romance novelist, Maddie James, trips between contemporary, historical, and
paranormal worlds, as she pens stories within, and frequently crossing, a
variety of romantic genres. With over three dozen published titles, written
under two (and soon three) pen names, she feels fortunate to work with some of
the quirkiest characters around—those in her head, and in her life. She lives
with her muses—who most days manifest themselves as four-legged furry
creatures—and often laments that her cats have become her children, and she has
become her mother. Que sera, sera.
by Grace Greene

Beth Kincaid left her hot
temper and unhappy childhood behind and created a life in the city free from
untidy emotionalism, but even a tidy life has danger, especially when it falls
apart.

In the midst of her
personal disasters, Beth is called back to her hometown of Preston, a small
town in southwestern Virginia, to settle her guardian’s estate. There, she runs
smack into the mess she’d left behind a decade earlier: her alcoholic father, the
long-ago sweetheart, Michael, and the poor opinion of almost everyone in town.
As she sorts through her guardian’s possessions, Beth discovers that the woman
who saved her and raised her had secrets, and the truths revealed begin to chip
away at her self-imposed control.

Michael is warmly
attentive and Stephen, her ex-fiancé, follows her to Preston to win her back,
but it is the man she doesn’t know who could forever end Beth’s chance to build
a better, truer life.
by Margaret Ethridge

Tom Sullivan wants a woman who is willing to accept
him as he is. The successful divorce attorney has seen enough of the flip side
of love to know better than to promise forever. Women have tried to pin him down,
but none have managed to make it stick.

Until Maggie McCann.

Maggie is only interested in one thing. Her
fortieth birthday is looming and the tick-tock-tick-tock
in her head means her biological clock is about to strike midnight on her
dreams of finding Prince Charming. Armed with a new plan for her happily ever,
she foregoes the Fairy Godmother routine and makes an appointment with a
fertility clinic for a rendezvous with a sperm donor.

The last thing Maggie needs is to get mixed up with
a player like Tom Sullivan.

A chance encounter and the opportunity to scratch a
decade-long itch prove irresistible, and what starts as a one-night stand turns
into a game of cat and mouse when Tom learns of Maggie’s plan to start a family
on her own.

To Maggie, messing with a player like Tom Sullivan
is the single-girl equivalent of playing with fire, but she convinces herself
to take what she can get for as long as she can and expect nothing more. But
Tom falls hard and fast for Maggie, and now that they’re planning to have a
baby together he starts banking on his own a happily ever after.

If only he can get her to commit…
by Lynna Banning

Journal of Leora Marie Banning, 1910-1913

Eighteen-year-old schoolteacher and new bride Leora Maria Banning sails to South America in 1910 to join her husband’s family on their cattle ranch. Far from civilization on the plains of Argentina, Marie struggles to adjust to the rough life of the Pampas, to be accepted for herself, and to realize what loving her husband demands. She learns to make ostrich egg omelets for breakfast, converse in Spanish with the gauchos, and wear “bombaches,” the baggy, calf-length pants worn by the Argentine cowhands. She records her adventures through photographs taken with her simple Kodak box camera.

Then, camped a thousand miles from Buenos Aires, Marie discovers she is pregnant. The battle to save herself and her child challenges everything she believes in.

This memoir is based on stories and remembrances of the Argentine which Marie related to her granddaughter, the author, while she was growing up. *The photographs included are those Marie took during her Argentine honeymoon.

*Publisher Note: Photographs are included in trade paperback print version only, and not in digital/ebook versions.
A Merworld Fantasy by J.W. Keleher

A story. Yeah. Sure. A story and more.

Douglas didn’t ask for much. He’d traveled to these islands off Scotland to investigate the property he’d inherited from his grandfather.

The locals called the property’s sealed cave Beul Nam Beinn—Mouth in the Hill. Douglas was curious.

Look inside? Why not?

The mouth, sealed long ago for reason unknown, reopened had a story to tell. A family story. A story of Douglas’s ancestry. He had broken a seal and opened himself in the process. To his ancestors. To the cave. To the sea. To dreams and nightmares and understanding.

Beul Nam Bienn. Douglas changed. So will you.

Author Bio: J. W. Keleher admits the past year has been tough. Besides visiting the Sarengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Olduvai Gorge, and Zanzibar, he became terribly sick and had an extended period of unemployment (you could say one side of his toast was burnt while the other glowed with the essence of toastness). He imagined his life progressing differently.

Currently he lives in a house with two spare bedrooms (he keeps trying to rent one out, but it just doesn’t ever seem to work) and a thermostat that never goes much above sixty. His experiment of growing lettuce in the kitchen has failed. He enjoys visits from the neighborhood cat and movie nights.

He has two extended problems he’d like to resolve (well, maybe more than two but let’s just focus on two for now). He’d like to find a place to call home (you know where he could hang a hammock to swing in for the rest of his days) and he wishes he had the money to fly to Nancy, France for an extended period (if he did have the money to fly to Nancy, France and found he liked it, maybe it would become his home; this could be like hitting two bird with one stone…except, of course, birds are smaller).

He has often wondered why anyone would want to think inside of a box. He prefers to think in thrift stores, junk shops, old forests, and near the sea. He is a writer, teacher, archaeologist, and artist. by Christina Wolfer

Abandoned by her mother at birth, social worker Katie Delynski believes love and relationships are learned—and she hasn’t learned anything good about either. She avoids both love and relationships by focusing on her career and by getting prostitutes off the street. But when a man she’s never met commits suicide and names her as his daughter, leaving her millions of dollars and a family full of new relatives, things change. Her new family invites her into their lives, stirring a sense of belonging she is afraid to believe in.

Determined to put her windfall to good use, Katie buys an old building for a women’s shelter. Her newfound family puts her in touch with Conner Patterson, a family friend, to help rehab the building. As work progresses, Katie finds herself falling in love with Conner, but fear keeps her from acting on her feelings. It soon becomes apparent, though, that Conner may be her only hope for survival, when someone hurt by her father’s past indiscretions is determined to make Katie pay for her father’s sins.
Author Bio: The first Compiled Writings by Christina were gathered and stapled together when I was ten years old. Those terribly written, yet funny to read, short stories often held some resemblance to my life growing up on a 39 acre farm in Williamsburg, OH, a small town east of Cincinnati. There were horses, cows, pigs, dogs, cats—okay, a zoo—which included three older brothers.

I left this wonderful life behind at eighteen to pursue a degree in Journalism and then a career in Marketing. After ten years of living in the city, I moved back to Williamsburg and bought those same 39 acres I grew up on. I eventually married my best friend, Jack, and allowed him and his son to move in with me, my two dogs and two horses. Since then, we’ve added another horse and built our dream home, a log cabin.

The desire to write and become publishing was never far from my mind. It pushed at me until I could no longer ignore the stories running through my head.

Then one day, sitting in an airport on my way home from a business trip, I wrote the first chapter of Two Brothers. Once that first book was written, well, then I had to figure out what to do with it. I joined Romance Writers of America, as well as my local chapter, which eventually led me to Turquoise Morning Press and the release of my first book.

Like any good story, my journey has just begun and the ending is yet to be written.
South Arkansas on a farm surrounded by family, horses, cows, donkeys,

twenty-two. She doesn’t recall the fantastic sex tip that drew her to the
magazine, but she vividly remembers reading an excerpt of Christina’s Skye’s Code
Name: Princess. One elevator scene and quick thought of, I didn’t know
people wrote stuff like this… and her life would never be the same.

by Suzanne Barrett

Justine Farris would do anything for her dotty old aunt, but marrying Declan Walsh seems just plain crazy. Although the handsome handyman might be sent back to Ireland unless they pretend to tie the knot, how can Justine possibly say “I do” when they can’t agree on anything.

Declan would never have proposed to an independent, unconventional woman like Justine, but this is an emergency. Then, suddenly, he begins to wish that his temporary fiancée could stay in his arms forever. And where there’s a will, there’s a way….

Every time Dixie Honaker feels that a ride on the love boat with her elegant, silver-haired neighbor Walter may be about to happen, Banger, her rude but good-hearted mutt, does something to splash cold water all over them.

Despite Banger’s helping to rescue Walter after he is mugged, the man still finds the dog a little too grungy for his taste. He feels the same about Dixie’s lovable, wild-ass son, with his pregnant girlfriend and druggie pal. But never fear, Dixie eventually nails down the truth about who mugged Walter and helps everyone else work out their problems—everyone but Banger, that is, who ends up in court on Halloween Day and needs a special dispensation of justice from the unlikeliest of sources.

About Mary O'Dell
Appalachian born and raised, Mary O'Dell, poet with a crotchety black cat and an ageless heart, would live in a treehouse but there's not one big enough for all her books. Besides, at her age it would be a foolhardy venture. Instead, she allows that heart out on a regular basis to perch (sometimes warily) on her sleeve. The cat sleeps safe and sound on her chest at night. Mary is founder and president of Green River Writers, Inc., which offers retreat and critiquing sessions year-round. Her mentoring series in poetry and memoir happen in cafes and coffee shops in and around Louisville, Kentucky. Mary has several poetry collections to her credit, among them Poems for the Man Who Weighs Light and Living in the Body from Mellen Poetry Press, and The Dangerous Man by Finishing Line Press. Mary is at work on a new novel, a family saga and love story that takes place in the West Virginia coalfields in the thirties and forties.

This Magic Moment by Daryn Cross

Zack Graham, CEO of Scrumbles Snack Cakes and Crandall Drake, CEO of Pretzelcious Pretzels are workaholics. Mike Kramer and Gretta Fishman, who work for each CEO respectively, are not. What’s worse, Mike and Gretta are lovers who can’t spend time with each other due to their bosses’ OCD work habits. Release: December 3, 2011
Category: Romance, Contemporary, Paranormal
Heat Level: Sizzle Romance
Length: 85,800 words, Novel

Price: $3.99 Digital ebook; $13.99 Trade Paperback

Leif Dæganssen, an archeologist from Norway, is determined to trace back his Scandinavian roots as far as the Dark Ages and find proof of their existence on the Emerald Isle. After several years of living off the west coast of Ireland, he finally uncovers an ancient artifact—an intricately decorated chest with pagan carvings—buried beneath the very porch of his coastal cottage. Knowing it only confirms the presence of a glorified Norse-influenced settlement on Inis Mór, he’s determined to establish a link between himself and those who once inhabited the rugged isle.

For as long as she can remember, Lorraine O’Connor has had dreams of a Norse warrior kissing her. And even though she’s never fully understood the reason for her vivid subconscious imagination, she welcomes the meaningless and wanton pleasure of being in a Viking’s protective embrace—until the day she meets that brazen Northman on an impulsive vacation trip to Ireland.

Though blindsided by the relevance of her dreams and the strange familiarity of the man within them, Lorraine can’t help but feel a deep-seated intimacy toward Leif. And the more she gets to know him, the more she’s convinced they’ve shared a life together in a time long forgotten.

Are the clues to their ancestral past hidden within the contents of the chest or buried deep within their hearts?

Author Bio: Renee Vincent holds a passionate interest in Irish and Norse history. She lives in the rolling hills of Kentucky with her husband and two children on a beautiful secluded farm of horses and hay fields.

When not writing, she spends her time on the back of a horse, whether with her family or with friends, and thinks there is nothing like the feel of sunlight on your face, the wind in your hair, and the power of the animal beneath you. Seeing the world from a saddle, she says, is by far the best view and the best therapy for a heavy heart or a troubled mind.

She is a sucker for a good cup of coffee (lots of cream and sugar...and whipped cream if she can get her hands on it), great conversation, and a lilting Irish accent. She love to read and can't resist watching great epic historical movies. Visit Renee’s Web site, www.reneevincent.com
by Amie Denman

There’s no better place for a bachelorette party than Key West, Florida. Jackie and her accountant friends call in sick and escape wintry Chicago to celebrate in the sunshine, but an unexpected twist breaks up the party. On her own for a weekend in America’s least inhibited city, Jackie meets a man who makes her heart do a tropical dance. Mitchell is handsome, charming, and knows just where to touch her. If he looks a little familiar, the thought is quickly lost on the hot sands.

Mitchell finds Jackie equally irresistible as he romances her on Blue Bottle Beach, but he has no idea she should be in her cubicle in Chicago balancing the sheets for one of his many companies. What will happen when Mitchell and Jackie eventually look past their attraction to discover he’s her boss? Will a hot weekend in Key West still sizzle in wintry Chicago at the corporate Christmas party?
Reincarnated over the centuries. Stuck with a ditzy Marilyn Monroe lookalike. Falling for a rich albino guy. It’s just Ruby’s luck for Hell’s “real” angels to ride into this life and screw it all up.

Ruby, the White King, and Marilyn Monroe is a well-written, intriguing book. It keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next. Over the past ten years, I’ve read hundreds of books, my favorite authors being some of the big names, but I must say I've just added a new author to my NY author list: F.L. Bicknell. Ruby, the White King, and Marilyn Monroe will have you laughing, crying, and yelling. I read this story in one sitting because I couldn't put it down! I can't wait to see if there will be a book two!
But lately he finds life doesn’t offer the fulfillment he craves. Something is lacking. When he meets Amy, he has an overwhelming desire to protect her, which is exactly the thing Amy has been escaping. Can the two set aside their differences and make room for love?
Margaret Palmer returns to Climax, Virginia, a deceptively quiet country town where Southern charm hides long-buried secrets and evil lurks just beneath the surface of the daily routine. Frustrated and frightened, Margaret knows she will have to face Blue Moon, the only true love she ever had, and his adopted daughter, Carolina. More alarmingly, she may be forced to reveal a long-hidden secret—she’s Carolina’s biological mother. But, will her disclosure no longer matter when a psychotic serial killer eliminating residents, spirals out of control, determined that Blue will be his last victim?
Author Bio: Gabriel Madison started writing when he was in high school, mostly short stories and poetry, and then developed a passion for screenplays. He attended a private art University in Atlanta, Georgia for Media Production. There he studied script writing and film making. He wrote a few screenplays, and made a few short movies, including a twelve-minute vampire movie he adapted from a short story called Midnight Diner. After leaving school, his passion shifted mainly towards writing stories, rather than shooting and directing them. He writes short stories, novellas, screenplays, graphic novels and full-length novels. He was once asked to define himself: he answered... ‘storyteller.’ You can find Gabriel online at http://gabrielmadison.blogspot.com/

New from Judy Alter -- Skeleton in a Dead Space, a cozy mystery

Skeleton in a Dead Space
Kelly O'Connell never thought real estate was a dangerous profession, until she stumbled over a skeleton in a dead space in an early-twentieth-century Craftsman house she was transforming into coveted modern home in an older urban neighborhood. From that moment, she runs into teen-age gang members, a manipulative ex-husband, a needy and single pregnant friend, a cold-blooded murderer, and a policeman who wants to be more than her protector. As free-spirited as the chocolate-peanut-jalapeño candy she craves, Kelly barges through life trying to keep from angering her policeman-boyfriend, protect her two young daughters, pacify her worried mother a thousand miles away, and keep her real estate business afloat. Too often she puts herself in danger, and sometimes its the girls, not Mike, who come to Kelly’s rescue.

Now available - debut women's fiction novel by Sylvia May

The Unraveling of Abby Settel
