How to test your computer hardware failure

-First of all i want you to test and exhaust all software troubles before you move on hardware testing failures. Testing your hardware can be real pain if you don't know how it manifest itself and where to look at first place. I will show you how can you determine which piece of hardware causes you errors.
-So here we go one by one:

-Hard drive failure (HDD)

All errors which include moving, copying, reading, deleting or OS is unable to boot are main HDD problems. Also if your computer start to loop in circles can point you at HDD failure as well. First of all you need to use software to test your hard drive because some of this errors can be caused by another piece of hardware so you need to eliminate hard drive at first place. Use any of these software: HDD health, Test disk, Scandisk etc.
I personaly encountered one weird situation where HDD was bad, it boot slow and can only acces bios after 10 minutes and when in bios every move have a delay of few seconds. I replaced HDD and my problem was gone. At first i tought it was bios failure so i tried changing cmos baterry and flash bios which didn't gave me any results in process. I replaced HDD followed with new OS and everything worked like a charm.

-Memory failure (RAM)

Here is a list of errors you can get with bad memory chips: random reboots, pc does not boot at all, installation failures, blank screen, fatal (errors, exceptions and messages). If you suspect that your memory is damaged by any means you should check are they stay correctly in RAM slot and if there are more then one you should pull out one by one and eliminate damaged RAM. Also in some cases you can encounter our old friend called "Blue screen of death".

-Motherboard and CPU failure

This is worst scenario you can get in computer world and in most cases it ends up with changing completly your motherboard. There is numerous number of errors you can get when this issue happens and i will count few of them: pc does not boot, loophole, beeping sound, blue screen, several error messages after sucessefull boot and so on. You can use some software to test your motherboard but that's only case if you succede to boot your OS. Hot CPU tester is best tool to do such research.

My personal advice (use only if you are really sure all other options fails because this can cause irreversible damage) is direct heating of motherboard bridges (use hair dryer). Direct your heat source to GPU for about 60 seconds in circular motion and avoid by any means heating plastic parts or RAM slots! Of course you need to remove memory modules first and motherboard must be pulled out of computer. Again i warning you do this only if you think this is your last option and your motherboard doesn't have guarantee list for repair.

-Power supply failure

Here we have few situations you need to consider before you diagnose power supply failure. Power supply can be damaged by higher force (thunder and other high voltage strikes). Best thing you can do is to change your power source and keep going. Keep in mind that all other components of your computer are conected to your power source and they can also be damaged if you try to do some kind of tests on it. It's best that you only change power source supply to prevent more damge to your pc including the motherboard (check post above) which is worst scenario that could happen. There is no such software to test your power source integrity but if it still works you can use program who can monitor the voltage and power supplies to the fans. If you are not experienced with such hardware problems leave it to experts and they will do it for u.

Second problem can occur when you buying new complete pc configuration. As you already know every component of your pc use some power in order to work properly and here is great site where you can summerize your power supply usage for each of the components. If your power supply is not strong enough to supply all the components equally it will reboot as soon as you turn it on or it will not start at all, so it's very important that you calculate perfectly.

-CD-ROM and DVD drive failure

Before we begin with testing you need to make sure multiple disks nit working in the drive and by multiple i mean CD or DVD of the same kind. If DVD works fine and CD causing you problems then your drive is ok and problem is in the disk itself.

Your disk drive is damaged if you see errors like this: CD or DVD reading error, can't play any media files (audio, video etc), error when installing something from disks etc.
There is programs made for testing such problems and also there is CD or DVD cleaner if drive lens is dirty. CDRoller can be helpfull and also you can recover some lost files on damaged disk. And CDCheck is also nice software where you can recover lost files, and it's known for it's stability, ease of use and good support as well.

3. Open Odin (download it here)
4. Switch off the phone and wait.

How to jailbreak any iOS 6 device, including iPhone 5

Before you start, make sure you have a current backup of your iOS device. You can back up through iTunes or use iCloud. The choice is yours. This is a crucial step to ensure you don't lose important data should something go wrong and you have to restore.
If you use a passcode on your iOS device, the evasi0n team suggests disabling it before you being the jailbreak process; apparently it can cause issues. You can disable your passcode in Settings > General > Passcode Lock.

Now that you have backed up your device and disabled your passcode, download evasi0n on your computer. There are versions for Windows, Mac, and Linux users.

Run the program. OS X users may have to bypass the Gatekeeper feature in OS X 10.8 by right-clicking the app icon and selecting "Open."

Connect your iOS device to your computer, and click the Jailbreak button. Your device will light up, restart, and do all sorts of random things during the process. Just leave it plugged in and wait for the next instruction in the app window.

After a few minutes and a reboot or two, you'll be asked to unlock it and tap the "Jailbreak" icon. As the instructions say, only tap it once. Your iOS device screen will flash and then the evasi0n app on your computer will continue.

A few seconds later, you'll see a notification that the jailbreak has finished. While that may be true for the app, your iOS device will reboot a few times while the process finishes. You'll know it's truly finished when you see your lock screen and wallpaper. You should then have a Cydia icon on your home screen, confirming that the jailbreak was successful.

How to Setup Windows 7 or Windows 8 from USB drive

Step1: Create Bootable USB Drive:

Start PowerISO
Insert the USB drive you intend to boot from.
Choose the menu "Tools > Create Bootable USB Drive". The "Create Bootable USB Drive" dialog will popup. If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7 / 8 operating system, you need confirm the UAC dialog to continue.
In "Create Bootable USB Drive" dialog, click "..." button to open the iso file of Windows 7 or Windows 8.

Select the correct USB drive from the "Destination USB Drive" list if multiple USB drives are connected to the computer.

Choose the proper writing method. "USB-HDD" is recommended.

Click "Start" button to start creating windows 7 / 8 bootable USB drive.

If no errors occurred in the above process, you should now be all set to setup Windows 7 / 8 from USB drive!

Step 2: Configuring the BIOS:

You should now reboot and go into the BIOS configuration to boot from USB. Instructions for doing so wildly from system to system, but generally entail the following:

Reboot the system.
While booting (before Windows starts loading), get into the BIOS configuration screen by hitting something like F1, F2, Delete or Escape. Hotkey instructions are generally provided on the screen.
Go to the section that contains your boot devices.
With your USB drive plugged in, the USB drive should be listed. If it isn’t, your system might not support booting from USB. Assuming that it is supported (as is the case with virtually all modern hardware), promote your USB drive to the primary boot device.
Exit from the BIOS configuration, saving all changes.

If you’re completely new to BIOS configuration, over at Tom’s Hardware might be a good primer. Be aware though, that you can seriously screw up your system by providing incorrect settings!

Step 3: Booting and setup windows 7 / Windows 8 from USB drive:

Assuming that you properly configured your BIOS and your USB drive supports booting, Windows 7 / 8 setup should now load. Depending on the speed of your USB drive, this may take a while.

If it isn’t working, then double-check the following before making a scene:

Is your BIOS properly configured for booting from the USB device? (Is the USB device listed and does it have top priority?)
Have you correctly prepared the USB drive in step one? (Restart the procedure.)
Does your USB drive properly support being booted from? (Try another one!)

-If you use a desktop computer, you might already know that there isn't any single part called the "computer." A computer is really a system of many parts working together. The physical parts, which you can see and touch, are collectively called hardware. (Software, on the other hand, refers to the instructions, or programs, that tell the hardware what to do.)

Illustration bellow shows the most common hardware in a desktop computer system.

System unit

The system unit is the core of a computer system. Usually it's a rectangular box placed on or underneath your desk. Inside this box are many electronic components that process information. The most important of these components is the central processing unit (CPU), or microprocessor, which acts as the "brain" of your computer. Another component is random access memory (RAM), which temporarily stores information that the CPU uses while the computer is on. The information stored in RAM is erased when the computer is turned off.

Storage

Your computer has one or more disk drives—devices that store information on a metal or plastic disk. The disk preserves the information even when your computer is turned off.

Hard disk drive

Your computer's hard disk drive stores information on a hard disk, a rigid platter or stack of platters with a magnetic surface. Because hard disks can hold massive amounts of information, they usually serve as your computer's primary means of storage, holding almost all of your programs and files. The hard disk drive is normally located inside the system unit.

CD and DVD drives

Nearly all computers today come equipped with a CD or DVD drive, usually located on the front of the system unit. CD drives use lasers to read (retrieve) data from a CD, and many CD drives can also write (record) data onto CDs. If you have a recordable disk drive, you can store copies of your files on blank CDs. You can also use a CD drive to play music CDs on your computer.

Floppy disk drive

Floppy disk drives store information on floppy disks, also called floppies or diskettes. Compared to CDs and DVDs, floppy disks can store only a small amount of data. They also retrieve information more slowly and are more prone to damage. For these reasons, floppy disk drives are less popular than they used to be, although some computers still include them.

Mouse

A mouse is a small device used to point to and select items on your computer screen. Although mice come in many shapes, the typical mouse does look a bit like an actual mouse. It's small, oblong, and connected to the system unit by a long wire that resembles a tail. Some newer mice are wireless.

Keyboard

A keyboard is used mainly for typing text into your computer. Like the keyboard on a typewriter, it has keys for letters and numbers, but it also has special keys:

The function keys, found on the top row, perform different functions depending on where they are used.
The numeric keypad, located on the right side of most keyboards, allows you to enter numbers quickly.
The navigation keys, such as the arrow keys, allow you to move your position within a document or webpage.

Monitor

A monitor displays information in visual form, using text and graphics. The portion of the monitor that displays the information is called the screen. Like a television screen, a computer screen can show still or moving pictures.

There are two basic types of monitors: CRT (cathode ray tube) monitors and LCD (liquid crystal display) monitors. Both types produce sharp images, but LCD monitors have the advantage of being much thinner and lighter. CRT monitors, however, are generally more affordable.

Printer

A printer transfers data from a computer onto paper. You don't need a printer to use your computer, but having one allows you to print e‑mail, cards, invitations, announcements, and other materials. Many people also like being able to print their own photos at home.

The two main types of printers are inkjet printers and laser printers. Inkjet printers are the most popular printers for the home. They can print in black and white or in full color and can produce high-quality photographs when used with special paper. Laser printers are faster and generally better able to handle heavy use.

Speakers

Speakers are used to play sound. They may be built into the system unit or connected with cables. Speakers allow you to listen to music and hear sound effects from your computer.

Modem

To connect your computer to the Internet, you need a modem. A modem is a device that sends and receives computer information over a telephone line or high-speed cable. Modems are sometimes built into the system unit, but higher-speed modems are usually separate components.

Keep Your Computer Physically Clean

-When dealing with computers, dust isn't just unattractive; it can potentially destroy parts of your computer. By cleaning your computer regularly, you can help to keep it working properly and avoid expensive repairs.

Cleaning the Keyboard

-A dirty keyboard doesn't look nice, and can cause your keyboard to not work properly. Dust, food, liquid, or other particles can get stuck underneath the keys, which can cause them not to work. Check your owner's manual to see if the manufacturer has provided you with instructions for your specific keyboard. If so, you should follow them. If not, the following steps are basic cleaning tips that will help you keep your keyboard clean:

Unplug the keyboard from the USB or PS/2 port. If the keyboard is plugged into the PS/2 port, you will need to shut down the computer before unplugging it.
Turn the keyboard upside down and gently shake it to remove dirt and dust.
Use a can of compressed air to clean between the keys.
Moisten a cotton cloth or paper towel with rubbing alcohol, and use it to clean the tops of the keys. Do not pour alcohol (or any other liquid) directly onto the keys.
Reconnect the keyboard to the computer once it is dry. If you are connecting it to a PS/2 port, you will need to connect it before turning the computer on.

Dealing with Liquids

If you spill liquid on the keyboard, quickly shut down the computer, and disconnect and turn the keyboard upside down to allow the liquid to drain.

If the liquid is sticky, you will need to hold the keyboard on its side under running water to rinse the sticky liquid away. Then, turn the keyboard upside down to drain for two days before reconnecting it. The keyboard may not be repairable at this point, but rinsing the sticky liquid off the keyboard is the only chance for it to be usable again. The best way to avoid this situation is to keep drinks away from the computer area.

Cleaning the Mouse

There are two main types of mice: optical and mechanical. Each is cleaned in basically the same way, although the mechanical mouse requires a bit more work.

Optical mice require no internal cleaning since there aren't any rotating parts; however, they can get sticky over time as dust collects near the light emitter. This can cause erratic cursor movement or prevent the mouse from working.

Mechanical mice are especially susceptible to dust and particles that can accumulate inside the mouse, which can make it difficult to track, or move, properly. If the mouse pointer does not move smoothly, the mouse may need to be cleaned.

Before you clean your mouse, check your owner's manual to see if the manufacturer has provided you with instructions for your specific mouse. If so, you should follow those instructions. If not, the following steps are basic cleaning tips that will help you keep your mouse clean.

Unplug the mouse from the USB or PS/2 port. If the mouse is plugged into the PS/2 port, you will need to shut down the computer before unplugging it.
Moisten a cotton cloth with rubbing alcohol, and use it to clean the top and bottom of the mouse.
If you have a mechanical mouse, remove the tracking ball by turning the ball-cover ring counterclockwise. Then, clean the tracking ball and the inside of the mouse with a cotton cloth moistened with rubbing alcohol.

Let all of the parts dry before reassembling and reconnecting the mouse. If you are connecting it to a PS/2 port, you will need to connect it before turning the computer on.

If you just want to give the mouse a quick cleaning, place it on a clean, white sheet of paper and move the mouse back and forth. Some of the dust and particles should rub off onto the paper.

Cleaning the Monitor

Dirt, finger prints, and dust can make your computer screen difficult to read; however, it's easy to clean your screen when needed. Although there are monitor cleaning kits that you can buy, they may damage your monitor if they are designed for a different type of monitor. For example, a monitor cleaner that is designed for glass screens may not work with some non-glass LCD screens. The safest method is simply to use a soft, clean cloth moistened with water.

Do not use glass cleaner to clean a monitor. Many screens have anti-glare coatings that can be damaged by glass cleaner.

Turn off the computer.
Unplug the monitor from the power. If you are using a laptop, unplug the laptop.
Use a soft, clean cloth moistened with water to wipe the screen clean.
Wiping the screen

Do not spray any liquids directly onto the screen. The liquid could leak into the monitor and damage the internal components.

Tips for Cleaning Other Computer Surfaces

From time to time, you should clean your computer case and the sides and back of the monitor, to avoid buildup of dust and dirt. Here are a few tips you can use when cleaning these surfaces:

Cleaning the computer case

Dust is your computer's main enemy. Use an anti-static wipe to lightly dust your computer casing. Don't use furniture cleaners or strong solvents.
Use a can of compressed air with a narrow nozzle to blow out debris from the air intake slots.
Spray cleaning solution (diluted ammonia cleaner or glass cleaner) on a paper towel or anti-static wipe. Clean the monitor housing and case (not the monitor screen) by wiping in a downward motion.
A safe cleaning solution for computer surfaces (not computer screens) is ammonia diluted with water, or glass cleaner comprised mostly of ammonia and water (check the label). Remember, the milder the solution, the better.

Keep it Cool

Don't restrict the airflow around your computer. A computer can generate a lot of heat, so the casing has fans that keep it from overheating. Avoid stacking papers, books, or other items around your computer.
Many computer desks have an enclosed compartment for the computer case. If you have this type of desk, you may want to position the case so it is not against the back side of the desk. If the compartment has a door, you may want to leave it open to improve the airflow.

Disk Cleanup

To keep your computer running smoothly, it's important to keep the files and folders uncluttered. Cluttered or unorganized folders make it more difficult to find the files you need. Additionally, unwanted files can eventually fill up your hard drive, which will make your computer slower and harder to use. Here are a few things you can do to delete unwanted files and improve your computer's performance:

Delete Files: If you have any unwanted files, you can delete them manually. To do this, simply drag them into the Recycle Bin (or Trash), and then empty the Recycle Bin.
Disk Defragmenter: Windows includes a Disk Defragmenter program in the Control Panel. It scans the files on your hard drive and then rearranges them so that it can read them faster. If your computer is running slowly, running Disk Defragmenter can help to speed it up.
Disk Cleanup: Windows also includes a Disk Cleanup program in the Control Panel. It scans your computer for temporary files and other files that can be deleted. You can then delete the files to free up space on your hard drive.

2- Click on the Appearance and Personalization link.
3- Click on the Folder Options link.
4- Click on the View tab in the Folder Options.
5- In the Advanced settings: area, locate the Hidden files and folders category.
6- Choose the Show hidden files, folders, and drives radio button under the Hidden files and folders category.
7- Click OK at the bottom of the Folder Options window.
8- You will now be able to view all files and folders with the hidden attribute turned on, as well as drives hidden in Windows 7.

Open your router's admin console by typing its standard IP address into your web browser's URL box. For most routers, this will be either 192.168.0.1. or 192.168.1.1. However, if you want to figure out the IP, here's how to do it:

For Windows: Open the command prompt and enter ipconfig /all.
For Mac: Open the command prompt and enter netstat -nr.
For Linux: Open the command prompt and enter route.

Enter your username and password. If you've already configured the security settings for your router, enter the username and password you chose then. If not, here's what to do:

On Linksys routers, type "admin" for both the username and the password.
On Netgear routers, type "admin" for the username and "password" for the password.
On other routers, try leaving the username empty and entering "admin" for the password.

Open the Port Forwarding or Applications and Gaming tab. Each router will be slightly different, but look for these two options. If you don't see them, try Advanced Settings and look for a Port Forwarding subsection.

Enter your application name. For a list of which ports an application might use.

Select the ports you wish to use. If you only want one port open, enter the same number in Start and End. If you wish to open a range of ports (say 5), you might type 3784 in Start and 3788 in End.

Select Both if you're asked to choose between TCP and UDP.

Enter your IP address. Your router might ask for the whole address, or only the last three digits.

Save your settings.

Some routers (such as D-Link's) have a "trigger port" feature that can allow some games to work without changing the IP address. This feature works by monitoring the game's outbound connections and automatically setting up the specific port forwarding rule to the game's IP address. The trigger port feature usually needs to be manually enabled in the router's home page (located at the gateway IP).
Recognize that your computer's IP address and your connection's IP address are different. The two are different because of the NAT security built into your router, which allows multiple computers to use the same connection. The IP of your computer, considered private, often begins with 192.168. The IP of the Internet connection, an external or public address, begins with different numbers. If your computer's IP address is outside the private IP range, it is generally not connected though a router and it is not necessary to port forward.
Look in your router's manual for details on accessing the control panel, and how to set up the forwarder specific to your model.

To open the Command Prompt on Windows Vista or Windows 7, click Start, then type cmd on the Search box and press Enter (For Windows XP users, click Start, Run, type cmd on the popup box and then press enter). To open it on a Mac, click Finder, Applications, Utilities, and Terminal. Every time your router is turned on or off, your computer may be assigned a different IP address. If this happens, go to your routers "webpage" / admin console and change the information in port forwarding. To prevent this, set up a static IP address.
Disable all desktop firewalls if you have problems. The firewalls of Norton Internet Security and similar products can be especially problematic and the Windows Firewall should be used instead.
Find out what ports (TCP or UDP) ports your specific game or software needs. In some cases, both TCP and UDP port numbers will be needed.
- The ports to forward for BitTorrent are TCP ports 881-6889.
- If you are port forwarding PS3 or Xbox 360 games using the manual method, the ports to forward are usually 5223 and/or 3074.

FBI virus. How to handle!

This scam presents about itself for the victim as 'The FBI Federal Bureau Investigation' alert and aggressively claims that computer is blocked because of the Copyright and Related Rights Law violation or other reason.However, if you find yourself blocked by a program, which tells that you have been illegally using or distributing copyrighted content, viewing or distributing pornographic content and spreading malware to other computers, you must ignore such alert first of all and remove FBI virus immediately!
There are many options to remove the FBI virus on your own without the help or a professional.

This infection gets inside the system through security vulnerabilities found when user visits infected websites or downloads infected files.
The biggest issue, which is caused by this ransomware, is that similarly to its earlier versions, it completely blocks its victim's computer, 'locks' it and disables all the programs found there. In order to 'unlock' the system, FBI virus shows its warning and requires to pay the fine through MoneyPak. However, you must have already understood that you must never pay this $100 fine if you don't want to help for the scammers who are collecting these fines.

I collected this informations from several sites but i strongly recommend safe mode with networking at first place and then you can easy download malware removal program (ill recommend Malwarebyte cause it's free and very effective). Or when you are in safe mode try search for virus manually, it will give you some experience for future problems as well. Also system restore is very good option for same problem, you can try that first but it's possible that virus already ruined your chekpoints and it will not work properly.

Manual FBI virus removal (special skills needed!):

Reboot you infected PC to 'Safe mode with command prompt' to disable FBI virus (this should be working with all versions of this threat)
Run Regedit
Search for WinLogon Entries and write down all the files that are not explorer.exe or blank. Replace them with explorer.exe.
Search the registry for these files you have written down and delete the registry keys referencing the files.
Reboot and run a full system scan with updated SpyHunter to remove remaining files.

Backup

You may be installing Windows 7 on a machine that already has an operating system installed. In that case, you will have to consider what to do with existing data on the disk.
You may want to completely wipe the existing data and start clean. Or you may want to incorporate Windows 7 into the existing setup, whether as a side-by-side installation or an upgrade.Whatever you choose, please make sure your files are safely backed up, so that you do not accidentally, irrecoverably overwrite critical data during the installation.

Installation key

Please make sure you have the Windows 7 installation key available. Without it, you will not be able to install the operating system.

Drivers for the computer hardware

There is no guarantee that Windows 7 built-in set of drivers will include your specific hardware. Therefore, please make sure you have the right drivers available before you start the installation. The drivers usually come on CD/DVDs supplied by the manufacturer with newly purchased hardware. Alternatively, you may also download them from official vendor websites.
Having the drivers available will make sure that after you have installed Windows 7, your system will perform to its fullest. If you meet the above three requirements, we are ready to go.

Boot from Windows 7 DVD

The first step is to place your Windows 7 DVD into the DVD tray and boot the machine. Your computer needs to be configured to boot from DVD. This is done via BIOS. On most computers, the BIOS menu can be accessed by pressing either the F2 or Del keys while the machine is booting.

Once you have completed this stage, Windows 7 will start loading. If you see the below image, you're doing well so far.

After a few moments, you will reach the installation menu. Your first step is to choose the language and the keyboard.

You will be now taken to the Install now menu. We have already prepared for the installation, so you can click Install now and proceed.

The next step is to accept the license agreement.

After this, you will have to decide whether you want to Upgrade an existing installation or perform a Custom (advanced) installation, which is basically creating a new copy of Windows.
We will discuss multiple boots in a separate tutorial. For now, if you are interested, you may want to explore a Dual boot tutorial that tackles this issue from the Linux side, with a Linux distribution being installed alongside Windows XP. In the soon-to-come multiple-boot tutorial, I will address the installation of Windows 7 alongside other Windows (XP and 7), as well as Linux.

Personally, I recommend you install a new copy. Fresh installations are always better. Your machine starts in a pristine state and does not rely on old leftovers.

Partitioning

The next step is to choose where you want to install Windows 7. This is probably the most important part of the entire installation, so you need to be very careful here and make the right choices.

We only have a 20GB unallocated space on our disk, so we have no dilemma. However, it is possible that you may have other partitions from previous installations present, or you may have created a custom partitioning setup before starting Windows 7 installation using a third-party partitioning software, like GParted. We will soon this discuss in greater detail. For now, let us create our Windows 7 partitions.
Inexperienced users can simply highlight the unallocated space and click Next. The partitioning layout will be created for them. However, we want to explore additional features. To this end, we need to expand the Drive options (advanced).

You now have the option to create new partitions, format them with a desired filesystem, change the size of existing or newly created partition (Extend), or delete them. The Load Driver function is usually necessary if you want to create more complex setups like RAID, but this is currently beyond the scope of this tutorial.
We will create a new partition. According to official system requirements, Windows 7 needs 16GB of free space. However, you can do with less. The minimum recommended space for a partition where you want to place Windows 7 is 10350MB. Eventually, the installation itself will take approx. 7GB.
Just for your information, here's a snippet of what would happen if you try to install Windows 7 on a partition that does not meet the minimum expected size limit:

This does not mean your installation won't succeed. It might, but why risk it?

Windows 7 installer will now tell you that it will have to create an additional partition for the core system files. This will be a small primary partition ahead of your newly created one.

Important technical bits to pay attention to!

We now have a system partition and a primary partition, plus some free space. In purely technical terms, there is no such thing as a partition of the type system. There are only two types of partitions: primary and logical. The above-mentioned partition is a primary partition.
In total, there can only be up to four primary partitions on any physical disk. Windows 7, by itself, creates and uses at least two primary partitions. If we created another partition in the free space, it would too, become a primary partition.
Some quick math, this means that if we want to have more than two Windows 7 installations side by side, we don't have enough partitions available.

Recommendation:

Use a third-party partitioning tool to create a partition layout beforehand. This will allow you to place Windows 7 files on a logical partition, saving yourself the precious commodity of wasting primary partitions on what is essentially non-system data. We will see this example in a separate tutorial.

If you're using ONLY Windows 7 to create a partition layout on your system, then you should just create a partition with a sufficient size to hold the Windows 7 data files and nothing else. The system partition will be added. Leave the handling of any unpartitioned, free space after the installation.

Begin installation

If you're comfortable with your setup, highlight the created partition and click Next. Windows 7 will be installed to this partition. Depending on your hardware, this can take some time. My testing shows approx. 30-40 minutes.

During the installation, your computer may restart several times. Let it be.

User settings

Eventually, you will be asked to provide your username and a computer name. You will also have to password-protect your account. This is most advisable. You should opt for a strong password.

Activation

The next step is to activate your Windows. Grab your key and type it here.

Updates

You will be asked to configure your updates. You can choose either setting you like. However, I recommend you configure this choice later, after Windows 7 is installed and running properly.
We will discuss this separately in the Windows 7 security tutorial. Therefore, I will choose Ask me later, but you may want to go for either the first or the second option, as you see fit.

Time zone

Configure your time zone:

Location

Your location will determine the firewall settings for your newly installed Windows 7. You have three choices: home, work or public network. Home and work networks are supposed to be trusted, so you should not experience any problems adding other machines to your group or sharing data with them.
However, the public network is meant to be untrusted. So if you have installed Windows 7 in, let's say, Internet cafe, then you should choose the third option.

Adding a Printer from the BC Network

To add a printer from the BC network using Windows Vista (Windows 7 skip to step 4):

Click Start, then select Control Panel.
Click Classic View in the left panel.
Double-click the Printers icon:
Windows 7: Click Start, then select Devices and Printers.
Click Add Printer (see Figure 1).

Windows 8 is the current release of the Windows operating system, produced by Microsoft for use on personal computers, including home and business desktops, laptops, tablets, and home theater PCs. Development of Windows 8 started before the release of its predecessor, Windows 7, in 2009. Its existence was first announced at CES 2011, and followed by the release of three pre-release versions from September 2011 to May 2012. The operating system was released to manufacturing on August 1, 2012, and was released for general availability on October 26, 2012.
Windows 8 introduces significant changes to the operating system's platform, primarily focused towards improving its user experience on mobile devices such as tablets to rival other mobile operating systems like Android and Apple's iOS.Windows 8 introduces a new touch-friendly shell and user interface based on Microsoft's "Metro" design language, featuring a new Start screen with a grid of dynamically updating tiles that represent applications. The Start screen replaces the "Start menu" of earlier Windows versions. There is a new app platform with an emphasis on touchscreen input, and the new Windows Store to obtain and/or purchase applications to run on the operating system.
In addition, Windows 8 takes advantage of new or emerging technologies like USB 3.0, 4Kn Advanced Format, near field communications, cloud computing, and the low-power ARM architecture. It includes new security features such as malware filtering, built-in antivirus capabilities, a new installation process optimized for digital distribution, and support for secure boot (a UEFI feature which allows operating systems to be digitally signed to prevent malware from altering the boot process). Synchronization of certain apps and settings between multiple devices is supported.
Windows 8 was released to mixed reception. Although reaction towards its performance improvements, security enhancements, and improved support for touchscreen devices was positive, the new user interface of the operating system has been widely criticized for being confusing and having a steep learning curve (especially when used with a keyboard and mouse instead of a touchscreen). Despite these shortcomings, 60 million Windows 8 licenses have been sold through January 2013, This includes upgrades and sell in to OEMs for new PCs.

New and changed features

New features and functionality in Windows 8 include a faster startup through UEFI integration and the new "Hybrid Boot" mode (which hibernates the Windows kernel on shutdown to speed up the subsequent boot), a new lock screen with a clock and notifications, and the ability for enterprise users to create live USB versions of Windows (known as Windows To Go). Windows 8 also adds native support for USB 3.0 devices, which allow for faster data transfers and improved power management with compatible devices, and 4Kn Advanced Format support, as well as support for near field communication to facilitate sharing and communication between devices.
Windows Explorer, which has been renamed File Explorer, now includes a ribbon in place of the command bar. File operation dialog boxes have been updated to provide more detailed statistics, the ability to pause file transfers, and improvements in the ability to manage conflicts when copying files. A new "File History" function allows incremental revisions of files to be backed up to and restored from a secondary storage device, while Storage Spaces allows users to combine different sized hard disks into virtual drives and specify mirroring, parity, or no redundancy on a folder-by-folder basis.
Task Manager has also been redesigned, including a new processes tab with the option to display fewer or more details of running applications and background processes, a heat map using different colors indicating the level of resource usage, network and disk counters, grouping by process type (e.g. applications, background processes and Windows processes), friendly names for processes and a new option which allows users to search the web to find information about obscure processes. Additionally, the Blue Screen of Death has been updated with a simpler and modern design with less technical information displayed.

Safety and security

Additional security features in Windows 8 include two new authentication methods tailored towards touchscreens (PINs and picture passwords), the addition of antivirus capabilities to Windows Defender (bringing it in parity with Microsoft's Security Essentials software) SmartScreen filtering integrated into the desktop, and support for the "Secure Boot" functionality on UEFI systems to protect against malware infecting the boot process. Parental controls are offered through the integrated Family Safety software, which allows parents to monitor and control their children's activities on a device with activity reports and safety controls. Windows 8 also provides integrated system recovery through the new "Refresh" and "Reset" functions. Windows 8's first security patches would be released on November 13, 2012; it would contain three critical (most severe as per Microsoft) fixes.

Hardware requirements

PCs

The minimum system requirements for Windows 8 are slightly higher than those of Windows 7. Notably, Windows 8 now requires that a system's CPU support certain hardware features, specifically the PAE, NX bit, and SSE2. Windows Store apps require a screen resolution of 1024×768 or higher to run, while a screen resolution of 1366×768 or higher is required to use the snapping functionality for apps.

Tablets and convertibles

Microsoft released minimum hardware requirements for new tablet and convertible devices designed for Windows 8, and defined a convertible form factor as a standalone device that combines the PC, display and rechargeable power source with a mechanically attached keyboard and pointing device in a single chassis. A convertible can be transformed into a tablet where the attached input devices are hidden or removed leaving the display as the only input mechanism.

POLITICALLY CORRECT VIRUS: Never calls itself a "virus", but instead refers to itself as an "electronic microorganism."
RIGHT TO LIFE VIRUS: Won't allow you to delete a file, regardless of how old it is. If you attempt to erase a file, it requires you to first see a counselor about possible alternatives.
ROSS PEROT VIRUS: Activates every component in your system, just before the whole darn thing quits.
MARIO CUOMO VIRUS: It would be a great virus, but it refuses to run.
TED TURNER VIRUS: Colorizes your monochrome monitor.
ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER VIRUS: Terminates and stays resident. It'll be back.

HEALTH CARE VIRUS: Tests your system for a day, finds nothing wrong, and sends you a bill for $4,500.
GEORGE BUSH VIRUS: It starts by boldly stating, "Read my docs....No new files!" on the screen. It proceeds to fill up all the free space on your hard drive with new files, then blames it on the Congressional Virus.
CLEVELAND INDIANS VIRUS: Makes your 486/50 machine perform like a 286/AT.
LAPD VIRUS: It claims it feels threatened by the other files on your PC and erases them in "self defense".

This is tutorial how to make your embedded YouTube videos autoplay.

-To make it autoplay, just put &autoplay=1 after the video ID so it looks like this:
