Wolviston FC

WOLVISTON travelled to Richmond and on a tight pitch both teams started well.

Wolviston began well only to be caught out by a ball lost in midfield, with Richmond's number eight running through and slotting into the bottom corner.

Wolviston fought hard to get back into the game when Ellis Lowe popped up on the wing to shoot at a tight angle from the edge of the box. The keeper had no chance from a quality finish.

Wolviston pressed hard now and created chance after chance with some great play on both wings from Lowe and Ferguson. The second came again from Lowe with a little bit of luck from a deflection.

Wolviston FC

WOLVISTON continued their good start to the New Year with a 1-0 win over a battling Middleton Rangers side.

The visitors looked dangerous but were held by some good work in defence by Faisca and Thomson at the back.

Wolviston got the only goal of the game when O'Brien found Barker, his defence-splitting pass found the Man of the Match, Appleton, who slotted the ball home.

Rangers piled on the pressure and so nearly got the equaliser two minutes from time, but Hurry's treble save and Hanson's clearance denied the away team a point.
