This was the biggest car show I've ever been to, which previously I thought the same about the one in Everett, a month earlier-which rocked!

Pictures will be posted soon, but for several days I had some issues with the computer at home, where I can't access several Google services, with the exception of email, even that is one and off, and until that is resolved pictures will have to wait for now...

This is the regular weekly cruise-in of hot rods & classics in the parking lot at 196th & 44th ave NE in Lynnwood from 3:00ish till dusk almost every Friday of the year, when the weather is nice and sun is out, with the exception of rainy, snowy, or other ugly or severe weather.

Cruizin' to Colby car show-May 25, 2009

This is the annual car show in downtown Everett, within walking distance from the waterfront, and my first time there. As I remember, I heard about the show being held on Colby Avenue-hence the name, but that was a year before, in 2008, and only days after it was held, thus missing it, and promised myself that the following year, in '09, I'll make sure to check it out, and I'm glad I did, because it was just phenomenal: jampacked with rides of all kinds, makes and models, from early 1900's to today's more modernistic, customized and souped rides. That was THE biggest car show, I've ever been to, which was like walking into a candy market, only filled with cars of all colors, and sweet to the eyes, making you wish you owned one more than the other.

Now that I'm slowly catching up, and posted almost all of the pictures from 2006, 2007 and pictures from 2008 still to be added as I have to decide which way to transfer those pics from the SD cards to the computer, since my camera has suddenly died, and am expecting to add them quickly.

This week the first pictures from 2009 should be posted, starting with the Old Rides car show in Issaquah from May '09.

Kirkland Classic Car Show-July 20 2008

This was at the classic car show in downtown Kirkland, and part of Kirkland Uncorked festival happening every year, every two years or so, the tall ship Lady Washington, stops by at the downtown marina, and it looks like next year-2011 it might be her next visit there, since it was last year in '09 and I missed it, what a bummer.

This was basically part deux of classic cars & hot rods that I went to check out in 2008 and it was a pretty big show, stretching on several streets downtown and awesome weather.

Car shows- July 2008

Well, finally getting here, to 2008, and all the hottest rides spotted back then. I have been to only 2 car shows, as I recall, where I've taken pretty much all of the pictures with classic, muscle cars & hot rods that year.

The first photos were taken at the 4th of July parade in downtown Bothell, and it looks like one of the main attractions were the military vehicles, most from WW II, some very much restored and brought to the condition they were originally more than 60 years ago, and with drivers in full uniform to blend more fully with the olive green of the vehicles.

One of the things I liked about that was the vintage military motorcycle, which is awesome.

Random spottings-Termite's Delight-August 2007

Cool little enclosed truck with box made of some kind of wood, and decorated with an appropriate sign on it: Termite's Delight. No kidding. Sorry for the poor quality of pictures, but at the time, my camera had its LCD display cracked, so nothing was displayed on it, so i had to guesstimate the settings by memorizing how to set exposure and zoom, among others, in my mind, and remembering the last settings before them, in a way like working with a film camera, where you would try to set the camera exposure and zoom, based on how skilled and how good you were taking pictures up to that point, and now being able to see the actual photos until they were printed, hours or days later. This is what I had to work with here, and had no idea that the exposure on the camera at that time was set in such a way that I would too much light recorded. If I happen to see this cool truck again, I'll definitely take some better pictures, & post them here.
