A new technology called Li-Fi (Light Fidelity) promises connections up to 100 times faster than Wi-Fi.The term Li-Fi was first coined by Prof Harald Haas from Edinburgh University, who demonstrated the technology at a Ted (Technology, Entertainment and Design) conference in 2011. His talk, which has now been watched nearly two million times, showed an LED lamp streaming video. Prof Haas described a future when billions of light bulbs could become wireless hotspots. In Li-Fi method the data will be deliver by using the visible spectrum rather than radio waves. Li-Fi can deliver internet access 100 times faster than traditional Wi-Fi.In this Li-Fi method is the use of specialized LED driver chips. These can dim and brighten LEDs encoding data much like a fast form of Morse code. The entire process happens so fast that it is completely imperceptible to humans.

Advantages of Li-Fi over Wi-Fi

Even then, there is a more important question. Why do we need an alternative means of connecting to the Internet when Wi-Fi works so well? Wi-Fi is indeed a great success, says Mr. Haas, so much so that the radio spectrum is getting overcrowded. We have deployed so many wireless access points that they interfere with each other and slow down the actual data rates. We need other pipes, fatter pipes, and light is a big pipe for wireless connectivity.
Security benefits. He also maintains that there are security benefits. Light-generated Internet connections do not travel through walls, so cannot be intercepted like a Wi-Fi signal. The professor looks forward to a future where the much-hyped Internet of things becomes a reality; where there is wireless connectivity everywhere; where your fridge talks to your toaster. This provides the means to achieve that.

People's misconception about Li-Fi working.

People would be forgiven for thinking that staying online with Li-Fi would need the lights left on. Haas’s Li-Fi system is so sensitive that he’s demonstrated it working with LED bulbs dimmed to such low levels that they appear turned off.

“Currently so many companies designed a smart lighting solution for an industrial environment where the data communication is done through light. They are also doing a pilot project with a private client where we are setting up a Li-Fi network to access the Internet in their office space.”However, Velmenni was not the only company interested in bringing Li-Fi to the real world. Other names, such as Oledcomm and pureLiFi by the creator of technology Harald Haas, are also working to commercialize the technology. As Li-Fi is based on light, it cannot go through walls and would have a more limited range than Wi-Fi – which also means greater security.

There has been 19 public sector banks participating in this exam.

Exam Details :

There has been two exams in order to get a job in bank sector. The candidate must and should clear two round tests to be placed in banks. The exams were : Preliminary test and Main Exam . Dates are also different for both exams. We will find a lot of period in order to prepare for Main Exams.

Preliminary Exam Dates : December 5 , 6 , 12 and 13 , 2015

Main Exam : January 2 and 3 , 2016

Important Dates :

Registration starts from August 11 to September 1, 2015

Eligibility :

In order to apply IBPS Clerk Exam 2015 , it is compulsory for candidates to satisfy the following conditions

Age : Candidate age should be in between Min 20 years to 28 Years. Age relaxation for SC/ST is 5 years and for OBC is 3 years.

Education : Candidate should complete Degree as on 1 / 9 / 2015 or before applying IBPS Clerk Exam.

Language : Candidate should be fluent in their state language from which state they are going to apply.

Knowledge : Extra Computer Knowledge is necessary to work.

Bharti Airtel Launches 4G in Bangalore

The telecom company Bharti Airtel launches 4G facility first time in Banglore in collaboration with Apple corporation.

Airtel customers in Bangalore on Apple iPhone 5s or 5c will be able to experience 4G on their mobile at the current 3G prices. Airtel is the first operator to launch 4G for the first time in the country, which has already launched in Bangalore, Kolkata, Pune and Chandigarh. Soon going to extend its service to whole country.

"Customers have to just change their existing SIM to a 4G SIM to start enjoying 4G on mobile without any need to migrate from their existing data plan," it said. And soon it will bring 4G service across the country (added).

Besides, heavy data users can avail the new 4G plan giving customers 10 GB 4G data for Rs 1,000. While data browsing will be on 4G network, voice calls will be routed on 2G/3G seamlessly with the CSFB (circuit switched fall back) technology, Airtel said.

Other operators like Reliance Jio and Videcon and Idea are expected to launch 4G services in 2014 in the country.
