Perfect Events and Media Promotions, a budding entertainment and event management company, inaugurated their newly constructed office at Bhopalpura M-Road. The traditional inauguration ceremony was conducted via the hands of a girl child.

Surya Prakash Suhalka, one of the directors of the company, informed that soon Perfect Events will organize various entertaining programs and events in the city. The company will do celebrity shows, movie promotions, adventure activities, royal weddings and musical events.

Besides events, Perfect group has also opened different section for media promotions and ‘propmaart’ to focus on real estate business.

The 1.5 Crore street children in India are leading a life as miserable as it can be seen. Getting into all wrong habits of drugs, exploitation, theft, beggary, child labour etc. these children are leading a life what their parents lived and may be there parents too. The past has been tense, but is the future perfect for these children who belong to streets of most of the metros. ???

While Bhartiya Janta Party’s statewide strike to support Gulabchand Kataria remained successful today, local residents faced multiple problems due to the strike which disrupted business, transportation and other facilities.

BJP blamed Congress for misusing Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for framing false allegations against Kataria in planning Soharbuddin’s fake encounter. At the other end, Congress party workers organized a ‘Sadh Budhhi Yagya’ for BJP and Kataria.

Since morning, BJP activists held mass protest at several places in the city and forcibly closed business enterprises. A large number of BJP activists blocked the Balicha highway for many hours causing traffic jam.

Tyres were burnt at different places of the city as a sign of demonstration against Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and CBI.

All top local leaders of BJP supported the strike and demanded justice for Gulabchand Kataria.

Emergency services were left out of the strike and remained unaffected. Examinations were also conducted in all engineering and MBA colleges affiliated to RTU.

Members of Marble Association of Udaipur also supported the strike to protest against the framing of charges against Vimal Patni, director of R.K Marble. It may be noted that Patni’s name also featured in the CBI charge sheet along with Gulabchand Kataria.

An attempt of theft was reported from a house at Kushal Bagh near Keshav Nagar today. Though, everything was found scattered in the house but nothing was found missing. N.P Mathew, owner of the house has been out of the city since last few days.

The incident was first discovered by neighbor of Mathew, Thomas Khusi who was taking care of the house in absence of Mathew and used to come every day for a check.

Today when Thomas Khusi came to Mathew’s house, he saw that the main gate of the house was open. Upon entering inside, Thomas saw that everything in the house was scattered and cupboards were also left open. Thomas immediately informed N.P Mathew over phone.

Fortunately, there was nothing found missing from the house. No police complaint has been lodged yet.N.P Mathew, who retired from Income Tax Department, is in Kerala with his family to attend a marriage.

According to Bhupendra Singh Ahuwa, Vice Secretary-Administration, Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation, the zone-D of Zanana Mahal has been developed as a Music Gallery with the financial aid received from Ministry of Culture, Indian Government.

23 Royal musical instruments that are nearly Hundred years old will be exhibited in the gallery. Seema Rathore, President of Department of Music, Meera Girls College has provided details about all the instruments.

Instruments to be kept in the exhibition include: Baby Violin with bow, Kamchya, Manjeera, Tabla Daga pair, Pakhavaj, Indian Banjo, Harmonium (used with the help of feet), Model of Sitar, Taos, Sitar, Flat Sitar, Sitar Top & Bottom, Panch Kali ka Tanpura, Supeti, Scale Changer German Reed Harmonium, Gramophone Player, Dilruba and Gaj, Israj, Hammer and Piano.

The inauguration program to be held on Monday evening will included Sitar Vadan by Kathak Dancer and Music Teacher, Dr. Poonam Joshi from Meera Girls College. Students of MMPS will also present orchestra.

Suraj Narayan Charan, a 54-year-old Technical Assistant at Agriculture Department, Sirohi was found dead at Hawala near Shilpgram today morning. Charan, who basically belongs to Pali, was in Udaipur since last few days and was staying in a hotel.

At first, it was suspected to be a case of murder. However, since Police have found no significant proof (marks of injury etc) of the same, it is now being looked upon as a case of death due to natural reasons. The body has been shifted to mortuary for postmortem.

According to relatives, Charan came to Udaipur on 16^th May for official work. He then went missing from 17^th of May.

Today Nai Police station got information about a body lying at Lover’s Point, Hawala.

After checking the belongings, the deceased was identified as Suraj Narayan Charan. Family of the deceased has been informed.

UPDATE: The cause of death was snake bite, which was later revealed by Police. 

Police have been on the lookout for Dilip since the murder of Vinod was discovered. Dilip had been in hiding and on the run ever since.

Today on a tip off, the Police arrested Dilip from his home in Sisarma after they were told that Dilip was at his home.

Dilip is a regular history-sheeter, with 14 cases registered against him, of which 2 were for murder.

As per Bhavani Singh, CI of Nai Village, these cases were registered in the Nai Police Station. The CI also informed that Dilip will be presented in court tomorrow.

Mass protests by Gulab Chand Kataria’s supporters continue in different parts of the city. Several mandals of Bhartiya Janta Party in Udaipur staged anti-government and anti-CBI protest by burning the effigies and mocking the funeral of CBI.

A protest was laid at Surajpol today evening, where local leaders of BJP expressed anger over CBI’s allegation on Kataria for plotting Sohrabuddin Sheikh’s police encounter in 2005.

CBI presented charge-sheet naming few administrative and political leaders, including a marble businessman in planning the alleged execution of Sohrabuddin.

BJP has also announced State-wide bandh on 18^th May to support Gulab Chand Kataria.

With an initiative of Tourism Department Udaipur, 100 seater double-deck cruise boat will be shortly seen at the Fatehsagar Lake. The cruiser boat will operate on a 60 minutes slow ride across the lake; it is for the first time in Rajasthan that such a service will be launched.

According to the officials of Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC) contract of this service is given to Yash Amusement, which will be responsible for purchase of boat and lawful operations of service for both tourists and local mass of the city.

As per information received from sources, the double-decker boat will be equipped with a solar panel on the roof. While bookings for rides will be open for the whole day, the rides will only be carried out in the evenings every day from the boat stand near Bambaiya Bazaar.

According to Deepak Pandya, Transport Officer, RTDC, this service will take around a month to start, meanwhile discussions on tentative fare for the service is under consideration along with other essentials.

Under this scheme applicable on widows, singles, divorced and aged women, the pension of an amount of Rs. 750 per month will be given to those above 75 years of age, while those below the age of 75 years will be given Rs. 500 as their monthly pension.

Jain priest Acharya Jayantsen Suriswarji was admitted in Geetanjali Hospital due to certain breathing problem reported by him. The prominent saint was later discharged after giving required medicine by expert doctors.

HoDs of Medicine, Chest and T.B. department, including cardiologists of the hospital attended the saint and conducted thorough check up. According to the official press release by hospital authority, C.T. scan showed swelling of thyroid glands.

Kothari luckily escaped the speedy attack on him yesterday evening which is believed to be an assault with the intentions of robbery.

An empty cartridge was found today outside Kothari’s shop which was handed over to police, informed, Yuvraj, son of Kothari.

Four masked men on two motorbikes attacked Kothari while he was getting inside his car, one of the suspects opened fire at Kothari twice but he escaped unhurt. The attackers are said to be aged under-20.

According to a senior police official, many areas of the city have been raided and numbers of suspects have been detained so far.

Under the banner of Chess in Lakecity and Chessman Chess Academy, a district level open Chess Competition for under 11, 15 and 19 year of age group will start from 18^th May, Saturday at Shemford School, University Road.

Following the Statewide strike led by BJP on 18^th May, Engineering Management and College Society of Udaipur has appealed police administration to uphold transport services for students as exams of B.Tech, MBA and MCA are going on in all the colleges affiliated with RTU (Rajasthan Technical University).

Exams will be continuing as per the schedule and transport services like college bus will be available for students, said Piyush Jhaveria of Techno NJR Institute of Technology and Engineering.

Seven colleges of Udaipur, including Techno NJR, Sunrise Group of Institutions, Pacific College, S.S. Engineering College, Aravali Engineering College, Geetanjali Engineering College and Buddha Group of Colleges presented a joint memorandum to Police Superintendent today and asked permission to make the bus service ineffective of Bandh.

The accused advocate Vinod Kumar Pathak (55) quit practicing law from last five years and started duping people in the name of assigning lucrative jobs in Government departments as UDC, LDC and Clerks.

According to police, Pathak has tricked nearly 50 people and made more than Rs. 1 Crore. His illicit trade came to light when three of his victims from Udaipur approached Police Superintendent and registered complaint against the fraudster.

Pathak is arrested by Bhopalpura police and sent on three day remand. In the initial interrogation, police got to know that over the years he has also targeted people from Kota, Jodhpur, Banswara, Bharatpur and Alwar.

Satish Meena, C.I. of Bhopalpura Police Station informed that Pathak used to practice in Banswara, but few years back he got settled in Kherwada and also stopped practicing.

During his house search, police has recovered several fake documents, appointment letters and company / department seals.

Pathak fooled three people from Udaipur, including Prakash Lakhara who was duped of Rs. 1.7 Lac, Babu Singh for Rs. 2.5 Lac and from the third victim, he took Rs. 1.75 Lac.

All three of them approached S.P. of Udaipur and consecutively Pathak was arrested by Police.

I remember the old story that says `every drop is important to form an ocean’. Each one of us is important and can play decisive role in bringing mass awareness and contribute towards spreading awareness and motivate others to do so.

I am an art & craft teacher in a reputed school in Mumbai from past few years. All the drawing material right from the wax colors, pencil colors to drawing books are being provided by the school to the students. We have a `drop box’ kept in each class where the broken colours, half used drawing books, unused craft materials are dumped by the students for disposal.

As a routine, this was a usual practice but now once I read so many stories on Khushi Blog, I was searching for an opportunity to do something different.
The place I stay, in Andheri, has a dense slum where every morning you can see a lot of kids just playing on the road or sitting on the pavement.

Four people on two motorcycles opened fire at Lalit Kothari, a local businessman, while he was on his way home at the 80 Feet Road, MullaTalai. The incident occurred today evening.

Kothari, who runs a business at MullaTalai was driving home in his car when the unidentified assailants attacked him.  Kothari said that the attack was presumably to rob him of his briefcase, which he was carrying with him.  The assailants thought that there was cash in the briefcase, but as per Kothari, all cash was in his pocket.

Organization’s Pradeep Nagda informed that MBA, PGDCA, BCA, MCA and BBA courses will be run under Suresh Gyan Vihar University. Best part of this initiative is that the people from various backgrounds, age and gender will be able to participate in the courses.
