A Message from the Vicar

Usually, churches tend to celebrate the anniversaries of the bricks and mortar.

But at Holy Trinity we want to celebrate the 'living stones,' the community of people who over the last 150 years have found meaning, purpose and peace in worship.

The thousands who have 'touched eternity', celebrated new life and marriage and mourned loved ones, surrounded by faithful love, prayer and practical support.

Please join us this year as we celebrate 150 years of faithfulness to God and to the people of North Ormesby.

A year to remember at the Trinity Centre

Holy Trinity Church is celebrating 150 years of Christian worship in North Ormesby with twelve months of celebrations.

As we look back and remember the beginnings of the parish in November 1858, we also want this 150th year to be a year to remember.

150 years in North Ormesby will be a year full of activities for the whole community.

So whoever you are, whatever your interests we are sure you will find our programme of events a great opportunity to learn about and celebrate the history and heritage of church and community life in North Ormesby.

CARGO FLEET U15 V WHITBY TOWN U15

Cargo fleet laid to rest the horror from the first game of the season and went to the top of the league with a resounding result against whitby, comfortably winning 3 - 1 even though they only had ten men for an hour of the game due to a very harsh sending off.
The game started with whitby scoring early through the leagues second top scorer beckett
but this was only down to the fleet defence not being switched on but fleet quickly responded through palla with a low shot which beat the whitby keeper, palla then added another after some good work through the centre by fleet midfield players, but goal of the match was scored by jack campbell whos 30 yard shot left the whitby keeper rooted to the spot, that was the end of the scoring, the second half started with fleet on the attack but chance after chance went begging as fleet even without the league top scorer due to suspension were showing the type of form which has seen them undefeated since the first game of the season which for a team whom only started playing together 6 weeks prior to the start of the season shows how well they have bonded ,whitby tried in vain to break down the fleet defence especially in the last 10 minuits when the 10 men of fleet started to tire but the fleet stood firm credit should go to the whole team who all played with 110% commitment especialy the two centre backs L.Quirk and C.Hughes who both worked hard to easilly quell the threats created by whitby but man of the match goes to fleet keeper Aiden Chester who pulled out 3 outstanding saves from speculative shots from the whitby attack this result now puts fleet back on top of the league and if they can keep up the good play they should manage to stay there

Roadworks in and around Middlesbrough

A66 ROADWORKS

NORTH MIDDLESBROUGH ACCESSIBILITY SCHEME

Lane restriction will again be introduced between the A19 and Newport Interchange to allow works to be completed along the A66 verges. These restrictions will only be introduced after 9.30am on the eastbound carriageway and will be removed by 3.30pm on the westbound carriageway. The 30mph speed limit will continue to be in place throughout the works. Work will commence on Heywood Street at its junction with Newport Roundabout. This will require the diversion of the existing pedestrian route with a temporary pedestrian island being created to allow the safe crossing of Heywood Street. Pedestrians are asked to follow diversion route. Construction work will continue on the inner ring of Newport Roundabout. Temporary traffic signals will be in operation to allow construction of the new roundabout on Riverside Park Road.

As new areas of works come online motorists are asked to take care when driving through the road works.
