Step4: Now after you click ok, it will show an error message that you have registered IDM using fake serial key and IDM will exit. Now here the hack starts.

Step5: Now Go to START --}} Then go to RUN and type the following text and click enter:

For Windows 7 users, due to security reasons you will not be able to save hosts file.
The trick is below:
First of all go to C:/ drive then go to Windows Folder and then go to System32 folder and then go to Drivers folder and then go to Etc Folder, in the Etc folder you will see the hosts file.
Now right click on hosts file and go to its properties, then go to security tab and then select your admin account, just below u will see an edit button (in front of change permissions), Now give the user full control and write and read rights and then click on apply and then click on Ok, now u will be able to edit the hosts file and save changes in it.

Step6: Now a notepad file appears something like this as shown below:

When you plug a USB drive in, you might be interested in making a program, or other things happen as soon as you plug in. The way you accomplish this is through the Autorun.inf file. The autorun.inf file is located in the root of the usb drive and tells Windows what to do automatically.
This autorun can be used to make good, or bad USB’s depending on what you like.

Creating a USB Autorun.inf :

To create an autorun file, open Notepad and save ‘autorun.inf’’ (with quotes) and save it to the root of the drive. All it needs to have is in the first line;

Done!

Changing label\icon of thumbdrive:
Follow the steps in Creating a USB Autorun.inf. Before you save it, type this in in this order!

And save. Make sure the icon file is in the root of your drive.

Making a new option appear in the autorun menu:
Right, so make your autorun file and type this into Notepad:

1. Start, Run, 'Regedit'.
2. Press 'Ctrl'+'F' to open find box and type 'Recycle Bin' to search.
3. Change any value data with 'Recycle Bin' to whatever name you want to give it ( ie, like 'Trash Can' or 'Dump' etc).
4. Press F3 to continue searching for 'Recycle Bin' and change wherever you come across 'Recycle Bin' to new its new name.
5. Repeat step 4 until you have finished with searching and changed all values to its new name.
6. Close regedit and hit F5 on desktop to see the new name on screen.

Note: As a good practice, always backup your registry before changing anything although changing 'Recycle Bin' name is a simple tweak and doesnt affect anything else

Tips and Tricks for Using Skype

Our company has moved to Skype as its standard for instant messaging mainly because we like the chat room feature and it includes the added benefit of making calls (we just added a new office). I particularly like the logging features that allow you to retain past conversations which is handy for going back and grabbing phone numbers and URLs that are often passed back and forth among co-workers.

Here are some of the tips and tricks I have picked up in the first couple of weeks using Skype on a daily basis. Some came from my co-workers some are on my list of to try later.

Use Skype With a Headset While Sending Music to Your Speakers

If you want to make calls on Skype but don’t want your conversation blasting out of your PC speakers, there is a simple way to set it up.

For Windows Users

Connect your USB headset a USB port on your PC.
Connect your PC speakers as you normally would.
Open the Skype.
Go to the Tools menu, then choose Options
Select your USB headset as the device for audio in and out.
Close this menu.
Open your Windows Control Panel

Open the Sounds and Audio Devices option
Select your sound card (not the USB headset) as the sound playback default device.

For Mac Users

Connect your USB headset to a USB port on your PC.
Connect your PC speakers to your sound card as you normally would.
Open the Skype.
Go to the Skype>Preferences menu, then choose Audio
Select your USB headset as the device for audio in and out.
Close this menu.

Make Text Chat your default over Voice

If your first preference is to chat via text with your friends rather than voice over IP you can change your preferences to make that the default option when you double click. In Mac OS this is under the General tab.

Record Skype Calls (Windows Users)

I use a Mac or Linux so I am out of luck on this one but Pamela Systemsmakes a Skype recorder for Windows. Mac users can use Audio Hijack Pro orWireTap. Linux users can use Gnome’s Sound Recorder or you can manually start Audacity on any platform.

Skype Plug-In for Pidgin and Adium

If you still are using other chat software you might not want to have Skype and Pidgin or Adium for Mac OS users running on your desktop. Eion Robb has a plug-in to bridge Skype to your messenger platform.

For Sending Bold Text

whatever you type between * *(two stars ) will automatically turns into bold.
Example : You write
I *really* mean it. Turns to I really mean it.

For sending underlined Text

Whatever you type between _ _(two underscores) will automatically turns into underlined text
Example: You write

I really _mean_ it.
Turns to
I really mean it

For writing Bold+Underline

Whatever you type between *_ _* will automatically turns into Bold+Underline
Example:

You *_mean_* it?
Turns to
You mean it?
