Lost by ~LUN2004 on deviant ART

All of us are lost in this universe...
There is truth infront of our eyes...
But yet, we look away from it...
What ever we get... Never Enough...
Wonder when we can find peace within...

HikkaFest 2009 - The Ricer

2009-08-25T22:59:00.006+05:30

HikkaFest 2009 is over and still people talking about it. Lot of emails are passing around with HikkaFest 2009 (at least said to be) photos some are with nude photos. But this is not about HikkaFest 2009 or what happened there. This is about the official HikkaFest 2009 web site. It is a ricer among websites. Nowadays we use the term ricer specially for those who modify there cars to give good looks and big sound but no performance modifications.

The HikkaFest 2009 web site was designed by a web desiging company called We Are Designers. The website is a full flash site. But it haven't taken in to account the usability and performace of the website. People will need 2GB+ memory and higher end dual core processors to view this website. Even then this site is slow. And almost add a good broadband link to the above list. :-)

This kind of design shows that the HikkaFest IT advicers or/and web designers are not that matured. Lack of experience and creativity.

Apart from the big performace issue. The developers have simply forgot to keep simple security procedures. People can list files in direcories. Chek following,

This is not a personal attack on HikkaFest IT advisors or HikkaFest 2009 web developers. This blog post was intendent to make a point for the good will of Sri Lankan IT community and to make sure this kind of mistakes won't happen agian.

Naku Penda Piya-Naku Taka Piya-Mpenziwe

2009-07-01T22:12:00.003+05:30

Naku Penda Piya-Naku Taka Piya-Mpenziwe
If you are wondering what the hell is "Naku Penda Piya-Naku Taka Piya-Mpenziwe" then
I bet you have heard Michael Jackson's "Liberian Girl" at least once. The hit song "Liberian Girl" starts with this prase "Naku Penda Piya-Naku Taka Piya-Mpenziwe". The meaning of this phase is "I love you too - I want you too - my love". The "Liberian Girl" was written by Michael Jackson and It was dedicated to his friend Elizabeth Taylor.

Watch "Liberian Girl" on YouTube!

Suffering from a disease with no cure. :-(

2009-06-30T04:57:00.002+05:30

I hardly get sick. But when I get sick, sickness knocked me down real hard. Sicknesses that take me are normally common called or fever. This time it is Acute viral rhinopharyngitis, or acute coryza also known as Common Cold. Common cold may have been with humans for centuries but yet no cure has been found. What doctors do is give treatments to symptoms. Our scientists are working hard to find cures for HIV/AIDS, Swine Flu etc. I guess they don't have enough time to worry about this. :-) I'm gonna miss work for 1 or 2 days thatz the saddest part.

The Credit Crisis

2009-06-26T23:30:00.003+05:30

Jonathan Jarvis has visualised the complex (not so complex..) credit crisis in very eye catching, informative and understanding way. Hope you enjoyed watching it. Finally understand what is "Crisis of Credit" is. :-)

Good Bye MJ!

2009-06-26T09:58:00.003+05:30

Today is very sad day for any music lover because of the news of the death of one of all time best musicians Michale Jackson. MJ is one of my all time favourite musicians. I guess apart from child abuse cases (may be they are right, may be they are wrong) he did a wonderful job to the world music and lots of charity work. Any how I'm really sad to hear about the death MJ.

Good bye MJ!

Life goes on...

2009-06-25T23:14:00.003+05:30

I can't say that my life is dull... But, Certainly I missing something in it. I go to work early most of the time unless I over slept. Comes back home of late very late. Then watch a movie, listen to some music. Go to sleep. On weekends spend most of the time with my girl friend and driving.

I guess, I need to change... Take back the flair that I used had few years back. But not sure how to do it. Right now life is more of making some money, spending it for fun. Nothing else.

Life just goes on... should I let it drive me to what ever the end it chooses or does the time has come to take my control of it and revamp my life style.
