Aren't these incredible? I can't keep picking up my jaw off the floor. I couldn't even decide which ones to post they are all so amazing. Mimi Sato is based in Toronto and creates these amazing little mixed media illustrations from found textiles. Couldn't you just live in one? Mimi also has a blog and is making steps toward opening an Etsy shop!! Sign me up to make a purchase.

An email in my inbox just took me back to my 9th birthday when I was DYING for a Swatch Watch. I got it :o). It was pink orange and green, and AWESOME! Steve from ICED Media sent over some new watches by artist Matthew Langille. Which got me curious about his illustrations. They are adorable and hilarious, perfect mix if you ask me!

Statement necklaces and this beautiful styling make me want to go against my simple accessory self. I always seem to be so drawn to beautiful statement chunky jewelry but once I buy something or get it on I always feel like its not me. These are gorgeous though and think I would just suck it up so I could wear any of these with a simple tee shirt of a solid color simple dress. Also the Lizzie Fortunato Jewels are all just stunning is so worth taking a look at past collections!

I so want one of these Mac laptop cases. Byrd and Belle are a featured seller this week on Etsy, so I'm sure you've all seen these, however I love them and really want one. Angie Davis the woman behind these little masterpieces says something that I love in her interview. "I never set out to make something just to have someone buy it and I don’t make something just because I have the materials on hand. I try to be as true to my design sensibility because in the end, I think it makes not only the best product but an enjoyable process."

Boy was the reception fun, I can't stop looking at all the pictures from it because they are all so hilarious. My mom painted all the Goose Grease wedding toppers! We also did the whole bridal party so each person took home there little "me". It was the cutest, I think I screamed when I saw the cake table with all of the little mini people on it! I have to say the night flew by I don't even know how 4 hours ended up feeling like 1 hour. Incredible day all together. Now lets get back to regular posts shall we!! Everyone have a wonderful weekend.

So due to the rain we went into a green house on the grounds for photos after! I thought it actually turned out really cool! We look like we are in the amazon. From upstate NY to Costa Rica in 5 minutes, not a bad trade for the gorgeous outdoor garden. So we didn't get a lot of the type of photos I was looking for but I thought what we did get was pretty!

With my dad

Upstate NY isn't known for their weather. However the rain brought something that I never expected. First of all my limo ride to the ceremony site was unbelievable. I have the most amazing bridesmaids anyone could ever ask for. The girls cheered on the rain and gave me so much strength and champagne ;o) not to lose it over the weather! I knew going into all the planning it was a gamble with the weather, I knew the chances of rain or even snow (haha just kidding). I made the call at 2:30 to keep the wedding where it was, I will never forget everyone tracking the weather minute by minute! Thank god I bought this really awesome umbrella! The ceremony was rushed, but truly felt like dream.

As soon as my Dad and I started to walk, my music started to play. It was so silent out like the calmness before the storm (i know its not an oman), it was magical, there was a tiny rumble of thunder and all that I could think about is that I going to remember this moment for the rest of my life. I looked down the isle and there was the sweetest face you had ever seen, I felt like nothing could have been more perfect for us! WE got married and made it to this photograph location JUST in time.

The big day! I really loved my photographer Doug Llyod. Not only was he great but really made the day fun. I never felt intruded upon and he always kept me laughing which I think is so important.

My dress! I never really searched that long for my dress I went to two shops and instantly knew when I put it on. In my head I really wanted a modern dress but ended up with something very traditional and simple with a little bit whimsy! The girls dresses were from J.Crew and I think I literally picked them out the day I got engaged! You can't really tell from the photos but the dresses were an almost highlighter yellow. Which then got me thinking about lemons! I love lemons so that kinda became my very subtle theme through out.

For the flowers I just really wanted something with bright and cheery for summer but still wanted the bouquets to be kinda wild flower. When they arrived I have to say I gasped and couldn't believe how they turned out. Just gorgeous.

All of the wedding goodies came together in the end! Sadly and happily it rained on our wedding. So a couple of the projects weren't used to their fullest at the wedding. Rice never was thrown, my little flower garland never got beautifully photographed, and my programs didn't get placed on each chair. The day however I feel turned out just beautiful and the only thing the mattered in the end was that I married my best friend. I still had lots of fun seeing all the work that went into each project come together!

The invites in the begining of my planning stages was one of the most exciting things to me, and being a designer I felt as though they were the most important things that set the tone for the entire wedding. Little did I know it ended up being the biggest challenge for me decision wise. I probably had about 10 different designs going! Finally I just decided! I wanted something simple with pretty textures and nice paper. I didn't have a budget for letterpress but I think by adding some other elements it didn't matter in the end.
