The smart-glasses can even read out emails to users and make calls or send text messages. The prototype devices do not, however, include 3G connectivity. This means that the device would need to be connected to a smartphone in areas not covered by Wi-Fi for users to access telephony and internet-based services. Google will probably iron out imperfections such as this when future models are released. At the moment, the priority appears to be making the device work with limited functionality.

Battery life is a chief concern. Rumoured to last only for a few hours, the device is hardly going to win prizes for longevity unless developers find a way to increase duration without introducing a significantly larger battery. This is arguably the main issue with the product. Smartphones have become larger and heavier as users demand greater technological performance. If Project Glass is to succeed, the devices must include sufficient hardware to achieve the requisite level of functionality. Either smaller, lighter components must be fitted or users will have to be content with large, heavy glasses.

To push technology further into the background, Project Glass must produce something extraordinary. The smart-glasses must trick users into thinking that they are not wearing glasses at all. This means squeezing more into less. Google will probably achieve this, but when is a matter of pure speculation.

Lessons taught in class will be updated to the cloud so that students can access them anywhere.

The content in the tablet will contain a comprehensive syllabus of whichever board the student is a part of. The boards covered will be state boards, CBSE and ICSE.
