If buzz is to be believed, Deepika Padukone is said to be back in Race 2. Reports had it that Deepika would do the film only if her never ending demands were fulfilled. However, putting aside all the rumors, we learnt that
Dippy just called truce and returned to the film.

Why did DP return to the film?

Well, buzz is that producer Ramesh Taurani filed a case to get a non- cooperation notice issued against the actress. He also registered a complaint against Deepika with CINTAA (Cine and Television Artistes Association) and AMPTPP (Association of Motion Pictures and Television Programme Producers). No wonder, Deepika changed her mind.

Well, Deepika and Taurani are now working out the dates.

Malaika Arora Khan in ‘Anarkali disco chali’ from ‘Housefull Sequel′!!

Munni Badnaam Hui, broke all records with the combine efforts of Malaika Arora and choreographer Farah Khan. The hit jodi is back once again with Anarkali Disco Chali. Now, the question is, which one will be bigger and better, Munni or Anarkali!

Malaika says, both the songs are totally different. While ‘Munni’ was all desi, ‘Anarkali’ is more modern and sexy.

Malaika talks about the song. “Munni is iconic, so I wouldn’t like to draw any comparisons and would request others to do the same. But, at the same time, Anarkali Disco Chali is Kick A**.”

Bollywood star Katrina Kaif has reportedly asked her mother to 'arrange' a suitable boy for her, reports Mumbai Mirror.

The report quoted Katrina's friend as having said: “Katrina has told her mother to find her a guy. She has decided to go with whatever ‘momma says’.”

The report quoted her close friend as saying: “Katrina is done with Ranbir. She didn’t want to spend time with him and that’s why decided to opt out of Ayaan Mukerji’s film. In fact, Katrina will not consider offers to be cast opposite Ranbir in the near future.”

“No looking for or falling in love in the film industry for Katrina. She has learnt the hard way that love is a rare commodity in the industry.

"She wants to avoid any more emotional stress in the future and just focus on her work. No emotional involvement with co-stars, no matter what the temptation,” added the friend.

This decision comes in the wake of rumours about Katrina and her ex-flame Ranbir Kapoor rekindling their romance.

Katrina, currently in London, is not amused with the stories about her and Ranbir floating around. And though As far as love is concerned, Katrina is done with Bollywood actors. End of story.

Emraan-Vidya Team up In Rajkumar Gupta's 'Ghanchakkar'

After delivering a hit with ‘The Dirty Picture’, Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan are reuniting on the big screen for the comic caper ‘Ghanchakkar’ to be directed by Rajkumar Gupta.

The comic-thriller is being produced by UTV Motion Pictures, who have invested in both of Rajkumar’s earlier films - ‘Aamir’ and ‘No One Killed Jessica’.

“As an actor you want to reach out to the audience with diverse yet entertaining roles. When you have worked with an actor before there is a certain amount of comfort. Emraan is a brilliant co-star and we hope to rock it together again,” Vidya said in a statement.

While Vidya has already worked with Gupta in ‘No One Killed Jessica’, this will be the first film for Emraan with the director.

“It is a brilliant story factoring all essentials - comedy, thrilling, edgy, and entertaining. And to add to the excitement me and Vidya will be seen on screen together again and we will recreate the magic,” Emraan said.

‘Ghanchakkar’ narrates the tale of Emraan, an ex-conman who is laid back and has a taste for finer things in life. He has an ambitious wife, Vidya, who has her own notions of the world.

Therefore he gets sucked into a ‘chakkar’ and has to suffer two thugs - one with a bad ailment and other with bad sense of humour. All this leads to madness, confusion and chaos.

“With Emraan and Vidya on board we have managed to get our dream cast. The explosive combination of Emraan, Vidya and Rajkumar will take the audience by storm,” UTV Motion Pictures CEO Siddharth Roy Kapur said.

The film will go on floors in August this year.

Bebo To Do Halkat Jawani Item Number In Heroine

Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor will be doing two item numbers in Madhur Bhandarkar's film Heroine, says a media report.

After doing a mujra in her beau Saif Ali Khan's film Agent Vinod, Kareena will be gyrating to item numbers in Heroine.

Bhandarkar reveals: “Kareena will be doing two item numbers. One of them is called `Halkat jawani...'. I am sure she will take the nation by storm with this one."

"The film also deals with the subject of manipulation in the casting and editing stages. I hope I don't rub the film fraternity in a wrong way,“ says Bhandarkar, who is also co-producing the film with UTV Motion Pictures.

Bhandarkar also credits the actor for pulling off steamy scenes with Arjun Rampal with professional ease.

Bebo, a director in the making!

Off late, Kareena Kapoor is showing too much interest in film making. The actress had impressed Karan johar with her behind-the-scene skills in his latest flick ‘Ek Mein Aur Ek Tu’ and so Karan is all set to give Bebo her own project to direct.

It all started on the sets of her beau Saif Ali Khan’s production Agent Vinod Kareena got so involved in the off screen developments of the film that she decided to learn more about it. Well, EMAET then gave her a platform to learn about scripting, editing, mixing and background music. The actress literally was like an assistant director on the sets of Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu.

Not just that. The actress also gave many suggestions to improvise Karana’s EMAET and they were incorporated in the script too.

Thus “Karan has asked her to get on board as a formal assistant and then eventually direct a film,” the source tells a tabloid.

Bollywood actor Vidya Balan has now donned a Maharashtrian avatar for a lavani number called Mala Jau De! in Vidu Vinod chopra's film Ferrari Ki Sawaari.

According to a media report. this is Vidya Balan's first item song and she spent over three weeks rehearsing for it with a local troupe from Kolhapur.

Director rajesh Mapuskar insisted that Vidya work with auhentic lavani dancers and even choreographed the song.

Mala Jau De! was shot over three days and Vidya didn't take long to get the expressions and movements right.

So, get ready to watch the Ooh La La girl in a different role.

In the morning, we had told you that Ash-Abhi’s daughter has finally been named and would soon be out in the open. Well, we never expected it to be this soon.

They can talk for hours but prefer hard-core debates to sweet nothings. She loves him but loves Scrabble a little more. He accepts he can’t beat her at it but puts up a fight just to agonise her. He loves mindless action films which put her to sleep. She loves salads and soups which he considers ghaas-phoos. She cringes every time she sees him indulge in fats and carbs. She is true blue royalty and he is a Kashmiri migrant in Mumbai.

They are opposite ends of the spectrum and yet Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Khemu can’t get enough of each other.

The couple have been together for over two years now. In an exclusive interview and photo shoot over lunch at Bandra’s swish restaurant, Bungalow 9, they opened up about their love story.

How did you guys meet?
Kunal: We actually met on the sets of Dhoondte Reh Jaoge but we didn’t connect at that time. I didn’t even have her number after we finished shooting the film. I thought she was too intelligent for me.

Soha: I didn’t really feel like we had much in common. I asked him how he liked to spend his free time, and he said he preferred staying in and watching movies. And I thought to myself, what a bore!

So how did that perception change?
Kunal: When we worked on 99, we spent more time together. I had heard of the Soha Ali Khan but I didn’t think she would be this quick-witted person. I knew of her blood line, that she studied at Oxford and was a banker. I felt she would only be interested in people with a high IQ (I’m not saying I don’t have one). But she’s a very humble person.

Soha: I was very attracted to Kunal – his eyes and smile. I knew he was someone I would want to spend a few evenings with. He is very complex while I am more on the surface. I was very intrigued. Some days he was extremely introverted, other days he would chat you up. He kept me on my toes all the time and I like that in a man.

What attracted you to each other?
Kunal: Had we had the same stories to share, we wouldn’t have much to talk about. Soha still finds my stories extremely funny, especially the one where my friends and I barged into a wedding just so we could eat.

Soha: For me, he is someone who has lived life on his own terms and is a self-made man. It’s not just the stories. He’s an interesting person who is sensitive towards other people and has the ability to deal with different and tough circumstances. I draw comfort from the fact that no matter what happens tomorrow, good or bad, he will be grounded because he has seen it all. That gives me a sense of security.

What was your first date like?
Kunal: We actually don’t remember our first date and neither do we believe in remembering dates. We just started hanging out and one thing led to another and soon we were seeing each other.

Soha: The first time Kunal and I went out together was for The Dark Knight. And he arrived 20 minutes late. So I don’t think that qualifies as a date. Another time, he took me out for dinner but we chose a restaurant with super swift service and the meal got over in 15 minutes flat. And even during that joke of a dinner date, he didn’t talk to me much. I was upset because I thought he wasn’t interested in me but after more dinner dates, I realised it’s impossible to talk to Kunal over a meal because he loves his food more than his woman.

You are surrounded by good looking people all the time. How do you deal with attraction?
Soha: You will always find men and women attractive but there’s a difference between thinking and acting. It’s impossible to control what you think but it is possible to control your action and that’s the important thing.

Kunal: I have generally never committed to things in my life but I am very committed to this relationship. Soha is one of my best friends and sometimes I treat her like a friend more than a girlfriend. Sometimes I even talk about other women to her. Even though I appreciate other beautiful women, what gives me more happiness is to have Soha in my life and the thought that she is the woman I will go back home to.

Where does your relationship stand today?
Soha: We communicate very well. On days when we’re feeling insecure, vulnerable or possessive, we manage to talk things through. And even when we fight, we talk it out immediately. People ask us when we’re planning to take it to the next level but we don’t need to take this relationship anywhere. We’re already committed to each other. I don’t think more is required.

Kunal: It’s in a beautiful place. We communicate well and trust each other. I think we’re also very used to each other by now. Is infidelity a deal breaker?
Kunal: Yes.

Soha: I’d like to believe that I am someone who can forgive a random fling. If Kunal was to fall in love with someone else and cheat on me then of course it’s a deal breaker. But I feel I could forgive a temporary fling.

How do you deal with insecurities?
Soha: It’s natural to have insecurities but I can’t make his life miserable just because I am feeling insecure about a scene he is doing with another actress. I have to deal with it myself and my only expectation from him would be that he is kind to me.

Kunal: I admit that I am very possessive. She doesn’t admit it, but she is. I am yet to discover how I would deal with insecurity. I do know there is a lot of pain sometimes but you need to deal with it and communicate what you’re feeling.

What makes you jealous?
Soha: If I am in an insecure place, I will be jealous as well. So if Kunal finds a woman attractive and I don’t, I wouldn’t be jealous of him having dinner with her. But if I find a woman attractive and so does Kunal, then him even commenting on her hair drives me up the wall.

Kunal: I am a Gemini so I deal with situations differently. Sometimes even if a common friend holds Soha’s hand, I get jealous. But other days, she can go out for dinner and dancing with someone and I wouldn’t think much about it. So I don’t know actually. I am cool and painful at the same time.

Soha: Over the years, we have slowly understood our relationship’s threshold. I have seen that for some people, it is fine if their partner goes for vacations or parties with another person. We are not that couple. Neither are we the your-ex-can-crash-on-your-couch sort. And it took me a while to adhere to these limits because I used to do things without caring for how he’d feel. But now I understand him.

Are you die-hard romantics?
Kunal: Well, we are definitely not the I-can-do-anything-for-you type romantics. We are a lot more practical than that. And we’re not the let’s-buy-fancy-gifts kind either. Just because I don’t buy her the best diamond doesn’t mean I don’t love her and she knows that.

Soha: All I know is that I wouldn’t give this up for anything in the world. True love is about finding someone who accepts you with your flaws and doesn’t try to change you.

Future plans?
Kunal: We’re in a happy place and don’t want that to change as of now.

Soha: I don’t believe in planning. I live in the moment and when I feel the time is right, Kunal and I will take a step ahead. But right now, I like where the relationship is and don’t want things to change at all.

Movie Review: Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu is perfect watch for lovers

Love has its own twists

Rahul Kapoor (Imran Khan) is a man, or should we say boy, under complete control of his parents. The control is to such an extent that he has to do things like chew food 32 times, even iron his underwear and socks, neckties are knotted by his businessman dad and manners that may put a Victorian British to shame.

On the contrary, and indeed contrary, is Raina Braganza (Kareena Kapoor). Open to the 'n', Raina is everything Rahul is not including having been through half a dozen relationships (Rahul is still a virging at 25).

The two jobless people meet in Las Vegas and one Christmas evening, under the influence of a 'truckload' of booze, get hitched.

Here is where the story begins. The morning after, they agree on getting the darned marriage annulled. The story takes us to India and continues with some drama. The end is what is different and that's what makes the story click.

Debutant director Shakun Batra does a fine job of making a breezy rom-com without succumbing to the trite style of Karan Johar films even when KJo is the co-producer of Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu.

The parents (Ratna Pathak and Boman Irani) give a performance expected of them. As for Imran Khan, it is rather easy for him to portray roles which have a hint of serious expressions in them. Kareena is vivacious, quite similar to her Jab We Met character but much improved.

The film is light-hearted and humourous with a different ending. That was needed because otherwise the story could have been quite predictable. Valentine's Day is here and this film is worth watching for all whether a lover or not.

Amitabh Bachchan’s surgery was a success!

We had reported about Amitabh Bachchan all set to undergo a surgery for abdominal pain on Saturday. Well, the surgery went off well and now the actor is on complete rest at the Seven Hills Hospital in Mumbai.

Abhishek Bachchan confirmed the news on Twitter: “Thank you all for your wishes and prayers. The surgery went off well and dad is now in the room resting.”

A doctor said, “He is very stable… I will not comment on his medical condition, it is his personal thing.

All I can say is that he underwent an abdomen surgery.”

Well, we are not very sure as to how long will Big B take to recover from the surgery.

Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani , officially engaged !

Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani are now engaged. It was a private ceremony that was restricted to only family members and was held at Hema Mailini’s home in Juhu, Mumbai.

Hema Malini told reporters: “We are very happy today for Esha and Bharat. It is a happy moment for all of us. Bharat is a very nice person. It is a private function.”

Esha Deol was super excited. She said, “I am happy and I thank everyone for their blessings.”

In a recent interview Hema Malini was all praise for her would be son in law. She told the Times Of India what she loves most is “The fact that he loves my daughter! But, I also love his simplicity and his lack of inhibitions. He is unfazed about the fact that ours is a Bollywood family. The way he interacts with Dharamji, also speaks volumes about his down-to-earth nature,”

The couple’s wedding date is not yet fixed.

First Look: Housefull 2…

Housefull 2 is an upcoming Bollywood action comedy, directed by Sajid Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. It is the sequel to the 2010 Bollywood commercially successful movie Housefull.

The film stars Akshay Kumar opposite Asin Thottumkal in the lead. It also features Ritesh Deshmukh, Boman Irani, Randhir Kapoor and Chunkey Pandey from the original, whilst new additions include John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez, Zarine Khan, Shazahn Padamsee, Shreyas Talpade and others. It also features veteran actors such as Mithun Chakraborty and Rishi Kapoor in supporting roles.

Malaika Arora Khan features in an item-number song. The music will be composed by Sajid-Wajid.

Aamir’s upcoming film titled ‘Talli’

After his much-acclaimed film 3 Idiots which also turned out to be Indian cinema’s biggest blockbuster, the news was abuzz that the director Rajkumar Hirani will go back to his Munna Bhai days and is thinking of directing the next Munna Bhai film. But as per reports, it’s not Munna Bhai 3, but a film with Aamir Khan that will keep Hirani busy.

So Raju Hirani, as he is popularly called, is reportedly finishing a project called PK which stars Aamir Khan in the lead. As the abbreviation sounds, the film is about a social crusader who remains sloshed. The character is shown in a tipsy state throughout the film, and Aamir Khan, considering how perfect he is, has not hit the bottle (as he doesn’t drink), but has started getting a hang of slurring and stumbling that is needed to play a drunken hero.

But both the director and the actor are now not so pleased with the movie’s title PK. The title sounded “ambiguous” to them, and wasn’t able to convey what the film was all about. So both Hirani and Aamir decided that the title should be changed for good and thought of renaming it ‘Talli’.

However, to name their film Talli is not easy. The problem with changing the title is that the rights of the title Talli lies with the filmmaker Ken Ghosh and it depends on him whether he is willing to part with it.

When Ken Ghosh was asked about it, he only said, Hirani just has to ask for it. It’s also not known whether Talli will release before Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3 or after it.

Meanwhile, Hirani’s associate and writer Abhijat Joshi will take forward the Munna Bhai franchise with Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi.

Is Deepika Padukone replaces Katrina Kaif

Bollywood star Deepika Padukone will romance Tamil superstar Rajinikanth in his upcoming flick ‘Kochadaiyaan,’.

“Deepika Padukone has been confirmed as heroine in Kochadaiyaan,” film unit sources said.

Padukone had been earlier cast opposite Rajnikanth in his ‘Rana,’ since suspended after he fell sick on the first day of the film’s sets last year.

However, the superstar’s younger daughter Soundarya gave his die-hard fans, who had performed special poojas and prayers for his recovery from a reported kidney ailment, cause for cheer by announcing she would direct her father in ‘Kochadaiyaan,’ believed to be a period flick.

The movie has already garnered attention with its first look, a still with Rajnikanth sporting six-pack, beard and a yogi-like hairdo, setting off anticipation about the movie among cine-buffs.

The star cast of ‘Kochadaiyaan,’ which will be a hi-tech 3D film, reportedly includes Bollywood star Jackie Shroff, another top Tamil star R Sarath Kumar and many others.

`Aashiqui 2` about Mahesh Bhatt`s first love

Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, who is all set to make the sequel to his 1990 hit musical ‘Aashiqui’, says the film was autobiographical as it was based on the story of his first love.

“The best kept secret about Aashiqui is that it is also an autobiographical film, as it deals with the story of my very first love,” Bhatt tweeted today.

‘Aashiqui’, directed by Mahesh Bhatt and produced by Gulshan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt, starred Anu Agarwal and Rahul Roy. The film was a commercial success and its songs became hugely popular.

Bhatt also revealed that the sequel to the film is the result of a dream he and record company owner Gulshan Kumar had seen years ago.

“’Make me a musical love story and I promise you that the movie will remain in the hearts of every Indian for decades to come..’ he (Gulshan) said.

“21 yrs later, Bhushan Kumar and Mohit Suri have come together to dream the same dream that we did twenty one years ago,” Bhatt added.

“Aashiqui 2 will dare to rise up to the expectations ignited by this ageless musical and continue the legacy...”

Bebo agrees to do lovemaking scene with Arjun

Kareena Kapoor squirms at the thought of doing a bed scene with any of her co-stars, save for Saif Ali Khan for obvious reasons. But now, she has made another exception for the handsome hunk Arjun Rampal.

Thanks to the persuasive skills of director Madhur Bhandarkar, Kareena has given her nod to a lovemaking scene with Rampal in the movie Heroine. Initially, Kareena Kapoor wasn’t game for the bed scene that has her character, an actress, downing a few drinks and ending up in bed with Arjun Rampal.

However, upon assurance by Bhandarkar that the scene would be shot aesthetically and the insistence that it’s integral to the plot, Kareena Kapoor changed her mind and has reportedly agreed to slip between the sheets with Rampal with whom she previously acted in We Are Family.

The lovemaking scene will be shot on March 20 at a five-star hotel in Mumbai, reports say. Only a few selected crewmembers will take part in the shoot and the word is that they too will be gagged by a ‘Confidentiality Contract’ to keep the hot scene under the wraps until the film’s release.

Well, that will surely spur the fans’ curiosity.

It’s here! The much-anticipated video of Sachin Tendulkar’s anthem by the Kolaveri Di singer Dhanush is out!

And Dhanush, whose Kolaveri Di was a rage online, has again chosen the online route to spread the song. He wrote on Twitter: “THE SACHIN song officially out 4m today! Here s d link:) let's sing along-u. A humble attempt from a simple fan.god bless”

Well, speaking about the audio of this song, the anthem is a desi one, with a touch of Kolaveri Di clearly noticeable; super mamma is back in this song too! And with the song starting with the lyrics ‘One plus one-u, two-u, two-u, if not Sachin who-u, who-u’, Dhanush has tried to recreate the same magic his ‘cow-u cow-u holy cow-u’ did, with the ‘- u’ factor (if you may call it so) coming into play again!

The video of the song is also just about okay! Seeing people whistling in our Indian style, I just couldn’t help remembering the Chennai Super Kings anthem titled Whistle Podu.

Anyhow, the first comments to this video on YouTube have not been too encouraging! Time will tell if this indeed is a ‘flop song’ or a rage like ‘Kolaveri Di’!

Box office update: 'Agneepath' enters Rs. 100 crore Mark

The Agneepath rage continues to pull in crowds at theatres as the film entered the feted Rs. 100 crore club in its second weekend at box office.

It took Agneepath, starring Hrithik Roshan in the lead, eleven days to make an entry into the billion club. After raking in a formidable Rs. 92 crore in its first-week run at theatres, the movie added another Rs. 15.50 crores to its kitty to take the aggregate to Rs. 107. 50 crore.

The film has done well overseas also, grossing an estimated Rs. 22 crore in 8 days.

Ever since its release on January 26, Agneepath has gone uncontested at box office, with no major release. Gali Gali Chor Hai released on Friday was a damp squib with a mere 10 percent response at theatres.

Interestingly, there are only nine films so far that have entered the Rs. 100 crore club. Agneepath is Hrithik Roshan’s first film in the league. Ironically, the original movie, starring Amitabh Bachchan in the lead, was a flop. It was produced by Karan Johar’s dad Yash Johar.

Deepika Padukone back with ex-flame Nihar Pandya ?

Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone's romance with liquor baron Vijay Mallya's son Sidhartha Mallya seems to be over. Speculations have been rife about the couple's break up for some time now, but incidentally it was Deepika who herself spilled the beans via her Blackberry status message.

According to a report, Deepika had written Game over as her BBM status a few days back. Not only this, the sultry actor also changed her pretty display picture to a black patch.

This fuelled speculaion that all was over between the couple. Since they never confirmed their hook up, guess they will keep shut about the break up as well.

Now, rumors are rife that she is back with her beau number one- Nihar Pandya. The recent reports say that Deepika is getting comfort in the presence of her ex-flame Nihar. The model was linked with Deepika during her modelling days.
