Social media tools, especially Facebook, have become as important as having a website. But now that you have a Facebook page, a Linkedin profile, or a Twitter account, how do you know anyone is actually listening? Are you actually engaging your audience? Attend this session to learn how to use social media effectively, even when time and resources are limited.

Track who is engaging with your social media sites and what they are doing.
Fine tune your social media identity to reach your intended audience.
Create goals that tie your social media strategy to your organization's mission.

This CTL module satisfies the requirement for a professional designation in logistics and supply chain management. The purpose of the PLS is to recognize individuals that have completed a course of study examining the strategies for improving logistics and supply chain operations and are seeking to apply this knowledge within their profession.

Interested in teaching online but not quite sure what comprises a good online course? Want to incorporate some best practices of online learning into your face-to-face classes or even take a step further and teach a fully online course?

K-12 Online Teaching: Best Practices, a fully online six-week workshop provided by the UW-Superior Educational Leadership Department and the Center for Continuing Education is a great place to start!

Designed to fulfill the professional development requirement of Wisconsin State Statute 118.19(13) and based upon the National Standards for Quality Online Teaching (iNACOL, 2011), this course will assist any teacher interested in understanding the benefits and challenges of providing online learning to K-12 students in a virtual or blended environment.

The course will be facilitated by Teacher Education Assistant Professor, Dr. Mary Churchill, an experienced online instructor and 25-year veteran of the Duluth Public Schools. All teachers who successfully complete the workshop requirements will be provided with documentation that they have met the 30 hour requirement required of K-12 online teachers in Wisconsin.

Teaching and Learning in Youth Choirs
