A few of my favourite things from around the web in June...

1} I love reading the Belle Bébés blog especially the "kids say the funniest things" posts and boy did little Cassie make me giggle and want to watch her over and over again ~ SWEET!

2} Poppy Sparkles has been creating and I am in LOVE with these gorgeous fun flower corsages!

3} Styling, colours and imagery ~ why I always enjoy the Sunday Suppers blog.

4} I have realised that dreams really do come true... I am a sucker for beautiful typography, via the lovely Cinderella Project.

5} Peek-a-boo, couldn't resist this photo and the way the images are styled on Lobster & Swan.

Earlier in the year I made a personalised A-Z for my gorgeous godson Noah, since then I have been pondering designing a whole range of nursery artwork and trying to work out the best way to do it! I am pretty sure I have it all sorted now and so over the next few weeks I will be finishing off the designs and adding them to some kind of shop... Will update when finished but here are a few sneak peeks until then!

Today has been amazing, I have loved every minute of the celebrations, along with Catherine's dress the other thing I loved the most was when William and Catherine left the palace in Prince Charles vintage Aston Martin, good times!

Also I thought I would share a bunting design that I put together for Sarah Vivienne to use as her Twitter background in celebration of todays Royal Wedding... Once upon a time there was a prince who wanted to marry a princess; but she would have to be a real princess. He travelled all over the world to find one, but nowhere could he get what he wanted. There were princesses enough, but it was difficult to find out whether they were real ones. There was always something about them that was not as it should be. So he came home again and was sad, for he would have liked very much to have a real princess.

One evening a terrible storm came on; there was thunder and lightning, and the rain poured down in torrents. Suddenly a knocking was heard at the city gate, and the old king went to open it.

It was a princess standing out there in front of the gate. But, good gracious! what a sight the rain and the wind had made her look. The water ran down from her hair and clothes; it ran down into the toes of her shoes and out again at the heels. And yet she said that she was a real princess.

"Well, we'll soon find that out," thought the old queen. But she said nothing, went into the bed-room, took all the bedding off the bedstead, and laid a pea on the bottom; then she took twenty mattresses and laid them on the pea, and then twenty eider-down beds on top of the mattresses.

On this the princess had to lie all night. In the morning she was asked how she had slept.

"Oh, very badly!" said she. "I have scarcely closed my eyes all night. Heaven only knows what was in the bed, but I was lying on something hard, so that I am black and blue all over my body. It's horrible!"

Now they knew that she was a real princess because she had felt the pea right through the twenty mattresses and the twenty eider-down beds.
Nobody but a real princess could be as sensitive as that.

So the prince took her for his wife, for now he knew that he had a real princess; and the pea was put in the museum, where it may still be seen, if no one has stolen it.

There, that is a true story.

To all of the couples who came and spoke to me at The Kelmarsh Hall Wedding Experience yesterday, it was lovely to meet you all and hear all about your plans! It was a great day for Edward & Emma, lots of fantastic feedback about the collection and it was lovely to hear how impressed you all were with the little extras that I add to my designs! Looking forward to working with some of you in the near future...

Thanks also to the lovely ladies at Kelmarsh Hall who put on a great 'experience' for the couples, Kelmarsh Hall is a beautiful venue and it looks even more stunning when the sunshine is out like it was yesterday.

I can't write my post without mentioning Paul Martyn, his amazing vocals and sax playing really added a great atmosphere to the day and made it even more special, I am so glad my stand was placed next to him! (Good luck again to you Paul and your partner for 6 weeks time!)

Also wanted to mention Leanne and Chris from Love Letters a lovely couple who are getting married themselves in a few weeks time! Pop over and check out their website, their 'Letters' are just lovely, I will be ordering myself an 'E' '&' 'E' for the Edward & Emma studio and to use on future exhibition stands and also a 'T' '&' 'I' for Tracey & Ian, the shabby chic ones will fit perfectly in our little cottage! (Good luck to you both for your upcoming wedding day!)

Unfortunately I was so busy that I didn't get a chance to take a photo of my stand which I am annoyed with myself about as I was really happy with how it turned out, however I have added a couple of images that Sarah Vivienne took of my invitations when she did her Alice in Wonderland themed photo shoot at Kelmarsh Hall last year...

Lastly I send my thanks to Emma at A Bespoke Design and also Sarah Vivienne who suggested me to the ladies at Kelmarsh Hall in the first place, really grateful to you both!

PANTONE have announced their fashion colour report for fall 2011, I love it when their posts pop into my reader, I find lots of inspiration from their colour predictions and I will definitely be using some of these delicious colours throughout my design work this year...

My favourites?
Well if I have to pick 3 then I would say, emberglow, honeysuckle and quarry...
And I love the illustrations below from each of the designers to go with the colours!

Yesterday was our 1st Wedding Anniversary ~ and what a lovely 1st year we've had! So today I just wanted to share with you the thank you cards that I designed for our wedding. We decided upon an image of us that we thought all of our guests would like for the front but the special part was the text that we wrote and placed to the right of the photo...

we laughed

we cried

we kissed

we hugged

we ate

we drank

we danced

we loved...

we married

It truly summed up our day!

When I show our thank you card to my clients they always love the wording and ask if they can use the same ~ which makes me smile ~ some clients ask to change words or add words of their own, which is great as then it truly sums up their day!

Last Week, I read this post and saw these photos over on Miss Pickering's blog, amazing huh? Which is why I decided to pop over to Miss Pickering's shop in Stamford to see them for myself. I came away with a lovely great bunch, placed them in various containers, old milk bottles and such around my home and they have made me smile everyday! It was lovely to meet Miss Pickering, what a fantastic little shop and the hound is even sweeter in real life... If you haven't read her blog before then please do, its pretty and fun and I believe she may have some lovely photos to share soon of a wedding that took place just this weekend {I hope it went well!}... Some pics of how Delphinium Week looked for me...

I also spotted this whilst reading my latest issue of Country Living... I am sure you all know by now how much I love this little shop, its a great write up and I am so pleased for Tracey!

First day back today...

... So playing catch up! One of the emails I received whilst I was away was informing me that the new Christian Louboutin Fall-Winter 2010-2011 collection is now available online! I love getting the CL emails, the ads are fabulous and this one I especially love. Its strange but the image reminds me of my travels to Vegas, what a CRAZY place! I had no idea what to expect and part of me kept thinking that it might be a little tacky but I am pleased to say I was SO wrong. The thought and design that is put into some of the buildings, bars, and nightclubs etc blew me away, I am hoping to collect some of these thoughts in the new designs that I will be working on over the next few weeks, I will keep you updated.

Please bear with me whilst I get back into the swing of things, there are lots of things swirling around in my head at the moment so posting might be quite sporadic!

So I have been awol for a while and let me tell you I have missed Twenty Seven Years Later soooooooo much! Things have been hectic here at Beau, last week my husband Ian and I took a little 'time out' in Spain, before we left I had to make sure all my lovely bride and grooms were taken care of and happy ~ happy brides = happy little me! But this mean't deserting TSYL A LOT = not so happy me! (Pulling a sad face)... The break was fabulous, I came back feeling refreshed, raring to go and full of inspiration! However we have one more little 'time out' to take before full posting will resume, we are off to Chicago tomorrow for a few days and then on to Vegas on Sunday, just in time to celebrate our 33rd Birthdays... I know I will return from this break even more refreshed and even more full of inspiration ~ I have my scribble book packed!

There are lots of exciting times ahead for Beau (or the new Beau as I am calling it for now)... I can't wait to share it all with you... Not much longer to wait!

So I showed you my handy work on Tuesday, Now its time to see Sarah's... I'll let the pictures do the talking!

I told you they were amazing didn't I!

Sarah's attention to detail and creativity with the props enabled her to capture the Alice feel perfectly in each photo. I think she would even have gone so far as to have a real life white rabbit if one had of been available!

Thanks again to Sarah for letting me be involved, I loved every minute!
