Hindustan Zinc under its ‘Jeevan Tarang – Zinc Ke Sang’ Project has initiated around six month long Campaign – ‘Garv Se’ where these Special Children of God would be participating in series of creative activities to engage them with Hindustan Zinc employees & their families on a same platform.

The program has been formally launched by Hindustan Zinc Ladies Club on 26th September, 2017 where Painting Workshop along with other artistic activities – clay modelling, diya painting & block painting were organized that saw the participation of around 60 children from Viklang Kalyan Samiti, Udaipur & Prayas Sansthan, Udaipur.

The objective of the Campaign is to mainstream the specially abled children by bringing them together with the society/community and Garv Se has been a step towards it by engaging Hindustan Zinc employees and their families through the series of engagements – movie screening, sports, trekking, dance workshops to name a few. “Jeevan Tarang – Zinc Ke Sang” was formally launched on Foundation Day of Hindustan Zinc, i.e., on 10th January, 2017. The fact says that there are over 70 million disabled people in India out of which over 12 million are hearing impaired with hardly 500 government aided Deaf schools providing formal education to these children. Even the teachers working in these schools are not equipped or trained to teach the hearing impaired students as Sign Language is still not accepted as a medium of teaching and communication. More than 90 % of students with deafness do not have access to and are out of the formal education system. Lack of access to language has also kept the deaf away from development of social and cognitive skills. Pavan Kaushik – Head Corporate Communication said “There is a need to understand and mainstream these children with all love and care. Jeevan Tarang is an initiative to work towards a more inclusive society, where every single ability & disability gets the same opportunities and recognition.” ‘Jeevan Tarang’ endeavours to support people with disabilities, with a focus to identify needs of deaf-mute, visually impaired and children with brain damages. Around 500 beneficiaries have been identified from HZL’s operational areas; Kayad Mine, Rampura Agucha Mine, Chanderiya Smelting Complex and Udaipur. Access to knowledge is a basic and human right, a critical first step on the path to economic, educational, and social development. Hindustan Zinc has partnered with experts to build capacities of these institutions. Hindustan Zinc has also partnered with National Handicapped Finance & Development Corporation to support for Skill Building of the disabled persons from among Hindustan Zinc’s districts. Also present were Neelima Khetan – Head CSR, HZL, members of Hindustan Zinc Ladies Club along with HZl employees and their families during the program.

We know that India is a country of flowers, especially those which grow and bloom in summer. They can be seen in remote places like the Himalayas and across the coastal regions. Regardless of summer’s weather, these flowers endow the country with their colors as soon as they burst in variety. Summer is the perfect occasion for enjoying these plants in nature living under temperatures of over 30 degrees. In India, summer starts in March and ends in May, with the beginning of the monsoon season. Here’s a top ten of summer flowers in India that grow from March to June.

  1. Aster

Not all plants have the capacity to brighten the aspect of your garden like the way perennials do. They appear in summer and bloom into fall as long as they are picked. They appear for the first time in June and are very common in places like nurseries. You can see them in gallon cans because they are usually picked by the end of spring since they can be planted from tubers. They look like daisies and can be seen in three colors: pink, white and lavender. The most popular varieties of asters are: melody, little Carlow and Cape cod. We can choose these flowers in Delhi from the International flower market in Delhi.

  1. Gloriosa daisy

Their petals are golden and chocolate and are generally 3 inches wide. They don’t grow so much, just up to 4 feet tall and only 1 foot wide. Goldilocks and Totos are known as two of Gloriosa daisies.

  1. Coreopsis

These flowers are fluffy, and have tall stems. They are nicknamed Sunrays and are usually selected from double and semidouble flowers.

  1. Marigold

If you want to add some color to your garden, marigolds are the perfect choice. They are yellow and brown. They are not only ornamental; they can also be used for medicinal and religious purposes. Some people extract their pigment for cooking. Marigold is widely available in Bagalore flower market.

  1. Lotus

It is the national flower of the country and is considered a water plant. Their color ranges from pink to white. Their petals open in the morning and close when the sunset begins. It is a delicate flower that adds more color to the garden.

  1. Roses

These flowers will definitely add cheer to any garden they are planted. One downside about them is the extreme care they need, but their color makes the garden brighten in summer. If they are well protected and watered, they keep on blooming all the season long. As they attract pests, planting alone is not a good idea. Marigolds are ideal for pest control.

  1. Hibiscus

They are characterized by their plush and bloom. They can grow a lot, so it is better to plant them in spacious areas. Make sure it receives sunlight directly, so it will bloom during the entire season non-stop.

  1. Sunflowers

They are some of the most popular flowers of this list. Once they are in the garden, they make it look vibrant. They survive in extreme temperatures, for example, summer’s weather. They shouldn’t be over watered because that weakens the plant.

  1. Musk roses

These roses grow in the entire territory. They produce gorgeous, fragrant when they cluster. The musk rose’s season starts in May. In nature, their color varies from dark to red. There’s no doubt it is a must-have in the garden.

  1. Lilies

They are good withstanding hot temperatures. They don’t need so much watering because of their notable weather hardiness. Their petals can wither when the sun is too strong; however, their bulbs remain alive. They bloom in the middle of a sunny weather, which makes them stand out from other plants.

Baba Ram Rahim seems to be having a very interesting connection with Udaipur. He was looking at developing Udaipur as his second base after Sirsa.

As per media reports, Baba had also bought huge tracts of land for development in Udaipur. He had Dera offices opened here and even managed to impress the tribals in the belt. Not only that, Baba even wanted to open up a 5-star hotel in Udaipur. Thankfully, his dreams related to Udaipur remained unfulfilled.

Speculations were also raised about Baba Ram Rahim’s connection with Udaipur’s royal family after his photograph’s with Maharana Arvind Singh surfaced. The photograph was clicked when Baba had gone to pay a courtesy visit to Maharana when he had gone there to watch a film shooting. Beyond that, there are not updates about Baba’s connection with Udaipur royalty.

It is also being claimed that Baba was in Udaipur 4-5 days before his arrest. He had stayed in Hotel Leela Palace along with Honeypreet in the same room. It is speculated that Honeypreet was Baba’s main advisor in his Udaipur expansion plan.

In a shocking claim, it is speculated that Pradeep Goyal (who played a major role in triggering Sirsa riots after Baba’s arrest) organised 22 buses of rioters from Udaipur and Banswara belts by paying Rs 25000 to each person.

In a shocking incident, an undertrial prisoner tried to hit the magistrate with a slipper in one of the courts in the Udaipur District and Session court campus yesterday.

The incident happened around 4:30pm yesterday in (Civil)North court no 2. The undertrial, Bhairulal Jat, was undergoing trial in case related to Arms Act. This happened yesterday when the proceeding where going on. All of a sudden, Bhairulal flung his slipper towards the judge. Fortunately, given that he directly tried to fling it from his legs, the slipper did not go too far and hit the lower portion of magistrates desk. He then tried to take out the other slipper but by this time the guards rushed towards him and nabbed him.

Considering the serious disrespect of the judicial institution, lady magistrate immediately reported the matter to Chief Judicial Magistrate. Chief Judicial Magistrate then asked the Bhupalpura police station to register a case in this regard.

As per sources, Bhairulal seemed to be under severe depression as he was lodged in jail for over 7 months. He was arrested in February this year by Hiran Magri police for possessing a knife. Though, an immediate bail is permitted by law in such minor cases but since none of Bhairulal’s family member appealed for the same, he has been languishing in jail leading to state of depression.
