Steve Jobs documentary to air on Sunday

Discovery announced on Monday that it will celebrate the contributions of the late Steve Jobs on the one-hour documentary, iGenius: How Steve Jobs Changed the World, on Sunday at 8 p.m.

Hosted by MythBusters’ Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, the program highlights Jobs’ work in bringing personal computing to the masses and how he affected the way we organize information, listen to music, and watch TV, among other accomplishments.

“Someone once said that to follow the path that others have laid before you is a very reasonable course of action, therefore all progress is made by unreasonable men,” says co-host Savage.

“Steve Jobs was an unreasonable man,” he continues. “He didn't simply give the public what they wanted, he defined entirely new ways of thinking about our lives in the digital space: productivity, creativity, music, communication, media and art. He has touched, directly and indirectly, all of our lives.”

The documentary will feature new interviews with former Apple employees and Jobs’ contemporaries in the computing field, journalists, scientists and educators, as well as artists from the fields of music, design and film who saw their work changed by the Apple co-founder’s contributions.

They include NBC’s Tom Brokaw, New York Times’ Joe Nocera, singer Stevie Wonder, Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz, as well as Jobs’ oldest friends, Daniel Kottke, an early Apple employee who spent time with Jobs in India, and engineer John Draper, who gave Jobs his start in the field.

After the world premiere on Sunday night, iGenius: How Steve Jobs Changed the World will also air across Discovery’s international platforms in 210 countries and territories around the world.

Bravo Work of Art season 2

Bravo has been throwing new shows out there left and right. Most of them were misses, but Work of Art was definitely a hit and I'm glad is back for season 2. "Work of Art: The Next Great Artist," returns Wednesday, October 12 at 9 p.m. China Chow returns as host alongside fellow judges Bill Powers and Jerry Saltz.

Surprisingly, a lot of the contestants are from NY and the east coast.

For the first time in franchise history, Bravo Media is bringing Housewives from various cities together on one stage for an exclusive experience as the network presents "The Real Housewives Live Tour." Fans will have the chance to get up-close and personal with their favorite cast members as the ladies discuss the most talked about moments, reveal cast secrets and answer questions straight from the audience. The multi-city tour begins in Atlantic City, NJ on October 1 with additional stops in Chicago, IL on October 8 and Atlanta, GA on October 15. The life of one of the Real Housewives' most talked-about husbands has come to a tragic end.
E! News has confirmed that Russell Armstrong, the recently estranged husband of Beverly Hills' Taylor Armstrong, was found dead in his home Monday night after an apparent suicide.
He was 47 years old.

I randomly stumbled into a show on Animal Planet called Hillbilly Handfishing. OH MY GOD. it's really creepy. There's this thing called "noodling" where you catch catfish using your hands and feet. You don't just catch it, you use your hand or feet as bait. The dudeshoves his hands or feet in underwater holes or caves and waits for a catfish to bite and he catches them.

The Sing Off has a new Judge

NBC's a-capella hit, Sing Off, has a new judge for it's third season. With Nicole Scherzinger gone (she's judging X Factor on Fox), another artist with a so-hard-to-spell last name is taking over. Welcome, Sara Bereilles. She says she's a fan of acapella... she's not as sexy as Nicole but I'm sure she'll do just fine.

The Sing Off premieres on Sept. 19 at 8/7c on NBC.

The late-90s show, Pop Up Video is making a comeback on VH1 after a ten-year break. VH1 ordered 60 new episodes for this fall and the new version will stick to the original format featuring facts appearing in "bubbles" during current music videos. Some new elements are added including viewer polling and user-generated information throughout the show. Pop Up Video originally debuted in 1996 and was on VH1 until 2002.

Project Runway Season 9 to air this fSummer

In the unscripted arena, Lifetime's Emmy nominated hit series Project Runway, 2010's number one competitive reality program on ad-supported cable among Women and Households, will return for its ninth season this summer. Hosted by Heidi Klum, Project Runway provides budding designers with an opportunity to launch their careers in fashion under the watchful eyes of mentor Tim Gunn and judges Michael Kors and Nina Garcia.

Project Runway Season 9 returns Wednesday, July 27 at 9:00ET/8:00CT on Lifetime with 14 hour and a half episodes.

Lauren Alaina is the early oddmakers' favorite to win the support of home viewers and become American Idol's tenth-season champion.

Alaina, a 16-year-old from Rossville, GA, who currently resides in Rossville, GA, has received 7/1 odds to win American Idol and take home the one-million dollar recording contract grand prize, according to gambling website Bodog.com.

Julie Zorrilla, a 20-year-old from Denver, CO, who currently resides in Hollywood, CA, is right on Alaina's tail as she received 15/2 odds.

While two girls semifinalists top Bodog.com's list, they are immediately followed by a quartet of guys: Paul McDonald, a 26-year-old from Huntsville, AL, who currently resides in Nashville, TN (8/1), Casey Abrams, a 20-year-old from Wilmette, IL, who currently resides in Idyllwild, CA (9/1), and Scott McCreery and Tim Halperin, who both received 10/1 odds.

Jacob Lusk is next with 12/1 odds and followed by Stefano Langone and Pia Toscano, who each received 14/1 odds.

Kendra Chantelle received 15/1 odds followed by Robbie Rosen (18/1), while both Naima Adedapo and James Durbin received the same 20/1 odds.

Lauren Turner, Haley Reinhart, Jovany Barreto, Karen Rodriguez, and Ashthon Jones are all deemed longshots to take home American Idol's tenth-season title with 25/1 odds each.

American Idol's tenth-season semifinals round began on Tuesday when the Top 12 male semifinalists performed on the Idol stage for the first time. The Top 12 female semifinalists will perform during Wednesday night's episode, with home viewers casting their votes immediately after each broadcast.

The results show -- which will be a special live, two-hour broadcast that will feature the announcement of the season's finalists -- will then follow on Thursday, March 3 from 8-10PM ET/PT.

The five male and five female semifinalists who receive the most home viewer votes will automatically advance to Idol's tenth-season finals and be joined by an unspecified number of additional "Wild Card" picks selected by new judging panel members Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler.

Sister Wives Season 2

Kody Brown and his family is coming back for another season …with four wives and all. TLC’s Sister Wives second season premiere is set to return on Sunday, March 13.

After the drama of last season… “TLC isn’t going to shy away from the drama caused by its program. In fact, it’s the main focus of season 2. Cameras never stopped rolling on the Browns as season one began airing on TLC last year, so the entire impact of being exposed a polygamists was captured by producers.

The website Joes Place Blog revelealed the batch of Idol contestants that will move on to the semifinals. I'm not sure about the accuracy of this list but the complete (and real) list will be revelaed on American Idol this Thursday on Fox.

I love to hate Marcel on Top Chef but either way ... this is going to be a cool show as Marcel shows his technique of using modern tools, his own creative inspiration to serve up mind-blowing confections. I’m sure this show will showcase a lot of his liquid nitrogen and molecular gastronomy that he has used on Top Chef.

This would be a great show especially with the buzz about the $600 2,400-page modern science cookbook by Nathan Myhrvold.

Father-son team, Nigel & Simon Lythgoe announced today that they have partnered with CMT to launch a new music competition series designed to find CMT’S NEXT SUPERSTAR. CMT’S NEXT SUPERSTAR is set to premiere April 1^st at 8pm on CMT.

CMT’S NEXT SUPERSTAR will be executive produced Simon Lythgoe and Nigel Lythgoe. Nigel and Simon have both been involved or are still involved with American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance.

“This isn’t just a singing competition, the contestants will also be judged on their song writing, radio interviews and music videos,” said executive producer, Nigel Lythgoe. “We’re looking for more than just a singer, we want the complete creative, talented package – performer, personality and writer. We want the next Country superstar.”

Contestants on CMT’S NEXT SUPERSTAR will try to impress celebrity guests each week through a series of music business related ‘challenges’ and grueling performance rounds. Beavis and Butthead to make a Comeback

MTV is bringing back the 1990's animated series Beavis and Butthead. I'm sure Justin Beiber fans are like "Beavis and Butt-who?" No date has been set but MTV said the show will air late this year.

So... they fired Lauren Conrad to make room for Beavis and Butthead. Come to think of it... doesn't the blonde one (I assume is butthead) look like Spencer Pratt? Hopefully this generation of MTV viewers will appreciate this show. Cornholiooooooo

MTV dumps Lauren Conrad

MTV has passed on Lauren Conrad’s latest TV venture, a series that was following the reality TV good girl’s blossoming fashion career. The dressed up reality show, shot in a documentary style, “just didn’t feel like a perfect fit,” according to the network.

“We decided not to go ahead with the show,” MTV executive David Janollari, tells Entertainment Weekly. “She did do a pilot. There were talks about whether we could somehow manage to put together a special based on that footage but that’s also a big question mark based on her interest in that and the finances. We love her! We would love her on our network!”

After the network’s decision not to air her show, a disappointed Conrad took a swipe at MTV in a statement with an unflattering insinuation about its viewer demographic, according to Us Weekly.

“We sold a show to MTV, filmed it and are really proud of the final result,” Conrad says. “MTV felt the subject matter was too high brow for their audience and offered me the opportunity to change the show by incorporating more of my personal life. We agreed going into the project that this show would be an aspirational one, focusing on my career and my goals and not my personal relationships. We delivered the show that we sold and are sorry MTV didn’t feel their viewers were savvy enough to appreciate it.”

4.) I love how in the end instead of kicking out the MTV crew out of his house like the other celebs who do Cribs, he's the one who takes off for "practice."

Intervention Spinoff?

America's Next Top Model Cycle 16

@MsChaCha05 notfied me that the AMTM cycle 16 cast was revealed today on CW.com. I can't find a bigger picture and I can't really tell who's who. The girl on the left looks out of place. I hope she wins. lol

After 16 seasons and going through stupid gimmicks like the space theme opening a couple of seasons ago, and the short model version of the show ... I wouldn't be surprised if this is the last season for Top Model. I think the best part about ANTM is the theme for the photoshoots... wow.. they never run out of crazy ideas. Hopefully they have more cool ones...

AMTM cycle 16 starts on Feb 23 on CW.
