It is nice to start the week with devotional. Here is our meditation for today. Enjoy reading.

It is finished. John 19:30.

From the manger to the cross Satan followed the Son of God. Temptations beat upon Him like a tempest. But the more fierce the conflict, the more familiar He became with the temptations wherewith human beings are beset, and the better prepared He was to succor the tempted. The severity of the trial through which Christ passed was proportionate to the value of the object to be gained or lost by His success or failure. Not merely the interests of one world were involved. This world was the battlefield, but all the worlds that God had created were affected by the result of the conflict.

In order that he might reign as supreme ruler, Satan sought to overthrow Christ. And he planned and carried out the murder of Christ for no other reason than that to the last he entertained the hope that Christ would not endure a death made as horrible as infernal wisdom could make it. He endeavored to prove the correctness of his assertion that Christ was not self-sacrificing.

Actuated by satanic influences, the crowd clamored for the crucifixion of Christ. All heaven watched the successive steps of Christ’s humiliation—His trial, rejection, and death. When on the cross He exclaimed, “It is finished,” the warfare was ended. The blood of the Innocent was shed for the guilty. The life that He gave up ransomed the human race from eternal death and sealed the doom of him who had the power of death—the devil.

Satan sought to make it appear that he was working for the liberty of the universe. Even while Christ was on the cross, the enemy was determined to make his arguments so varied, so deceptive, so insidious, that all would be convinced that God’s law was tyrannical. He himself laid every scheme, planned every evil, inflamed every mind to bring affliction on Christ. He himself instigated the false accusations against One who had done only good. He himself inspired the cruel deeds that added to the suffering of the Son of God—the pure, the holy, the innocent.

By this course of action Satan has forged a chain by which he himself will be bound. The heavenly universe will bear witness to the justice of God in punishing him. Heaven itself saw what heaven would be if he were in it. The hearts of all in the heavenly universe were united in regarding God’s law as changeless. They supported the government of Him who, to redeem the transgressor, spared not His own Son from suffering the penalty of sin.

In His ministry, Christ by word and deed vindicated the honor of God’s law. It was for this purpose that He came into the world.—Manuscript 1, 1902. {CTr 290.7}

A minute ago, while I was updating my blog I heard somebody knocking at the door. To be honest with you it scared me when people knocks the door and to think that I am not expecting for a visitor yet. I turned off the light in our lounge and peeped through the window checking who was knocking the door. I was surprised, it was a policewoman. I did not open the front door but I rushed to the side door kitchen and went out asking the policewoman what I could help.

The British policewoman came to me and “sorry to bother you but we are investigating for a bicycle that was stolen on the 11th of January, 2012 and it was parked in the garden at house number 16. Have you seen anybody stealing the bicycle?” I answered, “Sorry, I don’t have any idea about this matter”.

The 2 policewoman kept knocking door to door to investigate. At the moment, I am still shaking due to that policewoman who knocked the door.

This may sounds funny but true. I am a bit fraidy-cat every time I am left all alone by myself because hubby is on duty.

Hubby's first home made vegan pizza

My husband is ever so sweet. I asked him to make vegan pizza because I did crave for a slice that time. Without any reservations, he went to the kitchen and started sorting out stuff and eventually started making the base while the wifey was sat comfortably in the lounge putting her feet up watching television.

After an hour, hubby called so that I could try his vegan pizza. OH! It was so delicious and healthy. His pizza was made of pineapple, mushroom, vegan sausages for toppings. Sauce : Made of organic beetroot,basil, sweet chili, peppers, tomato and the rest I did not ask hubby. Base: made up of garlic, green beans, wheat flour ( i dont know the rest though)...:)

One of the previous gifts my husband and I received this “Christmas” is accommodating a person whom we don’t know at all. She came to England to work but was asked to leave the work by her landlord because this lady refused to work on Sabbath because she honoured the Seventh-Day Sabbath as a Seventh Day Adventist. She left the job and was homeless. Upon hearing this news, my husband and I felt sorry for her. Since we have two extra bedrooms, we agreed to accommodate and feed her until she gets on with her feet.

At home, we came to know her deeper and treating her as our sister by blood.

In parallel, I could remember the story of Jesus Christ when his mother Mary gave birth to Baby Jesus in a manger because nobody offered a place for her to give birth.

Beloved, we are God’s children now; what we will be has not yet been revealed. What we do know is this: when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him as he is. 1 John 3:2, NRSV.

First John 3:1-3 quoted.] Here John has a view of the measureless love of an infinite God. John cannot find language to express it, and he calls upon the world to behold it. There were types and shadows that prefigured Christ in the Old Testament. Those who had been with Christ through His ministry recorded His works in the New Testament. For three and a half years the disciples were learning lessons from the lips of Christ, the greatest Teacher the world ever knew. . . . What brought Him here? Adam and Eve had transgressed the law of God in Eden.

Christ looked upon our world before He came to it, and He saw that Satan’s power was exercised upon the human family. And because of the transgression of Adam he claimed the whole human family. He pointed to their calamities and diseases and reflected them upon God. He said God would have no mercy upon them and they might as well be under his control. Jesus had enlisted to give His own life for the salvation of the human race. He laid aside His royal robe and royal crown that He might clothe humanity with divinity.

Since the law of God was transgressed, the sentiment prevailed that it was impossible for human beings to keep the law of God. . . . The human and divine were combined in Jesus Christ. He came to our world to elevate humanity in the scale of moral value with God. He passed over the ground where Adam fell. He stood against the temptations of Satan and came off conqueror. He [Satan] approached the Son of God as an angel of light, just as he may tempt you.

Jesus Christ came off conqueror in the wilderness of temptation. When upon Jordan’s banks, He offered such a prayer to heaven as heaven had never listened to before. His prayer penetrated through the darkness around Him and reached the highest heavens. The heavens were opened and the Holy Spirit, in appearance like a dove of burnished gold, descended upon Him, and from the lips of the Infinite One was heard these words, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” We have not understood how much this was saying to us. You are “accepted in the beloved.”.

Christ came here to our atom of a world, and He honored it by taking human nature upon Himself. He honored humanity in the sight of all the created intelligences.—Manuscript 16, 1893.

It is a heartbreaking news about the flash floods in some parts of the Mindanao Philippines just this weekend that had gone passed. People are unprepared for this event that was why the death tool was rising so high and even the missing lists are still so many. I hope and pray that all well be well by God's grace.

Yesterday was my day off and I was exhausted doing household chores while hubby was at work. I have been cleaning, ironing (which until now I have still loads to iron yet) and the most exciting part was baking. I do love baking nowadays and yesterday I decided to make a vegan pizza base made of soya bean pulp and carrot pulp. After baking the base, I was sorting out what to put on as toppings. Here is the photo of what I’ve just made. This is so simple, yet so healthy and delicious.

You need to cognitively touch their interest by promoting stuff that children loves and even liked nowadays.
