It’s a sad reality of working in a customer service job…

Some dishonest folks are pure scammers and they’ll do anything and everything to try to get stuff at a discounted price.

And if you happen to be employed in this line of work, you know I’m speaking THE TRUTH.

In today’s story, a retail worker explained how a customer tried to pull a fast one on them…but they weren’t buying it!

That guy DOESN’T work for us, and the discounts he gives are a LIE!

“I’ve worked in and out of retail for a number of years now and I’ve collected a number of stories.

I currently work for a retailer specializing in toys, and most of the time it’s the best job I’ve ever had!

But…

Sometimes though, there are people who are out to make our lives miserable.

On one particular occasion my coworker and I were excited to see a sudden rush of customers carrying large boxes from a certain popular brand of construction blocks.

It had been a relatively slow day money-wise and the toys were expensive, so that many large sales in a row would really boost our day’s sales figures. I happily start scanning in the first customer’s items while my coworker gets out some of the big bags to fit the items in, then I tell the customer the total…

Oh boy, here we go…

Then all hell breaks loose.

(Customer 1) WHAT?!?! That’s not right! It’s supposed to be on sale!

(Me Confused) I don’t think so… We don’t have a catalog on at the moment and there’s no sale ticket on the item.

(Customer 1) Don’t you know anything! It’s supposed to be 30% of “brand toy” today!

At this point the customers that had been lining up behind Customer 1 have slowly moved forward and are encircling the counter. You can practically see the hysteria start to spread as they clutch their large sets. They want that discount and are in full support of Customer 1.

My coworker and I share a glance because this situation is not looking good and we know that there’s no sale on “brand toy”.

They had a policy about this…

Our store is an individual owned retailer and rarely ever does general discounts on product ranges, and that particular brand only ever gets given a general discount in the Boxing Day sales.

(Me) Are you sure it’s our store doing the sale? “Big department store” next door has a toy section and they often do big general sales.

(Customer 1) YES it’s your store! The guy said it was THIS store!!

The surrounding customers chime in with their agreement and my ears went up.

(Me) The guy? What guy?

(Customer 1 exasperated) The guy! The one standing down in the “brand toy” section. He said it’s “brand toy’s” 30th birthday and so “toy retailer” is doing 30% off all “brand toy” for one day only!

My coworker and I look at each other again. I can tell the same thing is going through both of out minds. What?!?!

At this point I turn to try and address all the customers present. There was about eight of them all surrounding the counter.

Not gonna happen!

(Me) I’m sorry but there seems to be a misunderstanding here. Neither our store, nor “brand toy” have a representative standing in the “brand toy” section. That guy has no authority to give out the discounts he’s claiming are available. I’m afraid you’ve fallen for a hoax.

There’s a pause as this news starts to sink in and I start to relax. Surely logic will prevail and the customers will realize that they have been tricked, through no fault of ours…

Yeah, and maybe we’ll all laugh and hug and start singing some weird little song showing how today we’ve learned not to believe the promises of random strangers.

This guy just didn’t get it.

(Customer 1) You still have to give me the discount though!

(Me caught off guard) … What?

(Customer 1 standing straight and smiling smugly) You still have to give me the discount. It’s false advertising otherwise.

Some of the other customers at this point have left their “brand toy” on the counter and left, but there’s about three more desperate ones clinging on to Customer 1’s new argument in the hopes that they can still get 30% off their sets.

Take a hint!

(Me) But… WE’RE not the ones that are advertising. Some random guy is.

(Customer 1) But we couldn’t have known that! It’s advertising in YOUR store, so YOU HAVE to honor it!

(Me shake head in disbelief) No, it doesn’t work like that. Some random guy telling you that you get 30% off “brand toy” does NOT mean you get 30% off “brand toy”. Otherwise we’d have someone in here every day giving out random discounts.

(Customer 1 losing confidence) But…but the guy SAID!

(Me) The guy lied!

(Customer 1) This is outrageous! You can’t treat your customers like this!

(Me) I’m sorry, there’s really nothing I can do.

Customer 1 slams his “brand toys” on the counter and starts to storm out.

(Customer 1) I’ll be calling consumer affairs about you! You’ve just lost yourselves a good sale!

He stormed out kind of slowly, as if he expected us to relent at those last words and give him the discount. I just shrugged and turned back to my remaining customers.

Well, this was certainly interesting!

With their fearless leader gone, they were starting to see their cause was futile. They piled up their “brand toy” on the counter and started to leave as well. A couple gave some half-hearted threats about not returning but they left peacefully enough.

My coworker stepped forward to put down the phone she’d picked up. She’d been standing behind me ready to call security the whole time in case the customers turned ugly.

Annoyed with the whole situation I left my coworker with the stacked “brand toy” and stormed down the aisle to the “brand toy” section.

There was no one there. I had a look around the shop but it seems that the argument at the counter had scared off all our other customers, stupid troll customer included.

Sure I can laugh about it now, but at that moment I was NOT a happy person.”

Coyotes can be dangerous. If you live in a neighborhood where you might see coyotes, it’s important to closely watch small pets and children. This is serious.

What would you do if you were going for a walk and saw a coyote? Would you keep your distance and keep the information to yourself, or would you want to warn your neighbors?

In this story, one man decides to warn his neighbors. He just wanted them to keep an eye out and stay safe.

However, his good intensions were met with hostility. Now, he’s wondering if it would’ve been better not to say anything.

AITA For notifying animal control and my neighborhood of predatory animal sightings on the Ring app

Quick background; I live in a relatively populous condo/townhome neighborhood covered in trees with a lot of grassy areas.

Our homes are very tightly packed together and a lot of my neighbors tend to walk their dogs, and have their kids run around, especially now due to the beautiful weather we’ve had this past week.

He wanted to warn his neighbors.

A couple of times this weekend my wife and I spotted coyotes (unsure if a single coyote spotted multiple times, or multiple coyotes) out in the middle of the day very close to homes and backyards.

From my understanding, coyotes are primarily out from dusk to dawn, not the middle of the day.

I called our local Animal Control and posted a notice on my neighborhood Ring app just giving them a heads up of what we found and where it was located, hoping to just spread awareness that these coyotes are out and about and to keep an eye on their surroundings

The neighbors didn’t react the way he expected.

I’m now receiving many complaints on my Ring thread telling me that I’m overreacting, or that I should mind my business because it’s an animal who also lives in the area, and being called pathetic.

All I wanted to do was spread awareness, not get mobbed by animal activists.

AITA here?

I don’t think he did anything wrong. He’s just raising awareness so parents and pet owners know to watch out.

Calling animal control was a bit of an overreaction. I’ve seen coyotes in my neighborhood and never would’ve thought to call animal control. I honestly doubt that they’d do anything.

However, it is good to be alert and bring in small pets.

I have a feeling, deep down in my bones, that a lot of folks who actually work at grocery stores, have ever had to say that before.

Am I right, or am I right?

Because, who would be confused by that?

Well…the guy in this story was!

Guy believed I worked at a universal customer service location…

“This happened a few years ago when I worked at a major grocery store in Canada, but it’s one of my favorite angry customer stories and figured it’s a good one for this thread.

I was working the customer service desk when this family comes up to the counter with their cart. The father proceeds to pick up a Reebok bag and tells me he has a discrepancy with his bill.

I figured he just packed whatever product he was actually talking about inside the bag -which happened more often than not.

Boy was I wrong.

Huh…?

He pulled out a box containing sneakers and a Reebok receipt, claiming he didn’t get his discount and wanted us to refund it for him.

I honestly just stared at him blankly for what felt like a full minute before telling him that this was the wrong store, and he’d have to go back to Reebok and resolve his issue there.

He then looked at the “Customer Service” sign behind me and goes “isn’t this customer service?? The store is too far out of my way, just give me my 15% discount!”

What the hell was this guy talking about?!?!

Again, couldn’t even fathom what was going on and just stared at him in disbelief. I had to explain to him that this wasn’t a universal customer service desk, and that we only deal with issues regarding our own products.

He had absolutely none of it and started yelling at me, claiming I was a terrible employee who deserved to be fired for refusing to help him and asks to speak with a manager.

I told him that wouldn’t be a problem and happily called one down.

The look on my managers face when the customer explained the situation was gold… but the look on the customers face when when the manager reiterated what I had told him?

Absolutely priceless.”

The way you treat people can catch up with you when you need their help the most.

One woman watched that happen as her best friend’s future sister-in-law tried to fill out her wedding party.

The bride had already rubbed several women the wrong way, so finding bridesmaids wasn’t going well.

Eventually, she even asked this woman to step in, but she politely turned her down.

But when the bride refused to accept that answer, the conversation got heated pretty quickly.

My best friend’s brother is getting married. I have known my best friend since 1st grade, so I was kinda adopted by association by her family.

I was over at their home often, and I am still invited to their family events. Example: I just joined them for their 4th of July celebrations.

My best friend has known me longer than she has known her younger brother.

Apparently, the woman is not nice to other females.

The youngest brother is getting married, and he is marrying a woman named Clara. Clara is not a girls’ girl.

She fawns over the guys and will make backhanded compliments to put down the women around her so she looks better.

All of the women in the family do not care for her. My best friend’s mother (she is a lovely lady) has been having a rough time. My best friend tries to avoid her as much as possible, and I have seen her behavior.

She keeps asking people, but they turn her down.

The recent issue has been the bridesmaids for her wedding. She only had one, and she needs two more to match the number of groomsmen.

She asked my best friend, and she agreed, but she has not been able to find anyone else.

Everyone knows why. It’s because she is a ***** to women, so she doesn’t have any girlfriends. She refuses to have guys as her bridesmaids, so she is stuck.

Last I heard, she asked her boss, and she was turned down.

Desperate, Clara called this woman’s husband.

I got a call from her, and she asked me to be her bridesmaid. I told her no politely, and I thought that would be the end of it.

It was not.

She ended up calling my husband to ask me to do it. My husband handed me the phone, and we got into an argument. It went on for a while, and in the end I told her that it is not my fault she doesn’t have female friends.

Now, the brother wants her to apologize.

I hung up after that.

I am being told to apologize by my best friend’s youngest brother. I am not, and it seems to have caused more of the women in her family to speak out. It is now a big mess.

I was told by my best friend’s mom not to worry about it, because the blowup was going to happen eventually.

Eek! It sounds like Clara is making everything harder than it needs to be.

Some neighbor disputes stay contained to noise complaints. Others escalate into doorstep harassment and a literal mess raining down from above.

One renter had the misfortune of living beneath a chaotic family who made a habit of near-nightly yelling, fighting, and stomping that regularly stretched until 12 or 1 AM.

After reporting the noise to his leasing company, the situation didn’t improve. Instead, he started experiencing random banging on both his front and patio doors at unpredictable hours, always followed by the culprits running off before he could respond.

How to handle noisy, disruptive neighbors

I live on the ground floor below a noisy, disruptive family of at least 6 people (more than the lease permits) in a 2 bedroom apartment.

Daily, these people are yelling, fighting, stomping around, often until 12:00 or 1:00 in the morning.

But when the renter tried to confront them, it only made matters worse.

I’ve tried bringing it to the attention of my leasing company, but the only results that yielded, what I surmise, is retaliation by the neighbors, who have now taken to randomly banging on my front door and patio door at all hours of the day or night, then running away.

Additionally, they throw trash off their balcony, as well as what I suspect is dirty mop water, which splashes onto my patio and furniture, and even me on one occasion.

Now the renter is stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Is it the worst thing ever? No, but it certainly makes for an unpleasant living environment, especially when it disrupts my sleep.

Do I have any rights as a renter in this case? How can I word future emails to the leasing company with the hope they might take real action.

No renter should have to deal with this.

Living below this much chaos while trying to just exist peacefully is exhausting in a way that’s hard to fully explain to anyone who hasn’t dealt with it.

Jobs can really burn a person out…

And even if you believe that you’re the strongest, most adaptable worker out there, you too will probably hit the wall at some point.

And there’s nothing wrong with that!

Hey, jobs (and life) are pretty stressful.

In today’s story, a person opened up about how they feel like they’re at a dead end at their job and they just don’t really care anymore.

“I’ve been hearing people say a job is just a job and to not stress so much about it. Just care enough to do the job well and keep your performance up.

I don’t know if it’s my work ethic or what, but I’m at the point where I don’t even care if I perform well at my job.

They sound like they’re OVER IT.

If I get all excellent scores on each performance metric, I’d only get around a 1.5% raise.

If I get average scores as in I do the bare minimum, I’d get around a 1.2% raise.

Meanwhile management is pushing us to do more with less (like everywhere else) and pushing us to shorten deadlines for no good reason.

I’d get it if we had to shorten our project timelines because we just waste too much time, but sometimes we need longer to ensure all our work is done accurately and done well.

He clearly doesn’t like his job.

I’m also just feeling hopeless, if that’s the right word.

We spend far too much of our time at work to the point where work becomes one’s identity.

And work, to me, is simply a tool to trade my time for money.

It’s sad, but true…

Spending eight hours minimum, five days a week at a job is insane in this day and age.

Life should be about spending time with family and loved ones, not about spending your entire day at work and being so drained at the end of it all.

I don’t think it’s being lazy, but rather just what’s important to me.

He does try when he actually cares.

In my free time I volunteer at an animal rescue and put my heart and soul into working with and helping those animals.

I’m not paid to do it but it’s work that truly matters.

It’s the same with my hobbies.

Maybe they should try to find a different job…

But when it comes to my work, as impactful as management says it is (and yeah every type of job has some kind of an impact), it just doesn’t feel real to me. Like everything in corporate is just made up.

I’ve had coworkers say “welcome back to the real world” after my vacations. But the real world is when you are not at work.

My goal is to retire early and spend as little time on work in my life as possible.

I don’t think work is something people need to necessarily care about performing well in. The bare minimum to not get fired is necessary. But anything beyond that just isn’t worth it anymore.”

Living with someone usually means putting up with a few things you wouldn’t choose for yourself.

One woman is trying to remember that after her roommate started cooking fish nearly every day.

The smell has gotten so strong that she can barely use the kitchen without feeling sick.

So far, she hasn’t said anything because she doesn’t want to sound rude or insensitive.

But, at the same time, she knows she can’t keep living like this.

How to negotiate with roommate about cooking fish

I’ve got a roommate that cooks fish nearly every day.

When she cooks, the smell wafts and permeates through the whole apartment and stays for hours on end.

The smell makes me retch and gag. I can hardly put words to explain how overwhelmingly smelly it can get around here.

She has something written up, but is unsure how her roommate will take it.

I haven’t yet said anything to her, but our microwave (which she used a whole day ago) smells like it now, and I can’t use it myself.

I’m not sure how to broach the subject kindly with her and in a way that’s culturally sensitive.

I also don’t want there to be any animosity or bad blood between us from here on out, of course, so I wanted to ask if you guys could help me with putting together a message that acknowledges that she’s entitled to cook whatever she pleases, but that it’s also detrimentally impactful to the person she lives with.

I’m not sure yet if she’ll take it badly.

Not wanting to cause more issues, she’s looking for advice.

I’ve had a few issues with her so far, including her tendency to not clean her dishes for days and leaving them soaking in water covering the sink’s drain, not taking out the trash (and with the fish smell too), and using my cooking items and my dish sponge without clearing it with me first.

She can also be exceptionally noisy and occasionally inconsiderate.

Could you guys let me know what you think? She’s not a bad roommate by any means. It’s definitely too early and rather presumptuous to be making that determination at this point, I imagine, but the fish issue is really starting to bother me. I’ve thrown up twice in the past week.

My best friend and I have been best friends for 10 years. We’ve been through pretty much every major life event together, and when she got engaged, she asked me to be one of her bridesmaids. I happily said yes.

The wedding has been planned for about a year and a half. I booked the date off work as soon as I knew it, bought my bridesmaid dress, paid for alterations, contributed to the hen do, and have been involved in helping with the planning.

I’ve been with my boyfriend for 2 years. About two months before the wedding, he found out the date of his university graduation, and unfortunately it landed on the exact same day as the wedding.

She immediately told him the truth.

As soon as he told me, I said I was really sorry, but I’d already committed to being in the wedding and couldn’t back out.

As a bridesmaid, it’s not really something you can cancel at the last minute without putting the bride in a difficult position. I told him I was proud of him, wanted to celebrate with him before or after graduation, and I’d make it up to him.

He didn’t take it well. He got angry and said I was choosing my best friend over him. He said graduation only happens once and that, as his girlfriend, I should be there to support him. From his point of view, I should have backed out of the wedding.

At this point, he’s still really upset.

My view is that I made a commitment over a year before we even knew when his graduation would be. If I were just a guest at the wedding, I might have considered skipping it, but being a bridesmaid feels like a much bigger responsibility.

I also don’t think it’s fair to cancel on my best friend after she’s spent over a year planning with me as part of her wedding party.

He’s still upset about it and says my decision shows where my priorities are. I understand why he’s disappointed, but I also feel like there wasn’t really a “good” option here, and someone was always going to end up hurt.

A man explained what happened when he helped out a fellow customer in a store…and the whole story is about being NICE.

What a concept, right?

Let’s take a look at what happened.

I can help you find that fabric.

“My mom was a custom dress maker. From the age of 12 till I moved out at 19, I was the designated assistant.

I’m a guy, and while I’m bi, I usually come off as straight. By the time I was in high school, I was patterning making my own dresses for her shop.

During the busy prom season I was in charge of shopping. I needed to get a bunch of notions we were short on and get some bolts of fabric we knew were going to be popular.

He must have looked knowledgeable.

So I was walking around with a cart full of fabric bolts and a bunch of notions.

Some lady walks to me and asks if I can help her.

She was trying to sew a dress for her little daughter and wasn’t very experienced and wanted so help getting what she would need

Yeah, why not?

So I just turn and say, sure.

I have a look at the pattern and realize it’s probably too advanced for her. So I let her know and we go searching through patterns until we find one that would be on her skill level.

We then go finding the right fabric. And the we find the correct notions. I grab my cart and we walk up to the cutting table. I needed a few smaller pieces of fabric cut.

I then go, you can ask this lady to cut and how much. She thanks me and heads up to the cashier.

LOL.

I then get my fabric cut and head to go the line, right behind the woman. She turns and asks why I’m in line.

I let her know, oh, I’m picking up things for my mother’s dress shop and a few pieces for some projects I’m working on personally for a close friend.

Another day, another case of mistaken identity…

It never seems to end, does it?!?!

And this story is a real doozy…

A man who was filling up a vehicle at a gas station got an unusual request from a woman…who thought he worked there.

Doh!

“Lady, I don’t even work here!”

“I work for a bus company and part of my job is to fuel the gasoline powered vehicles we have. We have about 17 (4 minivans, 3 mini coaches, 10 small “special ed” school busses).

So for about 2 1/2 hours a day I drive to and from a local gas station to fuel up the vehicles. Part of my routine as the gas is pumping I check the washer fluid by visually looking at the tank, we have a large tank of it back at the yard.

I have been doing this for about 3 1/2 years and every 4-6 months the following situation happens:

I am at a gas station filling up a vehicle and have the hood open to check the windshield washer level. As I close the hood I hear someone (always a woman) from the next pump over ask me what I was doing with the hood open.

“Checking the washer fluid” I plainly say.

Hahahaha!

“Well when you pump my gas can you check mine? Thanks.”

Puzzled I ask “What do you mean pump your gas?”

She instantly gets that angry look that I know all too well, driving a bus and interacting with parents of 45 kids, working a year in fast food and a year in retail taught me that face, “You are an employee here, I need help pumping my gas, now please tell me why you don’t know how to do your job!”

He’s been there before!

This is a moment I have been waiting for the whole time I’ve been in the service industry but couldn’t do because I need a job.

I prepare my most neutral tone of voice possible, think Ben Stine.

“Lady, I don’t work here. Pump your own gas.”

Turned around and finished the vehicle I was fueling, slowly hung the nozzle, got the receipt and wrote the vehicle number on it and got in the vehicle and drove off.

AITA for being the reason Christmas was ruined for my family?

“My aunt is a jerk. Always has been.

She’s tried numerous times to get me and my sister to live with her despite us saying no and my parents telling her to stop asking. My parents have also told her to stop raising us for them.

My aunt is the oldest of her siblings and is still unmarried and without children of her own. (My dad’s the youngest…and he’s 42).

A side note before the story begins (because this is relevant), my grandmother had a stroke a few months prior to the story.

She has long since recovered and back to her normal self. She also makes it a point that even though I’m 18 when the story begins, she wants me to relax whenever I’m at her house as I have so many chores to do at home.

So Christmas comes around, we’re all having a good time.

This didn’t get off to a good start…

My aunt got skipped during the present opening, didn’t choose to say anything, so she’s already annoyed from that.

Later on, I’m sitting on the couch admiring the new games I got (huge geek). My grandmother said she was going to do a few dishes, then join the rest of the family. My aunt comes in and asks me why I’m not helping her. I forget what I said.

Give it a rest, lady!

Next thing I know, my grandmother and aunt are arguing in the kitchen about how I should be helping her. My grandmother said that if she needed help, she would ask my dad and jokingly calls for him. I go outside and tell my dad that she needs help.

I stay outside for the ensuing argument. According to my dad, my aunt went off on him for the way he raised me (trying to claim that I was lazy).

Dad couldn’t take it anymore and went off on her in return.

Good riddance!

I was walking with my grandfather and sister (who was nine) to their garden when I see my aunt storming back and forth from her car to the house with her stuff. She then left and the rest of us had a somewhat normal day.

Imagine living in a neighborhood where one of your neighbors hates whenever anyone parks in front of her house. What would you do if she got petty and start parking in front of her house and your house?

In this story, one woman is in this situation, and she is so frustrated with her neighbor who we shall call Karen for obvious reasons.

While her neighbor is legally allowed to park on the street, she knows she’s intentionally parking all of her cars on the street to prevent anyone else from parking there.

She doesn’t want to start or continue a parking war with Karen, but she’s not sure what to do when she or a contractor working on her house needs to park on the street.

I am looking for suggestions on what to do.

Here’s the situation: We occasionally have contractors such as gardeners, solar installers, and plumbers at our home.

Usually, they park in our driveway or in front of our house because hovering over concrete and other stuff can be tedious.

Meet Karen.

Our neighbor Karen lives across the street from us, so we are not direct neighbors.

Sometimes, when our driveway and the street in front of our house are occupied, the contractors park in front of her house.

However, Karen dislikes anyone parking in front of her house or on the adjacent street, as she has a corner lot.

She has expressed this to me and has even made some insensitive remarks about the contractors.

Karen got petty.

We have asked the contractors to avoid parking in front of her house whenever possible.

Recently, Karen has started to create a parking issue.

Around 6 a.m., she strategically parks her cars (she even bought a new one, bringing her total to four) in front of her house to keep others from parking there.

It’s quite petty, but we haven’t said anything about it.

Karen sounds like a hypocrite to complain about how many cars are parked on the street.

Since a week, she now parks in front of our house, moving her cars to her garage overnight or after 5 p.m. so that no contractor can park in front of our house.

I want to avoid getting into a parking war and remain calm, but I’m concerned that this is just the beginning.

Yesterday, a second neighbor mentioned that Karen dropped by to complain about the number of cars on the street and about us because of the contractors we have.

What should we do? Ignoring the situation is one option, but I worry that it may escalate.

That sounds so frustrating! Street parking is public parking, so I don’t think they can do anything to prevent Karen from parking on the street. What can they do?

I wouldn’t bother warning her.

She should definitely call a tow truck if she’s parked illegally, like if she’s blocking the driveway. Otherwise, I don’t think there’s much that can be done. Street parking is first come first serve, so unless she wants to be as petty as her neighbor, she might just have to live with her hypocrisy of complaining about street parking while hogging all the street parking.

Some neighbors are so unreasonable.

You’re definitely going to encounter some hooligans sometimes if you work in customer service, and the best way to deal with these folks is to shut them down…

In today’s story, a worker in a retail store talked about what they did when a customer thought they could play fast and loose with the rules.

Yeah, it doesn’t work like that.

“I work for a big name clothes retailer in the UK, have been for about a year now, so naturally have lots of dumb customer stories but the guy who wandered in yesterday managed to make the top of the list (for now!).

Man: I’d like a refund on this jumper I bought last week. I’ve noticed it’s gone down in the sale so I want to buy it again at the lower price.

Now I can’t stand it when people ask for this because it’s money out of our till and we don’t do very well, especially as there’s a larger store of ours round the corner that takes most of the sales, but I have to oblige.

Me: Sure, do you have your receipt?

He takes out the receipt and starts tapping the till impatiently.

Me: … and can I see the jumper?

We blankly stare at each other for a while.

Man: No.

What was this guy up to…?

Me: What?

Man: It’s at home. You don’t need it. Just do the return and I’ll buy it back.

Me: I can’t do the return without the product in store…

Man: Well that makes no sense! I have the receipt so just do it!

At this point I’m spluttering a bit.

No way, dude!

Me: Look. I get your point but you could just take the money and run after I do the return, leaving me without the product and I’d get fired. Not worth it I’m afraid.

Man: For god’s sake. What a waste of time.

This was all over the difference of £3. Customer logic baffles me.”
