The Bulls spotted San Jose State a 16-point lead before rallying for a 42-22 win in Week Zero, and managed only seven first-half points in Saturday's lackluster 31-17 victory against FCS foe Stony Brook. Additionally, two USF punts already have been blocked (one for a TD).

The original start time was noon. The earlier start — and a halftime shortened to 15 minutes — is meant to help the Bulls arrive back in Tampa early Saturday evening, presumably before the bay area feels any potentially severe effects from Hurricane Irma.

Actual attendance for USF's home opener Saturday against Stony Brook was the lowest for a Bulls home debut in 13 years. The Tampa Sports Authority reported Sunday 18,302 fans actually passed through the Raymond James Stadium turnstiles.
