EW.coms Hollywood Insider has a great article featuring a blog written by Melissa Rosenberg about her New Moon premiere night experience. Melissa talks about the entire night from getting primped up for the red carpet to watching the movie and then the after party. Read more belowAs we near the theater we see the crowd of fans thickening the closer we get. When we arrive everyone in the car is a little stunned overwhelmed and thrilled by the madness just outside the window. We collect our collective nerve and pile out of the limo in clowncar fashion.I hit the red carpet with my dashing Lev. And I talk to everyone. I meaneveryone. Im in front of every journalist there. It takes me 90 minutes to walk the equivalent of two city blocks. And Im talking the whole time. I try to visit with the fans as much as I can signing posters books and whatever else they brought. I love these folks so passionate warm and personable. Unfortunately I keep getting pulled away to do more press. Still its all incredibly exhilarating.Highlights on the red carpet include talking with Access and Extra and my favorites Carrie Bell from Entertainment Weekly and Larry Carroll with MTV.In the theater I nearly fall down the aisle several times Ive not yet perfected the art of walking down a sloping aisle while wearing ridiculously high heels. Lev tries to keep me steady.The excitement in the theater is tangible. Its like a reunion too seeing people I havent seen in a while. I finally find Stephenie Meyer who looks stunning in Carolina Herrera so great to see her radiant smile. Its been far too long since Ive seen her. We see Jamie Campbell Bower who we spent time with in Rome Michael Sheen the gorgeous Edi Gathegi all the incredibly talented New Moon producers.They finally get us all in our seats. I take off my shoes trade secrets!. The movie begins. It seems like a pretty friendly crowd so Im hopeful for a good reaction most of them are either married to related to friends with or associates of someone connected to the movie. They want the movie to succeed. They laugh and gasp and applaud in all the right places. Its so gratifying to see ones work playing well to an audience!Im relieved delighted happy. KELLAN LUTZ AND NIKKI REED ON THE TODAY SHOW

Kellan Lutz and Nikki Reed made a stop by the Today Show yesterday in the neverending but very satisfying New Moon promotional tour to talk about the film. In the new interview they talk about the huge fanbase how it was playing their respective roles how filming for Eclipse went and more.Thanks NoorNikki and Kellan are great in interviews! I said this last night on the Kimmel interview but I love the grouppair interviews more than I enjoy the individual interviews because theyre a lot more fun. What did you think of this interview?

Nikki Finkes Deadline Hollywood Daily is reporting incredible breaking news for the opening day numbers at New Moon. Whats even more exciting are the numbers that New Moon could reach over the entire weekend.The night definitely belongs to Twilight. This is what a Hollywood insider told me early this morning after NEW MOONs late Friday night numbers came in. Summit Entertainment is now saying it debuted to 72.7 million from 4024 North American theaters. This shatters both previous AllTime Friday and Single Day records of 67 million set by 2008s The Dark Knight. So Batman was beaten by the Twilight sequels vampires and werewolves which wont sit well with the superheroloyal moviegoing community. But Stephenie Meyers Twilight Saga novels New Moon is the second in the series are now proving as much of a phenomenon as comic books for source material at the box office. And New Moon once again has shown that when the female audience supports a film it can absolutely dominate box office. Fridays total included New Moons 26.27M in 1201AM screenings from 3514 theaters. That set a new midnight opening record smashing The Dark Knights 18.4M set on July 18 2008 and Harry Potter And The Half Blood Princes 22.2M set on July 15 2009.My insiders are tracking New Moon for a massive 125M weekend depending on how big a drop there is between Fridays records and Saturdays results. I hear the pic logged an A CinemaScore which should mitigate. But that number wont break the alltime opening weekend record set by The Dark Knight of 158.4M in 2008 or by SpiderMan 3 of 151.M in 2007 or Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Mans Chest of 135.6M in 2006. But it should surpass Shrek The Thirds 4th place finish of 121.6M in 2007. But all three of those movies were released in the summer unlike New Moon which should easily score the biggest NonSummer FridaySaturdaySunday 3Day Weekend opening ever. Note that none of these numbers have been adjusted for inflation or higher ticket costs or theater counts. Amazing especially since Hollywood thought New Moon might repeat might do Iron Man numbers of around 100M. New Moon also smashed the 36M earned by Twilight on its first Friday exactly a year ago. Thursday night Summit reissued Twilight in 2057 theaters and took in 1.3M. Twilights opening weekend total was 69.7M.Read more here.Wow! 72.7 Million for opening day? Kellan Lutz made a stop by the Jay Leno show yesterday to squeeze in a quick little interview and some New Moon promotion. In the very cute new interview Kellan talks about how he picked two fans out of the audience at the L.A. premiere to come see the film with him his weirdest fan story and how his mom will beat up any TwiMom how he was left out of his own New Moon after party and more.I love that Kellan picked two fans out of the premiere audience to see the film. Not many actors would do that so I think that was very sweet of him. It was pretty sad to see that clip of him being left out of the New Moon after party though. Youd think the security would be able to recognize the films actors!What did you think of this interview?

Weve been getting individual interview after individual interview with our New Moon leads but thanks to Jimmy Kimmel we have an interview with Robert Pattinson Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner together! In the late night interview the three talk about how difficult it is for them to go out without being recognized especially together what it took for them to get in shape and prepared for the film and they even take a few fun audience questions. PETER FACINELLI TAKES A BITE OUT OF 'NEW MOON' AND REVEALS 'ECLIPSE' DETAILS

Peter Facinelli who plays patriarch Carlisle Cullen in The Twilight Saga franchise took a little time to stop by the PopEater studios and talk about the films. In this new interview Peter talks about the films premiere last Monday what he is looking forward to in Eclipse and what he knows about Breaking Dawn among other things.
