Christmas is observed by everyone, young and old. And all those who believe that there is God who is too generous, loving, kind and merciful. And it is in this month of December where Christmas season is celebrated; the spirit of giving fills the air.

Elections 2016 in the Philippine settings are something to watch, something to monitor especially on how on the Presidential and Vice Presidency bets. This would be the 16th President of the Philippines to succeed President Noynoy Aquino.

1. People mourn for the corruption of the government made left and right.

2. Noted persons and public government officials were meted the reasonable penalty for corruption.

3. The President as the head of the country is always blamed for the problems of the country like traffic, crimes, and poor economy.

4. Finger-pointing is the common practice among the people in finding faults with the government.

5. Solutions for this country's dismal situation is the forthcoming national elections.

6. Presidential election is believed to be the immediate remedy to the appalling country's international image.

7. Self-anointed saviors come out in the open to show themselves of their ability to head the country.

8. Federalism is one of the best solution ever conceived by a presidential aspirant to rectify the weakling government.

9. Presidential aspirant who believes for herself as the best option to lead the country is dragged to her disqualification for non-residency in the country.

10. Nuisance candidates never surrender to push their candidacy for president for they claim they're qualified.

11. Party-list system finds its way too to alleviate the people's low standard of living particularly the marginal citizens of the country.

12. The COMELEC (Commission on Election) never sleeps for the voluminous petition papers on residency issue.

13. Whoever wins in the presidential election he or she is no superman or superwoman to remedy the various, haunting ills of the society.

I come across with a touchy and commendable act of humanity about an intermediate teacher who has a golden heart of helping those who are least privilege of their life. This a matter of an Act of adoption for real or not?

1. The Bible says what you've done to the least of your brethren, you've done it to Jesus too.

2. There are people who really do care for their fellow beings without counting the cost.

3. This kind of attitude is seldom could be found from any person, especially without taking back what has been offered in return.

4. And I know everyone would agree with me that this is very rare indeed.

5. At around 9 kilometers from the city proper of Kabankalan, Negros Occidental, Tabugon Elementary School has a benevolent male teacher who had adopted pupils in school.

6. This young man was teaching for almost 7 years and had a promising lad who possessed a good academic standing in most of his subjects.

7. This lad topped his first grading examination with the highest score in English, Science and Filipino.

8. With such "strong mental capacity", he became a favorite of his teacher and wanted him to be adopted too.

9. It was fitting and appropriate for his teacher to do so for is poor, lacks his parent's guidance and with no proper direction in life.

10. With such dismal scenario, Angelo Arquillo Aldohesa might be deprived of a bright future if not supported for his financial and educational needs later life.

11. Grade Six, section Jupiter adviser, Sir Marcus Vulkan (not his real name) wanted to adopt him and would provide all his needs for the entire year.

12. Sir Marcus would let Angelo send to a Maritime School when in college someday.

13. How many among our midst like Angelo? And how many among us too like Sir Marcus?

What Cross to Carry?

1. Every Christian nation does observe Lenten Season to venerate Jesus' Passion from Gethsemane to Golgotha.

2. In the Philippines, there are people, male and female, have offered themselves to be nailed on the cross for they believe they've accomplished something spiritual.

3. Small ambulant vendors have taken advantage of this jam-packed occasion especially the Church and the plaza by selling their finger-foods.

4. Many family members have gone home to join with their family on this Holy Days, not only to observe the Holy Week celebration but to be with their parents, siblings and relatives anew.

5. Are the people united in this season as one in Christ? Do they stop their day-to-day activities just to be in the Church and listen to the "7 words of Christ" homily from their Minister?

6. Jesus died on the cross to redeem the sinners. And what are the sinners are doing in this occasion?

7. "Via Cruzes" (The way of the Cross) is a tradition among Christians and is dramatized by the youth in one-act play which ended at the place designated as a virtual place of Golgotha or Calvary.

8. Is this event is only effective during this Lenten Seasons? Why and why?

9. How is peace and order observed in this season? Do petty crimes and other criminal acts minimized if not totally stopped.

10. Let's pray to the Lord that He will forgive those who do know what they're doing is wrong.

11. Let's forgive one another as we forgive our own spouse, relatives who have sinned against us.

12. Remember Jesus doesn't come for the righteous but for the sinners. Does anyone sinless?

13. Getting rid of sin is spiritual and loving the sinners is humane. Let's love one another in the name of Christ and carry our cross according to our own faith.

Going to School Is No Fun

1. What would I be when I grow up? This question has bothered for I don’t know what to take up when I go to college.

2. Since I was in my primary grades I used to see my fellow school mates were too excited when closing of the school year is fast approaching.

3. Do I need to be excited too like them? I asked myself.

4. My late mother, I remember, asked me on how my schooling a month or so before the final closing of the school. I got no word to answer her right away.

5. My interest started to develop when I saw some bright pupils kept on competing for honors. They’re so confident of themselves to excel.

6. A day before the closing exercises was scheduled for the recognition day. As I saw the honor pupils one by one coming up the stage to receive their medal and certificate of recognition, I talked to myself, “I want someday to be one of them being recognized as an honor pupil.”

7. My wish came true when I completed my grade six level. My mother went up the stage to pin me the ribbon for being the outstanding pupil in Industrial Arts.

8. That memorable incident became my springboard in striving for more honors and recognition in my high days, but to no avail.

9. Competition in the high school is too stiff besides unhealthy practice of favoritism among the teachers and class advisers.

10. I just maintained my high grades and all throughout the four years I remained in the A-1 class section until I finished my secondary course with no honors.

11. Going to college seems to be impossible for me to pursue for my parents couldn’t afford the high tuition fees and other extra-curricular payments.

12. Is money a problem? Is there no way or means to get just to take an affordable tertiary course?

13. God so provides. I applied as a working student in the college and I was granted with a limited number of units per subject.

Praying Is Doing Right

On Praying

1. Friendship develops because of trust and confidence. And it is right.

2. Just a mere misunderstanding, friends tend to separate ways. And that is not good.

3. Gossip springs out of jealousy, envy and inferiority. And those are some of bad practices.

4. Gossip spreads like wild fire which consumes friendship, intimacy and razes them down to naught. And this should be avoided.

5. A genuine friendship grows and edifies those in a circle and in a process, trust and confidence are nurtured.

6. To nurture confidence is doing what is right in a compromise. And it really works.

7. It's a fact that truth hurts and reality spells out amendments, humility for speedy recovery. What else?

8. "You" are the center of truth and no one in "evil", but always be careful temptation lurks somewhere.

9. Evil connotes anything from notoriety to infamy, but turning it back there's something to "live" for time and eternity.

10. There is a Supreme Being who is the Father of creation and there is one of Intelligences that rebelled and created confusion.

11. Believe it or not; you're one of those responsible to work for misunderstanding among the members of your group.

12. Finding it hard to accept reality for you've led the chaos and even perpetuated it for worse.

13. Doing what is right is like taking a bent knees, bowing your head, and closing eyes for a prayer.

1. Traditionally we're reminded of this a line from song, "Hark the herald angels sing; glory to the new born king".

2. It further says that Christ is born in Bethlehem. Thus, Jesus is here on earth.

3. This incidence is commonly portrayed among Christians in a Nativity tableau, participated in by kids and even adults.

4. What Christmas has brought to mankind! Again, we're re.minded that "war is over" in Vietnam in Christmas Day as depicted on the popular song of the same title of the The Beatles.

5. "So this is Christmas and a happy new year" expressed world renown singer, Celine Dion.

6. Songs are too many relaying what Christmas is about, Jesus' birth, peace and goodwill toward men.

7. Jesus is the central figure why Christmas is celebrated all over the world. True or false?

8. However, Jesus is not the answer to all forms of evil.

9. Others terribly hate Christmas when they're being greeted. They've their ideology to vehemently abhor it.

10. December 25 now becomes dubious for it isn't the appropriate date for Jesus' birth, reliable source claimed.

11. What happens when there's no Jesus? No Christmas? No scripture? Bible?

12. "There is no God" - can you blame the fool who says that?

13. Whatever it is, Christmas has influenced anyone, any nation, people, beliefs and traditions that the Savior of all mankind is born.

My Christmas Tree Out of Nothing

My Little Christmas Tree

1. Children, big or small, find it so excited when it's Christmas time.

2. Toys, presents, gifts abound, either cheap, expensive whatever cost are they.

3. All over our country Christmas is generally observed by all folks.

4. Christmas carols, foreign and local are filling the airlanes as young and old humming, singing them with gladness.

5. Markets, malls, commercial centers and even small stores are selling Yuletide presents, gifts, products purposedly for gift-giving.

6. In this holiday seasons everybody seems aplenty for shopping malls are mostly filled by them.

7. Whether Christians or non-Christians are happy about it, enjoying within themselves for it's not only for kids but for adults too.

8. When I was a kid my family didn't have much for Christmas though we felt and wanted to observe it in our silent way of doing it.

9. Sad to say, my school participation was so limited especially when our class was having a Christmas party. I regretfully missed it so much.

10. Deep in my heart, I'm so anxious to do it in my own unique way by just looking those classmates of mine and those people who were enjoying the season of Christmas.

11. "Do I have my own Santa Claus," I asked myself believing that I could have one also for myself. Thanks, my mother assured me and wanted me to hang a pair of empty socks near the window.

12. What about a Christmas tree? I asked mother to provide one. She just nodded her head without a single word. So I kept on waiting and waiting and waiting. Nothing happened.

13. Despondent, crestfallen I was for I had no choice until I found a small bush along the road and made it into a humble Christmas tree with plastic toys I bought from the Sar-Sari store and put the tree near our window. Then I was fulfilled.

How Are You, Yolanda Victims?

1. Yolanda victims say, Prft! Foul! since the super typhoon Yolanda strongly hit and greatly devastated their place like Eastern part of the Philippines and it is already a year in the eyes, ears of her victims, dead or alive.

2. Several towns in the province of Leyte were totally wiped out, killing thousands of people and damage to crops and properties. Sad to note, in counting the number of casualties had been controversial.

3. Means of communications, land, air, sea were paralyzed. People in the nearby islands like Cebu, Negros, Panay, and Mindanao were worried for they found it too difficult to communicate with their relatives living in the typhoon-hit area.

4. The place was believed to be doomed for reasons that superstitious people living in that place only believed. PAGASA, however, had earlier made an announcement over the radio, TV and even in the internet on the coming of deadly typhoon ever hit the country.

5. Well, God is still so kind and merciful and the deadly typhoon has stopped. Relief and rescue operations had been made easy and on time.

6. Relief and rehabilitation efforts started. Help, assistance coming from all over the country and even from foreign countries kept on pouring.

7. National government came short of help and was practically blamed for being negligent and deficient in rendering timely service to the victims.

8. International celebrities even came to the rescue. They even held a concert just to amuse, relieve the victims from the stress, problems in any form they're facing.

9. At least, the Yolanda victims recovered from a year after that fateful day of November 8 when their place of abode was badly hit by the super typhoon. Politics didn't sleep. They played its part unstoppable.

10. Whatever the government has extended helped to them, President Benigno Aquino III was misunderstood for being slow in discharging his Presidential duties.

11. Misdirected aids were found by Commission on Audits (COA). The survivors vehemently clamored on that mishandling of help intended for them.

12. The survivors have all the know of the idle funds held by DSWD as per audit report. Why that funds unused when the victims are gaping for help in restoring their hope for shattered dreams brought by Yolanda.

13. Whatever matters, in time of crises, natural calamities, Filipino should set aside politics, personal aggrandizement. They should be united making Yolanda victims confidently saying, "All is well."

DepEd Dabarkads: The Group To Watch

1. Department of Education groups, public or secret, are beginning to sprouting out like mushrooms after a thunderstorm.

2. They're created for various aims and purposes. Others are just for a limited membership for camaraderie, companionship. Some are organized to get more traffics which in return are earning from social media.

3. Sad to say, there are pages or groups which are not following their legitimate purpose of organizing them. They have served as an outlet of expressing their dissatisfaction to our government, to our agency in particular.

4. As they grow in membership, their group deviates from its sole purpose of helping the members in terms of instructional materials, among others.

5. Non-deped persons, entities joined without screening them. In short, the group has become center of business venture.

New Group in the Making

6 Just this afternoon, I come across with a new group and request to join with it. I notice for merely three days since its creation, it has already more than nine hundred members including myself.

7. DepEd Dabarkads is the humble title of this group. It is created to unite DepEd personnel who could contribute good practices and experiences in relation to their job

8. And eventually it could improve member's well being as an efficient, effective catalyst in the field of education.

9.. Membership in this group covers DepEd agency all over the country to have a better and well representation of the DepEd institution. Private educational institution is even qualified to join with this group.

PH Politics 2016: To be or Not to be?

Many ambitious Filipino want to try their luck in Politics. Philippine Presidential Election 2016 comes at nigh. And the President Aquino himself is no excuse of this. Though he is adamant to run again for the law so prohibits it. But in PH politics, anything will happen naturally. Besides his allies are expressing their support already.

1. It seems out of track for every incumbent country's head or executive to run again for another term.

2. But in the Philippines, many mysterious will happen in the field of politics for popularity for many wants it.

3. No cha-cha should be pushed through, but charter change should be done with no more reelection. Political allies so declare it And it sounds absurd.

4. The voices of the bosses should be respected, should be heard. PNoy has said.

5. In the general point of view of the Filipino, the bid of the present President PNoy to continue his last term to another uncertain term of governance may sound nincompoop.

6. Experience said: in a short span of time or even years, poverty reduction is next to impossible to attain due to power play and politics.

7. Priority project funds become an essential needs of every lawmakers in the country and where greed and dishonesty actually emanate.

8. Social injustice especially inflicted to the journalists has fallen into government's deaf ears and no justice given them.

9. Power struggle in the law making body like the house of representatives and the house of senate is uncontrollable due to politics again.

10. Plain and simple politics find no place in the Philippine culture and governance because of political dynasty and power and riches.

11. The "matuwid na daan", a battle cry of Aquino's political career is attainable virtually. Many doesn't want to tread on it.

12. It is one thing to say in public and another it thing to accomplish it. Water and oil don't mix.

13. Could President Benigno Aquino III make it in 2016 if he is allowed by the constitution to run again? So be it.

1. Graduation day is a time to leave your Alma Mater for a higher learning or to join in the world of work.

2. Tears and joy are mixed results of completing a hard work of academic studies.

3. Sad and despair are for those who are school leavers, drop outs and truants.

7. Money, prestige don't measure one's success of education.

8. Self-esteem, humility, meekness are key factors for a success learners.

9. The number of years of completing a schooling is simply a measure of every learner's endurance to be learned.

10. To be educated isn't only confined to the four walls of the school or educational institutions.

11. The greatest achievement for one to be considered as educated is the knowledge on why, where and what they do exist here on earth.

12. Prayer makes life easy, burdens light and ambitions achieved through the name of Jesus Christ.

13. Whatever undertakings in life to be grateful is invaluable virtue in life and it couldn't be bought with money.

1. Love is when I never fail to court her everyday and greet her in her special day, and of course, in Valentine's day.

2. Love is when she washed my dirty pair of socks and filled in my lunch box with my favorite foods.

On One's Negligence

1. Mis-coordination of mind and body, you stumble down, flip, slide, and fall to the ground unaware.

2. Glasses are broken when filled with boiling water and when handled improperly.

3. People got electrocuted for unattended electric open wire or unsafe electric circuit board. Wrong, for the high voltage of power source of electricity.

4. Kids cut their fingers not for the sharp knife, but for their curiosity and innocence of using the knife. No, for the carelessness of their mother or guardian.

5. Car got a flat tire not for excess air pressure of the said tire, but for the corroded ply of the tire. Nope, but a spike planted on the road.

6. Prayers are not answered for the petitioner doesn't have enough faith of what he is asking or praying. Yes, absolutely spiritually true.

7. Sickness got never healed not for ineffective medicine, but the sick doesn't mind taking the medicines on time. No exactly. The malady is incurable.

8. Rice doesn't cook well not for insufficient water or not enough fire, but for the cook isn't minding it. Many acted as a cook.

9. Foods have lost their flavor for lack of seasonings. No, the taster's taste buds doesn't function well.

10. The quitter never wins and the winner never quits. No, he has cheated and manipulated the game. Practically this true.

11. Money buys everything and love gives everything. But they don't provide everything the person needs. Only God provides never lasting or eternal happines.

12. Faith has never failed. It is negligence that makes one fails to attain his goal in life.

13. Accidents do happen it is not because of one's pride, whims and caprices, but because of utter negligence. Take note. You may not negligent, but others are.

1. Rural folks worry so much when typhoon hit their place, but small businessmen rejoice.

2. Billions of money wasted from damages to properties, crops and belongings to the victims of typhoon and earthquake.

3. God sends natural calamities to let the ungodly know that there's Supreme Being who controls the nature.

4. Prayer is the immediate course of action of everyone for the coming of any calamity and no action undertaken.

5. Many lives, damages to property and crops brought by a natural calamity but the people have never learned a lesson yet.

6. Everyone knows how terrible the wrath of a natural catastrophe but yet some have still the courage to dare the nature.

7. When earthquake strikes or typhoon hits, everyone couuldn't hide their fear, but hardheadedness still rules out.

8. Natural disaster couldn't be prevented or stopped to occur, but planning to stay safe is still possible.

9. It takes lives, properties, money to defy nature's wrath; but it takes a mustard seed of faith to believe God's greatest love.

10. Lives lost in calamity couldn't be regained; but lives offered to God could be found in Heaven.

11. Most of the people tend to be united when it comes to natural disaster.

12. No racial discrimination is evident among the peoples at the height of natural disaster for they're one in helping each other.

1. Remembering the dead is the deepest sign of gratefulness.

2. No one could be saved with the dead for they determine the salvation of the living.

3. There is sustenance in tending the dead, especially during All Saint's Day.

5. The living sometimes desecrate the dead by making fun of them.

6. When you pray, do it also for the dead for they need you for their eternal repose.

7. The dead could be baptized by proxy in the place designated for that ordinance.

8. It is the temple of God wherein the dead may have their salvation be performed.

9. In All Saint's Day or All Soul's Day, the people well remember their departing loved ones.

10. The dead have no power to save themselves from their sins.

Election Season in PH Setting

1. Election is held for the people to exercise their right to vote

2. Suffrage is valuable for every vote to vote for the candidates whom they like.

3. Election time is the best opportune season for the candidate to show their best in serving their constituents.

4. Money is aplenty during election period.

5. Those who are running for seem to be friendly, helpful and resourceful.

6. Every candidate is most seen in any social gathering, public forum, meeting, and even in funeral services.

7. No one possesses the best qualifications; everything seems to be faked.

8. Dirty tricks are common among runners and followers of the candidates.

9. Vote buying is the best strategy in winning the election, but cannot be proven.

10. Voter's life is under threat and even every member of his family's future is at stake.

11. Elected officials, after election, are being served by the people, instead of serving the people.

12. Losing candidate is unlikely to concede for his defeat for he claimed he has been tricked.

13. Election final results are always contested for anomaly.

(n.b. This is not to discount those candidates who are qualified and determined to serve the people. But unluckily they have not made it for lack of financial support, political machinery, among others.)

1. Our Heavenly Father hears the prayer of the poor with a listening ear of concern.

2. Lofty prayers also receive the Lord's reply for humility's sake and making them lowly.

3. Prayer is said morning, noon and night time and God answers them in appropriate time when the doer never expects the Lord's reply.

4. God's reply to prayer is of three type: yes,because of the faith; no, because of the pride, and wait, because of uncertainty.

5. Humble prayer's answer is not readily acted by the Lord. It takes an inner spirit to feel it.

6. Prayer done in spiritual sense is also answered in its spirituality, for Spirit speaks to spirit.

7. It is the spirit that teaches man to prayer.

8. Those who fail to pray are those who are not in need.

9. Those who always pray are the adopted sons and daughters of God.

Giving Thanks in Any Way

10. Shedding a tear is a humble way of the oppressed to acknowledge a gift or a blessings they received which they never expect to have it in the rest of their lives.

12. The first line of a prayer is thanking the Lord for His goodness, kindness and mercy.
