The best Roasted Pork and Chicken rice the I ever tried at Bukit Mertajam. Love the steam rice, the slices meat mix with gravy. I never missed a change to go there for my dinner or supper whenever I go back BM. It's open almost 24 hours especially midnite.

Meet up with Simon and Bee Sisters at Bee Won Korean Restaurant after Guilin trip. Ordered only 2 dishes which are pork BBQ and seafood fried nian gao (炒年糕) but end up with full of side dishes filled up the whole table. Surprisingly cheap with discount just cost total bill with RM145 with many many foods. Love the environment, friendly service, very traditional taste from Korea, etc.

I love the seafood fried nian gao (炒年糕), really tasty and quite original taste from Korea that I had tried. I give 4.5/5 scoring. Pork BBQ is not bad too but I would prefer SaRang Hei Korean Restaurant which opposite Ping Hwa High School. 4/5 on the scoring.

For me, it's worth trying and 100% sure if you choose to go Dao Rae or other Korean Restaurant in town. Anyway, taste is still up to individual lah. I like might not present other people can accept it.

Hear about this Vegetarian restaurant for sometime on the best desert that they served. This round, we are organizing a farewell dinner for Adeline and Andre for their return back to Germany.

The foods is wonderful. They are good in western style and desert. I totally not aware actually it's all pure vegetarians at all. Very highly recommended to try sometime than normal vege foods that we usually have.

However, taste still up to individual. I say good might not be better than others.

Was told by a good friend that she found place that served good coffee with uniques designed under heritage building. Love the simple antiques designed and cozy places. The coffee is good and so relaxing with listening to 50's song. Just simple foods serving with only 5 items in the menu to choose from.

Nice place to hang out with for a little chatted with friend while enjoying the coffee.

The owner is renovating the rooms which plan to turn to motels.

Lately Straits Quay became the most happening place for hanging up and fine dining. Almost everynite, there are so many people came here just for a walks, photos shooting, etc. Benn talking to a friend to comes here for dinner since my birthday early of the month but not managed to till lately. We choose Pork Knuckled for sure as our food survey in Straits Quay for sure. That’s how Weissbrau started.

Like the environment and friendly services. Foods comes just right portion for one person. Of course, it’s a bit too big for a diet ladies ya. Kekekekkeek. Not much to say but just simply the best. Try out yourself.

Four Season Bakery

Located on the very right corner of the Straits Quay building. Serving nice and western bakery instead of normal local bakery. I love the homemade Foie Gras pudding applied on top of France toast or dipping the bread with special made Balsamic vinegar. The cream puff is another must choose item too.

Famous with stone oven baking for all its bread. The cuisine situated under a very huge bungalow compound which owned by chocolate factory boss. The shop offering various kinds of breads that baked by huge stone oven that special built. They do serve various simple patisseries and coffee. The decoration is more towards Italy and very relax environment. All chefs and working staffs are part time students, I would rather say that the owner is providing a very good environment to those students that who study in food and beverages industries with very good training platform. The foods are nice in taste, not much decoration but yet, it’s simple and not expensive. If you happen to drop by KL, do pay a visits to this restaurant and you will falls in love with it.

This Koay Tiew T'ng store is still the most famous store in Alor Setar which located at Jalan Pintu Sepulur (Alor Setar people called 2nd Street) was my most favorite store since I was small. RM2.30 for extra fish ball where can find in Penang? The soup is just too good to mix with the koay tiew and the fish ball. Can't deny to say the best if you are alor setar people and agree with me.The curry puff is also one of the best and famous in Alor Setar. RM0.50 per piece is it expensive? It’s very good for me.

If not mistaken, I started eating this store wantan mee since i was 2 years old. My cousin always bought this shop wantan mee when I follow my mum visited my auntie.The shop was owned by a lady and help by her sister, even till now. When small, a bowl of wantan mee just cost RM0.80. Taste still maintains the same (but little slightly different if the sons are preparing the mee compared to their mum).The noodle is just simple made by hand and so tander when eat it. In fact, the noodle still maintain so tender even you had keep it over night.They closed on every Saturday night and SUnday morning.2 bowls of wantan mee, 1 extra wantan soup, 1 plate of chicken and 2 drinks cost RM11.50. Cheap? You can try it out yourself if you happen to visits Alor Setar. But taste is still up to individual.

Got to know this restaurant from friends introduction. Went there 1st time on 27th Oct, 2010 with YY, CY, Pam and Lace.We ordered 2 mix dishes - 重庆干锅肥肠和酸菜笋子鸭。What I would say, nice but very spicy for me (which we just ordered a medium spicy). Really killing me but syoik nya.....................Owner is a couple came from 重庆，China. They have more than 12 types of soups to choose for........ There are many side dishes can be choose from a list of your choice. Make sure request the special made chili and mix with 腐乳。It's just simply the best and specialties from the restaurant.Just drop by and try, I love it very much but............ it's up to individual, not my recommendation will be accepted by others.

Best Curry Fish Head in Alor Setar

Passed by and saw a huge bungalow house when on my way home after lunch with family during 9 days vegetarian last month. Asked mum and dad about what is this bungalow about and they told me it's a famous curry fish head in Alor Setar. This round went back, arranged a date with family members to try out.The curries are really goods. it's worth trying especially the sambal belachan. It's exactly how my grandma prepared. I missed it so much everytime my grandma prepared during Chinese new year. Total cost for 1 curry fish head, 4 sotong, 2 big prawn, 2 veges and 1 fried egg with 6 rices and drink is just RM39.00. Do check out this place if you happen to go to Alor Setar. But, the taste is up to individual as different people might has different taste and requirement.

Lately joined Art of Living class and met a group of nice people as well as food lovers. They introduced me and brought me there for try. I felt in love with these two places very much.

I would say this is the best thai food that I had tried so far in Penang, especially keng som steam fish, Tuk Tuk steam fish and pork leg........

Restaurant is opened by a nice lovely couple which the hunsband is a western and a lady is a local chinese. Restaurant served simple and nice western cuisine with a couple owned recipe. Food taste good and nice environment. Restaurant was introduced by a friend for 1st time and not managed to bring my camera along. Went with makan kaki for 2nd time as want his comment together. Food tasting is up to individual. It might not apply or agree to others.

It's a bit out of Melaka town but all seafoods are fresh for sure. Advice to come early or else you can't get a place to seat and not much seafoods left to choose for. Turn in once you see this signboard and drive till the end of the road. Nice sunset view if you sit outside in the open air area. We reached around 6:30pm to 7pm and it's still not many customers. See, 7:15pm and all tables are filled up with people. All seafoods are fresh to choose from.......... More to choose from...................My favorite, sea crab.Melaka style Otak-Otak You will be surprise that each table will serve with these little small package of nasi lemak. Simple and very small package but very spicy chilli is attached. The dish of the day. Deep Fried big prawn. Crunchy outside but juicy internally. Sambal Pedas Sotong(Squid). My another favorite dish Deep fried fish with tomatos sauce. Good for children as well.Really ikan bakar.............See........ Children also enjoying so much.......... What else can say?

Donald and Lily Nyonya Food lately very famous near Jonker Street. The store started business since 1960's where by it was famous for the Cendol and Mee Siam. Now a day, they added few dishes to the restaurant after making big for the business to attract more customer.

Mee Siam...... the original and famous from the store. Gravy is little sweet and sour, but it's mix well with the fried behon. Must try dish.

Nyonya Carry Laksa. My favorite.

Asam Curry Fish. Strong sour taste which serve great with rice. My favorite too.

This Duck Mee shop started then business even before 1970's and well-known now still to Melaka people. It served with yellow noodle, koay tiaw or bihun. you can order either in soup or dry special made source.

The shop is just beside this Wo Wat restaurant instead.

The store now served by the son as they have another store in other places.

It taste great even the outlook is just simple and normal. The sticky sauce (not that sticky till like Penang Loh Mee) was special made from the soup in the orange bowl which comes with duck taste but not really strong that I can still accepted.Everybody comes just because of this duck mee. wanna try? Pls go early.

Loh Bak, this is Melaka specialty that totally different from Penang. The sauce is sweet and the chilli is much spicy.

Coob Caffee is located at Komtar Walk which not able to observed if you driving and passing Komtar. It's because of the shop is blocking by Heaven Karaoke building. Nice ambiance and soft lighting making you enjoying the meal and coffee. The shop is just focus in coffee and originated from Japan.The manu is served with varieties of coffee's.

See......... how relax it's.

U can order coffee or cake seperately. But I highly recommended to order in set which just cost RM1.00 extra for coffee + cake. If not, coffee itself already cost RM7.90. Same to cake.The coffee is very smooth to drink even I did not adding sugar and milk.

The shop serve only 3 type of foods which are mushroom spaghetti.

Japanise Curry with chicken chop and Japanise rice.

When you see from outlook, you might miss understand that it's just a tea shop that selling tea. I had been passby this shop many times but have not aware of it's actually a restaurant and somemore "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon"臥虎藏龍. The main chef is one of the 4 most famous Chef in Penang during 70's-90's. 檳榔嶼厨界的四大天王厨师. Malai Chong Chef - one of the 4 top chef in Penang during 1970's - 1990's.檳榔嶼厨界的四大天王厨师 - 马来忠All foods that he cook is not oily, not saulty, not sweet, all taste just nice, and smooth when eating. especially the taste really 70's oldern days that I still can remembered. 好古早味. 招牌菜 - 月亮照五洲月亮 - 皮蛋，咸蛋，鸡蛋五洲 - 鲜虾，鲜鱼，干扇貝，湿扇貝，貽貝Very highly recommended. Ayam Pongteh

This is another traditional nyonya dish that not missed. The dish would be much better if it's cook with Pork. My favorite especially the kuah heat it up and serve with white bread in the morning as breakfast.

Udang Lemak Nenas

This is another traditional nyonya dish that not missed. The dish that I love the most. Just simply the best.

Ikan Kuah Lada

This is the traditional nyonya dish that you should not missed. According to baba and nyonya practice, kuah lada will be served with "you cha kuai" in the next morning if the kuah is still left over and better taste.

Udang Goreng Asam

The dish that my mum always cooked when I was small. I miss my mum cooking.

Bendi Kukus

Bendi is steam and served with special made shrimp sambal. Simple dish yet taste perfect good when served with rice.
