Stepping out for a night on the town, Robert Pattinson was spotted checking out musician Bobby Long’s show at The Hotel Cafe in Hollywood on Friday (December 4).

Doing his best to hide from awaiting paparazzi, the Edward Cullen stud was escorted though a parking garage by a security team - proceeding to head back to his hotel with a couple of pals, including good friend, Bobby Long.

As previously reported by Gossip Center, Robert is reportedly in the beginning phases of negotiating what will probably be an eight-figure deal for two planned installments of the “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” films.

Of his busy work schedule, the “New Moon” hunk said, “If everything goes as scheduled, in January I’ll be filming Bel Ami in Paris for 3 months, after which I’ll start filming the fourth and last Twilight movie Breaking Dawn. I’m pretty much booked for the next two years. I’ve got one week at the end of the summer to see my friend, whom in the end, I’ll forget even exists. It’s Crazy!”

From what I had observed Robert is quite a level headed guy. When he guested in Ellen, he was quite embarrassed when he saw those screaming fans. All this sudden attention from the paparazzi and his fans is all new and strange to him. Well, it's the price an actor pays with all the fame.

Screaming tweens are ripping off the lifesize Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson
promotional cutouts from Burger Kings around the US. TMZ reports that BK outlets have to keep replacing the posters after they’ve been stolen by girls in broad daylight:

There’s a “Twilight” crime wave sweeping the nation — particularly at Burger King restaurants — and all the suspects seem to be the most fearless creatures on the planet … teenage girls with a crush.

TMZ has learned multiple Burger King restaurants across the country are reporting life-size promotional posters of Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson are being ripped right off the BK windows in broad daylight … horrible time for a vampire.

So far, the interstate theft has affected BKs in Maine, Delaware and Montana. One Burger King rep tell us, “The girls just walk up in the middle of the day … rip off the posters and run … we’ve had to replace them over and over.”

Beware of 'Breaking Dawn' Casting Call Scams

Don't fall for their trickery.

With the recent meteoric rise of Twilight Saga: New Moon, everyone wants to be a part of the upcoming sequels, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. Unfortunately, there are plenty of not-so-nice people looking to take advantage of all these fans. In one series of emails sent out, scammers are trying to trick folks into signing up for fake casting calls.

Laura Veenker, who handled the Northwest casting for the first Twilight film, knew right away that the emails were fraudulent.

"First of all, I knew it wasn't credible because Breaking Dawn doesn’t go into production for several months, so no casting director would have been hired yet," she says. "Also, the shoot location hasn’t even been announced! How would anyone even know which city or country to be casting in?"

In the email, scammers play up to fans' love of the series and attempt to get them to enter in information about themselves. Here's a portion of the letter:

"I wanted to follow up and make sure that you registered for the Twilight 'Breaking Dawn' Casting. If you have not applied for the casting yet please do so ASAP, as the deadline is approaching and I want to make sure you are included in the casting process."

According to Veenker, you'll know when there are legitimate casting calls because they'll be all over the news. In the meantime, make sure not to fall for the fakers.

"I get thousands of letters and emails from 'Twilight' fans who would do just about anything for a walk-on part in one of the sequels, " Veenker said. "It scares me to think of what the low-lifes out there could do to hurt such easy targets."

Rob gets a raise for Breaking Dawn

According to Trans World News, the main stars of Summit Entertainment's "Twilight Saga" which include Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart will be getting substantial raises to reprise their roles in the fourth franchise installment titled "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn". They also report what many sites (including us) have been reporting which is that it will be broken into two parts which Summit is currently making plan for. In addition, the studio wants Chris Weitz, director of 'New Moon' back for both of the movies, assuming the film does indeed get broken up into two seperate projects. We'll continue to keep you posted as more "Twilight" news comes in. In the meantime, you can check out "Twilight: New Moon" which is now playing in theaters everywhere.

peter jackson would do a great job plus he would make the movie into a 3 houyr and 30 minute movie. so the movie would only be into one. so i think he is a perfect choice - erin

after reading the description .. i'm all for peter jackson!!! it makes so much sense!! he lived in special effects when he did lord of the rings & he's just perfect for it period -imani beal

I think if summit had the monetary resources Tim burton or Peter Jackson would be good because of their fantasy genre background and subsequent imagination. I would probably also say James Cameron or Steven Spielberg for the same reason as above but again dependent on moetary resources - klee

'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' has hit theaters, 'Eclipse' has wrapped filming and production on the final chapter, 'Breaking Dawn,' has been very quiet. One might think now would be an ideal opportunity for 'Twilight' fans to take a little rest, right? Wrong.

Now that we're clear of all the 'New Moon' opening mayhem and publicity tours and since there's no Vancouver set to visit, fans are left with enough time to ponder whose name should be printed on the back of the director's chair (or chairs, if 'Breaking Dawn' is broken into two movies, as has been the rumor) if Chris Weitz is either unable, unwilling -- or unasked -- to return.

Considering the massive box office success (and the fans' overwhelming approval) of 'New Moon,' the lucky director who bags 'Breaking Dawn' will have some big shoes to fill, and should be ready to face the challenges behind this final chapter. It's clear Summit Entertainment needs to secure someone who isn't a stranger to the world of makeup and special effects -- and to the undying love between a teen girl and a vampire -- so who will be the perfect fit?

Splitting last novel into two films means expensive talks

'Breaking Dawn'

The two-week $481 million worldwide gross of "New Moon" has vaulted Summit Entertainment into the big leagues, but it also has created a high-class challenge for toppers Rob Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger.

They will likely have to cut a few big checks if they decided, as rumored, to split Stephenie Meyer's final "Twilight" novel, "Breaking Dawn," into two pictures. Sources said Summit has set Melissa Rosenberg -- who wrote the first three films -- to finish the series, but Summit has to clear several hurdles before Rosenberg learns how many more scripts she'll write.

One of those hurdles is figuring out whether "New Moon" director Chris Weitz will respond favorably to overtures from the film company and the cast to shoot two more films, back to back.

Summit execs would not comment, but multiple sources said the company wants to go the two-film route, which means reopening negotiations and securing approval from the author. It also means making new deals with a principal cast that is only locked up for four films. If "Breaking Dawn" becomes two pictures, all of the key cast members will get fat raises, and the three principals -- Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner -- could land paydays in the eight-figure range.

That's what happened with key cast members when Warner Bros. extended its blockbuster "Harry Potter" franchise by turning J.K. Rowling's last book, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," into two films that will be released in November 2010 and July 2011. The global success of the franchise made the paydays worthwhile.

While the solution to most of Summit's challenges will be determined by its willingness to open its wallet, the prospect of a Weitz return is more complicated.

After feeling violated by New Line's altering of his pic "The Golden Compass," Weitz said he felt redeemed and reinvigorated by the success of "New Moon." Yet, just before the film's release, Weitz was steadfast that he would next direct "The Gardener," a comparatively tiny film scripted by Eric Eason, with Paul Witt and Christian McLaughlin producing. At the time, he said Summit was in discussions to fund that film.

Summit hasn't closed a deal for "The Gardener," probably because the film company wants Weitz to postpone it and work on "Breaking Dawn" instead. Can Weitz resist the chance to finish a global franchise he helped build, even though it will mean more time away from his family for a long shoot? That's the question the helmer and his reps will weigh shortly. Though Summit hasn't officially made Weitz an offer, sources said the job is his if he wants it. After bringing in "New Moon" at around $50 million and keeping the cast happy, he's the logical choice.

'Twilight' stars reflect on 'Breaking Dawn'

Though The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn is as yet unofficially announced, the stars of now-blockbuster The Twilight Saga: New Moon, a couple more Twilight stars have spoken up about their opinions on the matter.

First, Kellan Lutz spoke up about his interest in bringing Emmett Cullen into Breaking Dawn, saying he didn't care if it was five films just so long as the fourth book was made into a movie. Of course, Lutz's reasoning for that sentiment seemed animated by his love for being a Twilight star, but he also expressed his partiality toward the character.

Then, Michael Welch (who would only make a small cameo in Breaking Dawn if the film mirrored his character's involvement in the book version of the story) came out to suggest that the film's creation is but a foregone conclusion.

Of course, Welch's sentiments aren't harmed by the official statement issued by Summit Entertainment on the matter, saying the studio "looks forward to bringing 'Breaking Dawn' to the big screen but at this point any additional information is premature." Roughly translated, that probably means that things are in the works but that nothing is completely set in stone at this time. In other words, it's a work in progress - but a serious work at that. Until the official announcement . . . well, you know.

Ashley Greene says she would like to see Tim Burton direct the final part of The Twilight Saga.

Breaking Dawn, which is the fourth installment of the vampire franchise, is due to go into production next year.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Greene, who plays Alice Cullen, said she would be interested to see how Burton would interpret the script.

“I think it’d be really cool to have his spin on it, because it’s a very odd book, there’s some very weird moments,” she said.

“He would actually put a really weird and cool twist on it.”

Ashley Greene spotted talking her dog for a 'walk' in Los Angeles yesterday.

Greene also suggested that Breaking Dawn could be split in two films – extending the franchise into a five-part saga.

“You definitely want to get all the important parts in there and you know how hardcore and passionate the fans are about it, so one might be difficult and there would be something left out,” she said.

“So if we could do it right, it’d be great to have two films.”

The Twilight Saga: New Moon was released earlier this month and is currently number one on the US box office.

Filming on the third part of the saga, Eclipse, has already been completed.

With "Eclipse" just around the corner, "Twilight" fans have been anxious to find out who will be directing the movie version of the fourth installment in Stephenie Meyer's series, "Breaking Dawn." They'd also love to know if it's going to really be two films, as rumored, when production will start and when it will be released (our guess? Summer 2011). His Golden Eyes took the time to formally ask Summit Entertainment for a statement on the issue and received the following response:

"Summit Entertainment looks forward to bringing 'Breaking Dawn' to the big screen but at this point any additional information is premature."

More intriguingly, Summit made a deal with FX this week for the broadcast cable rights to all of the "Twilight Saga" films. The agreement called for four pictures.

Perhaps looking to get some more time in the limelight, minor franchise cast member Michael Welch told MTV he expects a go ahead for "Dawn" to be announced at any moment. Well, since you said so Michael we'll take a big sigh of relief.
