Roadworks in and around Middlesbrough

A66 ROADWORKS

NORTH MIDDLESBROUGH ACCESSIBILITY SCHEME

Lane restriction will again be introduced between the A19 and Newport Interchange to allow works to be completed along the A66 verges. These restrictions will only be introduced after 9.30am on the eastbound carriageway and will be removed by 3.30pm on the westbound carriageway. The 30mph speed limit will continue to be in place throughout the works. Work will commence on Heywood Street at its junction with Newport Roundabout. This will require the diversion of the existing pedestrian route with a temporary pedestrian island being created to allow the safe crossing of Heywood Street. Pedestrians are asked to follow diversion route. Construction work will continue on the inner ring of Newport Roundabout. Temporary traffic signals will be in operation to allow construction of the new roundabout on Riverside Park Road.

As new areas of works come online motorists are asked to take care when driving through the road works.

SOME of Teesside's brightest legal brains will be taking silk from the divine and the devil to raise charity cash.

The legal workers are backing the RNLI's SOS Day on January 30, 2009 - the lifeboat charity's biggest fundraising event.

Staff at Punch Robson Solicitors will donate money to dress as saints or sinners for the day - although those working in court can choose the more formal alternative of spots on socks.

The firm has offices in Coulby Newham and Ingleby Barwick and more than 70 staff will be taking part in the fundraising.

Rhythm Time - new year, new class

Rhythm time returned last week for a new term. We have had a good intake of new children and they are settling into classes very well. However, children can join anytime during the term.

Rhythm Time runs pre-school music sessions at Langdon Square Community centre on a Friday morning.

Rhythm Time believes that every child is musical. We offer fun, quality music sessions to help nurture this musical ability.

We sing, dance and play lots of percussion instruments. We incorporate listening, rhymes, exercise, exploration but mainly we have lots of fun!

Classes are split into Baby class (0 - 14 months) and Toddler (14 months - 3 years).

For more information please call Carol on 07510 241926
