We had a great turnout at the UDHA Day at the Capitol last Friday. Thank you to those that joined us and have already contacted your legislators. We are now asking all hygienists to email their legislators with HB0460 in the subject line. You can use the template that explains this bill that would allow for RDHs to be directly reimbursed from Medicaid. Whether you work in public health where this bill is especially important or not, please take a moment to make contact with your legislator because this elevates our profession as a whole.

You can find your legislators emails by going to le.utah.gov Click on the legislators tab and then search by address/map.

It is Friday, February 2 from 9am to 4pm at the Dental Clinic (10894 S River Front Pkwy, South Jordan, Utah 84095). Dental screenings and cleanings will be provided FREE to children ages 18 and under in an effort to raise awareness about the importance of oral healthcare and to help stop the spread of untreated dental decay. Those who attend the event will also leave with a voucher for free x-rays, exam and $50 of care which may be used at the Dental Clinic at Roseman University for future treatment. The voucher is non-transferable and must be used within 12 months of event. No appointments necessary!
