They also saw a new carpet, which was commissioned for the Concert Hall's 100th anniversary, and was made in Märta Måås-Fjetterström's weaving workshop in Båstad and designed by the artist Ernst Billgren.

At noon, a procession took place from the Royal Palace to Oslo Cathedral with King Haakon leading members of his family behind King Harald’s coffin. Foreign royal guests also took part in the procession.

The State Funeral took place at Oslo Cathedral and the service was conducted by Bishop Olav Fykse Tveit. A one-minute silence was observed at the beginning of the service. The President of the Storting and the Prime Minister gave speeches. Crown Princess Victoria, King Harald’s goddaughter, did a reading. Crown Princess Victoria wore a brooch that was gifted to her by King Harald.

Afterward, another procession took place from Oslo Cathedral to Akershus Castle Church where a private service took place for the family and foreign royal guests. After the private service, King Haakon and Queen Mette-Marit came out of the courtyard of Akershus Fortress as the flags that were flying at half-mast were raised and a double royal salute was fired.

The Norwegian Royal Family then traveled back to the Royal Palace and King Haakon, Queen Mette-Marit, Crown Princess Ingrid Alexandra, Queen Sonja, and Prince Sverre Magnus appeared on the Palace’s balcony.

King Haakon, Queen Mette-Marit, their children, and Queen Sonja then hosted a reception at the Palace for foreign royal guests.

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima then visited the Esserheem correctional facility where they met inmates who work in the wood and metal workshops and are undergoing training, as well as incarcerated fathers who follow a special program to maintain the best possible bond with their children.

The Royal Couple also visited a dairy farm which has an approach to reduce nitrogen emissions and improve water quality.

Afterward, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima visited Zeijen village to meet with villagers who are working to keep the village lively and attractive.

The Royal Couple then went to Assen where they heard more about the Assen Safety Campus which aims They also visited the youth theatre workshop Garage TDI where they watched a performance and met with the actors to discuss the importance of youth theatre. King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima concluded their visit at the Nijsinghhuis at De Buitenplaats in Eelde, part of the Drents Museum. They met with volunteers dedicated to preserving this former town hall, where heritage, art, and greenery come together.

King Haakon took his Oath of Allegiance in front of the Storting, the Norwegian Parliament. He was joined by Crown Princess Ingrid Alexandra, Queen Sonja, and Prince Sverre Magnus. Queen Mette-Marit was unable to attend as she suffered from complications from her transplant.

During the ceremony, King Haakon said: “The Queen and I would like to confirm that we are available to carry out our duty for the country and the people. In this tradition, I, as King of Norway, have also adopted the motto "Everything for Norway".”

After the ceremony at Parliament, the Royal Family went back to the Royal Palace. There, Crown Princess Ingrid Alexandra signed her own Oath of Allegiance to the Constitution. The Oath was brought to the Storting in the afternoon. With this Oath, Crown Princess Ingrid Alexandra can now act as Regent in King Haakon’s absence.
