Factory worker took own life

A FACTORY worker found hanging in his home took his own life, a coroner ruled.

Douglas Kitching, 58, of Yarm Road, Stockton, was pronounced dead at his flat on August 15 last year. Mr Kitching had problems with alcohol and depression, an inquest heard. A post-mortem examination revealed Mr Kitching had consumed a minimum of the equivalent of seven pints of beer. Teesside Coroner Michael Sheffield recorded a verdict that Mr Kitching killed himself.
