My Gripe w/ TDBank....

I know everyone is having a problem with TDBank right now, but besides them having my money "hostage" right now because of "Computer Glitches" I've also been experiencing RACISTS like attitudes from them, I've placed 2 formal complaints and still have not heard anything....after having waiting on the phone for 35 minutes the other day for Customer Service I was advised to close out my accounts...wtf TDbank...

Also, I should not be made to feel inferior because I was named after my dead Polish Jewish Grandfather and I happen to be a Person of Color (POC), I should not be made to feel inferior because I come from a mulitcultural family and that these days a "nuclear family" does not always include 2 white parents....

...I've been with TDBank since it was a small bank ONLY in NJ by the name of "Commerce Bank" it's been 7+years I've been with the Bank and to tell you the truth I'm less satisfied with their service and their employees these days than when their staff was probably a quarter the size of their current staff....

I've said it once I've said it twice, "Every since Commerce Bank was bought out by the Canadians things have just been DOWNHILL!!!" (no offense our Friendly Neighbors to the North....

I have a longer account of the racism and the treatment, which I will further add to this post later on..I just wanted to shoot out a quick blurb about my disgust with #TDBank...

Apple Retail Store Employee Revolution???

Woah, Apple Revolution?--eh, probably NOT. I feel Apple will probably pull a Regan circa 1981(?) and do what Regan did to the Air Traffic Controllers that decided to strike and will probably fire the people that decide to "walk-out" (since I assume not "everyone" will walkout, we are after all in a damn recession!!)---maybe if there was some sort of solidarity amongst all the retail stores; but that will be very unlikely in this Market Economy and because people are still drinking the juice--besides RJ came from Target and Target & Apple HATE HATE HATE the idea of employees trying to Unionize, in my opinion....i hate to break it to you kids but Apple is just like all of the other big Corporate Monsters out there....no matter how much you try to fight it....

Store Discord May Result in Employee Walk-Out

Apple’s retail stores carry the company’s brand and culture around the world, but really, each location has its own personality based largely on the management staff. Now, staffers at the Alderwood Mall (Wash.) retail store say their complaints about “abusive” management and possible state and federal labor law violations at the store have been ignored by the company, and they are threatening to stage a walk out at 1 p.m. on October 3rd to protest. If it occurs, it would be the first such labor action by Apple store employees. According to insiders, the employees’ complaints haven’t been fully investigated by the company’s human resources department. After reaching an impasse with Sr. VP Retail Ron Johnson over the issue, a group of Specialists, Geniuses and Creatives say they will walk out to bring attention to their complaints, and that several former employees will join the protest.

My Blog vs Facebook...

I feel as if Facebook has taken the place of my blog, all of my random mind vomit immediately gets posted to FB, instead of Blogger, particularly because I've been dissatisfied with Google's swallowing (which also apparently included Feedburner as well) of blogspot and forcing me to use my lame Google Login--but I think the real reason I've resorted to FB is because of the ease and convience of it all from my Lamephone to just easy access, I say Google develop Blogger more and provide a phone apps of sorts....

Why "Phone interviews" are not for me.....

No matter how much time I take to prepare, (example: I made prep notes and practiced my answers to the Questions), I think I will always be not so great at phone interviews, I'm a visual person, and talking through a piece of technology does not help me at all; I always get nervous and begin to ramble and I sound like an inexperienced fool, Oy Vey, I need less phone interviews and more face-to-face interviews, I am much more personable in person than I am on the phone....I am glad I survived that phone interview though, we'll see what happens.....

I feel like one of those "fail cats"...."Epic Fail"

I picked up a Netbook The MSI Wind U100, think EEEpc...I promise to post more about that soon..anyway I'm hoping to revive this blog which has been going "strong" since 2004 (aka almost 5 years now)--I think the only one of us that still consistently blogs is BSOM...on another random side note. my Mother just got back from the Philippines today with her elder Aunt, it should be an interesting time in the household; I'm still trying to figure out how to explain the fact that I do not go to Church and that I don't necessarily do that whole "religion thing." I guess we'll see....

let's jump start this blog back up!!

Shark Fin Soup

So one of the morning news programs was talking about Sharks, I think it's shark week or something on the Discovery channel--long story short with the Olympic games less than a week away being held in China the topic of shark fin soup was brought up and how that delicacy is leading to a decline in total shark population, I doubt a single bowl of soup is the sole reason for the decline in shark population.

Anyway I've been writing about shark fin. Soup since the 10th grade almost 10 years ago, I wrote to legislators about how I thought it was bad...

Eh I'm cutting this post short because I hate using my lame phone to type this post. Maybe blogger/blogspot/google should make a mobile application for my lame phone.

i really just don't know....I'm not sure when I became such a moralist? I mean I guess I've always have had my own personal set of values and morals, and I know I'm a bit judgmental at times but seriously? I'm not one to judge, I mean I'm not saying I'm perfect or anything...what the heck...I mean there's ethical boundaries that should be drawn in life, and said boundaries should NOT be crossed, ESPECIALLY if there's other parties involved. It's just selfish to not acknowledge those parties who are indirectly involved....hopefully things work out for the best, because all I can seem to say is "is this really happening?"...ugh!!

And not to be "that person" but I totally knew this was going to happen......

Apparently, there is no "official" help support with blogger, anymore, it used to exist because I specifically remember an instance when blogger forced me to use that stupid word verification every that I wanted to post to my blog, but apparently having some sort of official dedicated e-mail/support line is just too much ask from a big "technology" company, deep down inside I was kind of hoping Google would be different, but the pessimist within me knew Google would be just like everyone else....

I'm having issues with porting a domain name which I bought through blogger/google to this blog, and there is no way to find help besides using one of those stupid forums, but being the stereotypical "American" (and I use that word loosely) I want immediate actions/results, esp. since I'm paying for it....

eh, what happened to the good ol' days of Blogger, when I used wear my blogger t-shirt proudly, but NOT anymore....

eh....I think i may move away from blogger/blogspot despite having this long almost 8 year relationship (it's been a steady relationship for over 4 years) with this website, but I think it may be time for change....

but who really knows?

p.s. I'm still in Montreal and def. loving it...

Yup my plane just landed in steel town, and I'm getting my yellow
towel ready for waving (Superbowl 2006 reference)...

My plane was so damn tiny I mean one side of the place had only one
seat in each row and the otherwise of the plane only had 2 seats and
the seats of the plane I'm currently on have def. Seen some better
days..

I can honestly day this is one of the first times that I've been able
to look out the window before and during the flight without feeling
anxious at all, it only took about 24 years of flying (aka my life
span) to make this happen, though once when I was flying to Vancouver
I felt so completly at ease and peacful. Perhaps its no coincidence at
all that both times that I can remember off hand right now were during
trips to Canada, who knows?

Or maybe it was because the flight attendant on this flight was a cute
older womyn, who was very kind in a grandmother/mother kind of way...

You know its weird that we as a society gender someone as being kind
and gentle with wimminly characteristics, esp. With Mother/grandmother
esque figures... I wonder why?

The blogging will continue today while I'm in route to Montreal...
