But you want to be a star? You want to be famous? Then jump off the couch, sugar pie, and I'll see you -- without your enabler -- tonight at the Chateau, room 69, to go over your "motivation". Oh, but you want to be an actor? Someone respected for your craft? Well, I hear there's a duplex going begging next to James Lipton's condo in TriBeCa. After five years of failed go-sees and audiences I'll see you at Mel's Drive-In, on Sunset Boulevard, where you'll be waiting tables for the rest of your jumped-up, sad, lonely, precious, little life. Take my order down! Fresh OJ, wheat pancakes, a plate of huevos rancheros with two eggs over-easy and a side of nevergoingtohappen. So long, toots. And close the door -- on your career -- as you leave.

"Slam!"

Such a scene might be somewhat purple, but that doesn't mean it never happens. To be a star in Hollywood takes a lucky break, a reality TV show, a pit bull for an agent, redemption from addiction, several DUIs and a spectacular relapse or, at the very least, a generous slice of hard-fought nepotism. To be a great actor, however -- no matter how skeptical you might be about this industry -- still takes talent. Thankfully Kristen Stewart -- the beautiful 21-year-old star of the Twilight franchise -- is not from Albuquerque, has no cousins who rear pigs (who we're aware of), has never knowingly "hopped off an agent's knee" (unless, of course, it was to reach his face with her fist -- with three older brothers that kid can look after herself), nor been anywhere near the industry rubbernecking Mecca that is the infamous Chateau Marmont. In short, other than her bank account (Forbes has her earnings listed alongside Julia Roberts earlier this year) there's nothing remotely "Hollywood" about Kristen Stewart.

Actually, that last bit isn't true. Kristen has been to the Chateau. About a million and half times. And to say it isn't really her kind of place would be like saying Dominique Strauss-Kahn is going to struggle to hire home help. It's just a given.

"I just think if we went there [the Chateau], I'd be looking behind my shoulder the entire time," agrees Kristen as we take our seats in a dusty Mexican eatery about an hour's drive from anything that remotely resembles civilization. Found in the mountains of Topanga Canyon, the diner is a homely shack where each cold beer comes with a red, plastic basket of warm nachos and sweet, homemade salsa. The place reminds me of every Disney roller-coaster ride waiting room I've ever been in. "It's about the only place I can still come in LA where I have an iota of invisibility. And" -- her delicate, beautiful, refined features losing all humor suddenly -- "I'd prefer to keep it that way."

It’s clear Kristen is fiercely protective over her home turf. Even as this safe house, her voice ever so often drops to a whisper as another customer clatters through the shack’s back door. I wouldn’t call if paranoia, but she obviously gets a little twitchy around strangers. Especially journalists. It’s hardly surprising. Ever since it was announced back in 2007 that she would be taking on the role of Isabella “Bella” Swan in the film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s sensationally successful Twilight books, Kristen has been watched.

And watched. And trailed. And stalked. Chased. Hunted. Harangued. Online. By paps. By fans. By haters. By besotted Mumsnet members and their cats. By sign-making, prepubescent girls desperate to get their claws into Edward Cullen, the character played by Robert Pattinson. In LA. In Hollywood. In Britain. Scotland. The Isle of Wight. While driving her grey Mini. In taxis. At premieres. While on holiday. Working. Not working. While she’s sleeping. In her dreams. In her nightmares. To say the success of the vampire franchise has turned Kristen’s life upside down and inside out (in ways both brilliant but also terrifying) until she doesn’t know which way round her own guts go any more is an understatement. But now, finally, just as it was this past summer for those damn Potter kids, “It All Ends”.

“Yes, we’re finished. Filmed every scene.” Next month sees the release of Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 1, while Part 2, in true modern franchise, cash-sucking style, will be released in November 2012. So is Kristen relieved it’s finally all wrapped? Her tell is a wry smile, which then breaks out into a grin you could park a canoe in. “It’s so rare in a career to feel that a chapter is closing but there’s something final about this. No more epic, iconic scnenes...”

Unless you’re one of the millions of Twilight fans - or “Twihards” as more fanatical followers are known - then you’re no doubt entirely unaware of all the hysteria. For the Twihards, however, this final movie is the giant red-button moment, when cruel abstinence gives way to wanton abandonment (ie when Bella and Edward get to do it in a waterfall). First up, there is “the Wedding”; in Breaking Dawn, Kristen’s character Bella Swan finally ties the knot with alpha-vamp Edward. Next, “the Conception”; after one slow-mo, softly-lit night of love-making with her immortal, blood-sucking heart-throb, Bella falls pregnant with their half-human, half-vampire, wolf-cub child thing.

“I was nervous for the wedding scene,” she admits. “When I looked at the set, with the pews and the lights, and I could see everyone was there in all their outfits, I cried. God, that fucking dress!”

Although she can rock a mean short - short - dress for a premiere, Kristen’s go-to-emsemble-of-choice is so-skinny-they-look-sprayed-on jeans, scuffed Converse and an old Rob Zombie T-shirt. “I was stuck in that thing for a week; I could hardly move. But it felt incredibly ceremonial. It felt like a real wedding.”

There's no doubt that the young woman sitting across from me, sipping a beer quietly, with the smoke from her cigarette trailing up into the tress, is somewhat transformed from the teenage girl who set out a little naively (her words) on this whole joinery more than four years ago. Lessons have been learnt. "The main moment, when we knew it was going to be a big deal, was at Comic-Con in San Diego in 2008. It was the first piece of promotion for Twilight that any of us had done, so we had no real expectations. There were thousands and thousands of people waiting for us. That was the moment when we felt how powerful this thing was going to be. It was me, Rob [Pattinson], Ashley Greene, Taylor [Lautner], and we just looked at each other and were like, 'What the hell is going on'"

All their hopes (and fears) were soon to be realized. Twilight was destined to become a full-blown trans-global youth culturequake and Kristen, along with British-born Pattinson, the main stars at the centre of the maelstrom, not least due to the are-they/aren't-they off-camera relationship rumours. The momentum ignited by the huge fanbase was soon plundered by those at the top of Summit Entertainment, the company at the helm of the cinematic adaptation. Nothing gets movie executives foamier around the mouth than the prospect of cashing in on the young, easily influenced and truly obsessed. Or, as the most ardent fans of Pattinson are known amid the darker recesses of the internet, the "Robsessed". "From that moment on, the guys from the studio were walking around with dollar signs in their eyes. Like, kerching! And then it began. The insanity. The schedules. The demands. The interviews."

The deeper into the franchise the young stars were flung, the bigger the Twilight phenomenon ballooned. Soon, every aspect of their lives was being affected by the bloodthirsty cultural juggernaut. "The big jump for me, I guess, was having security. And I mean, going everywhere with you. Just a big guy standing next to me the whole time. JB is his name -- that's my guy. And he would kill me for saying this, but even he has a goddamn fan site. All these girls have identified him and he's now known as 'HBG' -- Hottie Bodyguard."

As Twilight, New Moon, the second installment, hit multiplexes in 2009, Kristen and Pattinson fount they couldn't even leave their hotel for fear of being mauled by a flash mob of screeching Twihards. Scenes of the stars fleeing down New York streets pursued by hundred of teary, shock-haired fans were beamed across the globe. Did the actress ever fear for her life? "Sure. I mean, people are crazy. Everyone does what they have to do to protect themselves, but it would be fake for me to sit here and say people are not crazy. I'm sure lots of people shy away from this question as they want to make sure they look 100 per cent appreciative all the time and that everything is the most amazing thing always … But at the end of the line, people are fucking crazy! I would have been very happy just working from job to job, paying my rent one movie at a time. I never wanted to be this famous. I never imagined this life for myself."

Kristen Stewart, a Californian, has been working in film since the age of eight. Right from the gun she knew she was prepared to fight her corner and do the sort of work she believed in, rather than take the fast buck and be seen in a cereal commercial with a talking monkey. It's not that she knew what sort of actress she truly wanted to be, more she knew what kind of actress she never wanted to be.

Her first proper role was in the independent film The Safety of Objects, originally an AM Homes book about dysfunction and turmoil in small-town America. Kristen played the tomboy daughter of a troubled dingle mother (Patricia Clarkson). "I got Safety … towards the end of that period where I thought I should keep acting. As a little kid, you audition for so many fucking goddamn embarrassing parts -- and my words would have been pretty much the same at that age too …"

You may have noticed, Kristen enjoys a good curse. Some women suit swearing, others don't have the piss'n'vinegar to back it up. With Kristen, the blue-hued language fits neatly her wily independent spirit. "I would be like, 'No Way.' Which is why I never got offered very many of those roles. I would just go though the motions. Even while starting out I took things very seriously; I wasn't the sort of kid that would do a doll commercial or do a series for Nickelodeon. They asked me to do silly things, and I wasn't a silly kid."

Kristen's notoriously sulky, slacker vibe and reported ill-temperament is often commented on -- she gets it. "It's funny. I picked an old backpack out of the closet the other day, one I used to wear all the time as a teenager. It's covered with anarchy signs, all these quotes and these metal studs. I was like, 'Wow, you must have really liked how that looked!' Despite what people think, I was such a rule follower at school. I loved the whole slacker look, like, 'Hey, I don't care, whatever,' but if I didn't turn my homework in, I would panic."

Come 2001, and Kristen got her big Hollywood break opposite Jodie Foster, cast by influential director David Fincher in Panic Room. It's a dark, violent, smart thriller about a botched burglary on a sprawling Manhattan brownstone. "It was tough, and the takes were endless, as you'd expect from David. He has a daughter around the same age so that made our relationship a lot easier -- he knew how to deal with this. He's intense, but I didn't know any different."

After Panic Room came a host of parts, mostly calling Kristen to play the complex, clever teenage girl shielding her face with her long brunette hair while going through some sort of crisis, either real or existential, hormonal or otherwise. Speak (2004) was a television movie about a high-schooler who -- after being raped at a part by a popular jock -- stops all verbal contact with those around her. It garnered the then 13-year-old actress huge critical praise, not least for her mature handling of such a sensitive subject.

"I was definitely aware of the film's subject matter," she says. "And it wasn't because of anything that had happened in my own life -- not at all. I grew up in a happy household.

Another was Sean Penn's Into the Wild, a 2007 film about the real-life adventures of Christopher McCandless, a young man who hitchhiked across America in the early Nineties -- heading north for Alaska -- in a bid to become one with nature rather than do his parents' bidding and go to college and get a job like everyone else. McCandless was played superbly by Emile Hirsch, while Kristen was cast opposite as the teenage sweetheart who develops a crush on the young dreamer. “Those good roles are a testament to the scripts I’ve been given. You would have to be a brick or a piece of wood not to be able to engage with some of that material.”

As she talks, it’s clear this isn’t merely a media-savvy actress practising some iota of self-deprecation for the benefit of our interview. Kristen has, in fact, a startlingly grounded view on her work, and on acting in general, perhaps indicative on how easy she finds the very idea of becoming someone she’s not. “I don’t want to discredit people’s individuality, bit I think people are pretty much the same. People are very similar. If you have a good enough imagination then you can feel things that you personally have never done before. That’s acting.”

Such a view of her chosen professional art form (not that Kristen would ever call acting an “art form”, one suspects) mirrors her rather dim view of her trade when just a rookie. Aged just 13, she told one magazine she though acting was “living a lie”.

“I think when I was younger, I was trying very hard to sound unpretentious. At that age, I was so bitterly self-conscious, and so desperate not to sound like a total douche. I don’t feel like that at all now. I think it was something I heard my parents say.”

Kristen’s parents work in the film industry, as crew members, solid blue-collar liberals, behind the camera. “My folks have always given me hell for how easy I have it,” Kristen admits. “My dad would say stuff like, ‘Oh, just go and sit in your trailer, practise your lines, and go lie for a living.’ It was something I said as a kid. Don’t worry, I have a much more pretentious view of acting nowadays.”

To be perfectly honest, I could have quite happily sailed through life without ever enduring a single minute of the Twilight phenomenon. The undead don’t do it for me, you see. As it happens, I did sit through them all, some of them perhaps more begrudgingly than others, but then they weren’t made for me so much as for my niece. If I had a 14-year-old niece hooked on abstinence porn. As Kristen admits, “Twilight is a catnip for those young innocent girls.” Talking to Kristen about the next steps in her career, however, she too seems more happy to turn the page.

The adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s On the Road is set for release in January next year and Kristen has been cast as the beautiful “sharp talk” Marylou. Although obviously an entirely different literary beat to Meyer’s Twilight, once again it’s a book with somethign of a sizeable fanbase. Not to mention it being one of the more seminal works in modern American literature. No pressure, then.

“It’s a pretty big deal for me,” she explains. “Of course, all the actors took the responsibility of bringing such a work to visual fruition incredibly seriously. But we knew our stuff; Walter [Salles, the movie’s director] demanded it. We had a four-week rehearsal period where we did sort of beatnik boot camp - sound a little corny, but it was awesome. There was dancing and listening to music and he had us watching Shadows a bunch of times. We had Kerouac biographers come over and give us talks, and Marylou’s daughter - or rather the daughter of LuAnne Henderson [who Marylou is based on] - came to spend time with us all and that gave us such brilliant insight.” Was Kristen already a fan of the book? “It was my first ever favourite book.”

Kristen decided to quit regular schooling in her early teens and switch to home-schooling, partly because she was away filming so much and partly because she didn’t feel the school system was supporting her. “School became genuinely uncomfortable,” she explains. “I was feeling a little self-conscious about the acting thing with my peers, but also my teachers became a problem. They didn’t want to do the extra work or put packages together so I could keep up while away. They failed me. My teachers failed me. Not one, but all of them. I’m always slightly ashamed, in a way, about what I do. I’m slightly embarrassed as I had such serious ambitions when I was younger, I just never imagined that I would ever have a reason not to go to school. But then this happened."

This for Kristen, currently, means riding around on horseback in the English countryside while wielding a huge sword in the face of Charlize Theron. Theron is the Evil Queen to Kristen’s Snow White, in a Gothic interpretation of the famous story that’s been reworked for the big screen. Kristen has had to shape up and get fit for her part, something she’s never had the desire or impetus to do. “I’ve never worked out before. Now I’m only allowed to eat stuff out of a box. It works. Also, I feel more energised and stronger. It took me a long time to realise that I was a girl as a teenager. At that point I never really believed it. I looked like a boy for a long time. Now, finally, I feel like a woman.”

Snow White and the Huntsman is filming in and around Gloucestershire, although Kristen is spending a good deal of time in a rental in Notting Hill, London. The day before, while at the GQ shoot, she had explained that she was looking forward to seeing more of the UK, as “my boyfriend is English”, although when I bring this up again the blood drains into her boots. “I never would have said that if I knew you were going to be interviewing me.”

I honestly hadn’t expected such a defensive reaction, but it’s clear when she feels her privacy is being breached, Kristen is quick to transform into “Tiger Mom”. The whole issue, if you don’t already know, has to do with whether or not she’s dating her Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson, the subject of which has seen more speculation than the origin of Barack Obama’s birth certificate. I tell her I’m surprised this is such an issue seeing as the evidence is already out there for all to see on the web - the photos, the stolen moments, the Christmas getaways... “Yeah, I know it is,” she admits. “So much of my life is so easily googled. I mean, it’s like, come on guys, it’s so obvious!” Her mood tights, perhaps all too aware of how much she’s already said. “But this subject, I don’t think you realise what a big deal it is for people. Well, it is a big deal. They would be ‘Oh. My. God’ There would also be still a 50/50 split. Some people would still be, ‘See, told you they’re not together.”

Kristen is acutely aware of all the gossipmongers. Far more so than I am, it seems. She knows about names: the “Robstens” (those who think "K-Stew and R-Patz” are together); the “Nonstens” (those fans who think they aren’t) and the “Fuckstens” (those who say they don’t give a monkey’s either way - but actually really do). I ask her who it is such a big deal to? These deranged fans? To her and Rob? What is it she’s so worried about?

"I don't worry about it at all. It's just one of those things. I'm selfish. I'm like, 'That's mine!' And I like to keep whatever is mine remaining that way. It's a funny little game to play and it's a slippery slope. I always say to myself I'm never going to give anything away because there's never any point or benefit for me."

I say that perhaps after the last installment of Twilight is out it will get somewhat easier. "Yeah, maybe. I mean, right now it really is not a nightmare, it's just one of those things. I guarantee whenever I get married or have a baby, everyone is going to want to know my kid's name and I'm not going to say it for ages. That's just the way I want to do it. It'll come out but it won't have come from me. They're going to be really pissed off that I won't say it and I'm just going to say, 'No!' I also have that desire to blurt stuff out, but I've learnt I can't do that. Not when you realize the whole world is listening. That's why perhaps I look so uncomfortable in interviews at times. I mean, we've talked about hiding things and I've had to get much more adept at that, sadly. But I'm glad I'm not one of those actresses who is just so ready to open up for everyone."

Is there any advice that she would go back and give herself, before Twilight made her a global superstar? "Genuinely don't worry about anything quite so much. Don't beat yourself up about those big scenes that don't belong to you; things are going to be the way they're going to be. And the whole interview thing, talking to the world … It wasn't ways for me at first. Doing this …" She smiles and points a finger accusingly. She's only half-joking. "You say things every day that are going to be forever, they are about things in your life that matter the most, you're caught off guard, you react weirdly, and you feel that people hate you. Sometimes people do hate you."

Really? You felt journalists hated you? "The first time around people were definitely aggressive with me. I know it was a response to my energy. I could feel them thinking, 'Come on, what is wrong with you -- play the Game.' But I didn't know how and I didn't know I had to, nor whether I wanted to. But I wasn't being defiant, I just wasn't prepared. And I think people responded to that in a negative way. I was just young and caught off guard. It got people so angry. They think you're a fraud. 'She's just saying she's young as an excuse: get it together or get out of the business.' I had people say that to me. How about, er, I'm an actor and I really don't give a fuck what you think? How about that?"

She laughs, lights a Parliament Light and breathes out, looking more composed, content and less hidden than she had done all afternoon. How's she feeling? "I'm a 21-year-old woman having a beer with GQ. I've arrived."

It feels very good to see Kristen Stewart again. I've missed her. We're meeting at the little mews house where I'm living for the summer, about an hour outside London. Kristen seems relaxed and happy; she looks fantastic--not unusual for her--and better rested than the last time I saw her, at the end of the interminable two-movie shoot that dominated our lives for the past year. You may know me as the author of the Twilight series, but I'm also a producer of the movies, so Kristen and I have gotten to know each other very well while filming during the past three years. Now the series is close to being over, with Breaking Dawn in theaters this month and Breaking Dawn Part 2 coming out next fall.

Today she's in her usual jeans and a T-shirt, Chuck Taylors and a ponytail. Without any makeup, her skin is noticeably luminous. Her hair is dark, glossy and very long. I comment on the length, mentally counting the months since I've seen her; it's been less than four. Kristen laughs: The hair is not all hers. It's in place for her next movie, Snow White and the Huntsman.

We talk and talk, and as we speak, Kristen curls her legs under her, never entirely at rest, leaning forward when she's enthusiastic. She's animated and passionate about any project she believes in, yet she's wary of how she might be perceived. I hope that in this interview something is captured of the Kristen I know, the real girl rather than the movie star.

Stephenie Meyer: So we've finally split up after spending the last several years working together. And yet the first movie I go to do [Austenland, starring Kurt Russell], you follow me to the same studio. Are you stalking me?
Kristen Stewart: [Laughs] Yes, I really am. I'm trying to get into your next films.

SM: I remember when we were shooting the wedding scene in Breaking Dawn--I was losing it because we were so sleep-deprived at that point.
KS: Yeah, the last night… I was exhausted, and it's funny, Rob [Pattinson] was actually way more energetic than I was at the end of it.

SM: How emotional were you filming the final scenes?
KS: Even thinking about it now kind of freaks me out. On the final night of filming, I was literally pulling out my hair and crying and having to walk away for a second because my voice wasn't working anymore.

SM: It was a big moment. Being there, you could feel that … And I have to say, you embrace Bella so much.
KS: I like Bella so much. In order to play a part like that, you have to believe in every crazy decision that she makes.

SM: What kind of characters do you gravitate toward?
KS: It is such a gut instinct. I've yet to play anybody who I don't really love.

SM: I think you once wanted to direct. Do you still want to?
KS: Yeah, really, really badly. Me and Dakota [Fanning] were having this conversation the other day actually, and she also wants to do it really bad. It will happen, I think. I also really enjoy being an actor, so I'm fine. I mean, I'm not finished …

SM: Do you prefer working with male or female directors?
KS: I feel that everyone's so different that it's hard to say, "Girls are like this," because even the women I've worked with are all very different. But female directors are usually pretty remarkable because they have gone that extra step of saying, "No, I'm gonna direct the film. No, there's no one else."

SM: I know that publicity's not your favorite thing. Have you ever been misquoted?
KS: Yes, I have. It bugs me! False impressions are the worst! It definitely makes me watch my words. Even right now, I'm going, OK, how do you talk about this? And you've got to have a filter.

SM: What are you reading right now?

KS: My Snow White director just gave me a book on Joan of Arc. I'm mostly reading work things. And I've been foxing all of my English-dialect stuff!

SM: It must be hard to concentrate on your performance when you're so worried about the sound of your voice.

KS: It's weird. Especially considering that I've recently had so much experience speaking he way that I speak. Because this is how Bella talks.

[Laughs.] God, imagine if I'd had to change my voice.

SM: Can you imagine how miserable you would have been? Now I feel kind of guilty, because that's exactly what we made Rob do.

KS: Yeah, actually, that's true. Completely. [Laughs.]

SM: How long did you have off after Breaking Dawn?

KS: It doesn't feel like I've had any time off. I should have just gone home and relaxed.

SM: It took a while before I could kind of step back and say, OK, it's over. [LAughs.] It's a long time to do one thing!

KS: And the experience of watching is always so strange. I watched this one with Taylor [Lautner] for the first time. It was really fun.

SM: Who can not like Taylor?

KS: No! I mean, definitely! And it's fun to watch it with him because we actually sit and watch it. Me and Taylor are actual Twilight fans, so we can sit there and be totally into it! Whereas I sit there with Rob… he likes it, but he has just such a different energy.

SM: Oh, Rob and Taylor have completely different energy! Watching it with Taylor, you feel afraid that you'll get ice down the back of your neck or a grape in your face.

KS: Totally.

SM: You always have to be on your guard with him.

KS: I've always just loved Jacob and Bella so much. Taylor is great in this one. Not to keep saying how great the movie is, but …

SM: Yeah, we threw a lot at you in this one! You have to die, you give birth screaming and--no big deal--get married for the first time.

KS: I know! Jesus!

SM: What did you do for your 21st birthday?

KS: I turned 21 the same weekend as our Breaking Dawn wrap party. So it was lucky because I had this blowout party with everyone, but I didn't have to feel like the birthday girl. I do feel older, I guess. It's amazing to realize that a lot of the insecurities I had when I was younger have pretty much disappeared.

SM: Your style is pretty basic. How would you describe it?

KS: I have a uniform of sorts--I will be comfortable in a certain hoodie of mine no matter what mood I am in. And there's nothing better than a new stack of white V-neck. For me, "changing" is either a new T-shirt. And I need pockets, 'cause if I carried a bag, I'd lose it purposely.

SM: You keep you romantic relationships pretty close to the vest. Do you have any relationship advice for Glamour readers?

KS: Hmm…good relationship advice for me tends to be being honest and knowing yourself. Don't be an asshole. That's my advice. Don't be mean. Don't take shit. Don't settle.

"Auuuugh! This is sooo weird," cries Kristen Stewart. It's a sunny Thursday afternoon in San Diego, and the 21-year-old actress is tucked into a sofa beside Twilight Saga costar (and never-confirmed-but-obvious boyfriend) Robert Pattinson, 25. The actors, along with Bill Condon (Dreamgirls) -- the director of the final two installments of the franchise, Breaking Dawn--Part 1 and 2 (in theaters Nov. 18, 2011, and November 2012) -- are relaxing with coffee in a quiet hotel suite after a busy Comic-Con morning. Or at least they were till Entertainment Weekly started reading aloud from Stephenie Meyer's Breaking Dawn, 2008 best-seller that's the basis for the two movies. "It's just so strange, I can't get over it," Stewart says of hearing the words she guesses she's read "thousands" of times, now that production on both parts of Breaking Dawn has wrapped. But if you want to talk strange, just consider what takes place in the upcoming movie: Bella and Edward's long-awaited wedding and (even longer-awaited) passionate honeymoon consummation: Bella's pregnancy with half-vampire baby, who grows at an accelerated rate and puts her life in danger; JAcob mysterious relationship with the unborn baby; and an entirely gruesome and bloody birth that results in Bella's death (sorta). So we asked Condon, Stewart, and Pattinson to listen to the words that began it all, and to share their thoughts and feelings -- no matter how weird they may be.

The Wedding

But I tore my eyes from the bowery canopy and searched across the rows of satin-draped chairs -- blushing more deeply as I took in the crowd of faces all focused on me --until I found him at last, standing before an arch overflowing with more flowers, more gossamer. Bill Condon: Kristen has this list. (Turns to Kristen) I don't know if you highlighted things in the script or anything, but it was like, "These are the scenes I'm afraid of." Kristen Stewart: I didn't highlight them, I just knew. Condon: I never quite gotit. I had my own scenes I was afraid of -- like how do you do a scene with 27 vampires in a room this big? -- but the wedding wasn't one of them. But then I understood it. It was that responsibility of being able to express everything that Bella feels. Stewart: That whole part of the book is something that I read thousands of times. It was oddly emotional the first time I got to set and saw everything and everybody. Robert Pattinson: Yeah, you were really sweet when you first showed up. Stewart: Oh, shush. Pattinson: I did my scenes first. And I was looking at you, and you kind of didn't want anyone to see your face. It was funny, I could see her getting sort of emotionally affected by it and I almost didn't want to stay at the end of the aisle. I wanted to go down and say, "Stop being ridiculous." (Laughs) Stewart: I wanted to run down the aisle. I was literally pulling away from Billy (Burke, who plays her father). Now it's a trip to watch the wedding scenes especially. It was so volatile and emotional -- I was being such a crazy person.

Honeymoon

What had happened to me? I count make sense of the fluffy white snow that clung to my skin. I shook my head, and a cascade of white drifted out of my hair. I pinched one soft white bit between my fingers. It was a piece of down. "Why am I covered in feathers?" Condon: What you just read follows them just starting to kiss in the water. Basically there's a big fade-out in between. But you decided to put in an actual sex scene. Condon: Oh, yes. Stewart: Imagine if you didn't? Oh my goodness, no way. Of course we had to have that. And the feathers, of course, are important because Edward rips the pillows apart in the heat of passion. Pattinson: I wanted to have it as a line so much. (be an American/Edward accent) "I bit through all the pillows. Every. Single. One." And then he'd start crying. By the way, that's what he should be ashamed of in the morning. All those beautiful pillows! Egyptian cotton! (Laughs) "I ruined this bed!"

Bella Chooses Life

Edward had just called my little nudger a thing. He said Carlisle would get it out. "No," I whispered. I'd gotten it wrong before. He didn't care about the baby at all. He wanted to hurt him. Pattinson: It shows a little negative part of Edward's character. He deals with it in such a thoughtless way, and he lets his fear turn into anger. It was quite nice to play. Condon: And one of your strongest moments in the movie, too. Both characters suddenly act differently than they ever have before. Pattinson: They shock each other. For a saga which is about eternal, undying love that nothing can touch, suddenly -- Stewart: There's one thing that can. That was fun to play. Bella's always liked him and liked everything he said and thought everything he did was right. This is something that she clearly disagrees with. She doesn't mindlessly and blindly follow him. She was always kind of defiant. I like that. Here is where the movie takes a darker turn, right? Condon: Absolutely. You're sort of desperate for it. Because you've got the wedding and the honeymoon, but there's no conflict. Suddenly this happens, and Rob says, "Get that thing out of you." All you have is one line, and that's the rest of the movie. It's right in that moment.

Jacob Watches Bella Drink

Bella shoved the straw between her lips, squeezed her eyes shut, and wrinkled her nose. I could hear the blood slopping around in the cup again as her hand shook. She sipped at it for a second, and then moaned quietly with her eyes still closed. This is where Bella only wants to spend time with Jacob -- because, as we later learn, her baby is already drawn to him. Condon: It's like watching Raiders of the Lost Ark and the snakes are coming and there's no way to get out. How is she going to get out of this (love) triangle? It seemed impossible to figure out any way in which Jacob wouldn't be the loser. And then this other idea comes in. It's definitely weird, but it's clever. He always loved that baby and the baby always loved him. Stewart: I just get goose bumps! Pattinson: I have to say, it is pretty creepy. (Laughs)Stewart: But that's why I loved playing up those moments. I savor all those creepy bits. Like when Jacob sits down on the couch and is like, "Don't look at me like that." She can't help it. Pattinson: Oh! I didn't even think about it the other way around as well (that the unborn baby is causing Bella to want to spend time with Jacob). Because I was like, What the fuck is this scene? This is insane. I would have broken up with you ages ago. Stewart: Dude, don't you remember you're listening to us yell at each other (later)? Jacob says, "Didn't you want me around all the time?" And I'm like, "Yeah," and he says, "Aren't those feelings gone now?" And I'm like, "Long gone." Pattinson: Ohhhhh, yeah. Stewart: (Gesturing to Pattinson) He's lying. He knows all of this, he's forgotten it! Pattinson: Oh, shush. (Laughs) Look, there are a lot of moments when Edward sort of acts like a pussy. I mean, throughout the whole series. Stewart: (Laughs) You can quote him on that. Pattinson: I'm sitting next to you and I'm like, "My wife is dying. I have completely fucked my life up and hers," and JAcob's like (to Bella), "Hey, baby, you don't look too bad to me." And I'm just sitting there, like, with a bucket collecting (Bella's) vomit. Stewart: (Laughs) That's literally what he's doing. Pattinson: That really wouldn't happen. I should have thrown the vomit at him. Stewart: Now that I've seen parts of it, Jacob and Bella's chemistry in this movie is better than it's ever been. Pattinson: (Faux-glares at Stewart) So uncool. Condon: The last scene we filmed was the dance scene between JAcob and Bella at the wedding. The last shot is Jacob leaving. I called "Cut!" and then Kristen yelled, "Jacob!" and hiked up her dress and started running after him into the woods, saying, "Come back! Don't leave me!" Pattinson: That was one of the funniest things as well, leading Bella (out to dance with Jacob). Edward is an incredibly strange character, the more I think about it. That was one of those things that I had absolutely no idea how to play. Condon: But you played it great! Stewart: (to Pattinson) You had all these stimulations! You were like, "I need to play it liked this and this and that's it." You were looking out for Edward. Pattinson: Yeah, 'cause I don't want him to look like an idiot. There's certain things…like when Jacob grabs her arms and won't let go. And that's at our wedding, before I've even danced with her! If that was reality, being a good man at that moment is going up and kicking the guy's ass so hard that he won't come back. Stewart: If that had happened in this story it would feel so wrong. Pattinson: Edward has a lot more foresight than the average person, which is one of the most heroic things about him. He also knows he's going to turn her into a vampire, so it's like, "You're going to be screwed in a couple of weeks, buddy! Try and hit on her all you want!"

The End/The Beginning

The next sound jolted through me, un expected, terrifying. Like metal being shredded apart. The sound brought back the fight in the clearing so many months ago, the tearing sound of the newborn (vampires) being ripped apart. I glanced over to see Edward's face pressed against the bulge. Vampire teeth -- a surefire way to cut through vampire skin. Pattinson: Yup, we did that. Stewart: (to Condon) Did you put the sound effect in? Condon: Yes. Stewart: I can't wait to listen for it. Pattinson: That was a fun conversation that day with Stephenie (Meyer). Trying to figure out the mechanics: What am I actually chewing through? Stewart: Oh, yeah, we had a whole conversation about that. Was this birthing one you looked forward to shooting? Condon: Yeah, it actually was. That was the real horror. Weren't those couple of nights amazing? Everything about it felt so real. It gave everyone kind of a boost. Stewart: It was like, We're doing a fucking crazy movie, actually. Pattinson: Especially 'cause that could have ended up being the most ridiculous scene. I remember going into it thinking, Oh, buy, this is going to be something.

I can't believe it but I finally made it to a 100 Monkeys Concert!!! Live streams and their albums are nothing compared to the live and in person experience!! I started off the night meeting @Robstens_Ruby! YAY!

She is such a sweetie and we went to the best BBQ place I've ever been to (Oklahoma Joe's) and it is so yummy. *note to self, don't judge a book by its cover, it was in a gas station and I would have passed it up from the looks alone!*

Story telling time...I find a way to embarrass myself everywhere I go. So what could I do this time? Oh just spill Jackson's beer at the autograph table. *facepalm* He was super sweet about it and it didn't all spill out but I couldn't be 'that girl that dumped his beer' so I had to get him another. And the look that man gave me *heart beats quickly* was worth the embarrassment. And then Ben Graupner said, "thats the sweetest thing ever" I kinda died right there, not gonna lie. Who knew that spilling someone's beer could turn into a good thing??

Lynn Hirschberg: Everyone knows you as Bella Swan, the heroine of the Twilight series, whose penultimate installment, Breaking Dawn Part 1, premieres on November 18. What audiences may not know is that you’ve been acting since you were a child. How did you get your start Kristen Stewart: It’s weird, because I would be the last person in my school to be in plays, but I was forced to sing a song in a school thing. I sang a dreidl song, which is funny for me. I’ve never celebrated Hanukkah—it wasn’t in my upbringing, but it was one of those deals where everybody has to pick a song or participate somehow in the chorus. It wasn’t the normal dreidl song; I can’t really remember the words, but it was a more serious dreidl song. The dreidl was huge, it was really honored. And that’s how I met my agent, who was in the audience. I was eight. I was nine when I did my first movie, The Safety of Objects.Did you do any commercials, or did you go straight into films?I did two commercials, one for Porsche, but I was definitely not the type of child one would cast in a commercial or any TV that you’d typically go out for as a young kid. I wasn’t the type of kid who would be in stuff that kids watch. I wasn’t cutesy.

In 1999 David Fincher cast you as Jodie Foster’s daughter in Panic Room. He likes to do dozens of takes for each scene. Was that difficult, as a child?
I didn’t realize that 80 takes wasn’t normal. But it’s funny: Some of my proudest moments from film sets are in Panic Room. My character had seizures. Just being able to say, I was 10 years old and I broke all the blood vessels in my eye on that take, is cool. It was fun.

You had a tomboy quality, which was unusual.
I have brothers, and that so-called boyish quality was something that I was deathly self-conscious about when I was younger. I was, like, No, I’m a girl. Actually, I’m still embarrassed to say that.

But it sets you apart from other young actresses. And it made you more interesting.
I don’t really know what to say. I just knew I wanted to work. And I did. I was working when I read the script for Twilight. I read the script before I read the book. I actually did the audition before reading the book, which was kind of crazy. Obviously, I tore all four books apart over the course of three years, but initially I had no idea that Twilight was such a big deal.

Did you have a particular interest in vampires? All young girls like vampires.
I fucking love me a vampire [Laughs]. I was 17 when I read Twilight, and at the time it was so perfect for me. The script was about young kids who think they can handle stuff that they just can’t. And they’re going to do it anyway. Because, why not? Just torture yourself. I relate to that. Vampires are a little dangerous—and we girls like to test ourselves.

In Breaking Dawn, Bella and Edward, her beloved vampire, get married. What was the wedding like?
Awesome. This was my first wedding. It was insane. And odd. The wedding dress experience was a huge deal. I tried on one version of the dress, and it was like tweak and tweak and alter and tweak and change, and then it’s done. BFD dress. Huge deal.

How was the actual wedding?
It was major. The last Twilight book is filled with BFDs, things that people have been waiting for for so long. For me, it was ridiculously dramatic: I get married, give birth, the baby has an incredibly accelerated growth rate we’re all very concerned about, and I say goodbye to my dad for the last time ever. It was all big—I could never go, Whew, I’m losing this character.

Did you finally say goodbye to Bella in some meaningful way? You’ve been living with her for a long time.
I’d been anticipating that end-of-Bella moment. I was going, Oh, my God—I wonder how I’m going to feel. And the last scene of the shoot was at the wedding. Every single character was there on set. At the end of that day, I was kind of whacked. And so I never really had that moment then. Instead, it happened later. We needed to film one more sort of honeymoon scene and we went to the Virgin Islands. After that scene, my true final scene, I felt like I could shoot up into the night sky and every pore of my body would shoot light. I felt lighter than I’ve ever felt in my life.

Twilight was your college, and you graduated, in a way: You became Bella Swan at 17, and now you’re 21.
Yeah—and that time has been sort of nuts for me. In film, I have chronicled every stage of my life since I was nine. And it’s more intense now, obviously, because I’m not in control of it anymore.

You’re not in charge of your life? No. Not really. Not if I want to think solely about what I really like to do. It’s a funny thing: You want so badly for people to see what you do—you’re proud of it—and I like the effect that movies have on people. But the attention can also make me uncomfortable. In certain situations, people say to me, “C’mon, what’s wrong with you?” I apologize. I love what I’m doing, but I’m a little uncomfortable.

Do you like watching yourself?
It’s not like I sit around watching my movies again and again, but I’ve never quite believed actors when they say they don’t watch themselves. I hear them going around the block to make excuses for why they don’t watch their work. It’s bullshit. Sorry, guys—I know you watch your stuff.

It must be interesting to watch your younger self in movies. Very few people have such an extensive visual record of themselves at so many ages.
I get embarrassed. It’s weird, too: I’m 10 years old in Panic Room, and that’s a version of myself that’s pretty far away, but it doesn’t feel that far away to me. Occasionally my dad will flip the TV on, and it’s cool to look at some movie that I’m in for one second. And then, “Dude, off. Now. Like, cut it out.”

Comic Con Favorite Moments

So I'm breaking down MY top 5 favorite moments from Comic Con. I had to narrow it down, it was tough! Let me know yours too!!

#5 Bill Condon LOVES Kristen Stewart!!
So I'm not surprised by this at all but I am SO happy to hear Bill gushing over Kristen. You can tell they got along so well. In the interview done by fansites (Twilight Poison, Twilight Lexicon, His Golden Eyes, Twilighters Annoymous, Twilightish, Official Twilight FB, Twilight Moms and Twilight Series Theories) Bill was asked about working with an experienced actress like Kristen..."you take somebody like Kristen, she’s going to be directing movies before long. She just knows everything about the process – everything. And she just knows “Oh my God, I should lift my eyes up just a quarter of an inch next time” and things like that. She’s an amazing collaborator where it’s like, and if you explain “Ok this feels a little unnatural but it’s worth it to do” I get it. But we would do a lot of sitting around talking about the script for weeks. And she would get ideas, I’m not saying only her, but she would a lot, and “Oh, that’s a great idea.: So yeah, all the time."

Honestly could this girl be any cuter?! And I so wish she would have asked 'a baby with Kristen' but ya know we can keep wishing and dreaming for that Golden Child. And Rob likes babies, d'aww! Did you hear that Kristen, DID YOU??

#3 Kristen's oops! moment.
The girl has a truckers mouth so it was no shock to have her slip. But her reaction was so adorable and perfect and Kristen. Can I love this gal anymore?

#2 Josh Horowitz interview w/ Rob.
Josh makes every interview w/ Rob and Kristen fun, entertaining and a must see. So when he interviewed Rob I loved his question about working with Kristen, but Rob's answer, Priceless. His attitude says, 'yes I want to work with Kristen and I really don't care if critics or fans don't like it because I'm going to anyway'. And FYI Rob, we are waiting on pins and needles for this to happen again. Rob + Kristen=Pure Win so we are all game for it!! Oh and any interview with a lube reference is a good one in my book, lol.

Twilight Cast Visits Fans at Comic Con!!!

Remember That One Time...At The MTV Movie Awards....

So I've been MIA lately. Personal reasons.

But I was watching.
Biting my nails in anticipation and getting snacks like a boss.
And so a night holding so much potential and possibilities, the
2011 MTV Movie Awards. And did it disappoint?
Well it left us with a lot of WTF? moments, I will say that.

And most of those came from our very own adorkable hobo, Rob.

But first I gotta start with this...

As much as I'd love for Rob and Kristen to just come out already and walk the couple like every other couple, they remind us that they are not a normal couple. Rob made it in a back door and let his gal own the red carpet, cause lets face it, she was smokin' hot!!! He was probably making sure that he didn't have any embarrassing moments with 'extra growth' in his knickers! But the red carpet wasn't the time or place for Rob to embarrass himself....no he had plenty of time for that the rest of the night....

No shock for us Rob claimed the Best Male Performance Award...

I would call this Rob's tamest moment of the night. Because then the word vomit began. Some people claim he was drunk, but I think fans of Rob know sometimes his mouth can't keep up with his brain and he ends up saying something that doesn't make sense or is supposed to be witty but fails the mark...

Best Female Performance~And of course his gal also took home a popcorn award. And some may be offended by her jab at Natalie, you can tell Kristen meant it to be funny, not mean at all. The only thing that was offending was not having Rob shots when she won the award...we need more of these moments damn it!

And then the real show began...

Best Fight~Bryce and Xavier vs. Rob

"Yeah I won, he he"

"I ripped your head off...and now you're pregnant."

Yep...that really happened. (Check the adorable Kristen reaction!)

And then the moment we all waited for...Best Kiss

Some are completely upset and yes I was too.

But then if Rob and Kristen actually kissed what would next year bring? And the year after that? These two have to keep us on our toes. (AND VOTING!) And boy oh boy...or should I say, boy on boy did they!!! It was hilarious and pure genius if you ask me.

But don't think we didn't catch Rob's slip again when he ran back up on stage claiming, "I wanna take you backstage."

Yeah...that really happened.

And then Rob goes on stage to present an award that has really nothing to do with him. Rob presenting Reese with a generation award. There were so many WTAF moments in his speech.

You just have to listen to get the full affect....

And yeah...that really happened.

At least Reese is aware of his humor and didn't seem too thrown off even adding a better punchline to his joke. But truly it was the best and funniest moment of the night, and that's after the hilarious best kiss with Taylor.

The trio came back on stage to show the exclusive Breaking Dawn clip and well, Taylor got the punchline this time.

Finally the night wrapped up with Eclipse winning Best Movie...duh winning!! Twilight takes all! (except best breakout star) but honestly they can rename it the next 2yrs to the Twilight Awards and no one would mind, or notice, right?

:) I think the cast nominated Taylor to talk considering who knows what Rob would have done??

And after last year's fbombs from Peter. I loved that!

So I loved the awards show and I really hope that in the next couple years we get to see if Rob and Kristen actually give us the smooch we've been waiting for. And now I think its apparent Rob MUST host SNL and 'ad lib' the whole time. I would die a happy death. Oh and before I forget we also got to see some unscripted, behind the scene pics of a couple in love. So I think THAT should make up for the lack of kiss on stage...too cute!!

And P.S. I hope to be on more often but RL has thrown a few curve balls my way, no literally. I've been living at a baseball field the last few months. So I hope now that the season is almost over that I'll have more time to come back home to the blog :)
