Many of our scrapbook friends have been in to see this wonderful collection and had to shop out of a crate, but now you can come in and visit them in their new home.

At our retreat we had a chance to play with them a little and we have some amazing samples up in the store for you to see. Regan, Deanna, Joanne, Karan and myself have all contributed. Here are some snapshots of them, but they look much better in person.

We have also re-stocked our shelves with Zing embossing powder (the best on the market), Dew Drops, and all the colours in the rainbow of the Memento inks. Karan did an amazing job designing this double-page using the fabulous fall collection from Little Yellow Bicycle. It is full of texture and techniques. Our favourite element is the addition of corrugated cardboard for matting and to make a pumpkin (shown on pg 2). The cardboard is totally transformed using Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and it gives the layout a very rustic look.

Join us on Monday in the workshop or you can order a kit. If you are joining us for the class please be sure to bring your basic supplies along with Glossy Accents, foam adhesive, glue dots, an edge distressing tool, a glitter pen and a brown ink pad.

The cost for the class is $22. If you order a kit the fee is $24 and will include a photo and full instructions for you to complete the layout on your own. The kits will also have the Glimmer Misting done for you.

Christmas Cards With Regan
Wednesday, November 11th
6:30 pm - 9 pm

We are welcoming Regan to our team and she will be teaching this amazing Christmas card workshop where you will create 8 beautiful cards that include a variety of techniques and designs! The adhesive will hold it in place as you go. You will have to experiment a bit with how much to 'round' it as you go, but you will want to finish with the ends meeting and overlapping slightly. You now have your flower! It is as simple as that.

Now all you have to do is add a button, brad or other embellishment to the center and you have a gorgeous flower for your next scrapbook page or card.

I used this technique to create flowers for a recent layout I did and I love how they match the look and feel of the page.

I hope you give this simple technique a try - it's fun and easy!

Spooky Key Tag Days!

October Key Tag Days are this weekend! Christmas. I've come up with a little project that will put your holiday cards out of the way and on display.

Supplies you'll need:

~Various raw chipboard shapes, anything will do: squares, circles, trees, snowflakes. I've used Fancy Pants. Depending on size, 3-5 shapes will work and you will need one smaller chipboard piece to anchor the bottom.
~Glossy accents, ink, stickles, glitter pen, glimmer mist, paint etc
~Holiday papers (I've used Fancy Pants Christmas Magic), rubons and embellishments
~coordinating wide shear ribbon

<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5393897064082166674" style="margin: 0px auto 10px; You will need: Foam Thickers, waxed paper, a background stamp, Versamark, an embossing gun.

Wet your stamp with the Versamark, this will keep it from sticking to the Thickers and ruining your stamp or the Thickers.

Place your desired letters onto waxed paper. This retains their stickiness while allowing you to work away from your finished project. Heat the Thickers until they begin to curl (sorry for the lousy picture but you get the idea). As you can see I practiced on an "x" first.

Immediately press your wet stamp into the letters, pressing firmly for a minute or so.
