The PsVita is taking Augmented Reality a step further with their latest release TABLE TOP TANKS. Developed by Devils Details Ltd. & XDEV Europe, this has got to be the most addictive Augmented Reality game to date. The game starts out with 3 game modes to choose from (which require a minimum of 3 AR cards) solo challenges,multiplayer mode, and solo creator. Both solo and multiplayer mode require players to destroy static guns, collect flags and waypoint markers, demolish enemy’s and targets using airstrike pick ups, and get back to base all while competing against time! Homing missiles, shields, and rockets that Ricochet are a few items you can grab along the way to help reach your goals. There is one more mode Solo Creator, which allows a player to set up their own map with real world objects {soda cans, candles, and the telephone work great!) to make barriers and walls that really work in the game! Super Cool!

BAD- Multiplayer is Ad Hoc Only!, Aiming is not precise, Holding camera pretty still for long periods of time sucks! But that’s not too bad!

Trendy Entertainment has released it’s latest Hero Class DLC “Summoner,” for Dungeon Defenders earlier this week. Online Tower Defense RPG says very little about one of the fastest selling downloadable games of all times. Dungeon Defenders is an original hybrid of two hot genres: Tower Defense and Online Cooperative Real Time Strategy Action-RPG!  Hero’s like Squire, Apprentice, and Monk, now take a seat while an unknown entity from the Crystalline Dimension “Summoner” bakes up his own plan to wage a war across Etheria. Summoner is for the use of the Master Strategist. With abilities such as “Phase shift” (which allows you to move unnoticeably across the realm) or “Flash Heal” (which heals all allied defenses and units within a certain radius instantly), Team up and fight on 15 unique maps, 30 challenges, and 4 difficulty settings; raiding loots, casting spells, and leveling up to build the strongest hero and highest score in the kingdom. Capcom has announced today that the demo for Steel Battalion Heavy Armor is now available on XBOX Live. This game is exclusive to XBOX 360 consoles that have Kinect in them, so if you have the motion sensor technology, you will probably enjoy it. With Steel Battalion Heavy Armor you experience the true feeling of war by taking control of a Vertical Tank and getting introduced to your fellow crew members in the first two levels of the game.

Electronic Arts has officially announced that as of today, Command & Conquer: Tiberium Alliances is playable. At first the game was only available to beta testers, but now Phenomic™, which is the EA studio in charge for the game, is proud to announce that everyone can play it now. Command & Conquer: Tiberium Alliances is a web browser game and what’s awesome about it is that you can play it from work or your home office without the requirement of  a high end PC. The developers of Sleeping Dogs were inspired by the folks behind Arkham City when it comes to the fighting. For the racing and driving end of things, Need For Speed inspired that and after playing this game, I can clearly see that. Be sure to look out for Sleeping Dogs around the end of summer and below we have some really awesome screenshots.

A big announcement by ATLUS and ACE Team gave us a lot of insight on their recent action packed strategy game Rock of Ages. Released in 2011 on Xbox LIVE Arcade for the Xbox 360 and PC, Rock of Ages will now make its debut in North America with a of cool features and content to rock your world with!

There has been some major legal issues that Microsoft has been going through lately regarding their popular Xbox 360 console. So major that it may lose access to their largest audience in the world. If you haven’t been following the news, Motorola and Microsoft have been in a major legal battle over Microsoft infringing on some of Motorola’s patents in their gaming console. A US International Trade Commission judge has ruled that Microsoft has infringed upon four of the five patents that Motorola has accused Microsoft of infringing upon, which led to a ruling by the Mannheim Court in Germany that Microsoft is guilty and therefor can’t sell the console in Germany. This has been temporarily blocked due to the US court issuing a restraining order preventing Motorola from enforcing the injunction, but that may be gone soon along with the ban being applied to the states as well.

US judge David Shaw, the judge who ruled that Microsoft infringed on Motorola’s four patents, has advised the International Trade Commission to ban the imports of 4GB and 250 GB Xbox 360 consoles to the United States due to the infringing patents. If the ITC follows through with the recommendation by Shaw, then the only hope for Microsoft would be President Barack Obama reviewing the decision and overruling it within the 60 days it will take for the ruling to pass to the Court of Appeals for the Federal Court. Along with this, Shaw also suggested Microsoft post a bond equivalent to 7% of all 360 consoles currently unsold within the US. This may be steep, but compared to the 100% Motorola was asking for Microsoft should consider themselves lucky.

What made me laugh most out of this whole debacle is Microsoft’s reason for why this shouldn’t pass, stating that such a ban “would leave Sony and Nintendo the dominant force in the market”. Way to stay classy, Microsoft. Judge Shaw shared my line of logic, saying that intellectual property was far more important.

Microsoft fans may want to pay close attention to the news regarding this legal battle(and possibly be ready to write letters to either the ITC or to the Obama administration), and anyone who has been thinking about getting a 360 lately may wish to snatch one up before they may be off the shelves entirely. Movements across the world are already happening to boycott Motorola products as well. As for me, I’ll be sitting on the sideline with a bag of popcorn and using yet another dead 360 as a coaster for my cool beverage as I watch the chaos unfold.
