We saw Here Come the Mummies last night and they just killed it. A great show, pure entertainment - dancing on stage and off! One of the tightest live bands I’ve ever seen. They even have their own dance called the “Funk Shui”. You really can’t go wrong if you decide to see them live. The lyrics are a bit lude, sexually themed, but the music is amazing and you may not even notice how raunchy it can be because you’re too busy having an awesome time. Notable songs: “Bump”, “Carnal Carnival” (title track to their new album), “Freak Flag”, “Dirty Minds”, “Creepin” and “Libido Knievel”. Video and more photos after the jump.

Friday night I went to Coney Island with my friend Emily for the Creepshow. It was totally fun and a refreshing take on a haunted house. The story revolved around the newly retired Ride Inspector, who apparently had been boozing all night. As audience members “followed him” home they listened to audio tapes recounting various ride accident reports. Scary and entertaining!

Starving artist, from Australia, tries to pay bills with spider drawing. It’s outstandingly funny how the utility company representative engages the customer and goes as far as to “return” his drawings via email.
