Lange Voorhout street in The Hague is an open museum until 8 September 2013.

The exposition ' Russia XXI. Hedendaagse beeldhouwkunst uit Rusland ' shows in different places in the area of The Hague sculptural artworks by 37 Russian modern artists.

Their delicate sculptural pieces is part of ' 2013 the Dutch-Russian Year '.

'Brilliant Ideas' by artist Nikolay Polissky.

Material and surrounding nature is an acceptable standard of art for the 'country artist' Nikolay Pollisky who was born in 1957 in Moscow and studied at Leningrand Industrial Art School.

One of the biggest artwork by Nikolay Polissky is created in the countryside of the village Nikola Levinets 200 km west from Moscow.Through that the village became famous all over the world of its contemporary artworks. There in 1989 in collaboration with local residents he created an other view of life for these people. Through Polissky's art projects they find out the truly meaning and beauty of art when it's combined with the meaning and beauty of nature.

The traveling exhibition in Brussels (from 19 April until 26 May 2013)  called ´United States of Europe´ and tried to find answers about people´s truly connection with today´s Europe.
Answers through personal meetings with simple people of different European countries about their consciously identification with the European identity.
Socialogical studies, intervews, video, writting stories, discussions, photos and artworks by artists from Poland, Finland, Lithuania, Portugal, Cyprus, Germany, Bulgaria, France, Ireland and Belgium
are included to 'United States of Europe' that had its main point at Carrefour de l' Europe' square in Brussels.
Part of Culture Programme and supported by European Commission the project based on the idea to present the different interpretations and personal feelings of people through their evaluation of the status of European economic and cultural integration.

' A connection' is site-specific public space installations. The artist presented new site-specific installations related to the space for the United States of Europe exhibition. The work called ' Where is my home?'is a house made of bags and luggage of different kind.It can be seen as a small house that is collapsing or that is not completely constructed. The piece tells a story about the construction of the EUbut also different kind of people and states trying to live together, but its difficult.

According to the Partner Consortium the project exhibition ' United States of Europa' consisted of matters like ' Do you feel European? Feel more or less European an inhabitant of Ireland than someone who lives in France or Cyprus. And if is so why? What is the idea behind and do Europeans feeling included? Do Europeans trust their leaders?

With the title ' Stories from Europe' the project ' United States of Europe' presented also very special personal opinions of people that took part at the project 'Travelling Exhibition about European identity and today's Europe' .

Sinziana Ravini went to France, she studied French literature, German literature, art history in Moscow where she met a French man and she fell in love with him. Now they are married and live in Paris.

She said '...The circleis closed and I am feeling home almost everywhere. But this European normadism is a privilege that not many of us have, and I am more interested than ever to organise exhibitions that could bridge our intercultural gaps.

' United States of Europe ' is an attempt to do so.

'YVES SAINT LAURENT- VISIONAIR' exhibition in Brussels.
The famous fashion disigner who not only gave a modern new face to woman from the 20 century but discovered also her contemporary attitute in combination with her appearence represent in Brussels.

The designer who is regarded as one of the most important names of the fashion history discovered through his 100 creations from those more than 80 never had been shown before.
Born in Algeria in 1936 he liked from very early years to designe dolls from paper and clothes for his mother and sisters. He was 18 years old when he met Cristian Dior in Paris and followed him as a student follow an amazing teacher. He had spent only one year at the House of Dior when his 'master' at age 52 years old died of heart attack. Yves Sain Laurent was only 21 years old to be the head designer of the House of Cristian Dior SA but according to his master willing he was the only one who was capable of running that extremely difficult position.

Wassily Kandinsky was born in Moscow in 1866 and died in 1944 left behind an extremely influential art in the history of art. The artist who spent his childhood in Odessa, studied at the University of Moscow low and economy began studies of art unusally late. He was already 30 years old when decided to paint life-drawing, sketching and anatomy. He enrolled studies of art at The Academy of Fine Art in Mounich in 1896 where he lived and worked but he returned to Moscow due outbreak of World War I. He stayed in his country not long enough. The artistic world of Moscow didn't regard him positive and it considered that Kandinsky was not seriously painter on his abstract way of painting. He returned into Germany in 1920 and he taught art and architecture till 1933 when he moved to France, became France citizen and he lived there until the last period of his life. He died in Russia( Neuilly-sur-Seine).

The famous artist throughout the word who found the abstract art and put the basic regels for the modern inspiration of art in the 20th century was exhibited in Brussels before 100 years. In 1913 Kandinsky was shown at The George Giroux Gallery and nowdays his works are presented at the cultural centre of Brussels.

Father of the contemporary art Kandinsky gave his name to the newly created Award through the Art Chronica Culture Foundation Wassily Kandinsky. Organized to developed the Russian contemporary Art Wassily Kandinsy Prize was given out for the first time in 2004 at the Winzavod Contempory Art Center in Moscow and project of the year awarded 10.000 euros.

200 artworks that are the result of the artistic career of the ´bad boy´of the contemporary art American Mike Kelley(1952-2012) presented at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam till 1 April 2013.

His considerably contribution to the contemporary art that was exhibited for the first time at 'Metro Pictures' in Manhattan (NY) in 1982 and at Rosamund Gallery in Los Angeles the next year gain international recognition.

Kelley's work embraces all the opposites sides of American culture and all the aggression, tragedy and humor in the American dream.The Los Angeles artist who was a founder of the Detroit Group Destroy All Monsters was inspired by diverse sources such as history, philosophy, politics, underground music, decorative arts and experimented trough class and gender issues and normality, criminality or perversion to find out the ways of his deal with truly art.
Kelley who graduated in 1976 from the university of Michigan and moved to Los Angeles in 1978 to attend the California Institute of the Arts started to work using different media such as drawing, painting, sculpture, performance,video and writing. Later he get used to work with blankets, dolls and toys and in 1995 he produced ' Educational Complex ' than architectural model of the Institutions in which he had studied.

Mike Kelley died in 2012. He was 57 years old. Los Antgeles newspaper wrote: " Mike Kelley an influential Los Angeles artist whose physically messy and phychologically complex projects laid the groundwork for present-day installation art , has died.
He was found dead in his home in South Pasadena in what several friends described as a suicide pending an autopsy or coroner's report', said art historian John Welchman.
The career of Kelley took off first ( after 1980) in Europa special in France and Germany and much later in the United States because of Americans rather surprising way of interpretation of his unusually art.
The artist last performance video was Vice Anglais 2011. The Mike Kelley Foundation for the Arts was found by the artist in 2008 before his death and it follow his plans and his wishes about young modern artists.

Actually one of the last ice-skating days during the very cold weather of January is over but the Dutch people
that their ' love affair' with the ice skating began from the 13th or 14th century is a never ending task.

Despite suggests that the first ice skating took place in Finland three hundred years ago the edges to ice skate were invented by the Dutch in the 13th and 14th century. They were made of steal and they have been stayed the same until now.

It is said that because ice skating was so popular to the folk in the Netherlands when James II of England came to The Netherlands in exile fell also in the sport. From January 2013 depicts Vermeer's legacy at the house of the little street( het straatje) in which according to the Delft professor F.H.Krenger is the location of Vermeer's Centre in Delft.
At the house in which he was born in 1623 the artefacts dating back to Johannes Vermeer life and work.

The exhibition Vermeer's legacy offer a unique insight into the details of every days life of the great artist that were found at the location where now the Vermeer Centre stands. These artefacts as baked earthenware oil lamp, wooden paint box and others were used in 15th century and 16th century.

Art historians even the most claim that Johannes Vermeer is a master of light had been given to him different characteristics on the way which he used the colours.
Vermeer produced transparent colours and his paintings offer few clues to preparatory methodes. Others have speculated that Vermeer used a camera obscura to select exactly his subjects and they noticed that this view is supported by certain light and so it gave better effects. Others said that his methods of working was inspired by Vermeer's understanding of Leonardo's Da Vintsi observations that the surface of every object take part of the colour of the adjacent object.
In any case the Dutch painter and the master of light as he named of the most art historians was specialized in domestic interior scenes of middle class and didn't recognize during his life time but very later.

Enormously productive and creative despite his early death only at age of 37 Raphael regarded as one of the most important artists of the movement High Renaissance. The most of his significant art-works were found in the Apostolic Palace of the Vatican where the Raphael Rooms were the top artistically larger part of his career.
The most famous work of Raphael titled 'The school of Athens' and it's part of Stanza della Segnatura in the Vatican.
His career and artistic life can be divided in three phases and three periods. In Umbria as a child, from 1504- 1508 in Florence surrounding taking in its traditional art and culture and his last glorious period in Rome which contained twelve years working beside of two Popes. Pope Julius II- commissioned by him to fresco Pope's private library at the Vatican Palace- and after Julius death in 1513 he continued his work by the Medici Pope Leo X.

Charles Dickens (1812-1870) the author who changed a lot of terrible social circumstances in the period of his life as a result of his significant novels against them he was alive again in Deventer's 'Charles Dickens Festival 2012".

The most important of Charles Dickens is that he wasn't only a writer of the Victorian period even if he regarded as the most significant one of that time but also a social critic who depicted the inequitable and unjust way of life during his time.
Born in Portsmouth, England the creator and great writer who even thought he had a little formal education succeeded to write 15 important novels and hundreds of small stories and to change because of these the unacceptable circumstances for children's rights, education and other matters of a distinctly and unequal social environment.

An extremely colouful and bright exhibition titled " Dare to Wear " got light at the Crypt Gallery of St Pancras Church in London.
Twenty six artists filled the peaceful place of Crypt Gallery of St Pancras Church that used for coffin burials from 1822 with an exhibition of lost discarded objects transformed in pieces of art.

The St. Pancras Church is a Greek revival church (ionic order) and drew on the historical monuments in Athens the Erechtheum and the Tower of the Winds.
The church is one of the most important 19th century churches in England and recently is used as the location for the University College London Christmas orchestra performance.

Arnold Newman's considering of the surrounding of his subject was given to him the title of the father of environmental portraiture. The art of the American famous photographer who was also well known for his portraits of Igor Stravinsky, composer and conductor, Piet Mondrian, Dutch painter, Marilyn Monroe, Pablo Picasso, John F. Kennedy and other celebrities exhibits at the Photo museum in the Hague through 150 original prints which brought over the USA.

Well known as a modernist the American photographer who was born in Manhattan and studied painting and drawing with an introduction in Modernism at the University of Miami he has been admired for his capability to combine his subject with its sense of life.

Relocated to New York in 1946 he worked as a freelance photographer for Fortune, Life and Newsweek magazines.

His best known images were in black and white and one of these the portrait of Igor Stravinsky close to a grand piano became his signature picture.

at Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium includes 36 contemporary busts- artworks in traditional waxes and bronzes of the internationally reputed virtual artist and theatre maker.
The presentation of the Jan Fabre artwork at the Royal Museum in Brussels from 12 October to 27 January 2013 is a serial of amazing heads with ears and and horns of animals.
Jan Fabre who was born in Antwerp, Belgium is not only an well known artist but also a famous play-writer, stage director, choreographer and designer. He studied at the Municipal Institute of Decorative Arts and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp and between 1976 and 1980 he started his theatrical career with scripts for theather and performances.

Jan Faber he had been chosen by the Nieuwe Kerk to show an ensemble of his art works as films, live performances and a sculpture which was never shown before in Amsterdam.

According to the Belgian artist his presentation as a Kerkmeester 2012 " had an imaginative appeal to me. The Nieuwe Kerk is the best well known church in Amsterdam and attract more visotors than the other church in the city....Churches have always served as conceptual models in my mind. They are spiritual places where life simultaneously celebrated and relinquished in the expectation of another dimension.....In the concept I have developed for the ' Kerkmesteer Amsterdam 2012" I have also drawn inspiration from the organ with the case by Jacob van Camben, painted by Jan Gerritsz, van Bronckhorst.

For " Searching for Utopia" the artist was inspired by the book Utopia written by the English statesman and humanist Thomas More in 1516 describing an imaginary island with an ideal political system. Fabre in ' Searching of Utopia' depicts himself riding a huge tortoise looking out to sea for the island Utopia. About the matter of choosing a tortoise he said that "....the desired destination should be reached at a leisurely pace than in a rush..."

Charles John Huffam Dickens writer and social critic is regarded as the most important novelist of the Victorian period.
Author of 15 novels and much more of little stories Charles Dickens who was born (1812-1870) in Portsmouth, England became famous in 1836 with The Pickwick Papers.
A Christmas Carol written in 1843, David Copperfield, Oliver Twist, A Tale of Two Cities (1859), Great Expectations ( 1861) and so many others novels written by him not only made him a well-liked writer of the time being but has also been given him the important title of ' the greatest creator of character in English fiction after Shakespeare.
