nature. Well, the bible was not written by God sadly. Thomas Paine states that, "That God cannot lie is no advantage to your argument, because it is no proof that priests can not, or that the bible does not." So you see, I believe that God is not capable of lying, but that does not mean that the men who wrote the bible are not incapable of doing so.

I will first of all state my own belief system and then proceed from there.
I believe in One God, and no more. I also hope for happiness beyond this life.
I believe that my religious duties include loving my own neighbor as myself, doing justice, showing mercy, being kind etc.

The bible blasphemes against God, some of you say how? There are things in that book, said to be done by the express command of God, that are as shocking to humanity, and to every idea we have of moral justice, When we read in the books of the Old testament where the Israelites came by stealth upon whole nations of people, and how they killed all inhabitants of those nations; that they did not consider either age or infants; that they utterly destroyed men, women and children; that they left not a soul to breathe; these examples are repeated over and over again in the bible, are we sure these things are facts? are we sure that the God sanctioned those evil acts? Are we sure that the books that tell us so were written by his authority? To believe such things to be true is to believe that God is not a God of moral justice, what type of God would sanction the killing of infants/children? What offence could they have possibly committed?
.

In 1 Samuel 15. God supposedly tells Samuel to go tell Saul that he wants him to destroy all the Amalekites, God supposedly states, "Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy<sup class="footnote" style="font-weight: bold; line-height: 0.5em; vertical-align: text-top;" value="[<a href="#fen-NIV-7564a" title="See footnote a">a</a>]">[a] all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys."

Now what manner of God would support the outright genocide of a people he himself created? And further more, what type of God would support the slaughter of children and infants? And everyday christians read these parts of the bible and gloss over it like it's nothing, never pausing to ask ourselves which seems more likely? That God would support such wickedness? or that men like you and I would attribute the wickedness of men as divine commandments from God?

A lot of us take it for granted that the bible is true and we permit ourselves never to doubt it. I know I once thought like that myself, once you permit yourself to believe that the bible in all of its entirety is true, you will find it hard to critically assess it. When most of us think about God, we don't think about a God that would sanction the murder of children and infants but yet we permit ourselves to believe that the same benevolent God we believe in is the same one who sanctioned those same actions in 1 Samuel 15? Na wa o.
Any book that would describe God sanctioning such evil is not a Word of God, it is the Word of a Demon.

There are a lot more of these examples in the bible, but for the sake of time and because it is not my intention to write a book I will ask that you all do your research, or ask me to provide more and I will.

Instances such as Judges 21 which is so bizarre yet included in the bible, make no sense to me. And this is a book that we are supposed to believe is the Word of God? Why is it that whenever we read these obscene stories in the bible that describe God as approving such evil as murder/rape why are we not led to condemn such a book as the word of a demon than as the word of God? What exactly leads us to believe that any God would approve of such evil? The bible is a book that brings great dishonor to God's name, and the fact that 2 billion people take it as his 'word' is nothing short of amazing.

I believe "mental lying" leads us to believe such stories without giving them any thought. Thomas Paine states, " It is impossible to calculate the moral mischief, if I may so express it, that mental lying has produced in society. When a man has so far corrupted and prostituted the chastity of his mind, as to subscribe his professional belief to things he does not believe, he has prepared himself for the commission of every other crime."

And to think that all this while, I have been called a blasphemer for the things I professed religiously. HA, the irony here is tomuch for me to bear. And they say that the bible is a book "inspired" by God? Hahaha please what about that book is inspired by God? Most of the things in the book point to it being inspired by the devil himself. It truly is a shame and this doctrine is what 2 billion people in the world hold to be true?

Moving On...

So two individuals, man and woman meet, hook up, exchange numbers and all that. They start talking on the phone, every night, every day, texting and getting to know each other. Now mind you, these two individuals have pretty much experienced everything they can when it comes to "male-female" relationships, they know the tricks, they've heard the broken promises, they've been heart broken, cheated on, blah blah blah.

Now these two individuals are obviously wary people when it comes to love, so the topic of love is never discussed or brought up in their conversations. These two people gradually begin to really enjoy each other's companies, their "relationship" stretches into three months and all the while their "interest" in each other grows and grows. At what point then is it acceptable for the guy to drop the "love" bomb? Those three little words that'll change their relationship forever. At what point can he drop it without fear that the girl might take it the wrong way or not accept it? I'm speaking from the guys perspective because I am a guy, the woman will obviously have her own perspective but since she is not here to state hers, we shall ignore her perspective LOL.

My question again is this, when in a relationship between a guy and girl can the guy finally drop the words "I LOVE YOU" or "I AM IN LOVE WITH YOU". Is there a time limit? Should he wait 3 months before dropping those words? Even though he probably felt love for her after the first week? Should he wait a year? 6 months? Because the thing with babes who've been fucked up emotionally by other guys is that their cynicism/skepticism is off the charts, so when they finally come to you they are really skeptical about the words "I love you" unless of cause they are one of those babes who can't wait to hear those words then that one is a different marra.

I really need help or advice answering this question, and NO I am not in love, just inquiring just incase I ever get to this point.. (Lies bloggers typeeee) lmao.

Moving On...

So I've been thinking, maybe there are different types of love. Maybe there is the love that empowers you and the love that weakens the fuck out of you emotionally/mentally. I mean how else do you explain how a babe who's been played and out played by her boyfriend keeps going back to him even though she knows of his transgressions? And she can't for the life of her come up with an answer as to why she keeps on going back.
Most of us have friends like that, who exhibit that type of emotional weakness when it comes to somebody they really "feel". What advice do you give to such friends? Because it seems like no matter what you say, they keep FALLING, FALLING, FALLING as Alicia Keys says.

The probem with Islam is.....

What would you think if your professor, or your employer said to you: "Please be completely honest with me, but don't you dare disagree!" ?

Many Islamic scholars vow that Islam is a religion of logic, wisdom, moderation and peace. They vow that Islam invites people towards insight and knowledge and uplifts the position of women in society. This is far from the truth. Islam cannot stand what is logical and it does not invite people towards insight, but entraps humans.

Islam is about forcing women to wear the "hejab" the symbol of subjugation. Women are second class citizens in the Muslim world. The prophet Muhammad takes his 9 year old wife to bed. What kind of man, not to mention a prophet of God, would commit such horrible act of pedophilia? The Quran says women are to be beaten by their husbands, yet Muslim women apparently are fine with this violence, or they could not wait to divorce Islam and run away. Quran says four wives are allowed but Muhammad had at least 20 or even more. They say, in paradise, women are chained in different areas for men's pleasure.

Islam definitely is not compatible with logic and democracy. As a matter of fact, Islam is against liberty and freedom and peace.

On the slightest provocation - a journalist making a comment about Muhammad during the Miss Universe pageant – angry Muslims erupt into a campaign of arson, brutality and murder. Meanwhile, Western governments, journalism organizations and themselves continue to refer to Islam as a "religion of peace," virtually all terrorist acts worldwide – over 5,000 instances since 9-11 – have been committed by Muslims, against Jews, against Christians, against other non-Muslims, even against other types of Muslims. And then you tell me that a religion that considers changing your mind about what you believe in as reason to \kill you is a peaceful religion?

I almost didn't write this article because I was so scared that someone would find me and kill me as radicals are known to do and I'm supposed to believe that this is a peaceful religion?
There's a saying among Islamic apologists that "Islam means peace." As nice as that sounds, "Islam" does not mean "peace." It means "submission." Submission to Allah, and all his laws.

I mean really, yes they are Muslims who are amazing, peaceful people with beautiful hearts and who just want to worship their God and I respect these people with all my heart and I say, preach to your Muslim brothers and sisters, show them abuse and murder is not the way of peace.

There was a time when if anyone ever said something sideways about my mother, I would fight and what not and one day my mum said "I love that you want to defend my honor but when people talk about me it does not reduce or increase my honor, fighting because of your pride is what reduces my honor." I f my mum, a mere mortal can be that reasonable, why do you believe your God isnt? Why do you believe you have to constantly prove and defend yourselves with acts of violence? And why is evolution such a bad thing for you? Sure don't let your women wear short skirts and bustiers but give them some sort of respect.Give people the right to change their mind about your religion, give people the right to not be Muslims. You come into America, a christian country for the most part and you can wear your hejabs and whatever else you please but when we come into your country we have to wear what you want us to wear? Where is the freedom you talk about?

I have no problems with Muslims practicing their faith and I feel no great need to ban their religion.
But I do have problems with the expression of aspects of their faith as it infringes on others.

The requirement of two male Muslim witnesses to obtain a conviction of rape because a woman's word is not enough.

A Muslim man's word is given twice legal standing than a Muslim woman's -- and non-Muslims may be excluded entirely.

The complete and utter subjugation of women.

The death penalty for homosexuals.

The penalties -- up to and including death -- for things like apostasy and heresy and "insulting Islam."

"The fundamental problem with Islam -- in its purest form, it simply will not tolerate any challenges to its authority. It must be held above all other considerations, systems, authorities, governing bodies, institutions, or belief systems. To deny that supremacy is to insult Islam -- and that is a capital offense under Islam.
I consider myself an absolutist -- whatever one wishes to practice, fine, as long as it doesn't intrude on the rights of others. I believe that the First Amendment, which explicitly guarantees the freedom OF religion, also implies a freedom FROM religion."

Contradictions:

a) Qur’an verse 9:29.

“Those who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day – even though they were given the scriptures, and who do not hold as unlawful that which Allah and His Messenger have declared to be unlawful, and who do not follow the true religion (Deen Al-Haque) – fight against them until they pay tribute (Al-Jizyah, protection tax or exemption tax) out of their hands and are utterly subdued.”

b) Qur’an 2:256 There is no coercion or compulsion in the Deen (religion, way of life). The right way now stands clearly distinguished from the wrong. Hence he who rejects the evil ones (Taghut, non-god power acting as god) and believes in Allah has indeed taken hold of the firm, unbreakable handle, and Allah (Whom he has held for support) is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

To argue that any religion is better than the other is just overreaching. Both religions subjugate women, both religions have had their rules almost disfigured by Teachers and students alike, and both religions have contradictions in their religious books but that is expected as it was written by humans and humans make mistakes.

I've been writing here long enough for people to know that I'm not Ra-Ra-Christianity. This article isnt a slam Islam and promote christianity, it's simply how I feel and I was just about to scrap this when I saw this video:
Long time no speak yo! Don’t worry, daddy’s back and he has something important to say to you. Yes daddy is about to have “the talk” with you, so sit down, relax and read because shit’s about to get real. Before we get into preventive measures and contraceptives, we gonna talk about abortion first. Of course this is assbackwards as fuck, but that’s just how daddy rolls so listen up kids.

I’m pro-life. And because of my stance on abortion, most of my liberal colleagues heavily criticize and argue against my philosophy, but most of their logic is flawed. One of my friends that I always meet at Starbucks once asked “Well I know you’re irreligious, so what moral ground do you have for being pro-life?” The question kinda made me smile. I guess we all need a religious authority/institution to give us a moral compass on life; we can’t just use common sense and logic to work that out for us. Anyways, where are some of the arguments I hear quite often from the pro-choosers.

• It’s not a human, yet: The argument is that after conception the baby becomes “human” and is now entitled to universal humanitarian rights but a fetus inside the womb of its mother isn’t simply because it hasn’t “developed.” So in other words, outside the womb = human, inside the womb = sub-human (simply because it has passed a certain “stage” in life), and somehow this is supposed to make sense. In order to show the absurdity of the argument, let’s apply the same logic to a different example: Killing a 24 year old should be considered as murder, whereas, killing a 24 week old shouldn’t, because the 24 year old has a personality, independent , has a state ID, and college degree and the 24 week old doesn’t even have pubes nor can he/she walk on his/her own so therefore, killing the baby shouldn’t be seen as murder for the baby isn’t much of a human anyway. You see how that sounds, well that’s how it sounds like when pro-choosers say shit like “the fetus isn’t fully developed yet to be considered a human.” For fuck sake, life is evolutionary, it goes through stages of development, reaches a prime, and from there goes through stages of decay. This is how the human evolutionary life chart looks like

Fetus- Baby- Toddler- Kid- Teen - Young Adult- Adult- Mid-Lifer- Senior

Every stage has its big moment before progress; Fetus become babies after they’re conceived, babies become toddlers after they gain limb strength and can walk, toddlers become kids after they pass the potty-training, kids become teens after puberty, teens become young adults after adolescence, young adults become adults after independence, adults become mid-lifers after a mid-life crisis (menopause etc.), mid-lifers become seniors when they go back to the stage of dependency. The abrupt end of the evolutionary process of life is death, and if the end is caused by another human being, it’s murder. Whether it’s stopping the kid from reaching the teenage, or a fetus from reaching the baby stage, it is all murder, plain and simple.

• If you’re pro-life, then you must be against capital punishment: Both are mutually exclusive. Are you really comparing killing innocent babies to killing guilty criminals? One deserves it and the other doesn’t. If you still can’t comprehend that then I can’t argue any further with you.

• A woman should be able to do what she wants with her body: True, but not so much when another life is at stake. Again, one only needs to apply the same logic to a different scenario to see how much sense it makes. If a woman is holding a baby and gently it with her arms and suddenly she decides to fling her arms upward, propelling the baby to be airborne and without an effort to catch the baby, allows the baby to fall on the hard concrete, shattering it’s fragile skull and causing it to die in mere seconds. Can this woman’s excuse for that heinous act be “a woman should be able to do what she wants with her body?” Think about that every time you hear that argument.

• Rape and Incest pregnancy: To be honest, this is a pretty tough one. When dealing with rape, instead of killing the baby, kill the rapist. Make rapist die the most horrid deaths imaginable, like crucifying them upside-down while unleashing a dozen ruthless, South-American bullet-ants on their scrotum. The baby is just as much of a victim as the raped woman; they both didn’t ask for what happened to them. Don’t make the baby more of a victim by killing it. If the baby is that much of a reminder of the wrong that was done to you, then send it to an adoption center. At least give the poor thing life, who knows, that rape baby may be future president of your country.

• If conceiving the baby can kill mother: This is where I’m 100% pro-choice. We are instinctual creatures, and we want to survive, so if another is trying to kill you, you have the right to self-defense at the cost the attempting murderer.

Most of all, I’m against abortion because it’s an irresponsible way of reacting to irresponsible sex. I mean we’ve all heard the phrase “Drink responsibly,” how bout “Fuck responsibly?” kids don’t hear that enough. It’s funny how parents don’t talk much about sex with their children, when that’s exactly how they got their children. Their kids ask them, “Where/how are babies made?” and instead of their parents to be responsible intellectuals, they tell their kids some bullshit fairy tale stories and then get disappointed when that kid at age 15 tells them she’s pregnant. And the sex ed in school is a fucking joke; all they do is put a condom on a cucumber and then tell you abstinence is the key. How enlightening! And this is where I come, to educate you poor young minds and prevent the dangers of irresponsible sex while giving you the best sex tips. So let’s begin Sex Ed 101 with Messiah.

First of all, sex is like driving; the one thing they’ll tell you in driving school is that driving is a privilege not a right, same rule applies for sex. But you are entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of pussy. Sex, just like driving, is a skill which can be improved. Just like driving, sex is mainly about controlling the vehicle until reaching destination (cloud 9), however, unlike driving, sex is very physical (think of it as a sport) and requires a lot of muscular endurance/strength in the glutes, abs, lower back, and PC muscles (this is for both male and female btw). So when you’re at the gym, don’t be like those guys who work on their biceps and chest all day and forget the muscles that really count. Also just like driving, sex is a dangerous act that risks life-altering events. This is where protection and safe fucking come to play. In today’s world, there are so many ways to ensure safe fucking; birth patches, birth control pills, condoms, diaphragms, and if want extremes, there are vasectomies, penectomies, hysterectomies etc. You’re young, the point of sex is fun not to have kids, and using these methods of contraceptives will ensure just that. However, my favorite of all of them is a condom. Condoms do something other contraceptives don’t; kill two birds with one stone. Condoms not only prevent unwanted pregnancies, they prevent you from catching STDs as well. Of course, you might have heard some idiot rant about how condoms aren’t effective or that his shit busted and blah blah blah. When shit like that happens, there are three explanations; 1, he didn’t put in on correctly (this is why Sex Ed classes fail, cucumber and penises don’t have the same surface texture), 2, he bought a condom from 99cents store called Fantasy, and 3, all the above. If you wanna buy a condom, make sure you see a Trojan label on it or else go to a different store and buy it. Trojan condoms are lifesavers wrapped around your penis. I know this by personal experience, and because I know a couple who’ve been going out for 5 years and fuck like rabbits. He (the boyfriend) tells me he never fucks her unless he puts on his Mag (sounds almost like “swag” doesn’t it?) and till today they’ve been practicing fun, safe sex. Another thing to note is that, having a condom is mandatory for both sexes, don’t be that bitch who thinks it’s the man’s responsibility to have a condom, lemme tell you this kids, that’s how you get AIDS. Check this story out:

Chidinma, a beautiful Nigerian babe was at a club chillin’ at the bar trying to get a drink, when a handsome Hispanic man about 246 pounds, 6’ 2” dark masculine eyes, approaches with a warm and charming smile and asks “Can I buy you a drink?” Chidinma replied with a welcoming smile, “Sure.” “My name is Marco” he said “ what’s yours?” She told him, and then he said “Oh, you must be Nigerian, Ibo?” She replied enthusiastically surprised “Yes!” “Kedu” he said, “Odinma” she replied, almost smiling from ear-to-ear. And just like that a convo struck up, and Nigeria/Naija culture seemed to be the main topic. Then as the ice was completely broken, humor began to show up. They began interacting culturally and forming a new dialect/language called “Espanigbo” where phrases like “Nne, como estas?” were greetings. They danced, they laughed, they talked and one convo led to another and the topic of palmwine came up. Marco said “I’d love to go to your country and drink some of the palmwine, but since you’re in my territory why not taste my own version of palmwine?” He turned to the bartender and said “Two Jose Cuervos.” Little did Chidinma know she was falling right into his Mexican trap, although they ordered the same amount she ended up drinking more than twice of what Marco consumed and was getting a lil’ drunk. It was then Marco went for the kill “You’re too drunk to drive home, why don’t I drop you off?” at this point she didn’t care, she was head-over-heels for this Mexican guy, so off they went. Marco, being a seasoned veteran in the game, had everything planned out on how to get into a female’s panties, even how the ride home should be. Marco is the type of guy who listens to sombrero amigo type of music, but tonight he has Rihanna playing in high volume and a drunk chic singing to the lyrics. He picked the music in perfect order: What’s My Name, Rude boy, So Hard. So first it was “Oh na na what’s my name?” then “come here rude boy boy can you get it up?” then “I’m so hard!” This guy was sending more subliminal messages than the Illuminati and Disney Movies combined. The subliminal messages worked, cuz now they’re home and she’s horny. To the bedroom they go, and moments later Marco is hitting it from the back as she screams “Querido papi, harder. Mi culo es su culo!” Holy shit, since when did she start speaking Spanish? Since she started drinking Jose Cuervos, it’s been proving by science by a research lab of randomshitology that the more Jose Cuervos you drink the better your Spanish. Anyways, long story short, they fucked the night away, Marco was gone the next morning and Chidinma started feeling pain when urinating. She saw a doctor and found out she has both gonorrhea and full blown AIDS. Chidinma always thought it was the man’s responsibility to have a condom and not hers.

Well kids, the moral of the story is: Fuck responsibly. Sorry for the extra long post, but a long departure deserves a long return. Enlighten friends, kids, your kids about this post so together we can have an abortion-free world where people fuck responsibly. I’m Messiah and thanks for reading. Goodnight

Still looking for a Role Model?

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 248px; height: 203px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zbnjfHrDVmw/Tff5h34n8iI/AAAAAAAAACs/swIlEEXzg9g/s320/rolemodels.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5618233420500431394" />
So People who know me and and know something about football(soccer) know that my favorite player of all time is the Great Ryan Giggs. So I have been getting calls and twitter comments asking about how I feel about the recent news reports of him not being the model citizen everyone thought he was. Apparently the dude was not only cheating on his wife but he was also messing with his younger brother's wife for over 8 years. The guy was cheating on the person he was cheating with #BADGUY!!! People can get over the infidelity but the extra cheating with the brother's wife just made people turn the once role model into the scum of the earth.

My response to it, so??? I long since stopped looking up to people I have not ever met as role models. Just because they are famous or sucessful does not mean they are anything but human. If we look at ourselves we fail daily so why do we expect these stars to be superhuman. Have no faith in man because man will fail you. So if you are looking up to athletes or musicians or actors to show you how to live your life then be sure to be disappointed, again and again and again. Everyone has skeletons, the difference is how good we hide them. All have fallen and come short of the glory of God, not just normal people or poor people but ALL.

As a through and through Manchester United and Ryan Giggs fan: I say well if that was what he needed to do to be schooling guys half his age on the field, then go on Ryan do what you do. So my response to all those calls and tweets, is I did not become a fanatic for Ryan Giggs the individual, but for Ryan Giggs the football player. I can care less if he is married, I dont even care if he exists outside of those 90 minutes I am cheering him on. Even Ryan Giggs can not stop me from liking Ryan Giggs. He can go on a mass killing spree but nothing can take away that moment in the 99 FA cup semifinal replay, when Patrick Viera decided to pass the ball to him and he raped the Arsenal midfield and defense and scored that wonderful game winning goal and removed his shirt and showed his hairy chest while running around the field lol. That moment will always be burned in my mind.

No matter what he will retire a LEGEND, no matter what he will be labeled as one of the best club players EVER!!! The world is lucky that England had the stupid "Grandparent rule" (now changed) that barred him from playing for England. If not, 98 or 02 world cup might have been lifted by English hands.

Moral of the story: Do not put your faith in famous people because like you, they are human.

WHAT I WOULD TELL MY KIDS

So I've been MIA for a little bit, been busy with a whole host of things. I've been meaning to blog about this topic which concentrates on what I wish my parents would have told me as a child and what I've found out as an adult. I made up my mind that if I ever had kids, I would keep it real with them and tell them the truth about situations as much as possible. No lies.

1. First of all I would tell my kids that Life is severely complicated. Morality is not always black and white, there is a lot of gray in between. I would tell my kids that role models are human beings first and foremost and to never place tomuch faith in any man or woman, because human beings disappoint.

2. When it came to matters of religion, I would tell my kids that up until they turned 18 they would adhere to what ever religion was practiced at my household but once they turned 18 they would be free to pursue any religion they wished to pursue.

3. I would tell my kids about the concept of death and what it meant for the lives they intended to live. That Death is a permanent fixture in human life.

4. Concerning matters of the heart, I would tell my son that if he found a woman worth losing his self respect for, that would be the woman he should be with. And to my daughter, I would advice her that no man was worth losing her self respect for.

5. I would advice my kids to focus more on their character than on their reputations. A lot of nigerian parents focus more on the reputation of their kids than with their character, they are constantly processing things through the prism of how it would affect their family name. Most nigerian parents have figured that it is easier to have a bad conscience than to have a bad reputation. I would tell my kids to stay true to themselves no matter what and even when they made mistakes, they should still hold their heads high.

6. I would tell my kids that humility is a good trait but there is a bad kind of humility. There is a modesty that is based on what people think about you and that is the worst type of humility a person can have. Somepeople are modest because they realize it would be good for "appearances", when in their heart of hearts they have the ego of a giant. I would tell them to watch out for that kind of humility and only to display humility if it came from the heart.

7. I would warn my kids about the influence of "appearances" in the world. Things and people are not always what they seem/appear to be. Few people would rise to their esteem upon closer scrutiny. A lot of people are fooled by appearances and I would tell them to beware of falling for appearances.

8. Growing up as a Kid, everybody played that game in which we were all asked "what we wanted to be when we grew up"? At that time, we all gave answers to those questions with our hopes high and shit LOL. Our parents never told us about the sacrifices one would have to make in order to achieve those dreams, they never told us we might have to betray our friends/principles just to get that promotion or just to get in through the door. They never tell us we might have to tell a lie or two just to pad our resumes, they left those important details out.

9. I would tell my kids that human beings are extremely fickle. They'll love you today and turn against you tomorrow, they will fade with the wind so be careful putting their faith in the masses. They are easily easily swayed, so never be bothered when they don't hold you in high esteem, because one action on your part can sway them in the opposite direction.

10. I would encourage my kids to always work on improving their flaws but never run away from admitting them because of shame. I would tell my kids that "shame" is one of the main causes of human misery in this world. The things people will do just to avoid shame is actually shameful, no pun intended. Accept your flaws, embrace them and if they can be changed, change them, if not.. *shrugs*

11. I would instill in my kids the value of a sense of humor. They should never stop laughing even in times of sorrow and pain, laughter heals all.

12. I would tell my kids that the easiest thing in the world to do is to be you. The most difficult thing is to be what other people want you to be. Don't let anybody put you in a position where you can't be you.

I can only think of these twelve things for now, if I remember more I'll update the post. Please Share with me, what you would like to tell your own kids if and when you have yours.

Restitution

Definition of RESTITUTION
That can't be it. You can't tell me that after a life of murdering people, if a person prays 1 minute before he dies that God will forgive him and let him into heaven? #Stopit!! I like to believe if there is a God that he's certainly not that stupid. He can't be. What?? Doesn't he have to avenge the death of the harmed souls? Isn't that why they say "Leave vengeance for the Lord?"

You can't tell me that after a person kills my family, I leave him to go Scot free because I believe the Lord will avenge it and then I die and see him in Heaven enjoying the same things I'm enjoying. Don't play with my emotions like that.

Please, there has to be more to forgiveness than that. The only reason I'm writing this is because my cousin just had sex with this girl, kicked her out at 11.30 PM and proceeded to drive 5 minutes to a church for night vigil to get atonement for his sins before 12 am. Many people seem to have this same idea about the May 21st rapture scare.. This is why I believe that can't be it. That can't be all God requires to let people into heaven.

We all know I'm not Christian but I want to believe for you people who are Christian sake, that the God you serve is not stupid. There has to be more to it.

I also don't want to believe that people who lie white lies like "I'm a natural blond" and coldblooded murderers are going to the same hell. Hell gats to have levels. This is my belief and opinion. If there is a hell, there gats to be levels. White liars gats to have air condition at least or hand fan. They can't receive the same punishment. It just can't be.

I'm just going to put this out there plain and simple if, and only IF all that is required for forgiveness is a one minute prayer and everyone goes to the same hell, then your God and religion is stupid. But that's a topic for another day isn't it? End of rant.

Vanity xx

I've missed you guys btw. Back one day and it feels great.
It's a beautiful day

Love and Other Drugs...

So a couple of weeks ago I came across this story about a man bathing his girlfriend with Acid. Apparently the man had been in a six year relationship with her and paid for her schooling from her 100 levels (guessing that is equivalent to freshman year) up until she finished. And of course apart from the college costs, he probaly gave her pocket money and other sums of cash for other "things". Well after 6 yrs and the girl getting her degree she decides to tell the guy that she was done with him. Well the guy did not take it lightly, he traveled from Enugu to Badagry, Lagos and poured acid on her. The guy said he was distraught after all the money he had spent on her and still said he would want to marry her even in her disfigured state.

Of course I totally disagree with what the guy did. Even though the girl basically used him for his money it gave him no right to do what he did. She didnt force him to spend all that money on her. When we do things for other people, they are in no obligation to repay us, it would be nice if they did but it is not a must. If you want something in return, draft a contract. I always laugh when people get in arguments with each other and someone starts listing all the things they did for the other person and how the other person did not reciprocate. My answer is always "Who sent you?". especially in a romantic relationship when people make sacrifices like give up friends, family, money, career plans etc. When the relationship fails and they start complaining my sentiment is "Who sent you?" When someone asks me for advice on a relationship decision, the first thing i say is that in a couple of years if the relationship fails just dont become bitter over the sacrifices you made. People make all sorts of irrational decisions because they are in love; when love fails, those irrational decisions get blamed on the other person. When you give dont expect that ish back.

Now as for the woman, I totally feel for her but I would be remissed if I didnt say there is some blame in her corner. Her actions in no way warranted the reaction she got from the guy but... You do not lead another human being on for 6 years while depleting him of his funds. Love is the most dangerous drug out there and people are at the most dangerous when their love has been taken for granted. When you allow a man to spend humongous amount of money on you like that, he will feel like he bought you and therefore owns you. That is basically how this guy acted. Females, do not let a man spend stupid amounts of money on you if you don't plan on marriage. Apart from it being unattractive to me, it avoids the dangerous concoction of love and money. These two drugs are dangerous on their own but when mixed, the synergistic effect is out of this world. We are all human, we all have emotions, thread lightly on them. You can not use someone and expect to go scot free, you do not know what someone is capapble of until they do it. Be careful! just because it is wrong does not mean someone will not do it when pushed, try not to push.

Stay Safe,
Realist

P.S. I am graduating from my undergraduate in approximately 14 hrs...

Suppose a child was born and for some absurd reason he wasn't raised or familiar with the religious notions that exist in the world today. For example, a child raised like Tarzan with no human contact LOL. Now suppose this child was ever in trouble and prayed to a supreme being to help him, which of these following supreme beings would hear his prayer? Allah? Jehovah? Krishna? Buddha?

I and this girl were talking about religion and I happened to ask her a question. I asked her, "Why do you believe in the Christian God" as opposed to Allah? Krishna? Buddha etc? She said because when she prayed to him, he answered her. That struck me as absurd. I then asked her, lets say you were not raised Christian and did not come from a Christian background and you had no affiliations whatsoever and you prayed to a supreme being and he answered your prayer, how would you know whether it was the Christian God or the Muslim God who answered you? How would you even know it was "one God" who answered you instead of "multiple Gods"? How would you even know it was God who answered you and not the Devil?

My point is this, our backgrounds usually influence what our belief systems are. For example, I have an epiphany and I pray to God, the only God in my head that I would be familiar with would be the "Christian God" and so if that God happened to answer my prayer, I would automatically give praise to the Christian God because that is the only God I am familiar with as a result of my upbringing.

Now if a Muslim went through the same thing, they would automatically give praise to Allah because that is the only God they were familiar with. Same goes for a buddhist, Hinduist etc. One usually wouldn't give praise for a miracle to a God one is unfamiliar with.

The History Channel is of the Devil!!!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-FpNa97gmtfw/Tbnx-kEYE7I/AAAAAAAAACg/9--m-g25S8g/s320/url.htm" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5600773668748137394" />
Its been a long long time! I have been going through some things, I might let you all know what I have been going through in subsequent blogposts... most likely I wont lol. When we last met I was talking about me giving up my quest for the truth and settling for happiness. Well that hasnt changed. I was doing so well with my new out look up until a week ago when (you guessed it) I tuned my tv to my former favorite station... The History Channel. If i got to hell, it will be because of the History Channel.

I never doubted the perfect nature of the bible until I watched a history channel episode on the origins of the bible. I never doubted the christian religion until I watched a history channel episode on the origins of religion. Well the new program that had me questioning after months of "peace" was one on Aliens. Yea Aliens!!! How the heck was I suppossed to know a show on Aliens would test my faith lol. So they talked about how the gods of the greeks and romans might actually have been aliens and not gods. We humans just called them gods because that was how we could explain them. Mount Olympus was not a mountain, it was a giant spaceship. Then they analyzed gods from other cultures around the world and showed how similar they were. Then they brought out Enoch from the bible and said he was an alien, and the chariots of fire that God took him to heaven in was actually a spacecraft. Then they started theorizing that maybe these aliens did experiments on us humans and thus aided us in our evolution. The Aliens were space travelers who came to earth for a while to teach us their knowledge and conduct a few experiments.

You might laugh at these assertions, as i did, but before i knew it my brain had started up. The idea is very plausible, almost as plausible as a God who created the world in 7 days. You might tell me to stop watching the Devil Channel if it endangers my faith, but what I value equal to happiness, is knowledge. And more and more it seems I cant have both.

Your Brother in Christ
Realist

P.S. By the way Lionel Messi is part of the Illuminatti.
There will be a lot of tangents in this post so as a reader, be forewarned LOL.
A comedy of manners basically refers to the manners we "well bred" human beings display everyday in our lives which if examined thoroughly would be deemed absurd and ridiculous.
Why for example, do we hesitate to take the last bit of chicken in the KFC bucket especially if others are around who might want that last piece of chicken? Lets say we order KFC for lunch and then everyone has taken a piece of chicken until there is one left, let us say I was the first one to finish my first piece of chicken and I see there is one left, why do I hesitate to take the last piece of chicken? Is it because I am scared that others might judge me selfish and self seeking? And so most times we see ourselves seeking consent before we take the last piece of chicken, we ask around and see if anybody wants the last piece (all the while praying that nobody says they want it) and when we are answered with a "no go ahead" we gleefully take the last piece of chicken. Again this is an example of the comedy of manners that we humans go through everyday.

Now if we had not sought consent from everyone without taking that last piece of chicken, we would have been deemed selfish by others not because of our action, but because we showed no regard for their own "selfishness". Afterall, somebody else might have wanted that one piece of chicken and so therefore, by taking it we have robbed them off an opportunity to take that last piece of chicken. #comedyofmanners

Another example that I thought about goes like this.
Why is it that when we meet a celebrity for the first time, the first thing we concern ourselves with is determining whether they are humble or not? We say stuff like "oh Tuface was very humble, he is not proud at all". And in return, if the celebrity in question is well bred or was raised properly they themselves will be conscious of the "test" they are being put through and subsequently portray themselves to be as humble as humanly possible. This is all part of the comedy of manners we humans put ourselves through on a daily basis. But why do we concern ourselves on whether celebrities show humility or not? Why does that concern us? Do you not see that it is due to the fact that if the celebrities show pride, it offends our senses. We are not mad because they are proud, we are mad because they show complete disregard for our own selfish pride. That is why we encourage modesty in modern society and that is why we want our celebrities to be humble.

Lastly, I got into a debate about role models/heroes and how such men and women are cast as virtuous in modern society. I was of the opinion that no man completely practices virtue or is indeed virtuous. Every man has skeletons in his cupboard that he does not want to see the light of day, and as long as those skeletons exist, no man should be portrayed as virtuous. What makes society consider other men more virtuous than others is not due to the fact that those men are actually virtuous than others. Men such as Martin Luther King/Chris Okotie/Adegboye etc do not necessarily practice virtue and neither are they necessarily virtuous. Men like that do not necessarily conquer their vices as being virtuous requires, rather they artfully/skillfully "conceal" their vices. So it was my opinion that the difference between men like that and men like myself is their ability to "conceal" their vices to a very high extent. Afterall, "what can you ever truly know of other people's souls -- of their temptations, their opportunities, their struggles"? One can only truly know a man by what a man chooses to reveal to them.

Do You Need To Respect A Person to Be Friends With them??

Okay, I know I once said a long time ago..that my friend was basically anyone I chilled with on a regular basis. Some folks on twitter felt that that was too cheap a definition, unworthy of this great calling known as friendship.
Well, tonight, on twitter this argument came up again in a new form: was it necessary to respect your friend, or is it possible to be friends with someone you dont respect. I said, sure. it was. Folks demanded I explain myself, insisting that friendship must come with mutual respect and stuff like that.

Well, lemme state it with all the precision in the world, I can be your friend and not respect you. For me, friendship is a social construct. All of us have the natural propensity to interact with people. Well, if am constantly interacting with you, hanging out, doing stuff together, then you are my friend. Nothing more. I have little demands of the friendship. I may, or may not respect you as an individual. And by respect, I mean, the esteem I hold of your person or character. I definitely cannot trust you. That is out of the picture, totally, complete. OUT. But you are still my friend, and that is not a paradox.

Think back to when you were kids. How did you make friends? That your childhood friend, that you can trust with your life today, how did you meet them? Chances are, you guys played together, or went to school, or did some kind of stuff together. There was no moral test, no character evaluation, no conditions, no demands, no contracts, no criterion. It was just a bunch of kids, doing stuff often, and gradually, you knew each other so well that you could as well be family. So where did we get this idea that friends are people who hold your back, who help you, who will always be there and be the best people for you?? Really? Well, thats not what I call friendship. If that was it, there would be no reason to seperate friends into best friends, brother from another mum, or such marks of status within frienships.

Like, and respect is not the same thing. I like my friends, even if I dont respect them. I had this friend back in Nigeria. He was a cool dude, we hung out together, partied, chased babes, and acted crazy together. Well, dude was a kleptomaniac. Anytime he came to my house, I lost something. I lost stuff, until I totally lost respect for him. But I still GENUINELY liked him. He was fun as hell, and spiced up everything we did when we went out. So of course, when he came I would secure my shit, but we would still live it up. I still call him now and then, from here. He never stopped being my friend, even when he had none of my respect. Another time, I had this dude that was our drivers weed supplier. I kid you not. I hung out with him once when we went to buy a load of weed my driver wanted to stockpile since we were going to the village, then police came there, and the guy drove us thru bunch of short cuts and we escaped. After that, he would come around sometimes, and just crack us all up with stories. We hung out a lot of times after that and he became a cool friend of mine. But I had no respect for him, I knew he couldnt be trusted, cos he was in an environment that encouraged and rewarded shadiness. But underneath the weed seller, the person was a cool dude. He showed me game centers where I would bring my game and we would make money beating folks. I never let him hold the money, I would insist I hold mine, he held his. I wasnt even an inch close to trusting him. But we were cool ass friends, no pretense. He tot I was a mama's boy, I tot he was a crook. But we got along fine, and that was okay.

If I dont have respect for them, it doesnt mean I will use them, or treat them unfairly. They are people and truth is, I try my darndest not to mistreat even strangers. So of course, am always going to accord them the basic human respect by not insulting them at will, or trying to act up on them. That part is not affected by a person's friendship with me or not, its what you get just because you are a person. And ironically that makes it easy for me to make friends with people. But truth is, I could totally think u suck at life, and ur a mess, and i cant trust you to pick your own nose. But if we spend time together, and you come across as amiable, social and fun, then call me a friend anytime and I will answer. Samuel, the son of one Buka seller in our neighbourhood will bear witness. Dude doesnt know shit, refuses to go to school, cant talk to a girl to save his life, does nothing constructive, but he sat around and sometimes tried to draw my attention whenever I passed. After knowing him for one year,I found him a likable fellow and we shared a few laughs and he'll blow the occasional match making I did for him. Still, I'd introduce him to anyone who saw us as my friend, and meant it. Between me and you, I have little respect for him. He is not a driven, capable, intelligent or passionate kind of person, the normal demographic I give respect to. I certainly have many of those kind as friends too. But he happened to have hung out with me, and I got to know him. And thats why we are friends.

Now, tell me..what do you think? Do you insist you friend be someone you respect and can trust, or not?

Wahala dey o...

I have a story to tell...
I will tell it, then analyse it then I shall accept comments on the matter.

What do you do when you know that the boyfriend/girlfriend of your friend is cheating on them? Do you
1. Go tell them
2. Keep it to yourself.

Some of your friends will advice you to go tell your friend, others will advice you to keep it to yourself. The reason I am bringing this up is because a friend of mine's bestfriend boyfriend hit her up and was talking in a trifling manner. Now the babe debated with herself on whether to tell her friend what happened afterall things of such nature must be handled delicately. Suffice it to say that the babe planned to tell her friend and before she could her friend told her that the "trifling boyfriend" had proposed to her. Can you imagine? So now the babe will now appear as a seriou bad belle if she should tell her friend that her boyfriend is trifling. Can you imagine?

So what is this babe supposed to do? Like forreal?
To tell her friend will most certainly bring her wahala because you do not take a Naija babe's happiness away and expect to walk out scot free. Some women put all their happiness upon one dude that they will refuse to hear any ill said about the guy. Some babes have to exhaust every possible excuse/benefit of the doubt/justification before they can believe that their partner is cheating on them. And don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with giving people the benefit of the doubt. The problem arises when the doubt turns into denial and that just becomes pathetic.
God knows its long overdue, people have been demanding that I come open on what my religious views really are. Somehow, they can't reconcile my philosophies with my claims of being a practicing Christian. Which is what I am anyway. I believe in God the father, the son and the Holy Spirit. I do. (4give me in advance if this post reads like a sermon.)
The Christianity that we question, that we can't reconcile with that part of us that believes in a higher truth is the Christianity that the world has fashioned unto itself. This is not what Christ left behind. Its not condemnation, and judgment and rules of behavior and fire and brimstone. All these things have their place, but men have given it the wrong place in the scheme of things. It is not what my faith hinges on.I am as much a questioner and rationalist as the next person. But in my heart of hearts, there is always peace. And that peace comes from my daily walk trying to understand the mind of Christ. To feel the power he felt, to see as he saw and live the life he lived. I cant always hold on to that place, but once in a while, momentarily I have held it in my consciousness. And that is the only reason I am a christian, because beyond church, beyond pastor said, beyond dogma and even the Bible, I have felt the true life of Christ. And believe me when I say that if you feel that even ONCE, everything about this world makes sense. The first thing I realised is that NO ONE can ever get it right, because none of us have the capacity to. So looking for that one man, that one sage who is actually living life as it should be is futile. Its not going to happen. Even the Bible is imperfect, it is God's mind expressed through human hands and tainted with human imperfection. Didn't the Israelites have scriptures all their lives and yet when Christ explained it they couldnt understand? When Christ left, he said I will send my spirit who will guide you into all truth. He didnt say the Bible will guide us into truth, or that anyone should even write the New testament. so quit listening to people say NT is better than Old, and ish. All of them make One scripture and all of them are imperfect. Only God's spirit can guide u into all truth. And I remember when I was full of inner turmoil, trying to reconcile the questions with the answers the Bible gave. And i found that scripture that said ..I will send my spirit who will guide u into all truth. He will explain my words that I have spoken and you will know the truth and it will set you free. Funny, but I prayed constantly for that spirit until I felt it in me. And I laugh when I realise, I have been at peace since then. I still question of course, because God made me that way. but I never have lost inner peace. For instance, many people cannot figure out why a loving God will condemn his own creation to eternal death while saving only a few. I wondered the same thing. Do you know the truth I was guided to? It was another question: if u were a musical composer, and you have made several different notes that you are hoping to assemble into one harmonious piece, what would you do to the errant notes? Humanity is one great harmonious piece that God composed for himself. His OWN enjoyment. No matter how much those musical notes may not like it, if they dont blend, they will get cut out of the piece. In our own self-centered thoughts, it may not be fair that we will suffer a fate like that. But the musicians doesnt compose notes to please those notes themselves. It is ultimately for his pleasure. And the Bible keeps saying this, that the earth and all creation were made for His pleasure. Its not about us.

I may have made sense, or I may not have. My religious views will fill a million bibles if i went on. Because you can never explain it all. Church can never explain it all. The Bible, or the Korna (which I also own), or any other holy book out there can never explain it all. Our understanding can never grasp it all. Only God can. And only Christ has felt the fullness of the mind of God. All the rest of us can do is hope that we stay connected to Christ like branches to trunk and accept the real peace he brings. If you want of course. Its always a choice.

So now no one can send me comments about how I refuse to come clear on my own religious views. I trust I was clear enough.

A Separate Peace

grade, I unlike everyone else loved it. When I came to a decision this Sunday as one of my best friends was preaching at church the title of the book came to my mind.

Well he was preaching instead of the regular pastor as he regularly does when the pastor cant for some reason. I for once wasn’t fighting sleep…lol I looked around and saw the resoluteness and sincerity in his face and then saw the bliss in the audience’s face and I came to this conclusion: I rather have the peace of faith than the constant consternation and upheaval in the quest for the “truth”.

It might be folly to some but I personally am tired of “searching”. Life was better when I did not question if there was a God and what religion did he endorse. Life was better when I was a Christian. People can spend their whole life searching and they still will not find. There might not even be a “truth” out there to find. We would have spent our whole lives searching for something that might not be there to be found.

I don’t know what is right, but right now I don’t care. I have long since come to see blind faith as folly; maybe it is folly but our lives as humans are in a perpetual state of folly. We are here on earth acting out a script we don’t know who the writer is and what their motive is. Our lives are so insignificant when we look at it. It is almost like there is no reason for our existence, maybe there isn’t but I rather act like I am important enough that someone took the time to plan my existence. Maybe this is when faith comes in, when you realize you will never know, you just have to believe in something that has all the answers. I came to find faith as a cop out, as someone giving up on rationality.

So I have made a “Separate Peace” with my quest for the “truth”. The “peace” is that I accept I will never know so I rather save myself the trouble of searching. So I officially give up.

Back to the book, I remember us laughing at the book and insinuating George and Finny were homosexual lovers. This brings me to my one quandary with “giving up”, and that is homosexuality. I believe they are born that way and I cannot understand why “God” will make people outcasts for the way he created them. That alone is stopping me for reaching a full “peace”. Every time I go down this route it always leads to me having to start my own religion that totally fits me.

I feel I might have gone too far on my quest that I cannot just “give up”. I have questioned too much. But I will try valiantly to give up. Lol. I might have to change my name to the Ex-Realist. lol

MORALITY IS NOT ALWAYS BLACK & WHITE

Happy New Year to all of you.
We have been slacking on this blog, but that has been as a result of everybody being busy.
Somepeople have been asking me how come I don't talk about religion as much as I used to. I took a Political Theory Class this past semester and during the course of the class my feelings about Morality changed a lot.

Morality is not as black or white as I seemed to believe. Nothing in life is as simple as some people make it out to be. Sometimes we make moral judgments on issues and become disturbed when others cannot see the logic or the morality in our arguments.
There was one issue that came up between I and my cousin that really highlighted the complexity surrounding us as Human Beings. I and my cousin went to Walmart and after we had finished purchasing our groceries, and put our stuff in the car, I wanted to leave the grocery cart in one of the cart thingys that we normally see at such stores. But my cousin insisted on returning the cart back inside Walmart and leaving it there, his rationale being that when he used to work at Costco, he use to hate when people would leave their carts lying around and he would have to go around to gather the whole carts and put them in a single file. So he sort of understood the 'pain' of the workers in Walmart tasked with getting back the carts and he wanted to help them out. On one hand, my cousin's sentiment can be appreciated. He wanted to do the right thing and help out the workers, he basically showed empathy for their situation. But then I pointed out to him the flaw in his sentiment, lets say everybody who goes to Walmart decided to start returning their carts back inside the store instead of leaving them strewn around, in no short time the people who get paid to gather those carts would be out of a job. Afterall, there would be no reason to pay somebody to gather up carts if customers did it themselves. So on one hand, in the Short Term what my cousin did could be viewed as the right thing to do, on another hand, in the long term what my cousin did if replicated by everyone else could be viewed as the wrong thing to do because it was basically putting people out of jobs.

Even the simplest thing as giving Aid to people who are poor may be in the short term viewed as morally right, but in the long term it may be viewed as morally wrong. Take for example aid to Africa, some people claim that it acts as more as a handicap for the African than as a helping hand. Morality is not always Black or White.

My point with this anecdote is to prove that Morality is not as black and white as somepeople make it out to be. Life in general is not simple, the choices we make are not always black and white. There is a whole lot of gray. And to tie this into the greater topic of religion, my point is that I realized that even though I might disagree on some people's religious views and the stance they take on issues. I need to approach such things as a learner not as somebody who believes that they have the right moral high ground to pursue an issue.
For example, I use to be anti-torture but after watching a whole lot of '24' and seeing the choices somepeople had to make concerning their loved ones. My views on torture started to change to the point where I am indecisive on what the right moral argument is for torture.

Human Beings as a whole are complex, from our politics to our social life. So when some doctrines or ideologies seek to explain everything away as if there is one simple guideline that applies to everybody. It befuddles me. Moreover, I wanted to ask a question to all my readers, do you guys think there should is a separation between a person's public life and personal life? Do you guys even believe such a thing exists? Is there a public life we live and a personal life we live? Take for example a politician, does he have a two lives? Or just one? Does he have a public life and a personal life? And if so, should they be separate? If say the politician is a Christian in his personal life, why should the teachings of his faith not dictate how he handles public matters?

WHO IS YOUR CONFIDANTE??

So, finals are over and I am on break. So this means that I have time to blog and do things of that nature LOL.
On this fine fine night I find myself waxing in the glory of my thoughts. I just realised that I Azazel have never truly opened up to anybody. Not my parents, not my friends, cousins, priest etc. And most of my friends and I will admit, 80% of my friends are female in nature. And hence my closest confidante's are female.
A confidante by the way is a woman to whom secrets or private matters are disclosed.

Now it got me wondering, whether there are others like me out there who feel the same. Don't misunderstand me, I am not saying that I have never shared a secret or two with a friend. Everyone of us I assume has that one person in their life that they feel they can be open with 100% (I assume??) And if that is the case, is it not natural to sometimes share some of your deepest secrets with 'said friend/confidante'?

It struck me that I honestly do not have a confidante or friend who I feel comfortable enough sharing all my thoughts with. And I won't use that cliche of 'oh it's because I don't trust anybody' because even though that may be true. It bothers me that for every one time I tell somebody a semi-secret I tell it to them knowing fully well that I can weather the storm if they decide to betray me and tell others what I told them in secret.

I don't know if yall get what I am saying. Basically, anytime I confide in somebody, I do not confide in them fully, even when it seems like I am being forthright or being frank, I am never truly frank or forthright I just let the person/people involved think I am being forthright.

Seeing as the name of this blog is 'Truth Don Die', it is safe to say that a lot of 'truths' have died in me LOL.
I have this one quote I say to myself everytime I find myself not fully confiding in somebody.
It goes like this:

"The man who cannot endure to have his errors and shortcomings brought to the surface and made known, but tries to hide it, is unfit to walk the highway of truth".

Yes I tell people that I seek truth, yet I know deep down within me that I am unfit to walk the highway of truth.
Hence why every 'bio' I have in all my social networks state "Azazel is a liar who always tells the truth".
At least people won't say they were not warned.

Just Another Rant

I actually wrote this on May 27th... I just never posted it. I didnt read through it but i am sure i still feel the same way just that now, i am more at peace with what i was ranting about... lol Here goes ...

This is just a rant, no hidden agenda, no me trying to act like i know better than anyone, this is what i feel most comfortable with. All i got is questions, few answers, and if we are real with ourselves that is all we have. One of My favorite books is The Count of Monte Cristo. At the end Edmond Dantes(the greatest man to ever live...lol) says this quote "Until the day when God shall deign to reveal the future to man, all human wisdom is summed up in these two words, —'Wait and hope'." The author Alexandre Dumas writes exactly what i feel, we really do not know anything, all it is is a wait game to see if we were right, and some of our wisdom turns to folly, (the earth is flat, the earth is the center of the universe) and some of our wisdom is really hope (prime example is religion, all it is is hope that we chose the one). But where i deviate from Dumas is, what if there is no "god" to reveal it? What if there is really nothing to reveal, what if Life is just a random event based on no laws or design... on to the rant...

Mehn there has to be an afterlife... this short life can not be it. I REFUSE!!! There has to be something more. If you really look at it, life is soo short, i closed my eyes twice and i am 22, soon i will have a family and kids. Soon after that i will be old man and die. Thats if i dont just drop and die. I find it hard that this is just it. What about those kids that die at 1 yr, is that it for them? They dont get a chance to come back and try to live longer. I understand the body fading, but what about the essence, the soul, that just cant be a one and done, how can it just fade? We dont get to come back? Then i wonder what if this is not my first time here? Who was i in my past life? Did i have the same personality? Was i Nigerian? Or maybe i was Napoleon. That could explain why out of all the historical figures i like him the best, plus we have the same birthday. Was i a girl? or maybe i was a cow?
All these are just a few questions i have, and i think some of y'all might have the same questions. It seems like that is what life is... a bunch of questions few answers. I thought that when i was grown up, i would have all the answers. Now i realise that when adults used to answer me with "it just is", or "it is because i say so". It is because they like me had no idea why "it was so". Its so funny the more we know, the more we find out how little we know. All i know is that life is too short, and i wasted 20 yrs of it, i have only been enjoying it for 2 yrs, and it makes me regret all that time i wasted trying to be anything other than "Realist". I want a re-do.
If there is no after life then what is the meaning of our existence? Maybe the meaning of life is that there is no meaning, all we are are numbers in the population, nothing more, a lot less. Accepting this is harsh, but i can fool myself into believeing that this is not a possibility. What i could do is form some kind of meaning of life, which makes me feel good and useful...

I guess this is how religions start.

VISION OF AMADIOHA

This is a vision from Amadioha concerning events that are to be occurring soon. I, the Messiah was in my room meditating on several ideas in the spirit on the Lord‘s day - Thursday (the day of Thor, the white Amadioha). Suddenly, a thunderous noise came from behind me, I turned to see what it was, and what I saw next gripped me with so much fear, I almost used the bathroom (number 1 and 2). I saw perhaps the darkest cloud ever imagined and on top of it was a huge (and by huge I mean god-like huge) black man. His appearance was alien to me; his skin was darker than Wande Coal, yet his eyes were whiter than Wole Soyinka’s hair. The veins on his arms weren’t veins, they were lightning bolts. And on his neck was a huge native necklace made out of 32 beads, each the size of the moon. The site looked like something out of Kanye West’s “Power” music video but multiplied by 100 million. I got so scared I passed out, only to be awaken and brought forth to Amadioha in the arms of two beautiful and bodacious flying women wearing wrappers (I later on discovered that these women are Ogbanjes - angels in Amadioha’s heaven). As I was in His presence, Amadioha clenched his fist and placed it in front of his mouth as if He was going to cough on it, when suddenly a loud thunder clapped. The Ogbanje at my right explained to me that Amadioha is only clearing his throat, and every time thunder claps that’s what He’s doing. Right about now, I was reminded how similar my vision was to biblical visions, and as He cleared His throat, I was expecting Him to speak to me in Old English (thou art, thine be etc) but to my surprise He spoke in pidgin. He said “My pikin, make you no fear no be you I wan punish, but I get sometin I wan tell you.” His voice was so deep and loud that it had a bass to it, in fact so much bass that every time He spoke, the ground below me was shaken by a level 2.5 earthquake. He continued, “Everything wey I tell you for dis vision, write am down for your blog, and make them wey get eye, read; and them wey get ear, hear wetin I go yarn. My pikin, I don vex, your people your Nigerian people don abandon me. The other day, I stop by on the land wey I dey rule upon before, and you no go believe wetin I dey hear and see. The same land wey them dey use do shrine to worship me with, they don use am build church to worship another god.” As He was speaking, it was obvious He was getting angry talking about it, because the earthquake went from 2.5 to 4.0. “Na inside that church them dey sing ‘the God that answereth by fire He will be my God.’ Them dey craze? Them no know say, I dey answer with lightning their God dey answer with fire. Abeg tell me which one dey faster and more effective, lightning or fire?” I humbly answered “Lightning.” He replied, “Ehen nwa ‘m, why your people no get enough sense to recognize say I sabi pass the God them dey worship. In fact, that one no vex me, but the one I go tell you right now vex me to the max: I dey hear them singing, ‘Jesus na you be oga, every other god na so so yeye,’ na eem I come vex. Almost one century ago, every time they wan swear using my name fear go catch am, now them dey call me yeye with confidence. Chai!” To say He was disappointed was an understatement, he was furious. “But no worry,” he continued, “I done already curse them with bad government, and e be like say they don forget say I be the God of natural electricity, so it go make sense why I curse them with NEPA. But e be like say that one no do, them want more, so I go show you wetin I go do if they no start worshipping me again.”

Immediately, I was transferred to a different scene. There were five Ogbanjes with five calabashes (calabashes is the plural of calabash right?), and one extra Ogbanje that was to give the five the signal to beat their calabash. The extra Ogbanje sent the signal causing the first Ogbanje to beat her calabash. All the few Amadioha worshippers were raptured into heaven to enjoy eternal bliss, and those left behind were to suffer in the hands of an angry God. The second calabash was beaten , Amadioha spat into the Atlantic ocean, but unlike human spit, it wasn’t saliva that came out, it was a comet. As soon as the comet landed, a violent storm took hold of the ocean causing it to shoot out a weird creature into a Lagos beach. The creature was very strange in appearance, for it looked like a whale but somehow it also resembled an octopus. I asked one of the Ogbanjes what this creature was and she told me it was a seapork. The seapork landed onshore and seduced the people nearby to eat out of it. They did, and they enjoyed it, only to be struck with a disease months afterwards. And instead of seeking Amadioha’s mercy, they prayed to Jesus. The third Ogbanje beat her calabash, and Nigerians were struck with an ugly and unnatural accent, whereby they said “wars” instead of “was,” “Yelz” instead of “yes” etc. The fourth Ogbanje hit her calabash, and for the next 50 years Nigeria saw no progress in the government and the well-being of the citizens. As population skyrocketed in the country, so did malnutrition and poverty, and they rebuked the devil for something he didn’t do instead of ask for Amadioha’s mercy. The fifth and last Ogbanje beat her calabash, and there was silence in the heavens and on earth, suddenly a huge cloud resided over Nigeria, and this cloud blocked sunlight in the country for 16 years. The heavenly NEPA decided to take light in Nigeria. The inhabitants of Nigeria will search for light be will not find it, they will be isolated in total darkness and still out of ignorance, prayed to the wrong God. Amadioha then told me, “These and worse go happen to your people, unless them open up their eyes and worship the God of their forefathers, I now command you, Messiah, make you go warn your people about this wrath that will bestow upon them. If them get eyes make them read, if they get ears make them hear. I done talk my own.”

My people, you have read (hopefully you have) what will happen if we don’t g back to our roots, and believe in a god that our forefathers accepted as thee god. Let us stop the curse of bad government and NEPA in our people’s lives. Let us stop thinking that a Jewish or Arab god is better than our native god(s). If you’ve been touched by this vision, I want you to know that there is a solution. Give your heart back to your roots and accept Amadioha as your god, your Lord and your savior. If that’s your case, I want you to say this as a swear to Amadioha:

Amadioha, I have been deceived to think that foreign gods are better than you. I’ve been looking for the one true god in all the wrong places, when all I had to do was look home. Like the saying goes, “What you’re looking for in Sokoto is inside your shokoto.” I swear by you Amadioha to accept you as my personal lord and savior, and I will follow you and heed your warnings . I will spread the warning and the good news about you oh lord. In Amadioha’s name I swear. Amen.

Congratulations, you are now a follower of Amadioha. Embrace your new lifestyle with passion and share the good news with friends and family. Also, like many natives gods, Amadioha likes a little sacrifice, so part of your fellowship with Amadioha would include giving up 15% of your income to Him. Amadioha only takes cash, so please make sure all funds are paid in currency to me. Thank you and Amadioha bless.

Help me Jesus

<!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <w:LatentStyles DefLockedState="false" DefUnhideWhenUsed="true"

Disclaimer: This post is not based on the views of all the writers of this blog but on the sole thoughts of Vanity. These are not hard proven fact just thoughts.

Sometimes it's hard not to fall back into routines. Sometimes it's hard not to say "Help me Jesus" or "Blood of Jesus" or "Jesus" or do the sign of the cross even when I don't believe in him. I know way too much to believe that he exists or even if he existed I know way too much to believe that he is the savior of the world. I know those sayings mean/do nothing. They're about as effective as standing in a mirror and chanting "I'm pretty" because if you're ugly chanting isn't gonna help shit no matter what the self help books say.

But I was raised Christian for about 2/3 of my life, sometimes I find myself slipping into the comfortable glove of ignorance Christianity provides. I would say no offense at this point because I really didn't mean offense but that would be pointless because my last sentence is offensive.

Once in a while I go to church because it is truly refreshing to walk into a place and sit for 2 hours where everybody blindly believes. Positivity and faith is usually the only things in the air at most churches and after the hustle and trauma in everyday life that kind of atmosphere is therapeutic.

It's the same reason I loved being a nanny. Children are so positive and upbeat and trusting and stupidly innocent. I'm rambling. Point is, it's very easy sometimes to let yourself go to a place where things were simpler. When you were ten, your hymen was intact, sex & vagina were dirty words, cigarettes meant you were a heathen, you didn't know 10 different words for weed and Jesus existed.

Sometimes I let my mind go to that time and place and I say "Help me Jesus". It feels good for a moment to let the imaginary friend carry all my burdens. Until I realize, he doesn't exist, he can't help me and I'm going to have to do this shit on my own.

Sigh. I'm having a religious vent. I apologize. Anyways I'm writing a not so flattering piece on Islam. I've typed some of it on here but the rest is in my phone. The only thing stopping me from posting it is that I have a thing for a guy who's Islamic. He reads this blog and will be offended. I think I'm going to post it anyhow as soon as I get my balls back.

If suddenly after I post the piece I disappear, I have been bombed people! Ok that was a joke but apart from losing the guy I'm lowkey afraid that that one of them will find me. They don't play.

Btw if anybody gets the divine idea to preach to me in the comments, shit is gonna get live.

I hate "Good Guys"

I hate "good guys"/"nice guys". You know the guys who always say "girls dont like good guys, they always want the bad ones". The ones that tell sob stories and want you to cry for them. It is like their goal to get a girl is to make them feel pity on them and date them. ANNOYING!!! like really so what that you are a guy that does the right thing or treats women respectfully or gets straight A's and other stuff good guys do? DO you want an award? You want us to organize trophy for you? You are doing what you are supposed to be doing, no one owes you any congratulations, you should be happy you are doing it for yourself.

Just because you are a "good guy" doesnt mean you should leave the house like you are color blind. At least have some style, take care of your appearance because if your appearance is not up to par, no girl will be interested long enough to see what a good guy you are. We are visual creatures, most of the time the first thing that catches our attention are visual. Have something other than being a "nice guy" going for you.

Get some confidence!!! the worst thing ever is seeing someone with no confidence, feeling all sorry for themselves. People like being around people that make them happy, and nothing is more saddening that someone with no self esteem. I mean you cant be a guy with no self esteem, it is a very bad combo. A girl with no self esteem will still get play, but not a guy.

Find something that is attractive about yourself... be funny, hit the gym,... or if all else fails get rich, that solves everything...lol

I dont even know why this kind of guys piss me off. One of my favorite sayings is "We hate in others what we hate about ourselves". Lol i think it slightly applies here. I have always hated when people said "Realist is a 'good guy'" Or when parents told their children to be more like "Realist the good boy". I never wanted ot be one of those lame people. But in essence i am just that, but i refuse to be pitiful...lol I ran accross one of these "good guys" today and inspired me to write this semi-rant.
