Snow White and The Huntsman 2 Set for 2015 Release!!

Collider Universal Pictures made its presentation to theater owners today at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, and Steve was onhand to get a look at what Universal has planned in the near future. While he’ll have his recap of the footage online a bit later, we wanted to share a couple of news tidbits that were announced during the panel which include updates on the Snow White and the Huntsman sequel and the next Bourne film.

Universal Pictures chairman Adam Fogelson hosted the studio’s presentation at CinemaCon, and he revealed that they are currently aiming to release the sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman in 2015. After the fallout from the behind-the-scenes drama on the first film and a sizeable yet unremarkable box office (at least for a film budgeted at just under $200 million) for the Rupert Sanders-directed fantasy pic, movement on the SWATH sequel has been fairly slow. Star Kristen Stewart confirmed that she would be returning for the follow-up in December, and Fogelson affirmed just last month that Sanders would not be returning to direct.

Kellan Lutz Takes Off His Shirt for New Op Campaign

Kellan Lutz going shirtless is not breaking news. Kellan Lutz going shirtless as the model for Op’s brand-new, never-before-seen ad campaign, however, certainly is.

The Twilight star poses alongside the equally gorgeous Katrina Bowden (you recognize her from 30 Rock) in the shots, which were taken in Miami Beach and are a behind-the-scenes peek at Op’s spring/summer campaign.

Bowden embraces the out-there prints trend in a watermelon-patterned bandeau, a fedora stamped with pink flamingos and black short shorts. Lutz appears in the same photo wearing nothing but a pair of shorts (just how we like him).

In the other shot, he carries on the watermelon theme, but in a slightly different, sexier way. (And by the way, watermelon wasn’t all Lutz ate at the shoot; he also received a surprise birthday cake on set.)

Lutz and Bowden follow in the footsteps of Sarah Hyland and Ashley Tisdale, who modeled for the brand’s spring/summer campaign in 2012.

Once again, Max Irons proves himself to be the most charming man on the face of the earth. The actor talked about meeting Saoirse Ronan for the first time...

"From the first moment I met her in London, I knew it was going to be easy," the actor explained. "Some people are just easy to work with, and you watch her and you look at her face and think, 'What is she doing that's so special?'" Irons went on to say: "You can't define [her charm], it's just there - it's all there, everything! She is always spot-on and perfectly informed. "It still amazes me that she was 17 when we shot the film. I worked most closely with her and with William Hurt, two masters of their craft, and both were so humble, patient and generous. It was a joy. I listened and learned a lot from William Hurt, he is a master." Irons also admitted that he was initially very unsure if he would land the lead role in The Host, given the tough competition during auditions.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are going to the blondes, and this is something that we are okay with. Can not wait for this. According to DEADLINE one of our favorite vampires is about to put himself in a half shell. Who is that? Well that would be Noel Fisher!

Allow me to lift the shell off who’ll be playing the other three turtles. I’m told that Pete Ploszek will play Leonardo, Jeremy Howard will play Donatello and Noel Fisher will play Michaelangelo in the Jonathan Liebesman-directed film. Now, the turtles in the original movies were kind of interchangeable, stuffed into those cheesy costumes, but this is supposed to be a more sophisticated Avatar-like approach.

The male lead in Summit’s Neil Burger-directed adaptation of Divergent has gone to Theo James, the Downton Abbey and Underworld: The Awakening star who’ll play opposite The Spectacular Now‘s Shailene Woodley. The film’s set in a futuristic world where people are herded into factions based on their personalities.
